Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 215: The Cruel Methods of the Fallen Land’s Academies

“Hmm? This… is this red velvet cake? Little Han, you know how to make this?”

“It is the signature of the Bakery Club, after all. I’ve often seen how it’s made, I just don’t know how it tastes. Help me try it.”

After I cut the cake, I served each of them a piece.

“Big Sis Xiao Han, please give me that largest remaining piece!”

Minian immediately said after seeing the piece left after I finished cutting.

“Alright, it’s all yours. I have to make more anyway.”

I looked at Minian, who had just eaten a large bowl of cat food and was now eating so much dessert.

Was she turning this Witch Tea Party into a buffet?

“By the way, Tan Han, you should know the meaning of red velvet in the Bakery Club, right?”

I whispered as I gave it to Tan Han.

“Meaning? I think… I know a little.”

“Then did the Shop Manager say anything to you?”

“She told you too?”

“It seems she told everyone.”

I shrugged and smiled.

The Shop Manager was really generous this time.

“Big Sis Xiao Han, Big Sis Tan Han, what riddle are you two playing at?”

“Nothing, it’s just about the Holy Angel Academy. I agreed to some requests.”

“I’ll make more red velvet cakes later, you all take some with you. It’ll save time for the next ritual. Oh, and if you run into anyone from the Holy Angel Academy, remember to help me throw the red velvet cake in their faces. Just consider it a favor.”

I said with a light laugh.

“Eh? I feel like it’s not that simple. Did the Holy Angel Academy cause you guys any trouble?”

“I’m not too sure, it might be a grudge from the seniors’ generation. If you can smash a red velvet cake in someone’s face, maybe the Shop Manager will give you a discount when you buy desserts at the Bakery Club,” I said jokingly.

However, if the Shop Manager was watching, she might actually give a discount.

After all, a lot of things in the bakery couldn’t be sold.

Speaking of which, did this count as indirectly advertising for the Shop Manager?

But this was a Witch Tea Party, so it was fine to say anything.

After the desserts and tea were served, everyone began to talk about what they had been doing during this time.

I listened with great interest, especially when Minian described their encounter with the wizards and the Truth Ritual at the Wizard Tower, it sounded really thrilling.

Especially the strange methods and terrifying Wizarding Tools of the Wizard Academy.

Even when guarding the Wizard Tower and the Truth Ritual from two sides, they were not afraid at all.

They also figured out the Wizard Tower’s defense methods and attack means, and finally relied on attracting the people from the Holy Angel Academy with designated resources to break their ritual.

“We’re done sharing our experiences, Big Sis Xiao Han, it’s your turn! I want to hear about you setting the forest on fire! You have no idea, even on the other side, we encountered more than one randomly revived elf and Beast Academy person. Big Sis Xiao Han is number one in individual points right now, eh!”

“Alright, it’s my turn. I’ll just talk casually.”

After all, this was a Witch Tea Party, everyone needed to communicate or ask questions.

The people here were all acquaintances now, so I didn’t mind too much.

“After leaving the last Witch Tea Party, I went to the forest of the Beast Academy. There I met the Mengmao Academy’s… Hmm? Do you guys hear something?”

“What sound?”

“It seems there is something. Did another academy attack?”

Minian quickly stood up and looked around in a bit of a panic.

“It seems to be in that direction.”

Tan Han distinguished it a little and locked onto the giant sword directly opposite the mountain of remains.

Below that giant sword was an Abyssal Troll pinned down, which was also a magnificent sight.

“It sounds like a call for help. Why does this voice sound like Lan Baihui?”

“It’s not ‘like’, it is Lan Baihui.”

After Tan Han confirmed it, she went straight there.

“Lan Baihui? Over there? What a conspicuous place. By the way, didn’t you see it when you came?”

“Didn’t you not see it either? Who would have thought someone would be tied to such a huge sword.”

After Tan Han rescued Lan Baihui, everyone gasped in shock.

The current Lan Baihui was almost unrecognizable.

Her school uniform was tattered, and her clothes were stained with filthy blood.

Her limbs were broken, and bones were even exposed from her body.

Although this was in the Dream State, the pain would not be blocked.

