Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 228: From now on, I decide where the floating island goes

At this moment, for the flying floating island that already stood above the clouds, I added a stroke of fiery clouds.

The scorching flames in the sky illuminated the entire flying island.

It was as if another sun had appeared on the map of the entire exchange competition.

The scorching high temperature swept through the entire area, and even the clouds faded considerably under the cleansing of the heat.

Flames condensed into raindrops and scattered upon this holy flying island at this moment.

Such a terrifying and strange phenomenon seemed to pull this place into a domain of fire.

And I walked into the central church.

The interior here was vast and magnificent, and with a glance, I saw the statue of the Holy Angel.

The massive statue appeared so solemn and majestic within the church.

The colorful glass at the top reflected the color of the crimson flames outside the window, creating a splendor dominated by red on the church floor, forming a sense of apocalypse like the twilight of the gods.

“What’s going on? Who are you!”

At this moment, the Holy Angel standing in the middle of the church praying finally couldn’t hold it in any longer.

This strange phenomenon almost made her think that the Holy Angel Academy was about to be destroyed.

But when she turned around and saw the unfamiliar figure at the church entrance, along with the iconic witch’s attire, she instantly felt as if she had fallen into an ice cellar.

Especially when she saw the familiar face that had broken her wings, a look of terror appeared in her eyes.

At that moment, the first thing she thought of was, could it be that the Witch Academy has attacked?

But the next moment, she thought of getting up and running forward.

Why so fast?

But in fact, it was true.

The Witch Academy had indeed attacked, and I was the only one who came.

“We meet again, Miss Elwis. It seems your wings have recovered well, but this time I won’t be playing with you with such bad taste.”

I said to her with a smile.

At this moment, the flames of the Fire Rain Domain had already burned through the church’s glass, and even the stone dome was now covered in inextinguishable flames.

“Here, please go to your death.”

I stepped forward, giving her no chance to continue speaking, nor the chance to run towards the huge statue inside the church ahead.

Although villains die from talking too much, one can talk while taking action.

The most important source of Holy Light power for the flying floating island naturally existed in this central church, or rather, it was the cluster of Holy Light, as blazing as a small sun, held between the hands of the Holy Angel statue, watched over by its compassionate gaze.

The center of the most conspicuous energy transmission path of the flying floating island led here, and I had reason to believe this.

And this statue was part of the ritual to condense this core.

So, if I wanted to destroy their power core, I probably just had to destroy this statue.

This power was not only closely related to the Holy Angels; from the perspective of Spirit Vision, I could see it connecting the entire flying floating island, with dense energy transmission extending to every corner with the statue as its core.

As expected, the flying floating island did have defensive measures.

The floating white jade carved pillars I saw before were not decorations from the beginning, but structures for self-defense driven by the power of the Holy Light.

I guess it was because a full-scale activation consumed too much of the transcendent Holy Light’s power, or were they very confident in their defense of the flying floating island?

The most crucial thing was that the one guarding the most important church was still this girl named Elwis.

I guess after I broke her wings, she was here doing some kind of penance and prayer.

Two Holy Angels had been eliminated by now, what about the remaining ones?

“Witch! I knew you were lying to me! You actually came here!”

“But sorry, you’re late. I have doubts about your academy’s ability to defend its base. Or do you think you, a single angel, can stop me? Call everyone out. You should still have three angels left if nothing unexpected happened.”

At this moment, I was chugging a recovery potion and turned to look at the guy who let me in.

Although I didn’t know his name, the other party must have suffered a lot passing through the fire rain.

Many of the white feathers on his back were scorched, and even his clothes were torn in several places.

Standing before me now, the Holy Light protection on his body had not yet dissipated.

Unfortunately the current Fire Rain Domain was not like Tan Han’s Ancient Glacial Ice Transformation Spell.

The damage threshold of this domain was very low, but its potential upper limit was definitely higher than the Ancient Glacial Ice Transformation Spell.

It’s just that the one using the Fire Rain Domain was the current me.

The current me couldn’t master this domain very well yet, and at this moment, any angel could traverse my Fire Rain Domain and come before me.

