Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 202: Talking About an Alliance to Your Face, While Going on a Rampage Behind Your Back

After going over, I couldn’t help but marvel at how quickly the Dragon Blood Academy had gathered at this active volcano.

Although Dragon Blood Academy and its affiliated academies weren’t the same academy, in a way, they were pretty much the same.

Besides the one I met earlier, there was the one leading me now, and the “boss” they mentioned.

Had they all already met?

“It feels like you guys gathered really quickly. The active volcano area should be quite large, right? How did you all gather together so fast?”

I asked.

“I can’t tell you witches that.”

“Alright.”

I waved my hand.

Since he wouldn’t say, it must be a secret.

It couldn’t just be good luck, right?

Why didn’t our Witch Academy have this kind of luck?

Was it because the Central Ancient Battlefield was too big?

Just as I got close to the ritual site, before I could even cross the obscuring hill to see the ritual, I was stopped by a figure.

“Who are you! Wait, a witch? I told you to patrol, what are you doing bringing an enemy into our heartland!”

“Boss Yin Wenhao, this... this is a witch who came to form an alliance... I saw that she didn’t... didn’t...”

At this moment, upon seeing the other person, this guy started trembling all over, even his voice quivered as he spoke.

Could this be the so-called bloodline suppression?

“An alliance?”

This dragon-person called Yin Wenhao looked at me with great vigilance, though his eyes held a strong sense of curiosity.

“Hello, I hope my sudden intrusion isn’t a problem.”

I looked at this guy who was almost fully dragonized.

His chilling dragon scales were clearly incomparable to the other two next to him, and the dragon wings behind him were also very exaggerated.

They stretched slightly with his tone, looking as if he could take off with a single flap.

Able to fly, with high mobility, no wonder they could start the ritual here so quickly.

“It’s a huge problem. We at Dragon Blood Academy don’t need help from other academies. Get lost! I see you’re a girl, and I never hit girls proactively. Go now, don’t be ungrateful!”

“Actually, there’s no need for this. Isn’t mutual benefit a good thing? You’re not the only ones preparing to start a ritual right now.”

As I spoke, I turned sideways to hint at the pillar of light in the distance.

“I can contribute to your Dragon Blood Banquet. In exchange, our Witch Academy wants to hold a Witch Tea Party on the Ancient Dragon Corpse. You know that our Witch Tea Party ritual has very high requirements for its location. If we don’t cooperate, it’ll be almost impossible for us to compete for the academy ranking.”

“A fine calculation, but we don’t need it!”

Although I said a lot, in the end, I was met with his rejection, and an attack.

“Violence can’t solve all problems.”

Facing his attack, I directly stopped him with a Fireball.

Originally, he hadn’t cared and planned to tank it directly with his dragon scales.

After all, a spell cast so quickly naturally wouldn’t have the power to break through dragon scales known for their defense, but he soon realized his mistake.

The high temperature released by the exploding Fireball instantly heated his dragon scales to a crimson state, and the explosive impact also caught him off guard.

But he naturally wouldn’t back down from just this.

With a roar, the transcendent power of dragon blood vibrated out with the sound waves.

“Hiss... what a loud voice.”

After taking that hasty “Dragon’s Roar” head-on, I realized that some attacks could bypass my current methods.

I was indeed careless.

If he were more skilled with this ability, I’m afraid I would have been killed by that one shout.

But the next moment, when he wanted to press his advantage and take me down, I wasn’t a pushover either.

After several Evocation Spells completely cut off his attack, he gathered his strength to roar again.

“Silence.”

After my spell hit, he looked as uncomfortable as if he had phlegm stuck in his throat that he couldn’t spit out.

And the anger in his eyes grew even more intense.

But after a few more exchanges, a Restraint spell directly suppressed his upper limbs.

I could be considered to have narrowly won.

I didn’t use my full strength, but he was truly enraged.

However, this also let me understand what his normal combat power was roughly like.

“Stop. I’ve shown my strength. Don’t you think there’s value in joining forces? You can tell I was holding back, right?”

“Tch... spells are really troublesome, but I’d like to see how much more energy you have left for casting!”

“A few hundred, probably. Each of my spells consumes about one point. Are you sure you want to drag this out? Even if I hold back, your body won’t be able to take it. And if you’re held up by me, what will you use to prepare for the ritual?”

I asked with a smile.

“You dare threaten me? Our ritual has already begun. The others from Dragon Blood Academy will be here soon. You’re the one who should be panicking!”