Especially the hoarse voice coming from Lan Baihui’s mouth at this moment, it was a miracle that someone could recognize it as Lan Baihui’s voice earlier.

Who would have thought this was Lan Baihui?

They would even think this was a corpse here.

The only words Lan Baihui was repeating at this moment were asking to be killed, to be freed.

“Damn it! They! How dare they! How dare they treat a student of our Witch Academy like this!”

Minian, being the most active one here, couldn’t help but tremble as she spoke upon seeing such a scene.

Everyone present was living a normal life, who had ever encountered such torture?

Even just seeing this scene made their spines chill.

The cross-sections of Lan Baihui’s wounds were not even cuts from a sharp weapon, but from being bitten and gnawed…

“Step aside, I’ll try the Flesh and Blood Healing Spell.”

Unable to bear watching, I also stepped forward and spoke.

After all, this spell was a high-consumption spell, but at this moment, I couldn’t guarantee that such injuries could be healed.

But I felt it was worth a try for the hundreds of magic power points.

“Um… Big Sis Xiao Han, these wounds aren’t cleaned…”

“The effect of the Flesh and Blood Healing Spell will automatically remove foreign objects attached to the wound. Don’t underestimate the power of a high-consumption spellbook.”

I comforted her slightly and started the healing process.

“I’ll help too. Missing limbs require Limb Regeneration. My healing spells are quite complete too,” Tan Han also knelt down and said.

“Mhm.”

I didn’t stop her.

After all, this was indeed not a time for me to be a hero alone.

My spell was indeed for flesh and blood healing, but how to heal missing limbs?

Before long, I couldn’t help anymore.

Lan Baihui’s injuries healed quickly under the spell, and I also cast a Five Senses Weakening spell on her, specifically Pain Weakening, to at least lessen her suffering.

“These academies of the Fallen Land! Necromancer Academy! Imp Academy, Demon Academy! I won’t let a single one of these academies go!”

“Kill any I see!”

“Killing them directly is too easy for them! They did this to Lan Baihui! I want them to experience this pain too!”

“Such academies shouldn’t exist!”

At this moment, I also sat silently in a chair at the tea party.

I was in no mood to make the cake anymore.

The prepared cake base hadn’t been processed yet.

But stimulated by what just happened, the thought that was originally just a casual idea, I really wanted to realize it at this moment.

I opened the Memory Bookshelf.

Among the few books on the shelf, I picked one and opened it.

This was the book that recorded the map of the exchange competition.

Before, because it was just a thought, I hadn’t actually tested its feasibility.

If it was feasible, I wouldn’t mind playing a scene similar to burning the World Tree.

The academies of the Fallen Land played this trick on us.

Did they ambush our Witch Academy thinking that everyone’s strength was the same as Lan Baihui’s, which was why they were so confident.

But they touched our bottom line, so I will dig up their roots.

The Fallen Land was the foundation of these academies.

The Necromancer Academy needed the skeletons here to control the undead.

This place was set as the abyss, but the place leading to the lower level was blocked by a troll.

However, the dissipated demonic power was an excellent source of power for them.

Whether it was the Fallen Academy, the Undead Academy, or the Succubus Academy, the natural terrain here was better than any recovery potion.

If this map was a continent, then my idea would naturally be a pipe dream.

But this was the exchange competition map, and the sense of separation between each region was very strong, which meant that the distance between regions was shortened.

I looked at the map that appeared at this moment, calculating the distance between the Fallen Land and the sea.

“Big Sis Xiao Han, what are you doing? Wait, Big Sis Xiao Han, where did you get the map?”

“A spell effect.”

I said calmly, holding the pen from the Memory Bookshelf, “Do you think the Sea Race has the ability to cause a tsunami?”

“The rules state that the exchange competition map will be eroded by the Central Ancient Battlefield and seawater. The ancient battlefield relies on batches of Phantoms of the Past, each stronger than the last, to conquer, while the seawater erosion is not clearly explained. So, a reasonable deduction would be that either the sea level is rising slowly, or…”

“The ocean is submerging the land. Maybe it’s a hidden rule of the Sea Race’s ritual.”

