Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 233: The Wizard Academy’s Forbidden Troll Transformation Grand Sorcery

The attacks from the sorcery turret passed through the shield supported by the Wizard Tower, constantly forcing me to leave this area of the Wizard Tower.

Compared to those strange and unpredictable sorcery effects and curse effects, I was more concerned about the shield propped up by the Wizard Tower.

Rather than calling it a shield, it was more like a one-way barrier.

A shield intended for protection would inevitably interfere with attacks, which meant that the one being protected would also be interfered with by their own protective spell.

So shields generally had many ways to circumvent this limitation, such as non-omnidirectional protective spells that could leave a hand free for casting; or triggered shields, which would immediately provide protection upon being touched by an attack from a specific direction.

And the Energy Shield and Shield Protection I used were basically based on a similar principle to the second type.

And now I had witnessed a third type, one-way protection.

The attack recognition involved in this must be very high-end.

Perhaps it was because I had previously felt that my own protective measures were lacking, but now I was paying extra attention to various protective methods.

Could you imagine keeping the enemy out while still being able to hit them?

It was simply a dream technique for a spellcaster.

Unfortunately, now was not the time to study such a technique, but I had to marvel at how the strange and wonderful methods of wizards could bring about effects even more magical than spellbooks.

I wondered if there was such a spellbook in the Witch Academy.

If there was, I would want to get one too.

Even if it was just a Standard Consumption Spellbook, I would find a way to modify it to be very strong.

It couldn’t be helped; the foundation of this form of protective spell was just that good, worthy of my effort.

But at this moment, I couldn’t keep paying attention to these irrelevant things.

“Now let me see just how tough your Wizard Tower’s shield is!”

When I reached the location of their shield, the wizard apprentice in charge was also sweating profusely.

There was only one opponent, and their use of such large-scale suppressive fire was not very effective and extremely wasteful.

The main purpose of the Wizard Tower was to deal with situations of being besieged by many people; that was what the Wizard Tower was best at handling.

“You alone want to break the shield? Delusional!”

Although these wizard apprentices spoke so lightly, their hands did not stop moving.

Any sorcery that could attack was sent my way.

And I was not polite either, directly hitting the shield with the newly mastered Focused Fireball.

Instantly, a huge impact rippled across this massive shield.

Through the ripples of the fluctuating shield energy, I could see the shocked expressions in their eyes.

But only I knew that the last blow had not caused any devastating damage to the shield.

The shield relied on its enormous volume to distribute the concentrated damage, dissipating it in circles of energy.

“Tsk… I thought it was some amazing technique, but you still can’t break the shield?”

“Are you really thinking that?”

I smiled and looked at them.

If they only looked at the surface of that last blow and not the meaning behind it, then I could only say that I had overestimated the people from the Wizard Academy.

They were even worse than the students of Holy Angel Academy and Aphrodite Academy.

I didn’t see a single quality in them that a top student from a top-tier academy should have.

Just now, a single blow had achieved such an effect.

So, I ask you, if I used the dual technique of ”Floating” + ”Focus,” how would you deal with that?

Although I had never tried it, it didn’t mean I couldn’t do it.

I just needed time.

This also meant that even without Tan Han, I could break this shield given time.

Yet these wizard apprentices were still laughing at me for being unable to break their shield with one spell.

I should be the one laughing; there are always ignorant people who inadvertently hit my funny bone.

I finally understood how Tan Han managed to break the shield by joining forces with so many people back then, even without using a Super Consumption Spellbook.

It was simple: it would break once it reached its tolerance limit.

Very simple and unadorned.

In this light, I had still overestimated them.

Indeed, the more you hear from others, the more mysterious it sounds.

Only by trying it yourself do you know how truly pathetic the enemy is.

So, my original flamboyant plan for a strong assault was modified; it really became me making the strong assault.

Anyway, Tan Han would look for the right moment to launch a surprise attack.

What was important was the timing.

Who said that acting like this wouldn’t create the opportunity Tan Han needed?

So I didn’t hesitate, directly using both the Flexible Learning and Application Spell and the Unity of Knowledge and Action Spell, entering the ”combat insight” state.

“Keep attacking her! The rest of you, check the surroundings for any other ambushes!”

As Lu Si’en’s order was given, the few remaining wizard apprentices also began to act.

But what they thought would be a moment of relief became the beginning of their terror.

I was no longer limited to dodging under suppressive fire on the ground.

Instead, I rode my broom directly for multi-angle evasion, adding some pressure on them.

At the same time, I was also looking for the best point to break their shield.