Recalling the last time I used it, I had forced those elves to hide under the World Tree, not daring to come out.

Although I was targeting them last time, and I didn’t intervene this time, so it couldn’t be used as a comparison, but the fact remained.

I looked up at the dome of this church.

This thing was still too much in the way.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have any good means to blow off their dome.

Oh, not necessarily Rock Collapse Spell should work.

Although it’s just a basic consumption spellbook, with the application of earth-rock resonance shattering, it should be very effective.

It might not just be this church that collapses, the entire flying floating island might experience ground fissures and so on.

But the specific degree of destruction would depend on the actual situation.

To put it bluntly, this was just a basic evocation spell.

I could condense the fire rain to burn the stones, and similarly use high temperatures to make them crack.

One shouldn’t underestimate the control the fire rain has over temperature within the domain.

“Witch! Die!”

At this moment, another Holy Angel came over.

Only these two were left in front of me.

Even the two of them were somewhat astonished at this moment, wondering why, when the flying island was in such a great crisis, only the two of them had reached the core area.

“Where’s Elwis! She was in the church, what did you, this witch, do to her!”

“Sent her off. It’s not my place to say, but is it really a good idea for you guys to let a traumatized girl guard such an important place?”

“You! I’ll fight you to the death!”

“If you dare to come over, then I’ll destroy your statue, ruin the core ritual, and leave you all completely powerless!”

At this moment, I had already arrived on top of the statue and was threatening them.

But the terrified expressions I imagined they would have did not appear.

Instead, they looked as if they wanted to perish together with me.

“Did you hear me! This is the core of your flying floating island! Without this, your Angel Halos will all shatter from energy dissipation!”

To make them understand, I reiterated once more, taking out the ball of energy held in the hands of the Holy Angel statue and holding it in my hand.

I could feel the energy supply of the entire flying floating island being interrupted, but apart from that, there seemed to be nothing else.

“I’ve never seen such a foolish witch like you. That’s the energy source for activating the floating island’s defense facilities after our ritual. And with just that, you want our Angel Halos to shatter?”

At this moment, the other party directly mocked me.

“Thank… you…”

I said through gritted teeth.

When I couldn’t see the terror in their eyes, I had probably already guessed that this might not be the core I thought it was.

In the end, I suffered from a lack of knowledge.

So I unhesitatingly put away this ball of energy.

I originally wanted to crush it, but there was too much energy inside, I was afraid that crushing it would obliterate me along with it.

Since there was nothing to threaten them with, I switched tactics and went for a direct assault!

But at this moment, after using the Fire Rain Domain spell, the consumption was too great.

Even after chugging a potion, my body still felt a bit weak.

But it was more than enough to deal with these two Holy Angel small fries.

After the other party activated their Holy War Angel state, I must say, they were quite troublesome.

Since there was nothing in the church to threaten them with, I couldn’t be bothered to think about overturning the dome and directly put on the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Fire and went out.

Outside was my home ground.

At this moment, feeling the fire rain descend drop by drop, destroying everything visible here, the previously pure white flying floating island was now ignited by flames, and any combustible material had turned into charcoal.

After resonating with the flames within the domain, this sense of control over the domain returned once again.

The two Holy Angels who rushed out of the church were sent flying backward as if they had been solidly slapped by the fire element.

“Are you two the only Holy Angels on the entire flying island?”

I asked calmly.

But in reality, I just wanted to create some distance to use Spirit Vision to check which part of the entire flying floating island was their source of power.

If I didn’t destroy it, these birdmen could still act arrogantly.

I was too complacent before.

Now I must put away this feeling of contempt.

I was destroying the enemy’s base right now!

There was no room for carelessness.

“Even if it’s just the two of us, don’t even think about destroying the Holy Light Source. You can’t do it alone, not even with your methods!”

“Very confident. Who gave you that confidence?”

With another blow, I beat them to the ground in a sorry state.

That suit of angel armor was really taking a beating, but I was reluctant to kill them now.

I still wanted to ask for other information.

Otherwise, why would I go to so much trouble just to kill a few Holy Angels and ”redecorate” their flying island?

That would be too much of a loss.

“Tell me where your source of power is?”