“Big Sis Xiao Han, why are you asking this now? Could it be… oh!”

“Don’t you think from the map, the Fallen Land and the sea are a bit close?”

I drew a line connecting the Fallen Land and the coastline.

Although the side of the Fallen Land near the sea had a large half of high-terrain mountains, it was not all of it.

The rift of the abyss extended here, feeling as if it had split this place open.

It was as if it was welcoming the backflow of seawater.

It seemed that when this terrain was designed, the Witch Academy’s hint was too obvious.

By the way, did any of the witch teachers who designed the terrain think of this?

“Lan Baihui, are you feeling better?”

At this moment, Tan Han had also used all the methods she knew, and Lan Baihui was now a completely different person.

If it weren’t for the traces on her clothes, who would have thought that she had just experienced inhuman treatment not long ago.

“I… am I finally dead…”

“It’s okay, it’s all over. It will be okay.”

Tan Han hugged Lan Baihui and comforted her.

After all, she had just experienced such torture, and Lan Baihui was just a girl who had only been in contact with the transcendent for a short time.

How could she have been treated like this?

At this moment, outside.

After witnessing the good deeds of those academies in the Fallen Land, everyone was filled with righteous indignation.

Even Aphrodite and the Holy Angel Academy, who should have felt avenged, were ashamed of the methods of those academies in the Fallen Land.

What kind of normal academy was this!

The seniors of the Witch Academy were already shouting angrily to disqualify those academies from the competition, but this action did not violate the rules, and the Witch Academy could not show too obvious favoritism.

At most when the students of the Witch Academy were beating up the Necromancer Academy or the Fallen Academy in the audience, the referee teachers would just symbolically stop them.

“This is too much, this is really too much. Our Witch Academy has never been so humiliated.”

But even the teachers of the Witch Academy were emotional.

They had witnessed this process with their own eyes through the live broadcast.

This was aimed at the Witch Academy!

It was a slap in the face of the Witch Academy!

“You are a Transcendent Witch after all, be quiet. After being stimulated like this, those little ones will also know what they are facing.”

“If they are not prepared to face this after entering a Transcendent Academy, then they are also unqualified. They also represent the perception of the new generation of the Witch Academy. This is a good thing, it’s better than being skinned and boned in reality.”

“Indeed, that little one who boasted of burning the World Tree, isn’t she brewing something bigger?”

“Flooding the Fallen Land? She really dares to think, but it’s not impossible. Who designed this map? She’s really a genius.”

“I heard it was designed under Lina’s supervision. If the Sea Race were a bit more competitive, completed the ritual, and achieved the hidden rule of sea erosion, they could have completely flooded that place with the tsunami opportunity they obtained.”

“After all, the Abyssal Troll is our common enemy, but it’s a pity we can’t tell them this openly.”

At this moment.

Lan Baihui was much better after everyone’s comfort.

After all, her physical injuries had healed, but she still had some stress reactions mentally.

It seemed that until after the competition, Lan Baihui might need to seek psychological counseling.

And I also briefly told Tan Han and the others about my idea.

But this idea was still too wishful.

Although the terrain supported this practice, where would the tsunami come from?

How to flood it?

How would the Sea Race listen to us?

How could we be sure that the Sea Race had the ability to create a tsunami?

Was it worth helping the Sea Race complete the ritual just to vent our anger?

After completing the ritual, what if the other party completed the hidden rule but it didn’t meet our expectations?

Many questions came one after another, which required us to make our own trade-offs.

“I’ll go negotiate with the Sea Race. I’ll leave the ritual here to you.”

“Wait, Big Sis Xiao Han, didn’t you say that you and the Sea Race have already…”

“Then let’s imitate the Fallen Land and force them to complete the ritual. The location of the Sea Race’s ritual is not like our Witch Academy’s. We can ask about the remaining matters slowly.”

“Wouldn’t that be a bad idea?”

“I’m not one of those guys from the Fallen Land. I have my own bottom line. Also, excessive sympathy will get you killed,” I said.

“Why don’t you guys frost those half-finished cakes yourselves and take them with you? Maybe you’ll use them in the next ritual.”

“Also, I almost forgot something very important.”

Just as I was about to leave, I thought of something.

