Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 231: Reaching a Cooperation: Overturning the Wizard Tower

”Hehe, I’ve still underestimated you witches’ ability to lie with a straight face.”

Right now, it was impossible to tell if Aqier’s expression was one of sarcasm or a smile.

But it was obvious that the other party was also weighing the pros and cons.

Even if I left right now, what would their Holy Angel Academy have left?

Of course, all the Holy Angel Academy students would still be there, but even so, what could they accomplish?

The previous day had already proven that not much could be done in one day, and once he started to farm points indiscriminately over a large area, he would also become the target of public criticism.

Either everyone would hide from him, or they would unite to fight against them.

This did not conform to the usual style of their Holy Angel Academy.

It could be said that he was already deep in a quagmire, and no matter which way he went, he would end up splattered with mud.

He just hadn’t made up his mind yet whether to break through his inner bottom line and prioritize interests above all else.

After all, the academy he belonged to was one of the Three Great Top-tier Academies.

If he lowered himself to do such a thing and was gossiped about, it would also be a devastating blow to the faith in the Holy Light.

To put it bluntly, the burden was too heavy, and now a single stumble had plunged him into eternal damnation.

”If you don’t believe me, we can sign a contract. You’ve heard of the credibility of the Witch’s Contract, right?”

Although I didn’t know much about things like the Witch’s Contract, the other party was very trusting during that collaboration with the Sea Race.

At least something governed by transcendent power was better than empty words.

In short, as long as there was a possibility, I would give it a try.

At worst, I would just run away, summarize the situation, and go back to Tan Han and the others to plan again.

Why not try harder when there was a way out?

There was no need for any hesitation at this moment.

”The Witch’s Contract… I’ve naturally heard of it. A witch’s contract is the only promise a witch will never break…”

”Good that you’ve heard of it. I just want the Wizard Academy to lose their Wizard Tower, so you can name any other conditions you want.”

”I want all the resources on you that can be taken out. As well as your full cooperation, and you cannot backstab me in any way, directly or indirectly.”

”You! You’re really asking for too much! This is absolutely impossible!”

Hearing the other party’s request, I refused directly.

Was he treating me like a sucker, wanting to be a well-fed ghost before dying?

Why such a big appetite?

”Then there’s nothing to talk about. After all, you’re the one begging me for all this.”

”That statement of yours lacks the premise of cooperation and mutual benefit. Although I proposed this plan, you can’t just slaughter me like a sucker… Don’t you agree? I can give you all the heads from the Wizard Academy, what do you think? At most, I’ll just heavily injure them, and you can come and reap the heads.”

”Do you think that’s possible?”

”Then let’s add the materials that can be taken from their storage equipment. There are so many of them, more than just me alone, right?”

”Those are my spoils of war to begin with. Witch, don’t twist the concept!”

”I contributed too, so naturally, I have a share. Is it not okay for me to give up my share?”

”From beginning to end, there’s not a shred of sincerity in what you’ve said. I only see your hypocritical face and you trying to get something for nothing!”

”You! Doing this means the negotiation is off!”

I watched as the other party’s merciless strike came, and I dodged resentfully.

Why wasn’t this guy thinking in terms of benefits?

If it were the Wizard Academy in this situation, having reached this point, they would definitely drag the Holy Angel Academy down with them, but what did this bird-man do?

He wouldn’t listen to anything.

Was it really that I was offering too little?

But these things should be discussed and negotiated!

Sure enough, it’s troublesome to talk when our thought processes are not on the same level.

Is this the Holy Angel Academy with faith in their hearts?

Anyway, I couldn’t understand it.

After another brief exchange of blows, I confirmed that aqier, with an entire Holy Light Source, was already stronger than me.

If he used this power without any restraint, he would absolutely crush me.

But he didn’t seem to be mentally prepared to fully use this power, because it wasn’t his alone.

He was the team leader, and he needed to consider his teammates.

”Can I really only leave in disgrace?”

Although I was very unwilling, the reality was indeed so.

Even if I used the Fire Rain Domain, I couldn’t get any advantage from him, and it would waste my magic power, while the other party would also consume a large amount of power, but it was still not worth it for me.

”Hmph… You Holy Angel Academy can just wait for your death…”

Just as I was about to make a harsh remark and run, I saw a figure in the distance.

And the figure I had just flown out with made a sharp turn and came back.

aqier, who had just let out a sigh of relief, frowned, ”Weren’t you planning to run? Why are you back again? Still haven’t given up?”

”Of course I haven’t given up! You underestimate my obsession with the Wizard Tower! Also… look who that is?”