I lifted one of them and questioned him.

Even if I didn’t ask, I probably already knew where the so-called source of power was.

It was at the very core, beneath the entire flying floating island.

But that place was well-protected.

Methods like domains couldn’t centrally destroy the entire flying floating island.

They were right, my methods really couldn’t destroy it.

But it was impossible for them to be invincible like this.

There must be a way to destroy it.

This was the exchange competition, and everything had to be ”fair.”

Otherwise, why should our Witch Academy be subject to so many restrictions?

“Just wait for death! I will never tell you! Never! Ptooey!”

“Interesting, but it doesn’t matter.”

With a wave of my hand, the fire rain’s resonance targeted their Angel Halos.

I wanted to see what they would do as ordinary people without their Angel Halos.

I was smarter this time, destroying the Angel Halos from a distance, so the explosion of the Angel Halos wouldn’t affect me.

Following the two bursts of Holy Light power, having lost their strength, they began to look like fried food in a pan of oil amidst the fire rain.

If I hadn’t reached out to protect them and brought them to the church, they might have died in the next moment.

Although they weren’t far from death now.

“If you keep being stubborn, I’ll throw you into the fire rain. If I had known you were so fragile, I wouldn’t have wasted magic power with this method.”

I frowned and said.

I originally thought it would be a tough battle, but now it felt like playing house.

“Kill me, witch!”

“You’re determined to die?”

Now that they had become ordinary people, they could no longer pose a threat to me, but their current mindset was truly a bit difficult to handle.

No one could pry any useful information from the mouth of someone determined to die.

Speaking of which, how many times had I heard something like ”kill me” from others?

I couldn’t remember clearly, but it wasn’t a very important matter.

At most, it just proved that I had done something very excessive and malicious to them.

“It doesn’t matter. Even if you don’t tell me, I know. The entire flying floating island, this church is located at the very center. The source of your Holy Angels’ power is actually inside the whole island, right? Also at the very bottom of the church.”

I stomped my foot and said with a smile.

“Heh heh… So what if you know? You can’t touch it.”

“Right, I can’t touch it.”

I nodded and said, but my gaze was fixed on the huge statue in front of me.

I had seen before that this statue was the “hub” that guided that energy source, and it was also part of the ritual.

I hadn’t thought much about it before.

Looking at it now, taking the energy source away was the wrong move.

Since this controlled the energy supply of the entire floating island, there must be a control hub.

I placed the energy source back into the hands of the angel statue.

At this moment, the entire floating island seemed to have “rebooted.”

A light screen appeared in front of the statue.

This UI design quickly made me think of the “Earth Vein Operating System.”

“I was wondering why this thing looked so familiar.”

I manipulated the light screen; it really had the feel of the Earth Vein Operating System.

And those two birdmen, upon seeing me force open the floating island’s defense hub by “rebooting” it, were in a panic.

How did the other party know!

“No! Impossible! How could you possibly…”

“Look at the nonsense you’re spouting. I’m not a primitive person, how could I not know? You haven’t used the Earth Vein Operating System before, have you? It’s so similar to this.”

“It’s useless! The authority needed for the defense system is with Lord Aqier. You can’t use it!”

“With him? No wonder I hacked in so quickly without any defense. So you guys don’t have the authority.”

I smiled and shook my head, continuing to explore the remaining functions.

I couldn’t control the defense system, which included the protective shield covering the entire floating island, the white jade pillar, Holy Light divine art cannons, and many other functions.

So, the students of the Holy Angel Academy who hadn’t completed the ritual were not the complete masters of this sky island.

Last night, the Holy Angels completed the ritual, obtained the energy source, opened these functions, and activated all the functions of the floating island.

No wonder they arrogantly left these guys to guard the base.

They also didn’t expect their base to be raided by a witch.

Back then, that girl named Elwis wanted to get up to control this and counterattack, right?

Perhaps Aqier had granted her the authority.

A bit of a pity she was killed by me.

But even if I hadn’t killed her, she wouldn’t have cooperated with me.

In fact, it’s the same whether I killed her or not.

The basic functions of the flying floating island didn’t require authority.