“Now, now, have you forgotten my original intention for coming here?”

My smile widened.

If everyone’s strength was at this level, wouldn’t it be a massacre?

It was just a bit of a pity.

It would be difficult if I were besieged.

After all, I could only cast Silence on one person at a time.

I hadn’t expected such a spell to be so effective at this moment.

“You really just want to form an alliance?”

“The fact that I haven’t killed you and run away is the greatest sincerity. Don’t you think?”

“Fine... but you can’t get too close to our ritual! I can acknowledge your strength, and I will explain the situation to the others when they arrive.”

“Still don’t trust me? It’s fine, it’s fine.”

I said with a smile.

It was natural not to trust me.

I was just trying to cast a long line to catch a big fish.

I wanted to see how many people this ritual would attract.

I was just curious why there was no movement from the members of the Witch Academy.

It couldn’t be that not a single one spawned near the Forged Ancient City, right?

Or did they get lost because they were unfamiliar with the terrain?

Or perhaps they were heading towards Dragon Blood Academy?

But... rituals of other academies don’t have special notifications.

They probably wouldn’t get involved in this, right?

In that case, I’d better speed things up.

I briefly checked the rankings.

The top few were no longer at zero.

The contestants had started making contact, so naturally, there would be fighting.

I couldn’t afford to be slow, not when the opportunity was right in front of me.

Maybe I should make my move now.

If more people arrived, there’d be the danger of being surrounded.

But in the end, I held back.

I stood silently beyond the agreed-upon distance.

Before long, I saw those dragon-people flying.

The size of their wingspan was even larger than I had expected.

Flying through the sky, they would kick up a strong gust of wind.

It seemed that dragons also used the power of wind when taking off.

Perhaps the transcendent power within their bodies could manipulate or resonate with the wind element.

The way this wind kicked up was truly abnormal.

And I noticed that the arm of the arriving Dragon Blood Academy student had also dragonized.

Slender, ferocious, and powerful dragon claws were gripping an unknown creature as he flew this way.

I quickly realized native creatures.

It wasn’t just the Ancient Battlefield that regularly spawned those Earth Vein Phantoms of the Past; other places also had many native creatures.

For example, the Blood Clan’s Land of Eternal Darkness had many creatures that could become blood slaves.

That place could be directly called a pasture.

I felt some sympathy for the students of the Blood Slave Academy.

It felt like their role was about to be replaced by NPCs.

“Who are you! Yin Wenhao, you started the preparations for the ritual, why would you let someone from another academy stay here?”

“She’s from the Witch Academy. We’ve made a deal. It’s none of your business!”

At this moment, Yin Wenhao directly confronted him, his aura not losing out to anyone.

I wanted to snicker from the side.

I thought he would explain properly.

So this was how the Dragon Blood Academy communicated amongst themselves?

They were going to have internal strife right from the start.

“What deal! You believe someone from the Witch Academy? And she’s that... that Yang Yuehan! Are you blind! I don’t know about your strength, but you’re letting such a huge threat stay here while you wait for us to bring sacrifices for the ritual?”

“Does this young man from Dragon Blood Academy know me? What an honor. But please don’t be so hostile. I came with sincerity, hoping to borrow your Ancient Dragon Corpse here after your ritual is complete.”

I said to them with a slight smile.

So this guy recognized me.

No wonder he didn’t attack me right away.

Were there such cautious people among the Dragon Clan?

Or had the dragon blood not yet turned him into a muscle-headed barbarian?

Only these few have arrived so far, and only a few drakonids.

Making a move now felt like a bit of a waste, but it wasn’t impossible.

However, before that, let’s see this guy’s reaction.

“You’re not welcome here! Get lost! I don’t care what Yin Wenhao promised you, but as long as I’m here, you are not welcome! We, the Dragon Blood Academy, do not need to join forces with the Witch Academy, nor will we form an alliance, and we certainly won’t lend you any Ancient Dragon Corpse, even if it’s just a fake thing in a dream state.”

“You saying that really hurts my feelings. Young man Yin Wenhao, are you planning to go back on our agreement just like that?”

I directly pointed the spear at Yin Wenhao.

Since their relationship seemed average, I didn’t mind stirring up some trouble.

“Sorry, since someone objects, there’s nothing I can do. Besides, I never made any agreement with you! And you haven’t helped us with anything yet.”