At this moment, I changed my previous subservient tone, and my confidence soared.

Facing the peak aqier, I simply pointed behind me.

”That’s… Tan Han!”

At this moment, Aqier really hoped he was mistaken, but that figure became clearer and clearer, and reality told him that there was nothing wrong with his eyes.

”That’s right, so the tables have turned now, haven’t they? What do you think you’ll do if Tan Han and I team up?”

”It hasn’t been long since Tan Han used that spell. She’s just an arrow at the end of its flight right now. What are you expecting?”

”I also used that kind of method not long ago, and aren’t we still fighting back and forth? Stop playing dumb and deceiving yourself. It’s time to make a choice!”

The corners of my mouth curled into a wide smile.

So what if the other party was a Child of Destiny?

Tan Han was here, let their destinies clash directly.

But I had to say, it was great that Tan Han came!

I always thought they would wait for my good news after finishing the tea party, but I didn’t expect them to really come to support me.

This was really touching!

”Are you that confident that Tan Han will also agree to your proposal?”

At this moment, Aqier’s heart wavered again.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t determined, but that the development of events had already exceeded his expectations by too much.

He could no longer turn back.

”Of course Tan Han listens to me.”

”I see… The real leader of the Witch Academy has always been you, right!”

”Wait, how did you come to that conclusion?”

I frowned and looked at Aqier, who had a look of understanding on his face.

What the hell did he understand!

”Wrong guess! I don’t have the talent to be a leader, I’m not even qualified to be a class president, so I’m not the leader. Don’t overcomplicate things.”

”Hehe, there you go again. You witches’ words really can’t be trusted.”

”You guys! You’re the ones who keep saying that our witches’ words can’t be trusted! Where on earth did this rumor come from! My credibility isn’t that bad, is it!”

”Little Han! Be careful, I’m here to support you!”

At this moment, Tan Han’s voice also came from a distance, but looking at the scene, even Tan Han’s expression turned grave, because the opponent’s aura was too terrifying, even comparable to her after using the Ancient Glacial Ice Transformation Spell.

”Tan Han, don’t make a move yet, you don’t really understand the situation.”

I gestured with my hand.

”Mm.”

Tan Han had just seen and heard me arguing with the other party.

She indeed had too many questions at the moment, but she could still distinguish between what was important and what was not.

”Can we have a proper talk now? I won’t make you choose from multiple choices anymore. Let’s discuss it directly. The three of us will overturn the Wizard Tower, what do you say!”

”I don’t think it’s a good idea. Don’t think that just because you have Tan Han on your side, you can make demands as you please.”

”Little Han.”

Even though Tan Han didn’t understand the situation, the atmosphere of the conversation made her feel like a fight could break out at any moment.

”It’s fine. The current Aqier has taken out the Holy Light Source from the floating island. No one can stop him now, but he’s overdrawing his power. Once this power is used up, the Holy Angel Academy will have to withdraw early. Do you understand what I mean?”

I briefly described the current situation to Tan Han.

”No wonder… the opponent’s aura is so powerful, but… this is undoubtedly like drinking poison to quench thirst for the Holy Angel Academy… how could he…”

Tan Han quickly processed the information I gave her and roughly constructed a situation she could understand.

”Don’t ask, you’ll hit a sore spot. Just cooperate with me. Our goal is the same now. If we succeed, we can take down that Wizard Tower of the Wizard Academy with the least cost.”

”Now it depends on whether they are willing to cooperate,” I said with a smile.

Then my gaze shifted back to Aqier.

I naturally didn’t mind stating the plan so plainly.

After all, it was something we were all aware of.

If the other party hadn’t figured it out, it meant their brain wasn’t working well.

Similarly, this was also to express my sincerity and genuineness.

Sincerity is a great weapon, as long as you don’t foolishly use only sincerity.

You should know that sincerity combined with any strategy is a royal flush.

”Now, I and Tan Han, on behalf of the Witch Academy, will sign a contract with your esteemed academy. I wonder if Your Excellency Aqier is interested?”

This time, I used a formal tone and gave him enough face, even cooperating in the name of the academy.

The other party should have no reason to refuse now.

Even if there were reasons, they needed to consider the actual situation and see if they could afford the price of turning against us at this moment.

The recklessness of a dying person was not a universal excuse.

After all, the other party wasn’t ”dead” yet, right?

This final burst of energy would make anyone want to keep a wide berth, wouldn’t it?

But what he was facing now were the two pillars of the Witch Academy’s newcomer combat power.