I wondered how this authority could be changed.

Was it defaulted to the Holy Angel Academy’s team leader?

“By the way, your flying floating island can actually move? I thought it couldn’t move, since it’s always been in this place.”

But unfortunately, some very important operations seemed to require authority, including moving the entire floating island.

At this moment, these two Holy Angels no longer had the strength to curse at me.

Perhaps knowing that I didn’t have authority, they weren’t acting as fiercely now.

“By the way, do you know how to transfer authority?”

“Heh heh, do you think I would tell you?”

“Didn’t you just say it? So the authority can be transferred, hehe.”

I said with a sarcastic laugh.

This time, it completely shut them up, because they knew that the more they said at this moment, the more information they would reveal.

At this point, turning back, I also felt a bit of a headache.

This floating island was like a safe enclosing the core Holy Light Source.

Even if I concentrated the full heat of the fire rain, I couldn’t destroy this thing.

After all, this floating island was not the World Tree.

Even with the World Tree, I had only broken one of its branches.

And my giant sword summon had now become a joke.

The damage caused by its own gravity was definitely less than the damage caused by my full fire rain resonance.

You could say I was trapped by the authority prompt that popped up.

It was quite laughable when I thought about it.

Following these operations, I finally found the people who currently had authority.

One was the Aqier they mentioned, and the other was actually Elwis, but Elwis’s avatar was dimmed at the moment.

It seemed like it was temporarily gone after being killed?

Just as I was checking to see if I could find more information, I clicked on Elwis’s avatar, and an option.

Apply for emergency authority?

Popped up.

I clicked to apply without hesitation, and then an alternative qualification popped up.

“Is it that simple…”

I was a little incredulous.

Next was information confirmation, whether it was operated by the person themselves.

“It seems you still have some remaining value.”

I came before them, picked them up, and brought them here for identity verification.

“What! You! Don’t even think about it!”

At this moment, this Holy Angel student struck the ugliest pose of his life, all to prevent the verification from succeeding.

“Behave.”

After I slapped him into a state of semi-consciousness, he actually became a bit more obedient.

“Verification successful. Welcome, Peidi Peter. You have obtained temporary authority for the floating island.”

“Well done.”

I smiled and knocked him unconscious with a punch to prevent him from committing suicide and making the authority disappear.

As for the other one, he received the same treatment, to be used as a backup, and also to prevent him from killing this guy.

I also placed a Restraint on them.

For them, who had no power, there was not the slightest possibility of resistance against the Restraint.

“Now I am the master of the floating island! Full-range shields open, don’t let a single mosquito in. All divine art defense systems, enter energy storage mode!”

At this moment, giving orders felt incredibly satisfying.

The power of the floating island was so terrifying!

This reminded me of the Wizard Tower.

That Wizard Tower was probably similar, right?

But amidst my excitement, I also noticed that the energy source in the statue’s hands was being consumed rapidly.

No wonder the Holy Angel Academy didn’t just fly the floating island over to cause trouble for our Witch Academy.

So the energy source was consumed this quickly?

I guess they were also reluctant to use it, right?

Even if this series of operations couldn’t cause any damage to the floating island, it could at least consume the hidden rules they obtained from the ritual.

They would at least feel the pain for a long time!

As for what I would do after activating the floating island.

Naturally, it would be to maximize benefits, attack the Wizard Tower!

No matter who wins or loses in the end, I won’t be at a loss.

I remember the power of that terrifying stored energy Grand Sorcery on top of the Wizard Tower.

I wonder if that one strike can break through the floating island’s defenses?

If it can, then everyone is happy.

If it can’t, then I’m sorry, Wizard Tower, you might be crushed to smithereens by the Holy Angel Academy’s floating island.

“Oh, right, I haven’t taken the storage equipment from these two guys yet, and I forgot about the previous two as well… Aiya… how many resources have been wasted.”

At this moment, I slapped my head, remembering such an important matter.

Of course, what I needed most were recovery potions.

I wonder if the Holy Angels would store potions.

Although the floating island was their source of power, they couldn’t possibly not want recovery potions, right?

Recovery potions can also restore the power of the Holy Light.