“If you’re going to be like this, then I guess I’ll have to show my hand, hmm?”

Seeing that my provocation didn’t cause a disagreement, I was a little disappointed.

It seemed their relationship was just talk; they were quite united on matters of principle.

And did they think they had the advantage in a two-on-one, so they were acting tough?

“Show your hand? As expected, you didn’t come here with good intentions!”

“Of course. We’re witches, after all. Did you really think a witch would come to bring you warmth?”

I chuckled and clapped my hands.

The sound of clapping echoed through the mountains, and soon, several figures emerged from behind the various peaks.

One, two...

“How is this possible? Your Witch Academy is targeting our Dragon Blood Academy right from the start? Why? We have no grievances between us!”

At this moment, seeing so many figures appear, they instantly panicked.

Especially Yin Wenhao; he had witnessed my strength.

So many people, and witches were mostly spellcasters this was definitely going to be a complete rout!

“Tan Han! You’re here too! You planned all of this, didn’t you!”

“That’s right, I planned all of this. I didn’t expect your Dragon Blood Academy to be so cooperative as to hold a ritual directly. After I shatter this ritual, all the academies will turn their attention to the other most threatening academy. Wouldn’t it be wonderful for our Witch Academy to then hold our Witch Tea Party here?”

“Lunatics, all of you at the Witch Academy are lunatics! You... Ah!”

Before he could finish, I got close and backstabbed him with a “weapon” condensed from a Fireball.

“You... you are, weren’t you over...”

“Over? Over where? Goodbye?”

I sent him flying with a single blow.

The modded fire blade left inside his body exploded, just like a Fireball.

“Sorry, I forgot to ask his name, but I remember you. Yin Wenhao, right? Nice name. It’s suitable for our Witch Academy. Any thoughts on becoming a dragon girl?”

At this moment, Yin Wenhao, who was shocked by my clean and swift sneak attack, hadn’t yet realized what I had just said.

He just subconsciously looked at my previous position.

It was so far away, but wasn’t there still a person standing there?

A clone?

“You! You dare to humiliate me like this! Die!”

“Angry? Angry already? That won’t do.”

I still had a smile on my face as a fireball in my hand took the shape of a weapon.

Although a fireball was plenty lethal in any shape, it was indeed more convenient to use when shaped like a weapon.

Should I find a weapon-summoning spell to use later?

I found that I really liked close combat; I was about to become a melee mage.

In a way, people who use transformation spells could also be considered melee mages, right?

“Die! Just die! You set a trap for our Dragon Blood Academy, I’ll have you buried with me!”

“Losing your head in a fight is a sure path to failure.”

Under the effect of Spirit Vision, I could see the power of his dragon blood rushing straight to his head.

This was probably what it meant to truly be ’headed’, right?

And the flame in my hand, after my modding, had a greatly improved magic power utilization rate.

If it weren’t for the energy shield protecting me, the high temperature would have at least curled my hair.

But even now, relying on this modded technique, I could still scrape off his dragon scales.

“Silence, Restraint, Blinding, Weakening of the Five Senses... Hehe, can you even handle this scrawny dog?”

At this moment, his dragon scales were being scraped off and sent flying everywhere by me.

The scales that fell to the ground were glowing red-hot, proof of what they had endured before breaking off.

But just one taunt and he couldn’t take it anymore.

My interest also faded, so I directly gave him the finishing blow.

“If you feel unwilling, you can come find me for revenge anytime.”

At the last moment of his death, I said to him with a smile.

After death, one would revive randomly.

Finding me in a short time would be harder than reaching the heavens.

After dealing with these two Dragon Blood Academy students who had met up the fastest, there were still a few drakonids from the affiliated academies left.

I didn’t let them go either, preparing to slaughter them one by one.

These were all points.

I glanced at the rankings and saw I had jumped to first place.

It seemed I had reaped the benefits of a mass slaughter.

However, after flipping through the rankings a bit, I saw Tan Han.

Her score wasn’t zero either.

It seemed she had started killing.

“Wait... wait! Great Witch...”

When there was only one guy left, I recognized him.

It was the drakonid who brought me here.

I didn’t expect him to hide so well.

“Speak. I’ll give you three seconds. Let’s see if you can move me.”

“Three seconds... how is three seconds enough! Wait! That guy! Dana, why was he watching the whole time and you didn’t kill him!”

“Oh? Him?”

I looked at the illusory clone that had been watching the show from the side.