”I hope you Witch Academy won’t let me down.”

Aqier also sighed at this moment and made his decision.

No matter how the other Holy Angel Academy students looked at him or opposed him now, he had to do this.

At this moment.

Land of Eternal Darkness.

A group of witches saw Tan Han off.

They were not without combat power, it was just that under the shadow of those two sun-like figures, they only appeared mediocre.

But their strength should absolutely not be underestimated.

At least before entering the exchange competition, they received high-consumption spellbooks that the academy transferred to them for various reasons.

If they really unleashed their power, their combat strength would be absolutely terrifying.

It was just that they couldn’t intervene in the previous battle at the level of the super-consumption spellbook.

And now, they needed to clean up the battlefield here, such as the dwarves over there, and the blood pool that needed to be destroyed after the tea party.

They just needed to guard here and wait for the arrival of Big Sis Tan Han and Big Sis Little Han.

After helping them break through the holy relic protection of the dwarves’ war fortress, Big Sis Tan Han began to recover, restoring her magic power, as well as her mental and physical strength.

Tan Han said that she couldn’t just watch Little Han go and raid the base alone; she also needed to provide support.

No one objected to this.

Because Tan Han also told them what Little Han had done during this period.

Going to raid the base, to the home base of the Holy Angel Academy or the Wizard Academy, and she went alone.

But just the fact that she went alone made everyone worry.

So no one objected to Tan Han’s decision, which was why Tan Han arrived so timely.

And now the tea party was over, and the Witch Academy had firmly secured the top spot in the academy rankings.

Even when facing the ritual light pillar that was currently rising, they had a kind of I-don’t-care tycoon mentality.

After all, with the current situation, even if they did nothing, other academies would need to score three consecutive points to surpass the Witch Academy.

Just thinking about it with your knees felt unrealistic.

At this moment, they had something more important to do, which was the war fortress that was in the way here, and those dwarves.

These dwarves came from two academies, the Integrated Dwarf Academy and the Dwarf Forging Academy.

It was truly terrifying that such a large war fortress could be operated by just these dozen or so people.

But at this moment, they had become prisoners of the Witch Academy.

Without their holy relics, they were just dwarves waiting to be slaughtered.

Even if their physical fitness was strong, they would not be a match for casters like witches.

But it was obvious that they also had their own ideas.

The most direct idea was to make this war fortress serve the Witch Academy, but simply threatening the dwarves was of no use.

What’s more, the Witch Academy was the existence that the dwarves hated the most at this moment.

If it weren’t for the Witch Academy, they wouldn’t be in such a sorry state!

But if you really wanted to trace the cause… you could only say that they brought it upon themselves.

And they had a very fatal weakness in the hands of the Witch Academy.

The war fortress was now considered the property of the Witch Academy.

Even if the Witch Academy wouldn’t use it, they would definitely not let the Dwarf Academy take it away.

If the dwarves had a falling out with the Witch Academy at this moment, the Witch Academy might just dismantle the war fortress, which would be a huge loss.

And more importantly, their holy relics had now been confiscated, which meant that if they died and resurrected, the holy relics would not be resurrected with them.

At that time, they would be living targets with no advantages or means, at the mercy of others!

”Have you thought it through? You should be able to distinguish such simple pros and cons, right?”

Minian and a group of young women faced the dwarves without any politeness.

”If you agree, then we’ll have a happy cooperation.”

”If you don’t agree, we’ll kill you all now! I’m really short on points right now.”

”Your holy relics are all still in this storage bag, think it over carefully.”

They took turns provoking their rationality and bottom line, persuading them bit by bit with facts.

After all, if they reached a cooperation, they could also sit on this war fortress and sweep through the other academies.

What a wonderful thing that would be!

From then on, wherever the ritual light pillar lit up on the map, they would run there.

The era of the exchange competition being ruled by the Witch Academy was about to arrive!

On the other side, as the contract burned in the air, the contract signed with three names was formally established.

”Perfect! I told you we had room for cooperation. This way, taking down the Wizard Tower will be a sure thing!”

I said with a smile.

”Little Han, don’t be happy too soon. The Wizard Tower is not that easy to take down.”

Tan Han shook her head and poured cold water on my excitement, but she had personally experienced the methods of the Wizard Academy.

Even if the current Aqier possessed such terrifying power, it wasn’t a 100% sure thing.

The Wizard Tower was very important to wizards, and it was different from the World Tree or the floating island.

It provided various resource supplies for wizards inside, for example, Sorcery Tool materials were the most basic.