“What is it?”

“I have a spell, Teleportation Summoning Spell. I’ve tested it and it can teleport people. That is to say, after I mark you, when I use this spell, I can summon all of you to my side.”

“Eh? Eh! Big Sis Xiao Han, you have such a divine skill! Me, me, me! Give me one quickly! Big Sis Xiao Han, if you’re going to do something big again, summon me over, I want to be there too!”

Minian immediately raised her hand and said after hearing this.

“This mark is a bit fragile, it will also disappear after death. Everyone… be careful. Tan Han, do you want one?”

“Of course. The application of this spell is very interesting. With this, our speed of holding rituals will be the fastest among all academies.”

“I thought so too, but calling for help when you can’t win is also very fast,” I said with a smile.

“If even you can’t win, then probably pulling all of us over would just be cannon fodder, right?”

Tan Han said jokingly.

“How could that be? Sometimes, numbers are justice. I’m leaving now, I’ll entrust the tea party to you.”

I took my tea party invitation and left directly on my broom.

Of course, before that, I also marked all of them and tried it out to make sure there was no problem before I left.

The distance from here to the Sea Race was not far.

The problem was finding the Sea Race students after reaching the sea area, and it was even more difficult to get the information I wanted from them.

After a while, I arrived at the sea area, but this time I didn’t encounter anyone from the Sea Race.

After all, the sea area was huge, but the academy had a total of thirty people, plus the two I sent away.

It was a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

Why not make some noise to attract their attention?

I recalled my unfinished “Resonance.”

This modding technique was applicable to most basic evocation spellbooks, just like “Floating,” but before, I had only tried the Rock Collapse Spell, which was the earth element.

What if it resonated with the water element?

The sea area had the most seawater, and it was also the place where the water element was most abundant.

Resonating with the water element here was much simpler than resonating with earth.

And I only had one water element spell, “Water Surge.”

Generally, I used it to condense water elements into a water column to cause high-pressure spray damage.

Don’t underestimate the damage of water.

After all, there was a kind of blade called a Water Jet Cutter.

As long as the pressure was high enough, what wasn’t powerful?

At this moment, I stretched out my hand and cast the Water Surge spell.

When the Water Surge spell no longer applied pressure, the flowing water had no damage.

“Resonance… just like the rock resonance back then…”

I fumbled with the resonance technique.

During this period, I also cast the Flexible Learning and Application Spell on myself.

With the buff of this spell, my progress was much faster.

But it seemed that it was still not enough.

I was constantly applying the hint of Unity of Knowledge and Action.

“Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Water!”

I raised my head, thinking about what else could help me.

Reviewing all my spellbooks, I almost forgot about the Protection of the Elemental Spirit.

This spell was a random summon, but after my modding, I could specify it.

I almost used it as the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Fire out of habit.

With the Protection of the Elemental Spirit of Water, my affinity for the water element increased by a large margin, and the water elemental spirit also gave me the power to control the water element, just like the fire elemental spirit provided me with the power to control flames.

“Seawater resonates with me!”

I shouted lowly, and the surrounding seawater began to churn under the protection of the water elemental spirit.

Coupled with the resonance of the evocation spell Water Surge, which I completely controlled, this surge of seawater centered on me rippled outwards with astonishing waves.

At one moment, I even thought I could control the ocean, one wave of seawater resonance after another, one layer of waves on top of another.

Being in the very center, it was easy for me to have such an illusion.

But when I was about to exert my strength, I found that I was still so powerless in the end.

I was not one of the Sea Race with the talent of tidal protection.

I only had the power provided by simple resonance and the protection of the water elemental spirit.

Although I couldn’t create a tsunami, my actions just now were still very terrifying.

In a way, this could also be considered a mini-tsunami.

The waves I pushed went towards the shore, devouring the coast and green plants, but this level of seawater was not enough to affect the coast, let alone flood the Fallen Land.

However, this mastered technique was not a bad terrifying method.

It also gave me a deeper understanding and practice of “Resonance.”

I wonder if it’s possible if I team up with the Sea Race.

“The source has been found, it’s that witch again!”

“That witch she, she’s coming towards me! Ah!”