Then, I stomped my heel, and the illusory clone scurried over, kneeled at my feet, and adopted a fawning attitude.

“See? Do you see it now? Understand the reason?”

I smiled and directly ended his life, giving him a final shock before death.

I wondered if he’d ever be able to look that drakonid named Dana in the eye again.

For now, the matter seemed to have come to a temporary end.

My illusory clone also turned back into my appearance.

After all, I didn’t like my clone appearing before me in such an image.

My original appearance was much more pleasing to the eye.

Next was to destroy their ritual.

This so-called Dragon Blood Banquet ritual really looked pathetic.

The sacrifices used for the blood offering were all quite lame.

Only the sacrificial altar they set up was a little interesting.

Just as I was admiring it, I sensed the arrival of another figure in the distance.

The huge dragon wings also revealed the other party’s identity.

Was this like the Calabash Brothers saving their grandfather, sending themselves over one by one?

Just as I was about to get up and fight, he was ambushed in mid-air.

A spell hit him directly, causing him to lose his balance in the air and fall.

“Ooh?”

Like watching a show, I took out my broom and flew into the sky, also casting an energy shield on myself.

I wanted to see who it was.

“Tan Han?”

After seeing her, I let out a small gasp.

Then I looked at the other Tan Han on the other side of the mountain.

That was my illusory clone, so this one was real?

I watched as Tan Han went up and crushed the opponent with ease.

I kind of wanted to cheer for her.

The battle between Tan Han’s transformation spell and the dragon-person was truly brilliant.

At this moment, many things came to mind.

I wondered if there was a giant dragon transformation spell.

There should be, right?

I kind of wanted one to play with.

The opponent seemed to be just a newcomer infused with dragon blood, yet his combat power was so terrifying.

A giant dragon transformation spell or something, wouldn’t its combat power be off the charts?

“Little Han, I didn’t expect you to be here.”

“Ahem Tan Han, you stole my kill.”

“Sorry, I’ll return the favor when I have the chance. By the way, have you met any other students from the Witch Academy?”

“No. Weren’t we planning to hold the ritual in the Forged Ancient City? I thought you had gone, so I came here to join the fun and have a look, planning to head over once your ritual started.”

“I see. But you should be careful too. I saw quite a few people coming over to check out the situation on my way here. Let’s destroy this ritual quickly.”

“Alright, you can do the hard labor then. Consider it payment for stealing my kill just now. I can’t be bothered to wait for you to let me have it.”

I said with a shrug.

“Mm.”

Tan Han didn’t waste any words either.

Taking advantage of the fact that her transformation spell hadn’t worn off, she went up and delivered a heavy blow to the ritual here.

The ritual was destroyed, and the pillar of light disappeared.

With the disappearance of the pillar of light, this phenomenon attracted the attention of many people.

But the ones who found it most unbelievable were the students of Dragon Blood Academy.

Their perfect starting hand was completely ruined.

“Alright, Tan Han, since you’re here too, what’s our next step? Are we going to the Forged Ancient City?”

“This...”

“I think the Ancient Dragon Corpse here is pretty good. That huge dragon head is facing the active volcano. Do you think it’s suitable as a venue for the Witch Tea Party?”

Seeing Tan Han hesitate, I asked teasingly.

“There?”

Tan Han looked in that direction following my words, a trace of surprise flashing in her eyes.

“A good choice. Then let’s start preparing for the Witch Tea Party.”

“Huh? Wait, you really agreed? Our original plan was...”

“Plans can’t keep up with changes. We also need to adapt. The fact that there’s been no movement from the Forged Ancient City for so long probably means something went wrong. Without a clear landmark, we can’t gather them. It’s better to seize the opportunity and start here. When they learn that the Witch Tea Party ritual has begun, they’ll have a target to head towards, so they won’t be at a loss for what to do next.”

“Ah, this...”

“Besides, there aren’t many places on the map suitable for holding our Witch Tea Party. A landmark location can only be used once. We can’t miss this opportunity.”

“That’s true.”

I shook my head, tacitly agreeing with this statement.

As for this being Dragon Blood Academy’s territory...

What was there to be afraid of?

Is Dragon Blood Academy’s name written here?

No.

Since it’s not, I can do whatever I want.

No one would care even if I held a party here.

If you have an opinion, beat me first, then we’ll talk.

Besides, I’m not alone now, so what’s there to fear?

Wait... hold on, Tan Han doesn’t have a trouble-attracting constitution, right?