For example, if some wizard apprentices’ methods were things like Gu worms and voodoo, the Wizard Tower would provide materials for raising Gu worms, raw materials for making voodoo, and so on.

It could even provide the casting materials needed to cast sorcery.

Similarly, the interior of the Wizard Tower also required professionals to operate it, and the most terrifying thing was naturally the solidified grand sorcery at the top, which used the entire Wizard Tower as a sorcery tool ritual.

Other functions like protective shields were basic.

The most annoying thing was the firepower suppression of the sorcery turrets.

The weapon defense system of the Wizard Tower was really too abnormal.

And this was just the nerfed version of the Wizard Tower applicable to the exchange competition.

From this, one could imagine how terrifying the complete version of the Wizard Tower was.

And not every wizard was qualified to build their own Wizard Tower.

Even in the Wizard Academy, not every transcendent wizard was qualified to build their own Wizard Tower.

This required a huge or even massive amount of resources, as well as deeper needs, and so on.

”Indeed, I have also experienced the power of the Wizard Academy’s Wizard Tower. It should not be underestimated.”

”Wait, what’s with you? Getting weaker after joining us? Are you slacking off? Get it together, Aqier, where’s that energy you had when you were hitting me!”

I looked at the equally serious Aqier and directly switched to complain mode.

”I’m just expressing my opinion, and the power of the Wizard Tower is also an objective fact. We can’t take it for granted. And destroying the Wizard Tower also requires more powerful means, or weapons… a carrier…”

”By the way, that floating island… can it still be saved?”

I asked weakly.

Although the floating island had already smashed into the ground and merged with the earth, I still asked naively.

”No, it can’t.”

Aqier shook his head and said.

”Alright… wait, Aqier, if I give you a greatsword, can you chop down that Wizard Tower?”

”A greatsword? If it’s a weapon, then let’s not even talk about it, right?”

Aqier still shook his head and said.

”I’m talking about the one in the Fallen Land. Tan Han, you’ve seen it, right!”

I looked at Tan Han and said.

”That one? Indeed… it’s big enough.”

”What are you two talking about that I don’t understand? We’re in a cooperative relationship now. If you’re not even willing to share the most basic information and intelligence, I will question the sincerity of this cooperation.”

Aqier frowned.

”It’s hard to explain clearly, let me just show you.”

I got up and distanced myself from them.

Even Tan Han subconsciously moved back, because she had seen that greatsword.

”Is it the sword that was set up in the terrain of the Fallen Land to kill the Abyssal Demon? I’ve only seen it on the map. Do you have a way to transport it over?”

Aqier thought of something and asked tentatively.

”Naturally, it’s just a small trick.”

I said with a confident smile.

At this moment, the teleportation mark on that sword was intact.

After all, it was still quietly stuck at the bottom of the water, and no one would disturb it.

”The moment I saw this greatsword, I was imagining what would happen if this sword was stuck in the Wizard Tower, the World Tree, or… hehe, let’s not mention it…”

Although I didn’t finish my sentence, Aqier knew what I was talking about at this moment: stuck in their floating island.

It was just that there was no chance now.

”Are you ready? The big one is coming!”

I was riding a broom in the sky at this moment.

With a wave of my hand, a teleportation ritual appeared in front of me, and then a chilling sword tip was revealed.

Even though this sword had gone through who knows how much wind and frost, its sharpness was not diminished.

It truly deserved to be the sharp sword that was enough to kill an Abyssal Demon.

The next moment, under its own gravity, the greatsword fell rapidly from the teleportation ritual.

The sound of the blade cutting through the air made a whooshing sound.

Even so, it took a while for the entire appearance of the sword to be completely revealed to Aqier.

It was just stuck there like a spectacle, glinting with a cold light under the sunlight.

Only after getting closer could one see the wind-eroded marks and nicks on the body of the sword from its long exposure to the elements.

At this moment, Aqier was stunned by the greatsword in front of him.

He had not expected that this witch in front of him had such a method.

If this greatsword had been stuck on the floating island at that time… he simply dared not imagine it.

But he quickly came to his senses and also realized the various drawbacks and limitations.

”This sword is indeed magnificent… but even with the blessing of the Holy Light… I can’t use it. You can’t expect me to use it to chop the Wizard Tower, I can’t swing it.”

Aqier said helplessly.

”Then I will summon it from high above, and you will be with me. You will imbue it with the power of the Holy Light. Do you think it can break through the Wizard Tower?”

I asked tentatively.

”It’s worth a try.”

Aqier gave a pertinent answer.