With the appearance of my several floating evocation spells, the so-called suppressive fire showed a trend of reversal at this moment.

With my continuous attempts, the application of floating plus focus was also becoming more and more mature.

The so-called floating cannons were about to truly become laser floating cannons.

“Idiots, hurry up and stop her! Her techniques are getting stronger and stronger! If the opponent’s attacks continue to increase like this, they will get closer and closer to the barrier’s defense critical value!”

“What do you think this is, a monster-grinding level-up game? This is an exchange competition, why should she be able to keep powering up like this?”

“But the fact is her attack power is steadily increasing. Are you questioning me?”

“I’m not questioning you. I have a more direct view of the shield’s situation than you.”

“Then I’ll just deactivate the shield and use the Atypical Lightning Grand Sorcery.”

“Are you crazy? That grand sorcery has limited uses. Don’t you think it’s a waste on this one person? Besides, that technique is more for deterrence than actual combat. What if she has a way to counter it…”

Lu Si’en questioned the exchange wizard in a low voice.

Even though he was very angry, he subconsciously knew that such matters could not be revealed, so he lowered his voice.

“Then I’ll drop the shield and you can fight her directly? You need to understand that actively deactivating the Wizard Tower’s barrier and having it passively broken are two different concepts. Last time it was passively broken, the tower’s barrier generator was damaged, you understand what that means! This time, even a single little witch can shake our barrier!”

At this moment, the team leader Lu Si’en below had already started arguing with the frantic wizard apprentice inside the Wizard Tower.

Although Lu Si’en, as the team leader, didn’t have much say, it was a time of facing the enemy, and both sides were very restrained.

“No, it’s too unconventional for this witch to have come here. If the shield barrier is dropped, can you guarantee no one else will ambush us!”

Lu Si’en still firmly refused to agree to deactivate the barrier.

“The Detection Sorcery Tool shows no suspicious moving heat sources nearby. The detection range is sufficient. Even if an enemy really ambushes us, we have enough reserved time to preheat and reactivate the barrier.”

“Moving heat sources… moving heat sources! Is that thing reliable! You’re betting our lives on it, do you know the consequences of a mistake! The witch before you… she just took down those birdmen’s flying floating island! And she still hasn’t used that terrifying technique from before, do you understand!”

“Then she should be a spent force right now, her stamina and magic power greatly depleted. Even recovery potions aren’t omnipotent. If you can’t even handle a witch like this, you will lose everything you have at the Wizard Academy after this exchange competition ends.”

Hearing such a sentence, Lu Si’en had no doubt about the truthfulness of what the other party said.

Even if he returned with everything as a foregone conclusion, and the Wizard Academy didn’t evaluate his performance in the exchange competition, this guy’s mentor definitely had the power to get him killed... the Wizard Academy was just such a cruel place.

He had witnessed this dark side of the Wizard Academy, so he understood even better that he had no choice now.

“I also prepared a Sorcery Potion for you in the Wizard Tower. If you really can’t fight her, use this. Don’t be afraid, this is the witches’ Dream State, you’ll be fine.”

“You said so much just for this?”

Lu Si’en returned to the Wizard Tower and found the so-called Sorcery Potion, but after a powerless question came his silence.

This was one of the casting materials for the Forbidden Troll Transformation Grand Sorcery, used in conjunction with a forbidden sorcery.

And more crucially, the transformation of this method was “irreversible,” and one would continuously lose their sanity in the process, because at this moment, an apprentice’s mental power and willpower could not withstand the rush of power from the “troll” transformation.

But before he lost consciousness, his combat power would undoubtedly have a huge increase.

Lu Si’en took the Sorcery Potion and comforted himself, it’s fine, I’ll just commit suicide at the last moment... after suicide, everything will go back, it’s just losing one life.

The score was no longer important to him at this moment.

What was important was his attitude.

He had to show that it wasn’t his incompetence that led to the current consequences.

He wanted to minimize the academy’s negative evaluation of him.

He had even used such a method; it could indeed be considered “doing his best.”

Then, he resolutely left.

At this moment, my spell attacks were becoming more and more fierce, and I could also see that this shield was about to fail.

Tan Han, who was observing from a distance, felt the same.

She needed a suitable opportunity to break the Wizard Tower’s shield, but now it seemed that her intervention was not needed.

Similarly, Tan Han also noticed that this shield was somewhat different compared to the last time she encountered it, and she had some deductions in her mind, but it was irrelevant for now.

After this, the Wizard Tower would be toppled.

It no longer mattered that their barrier’s protective strength would decrease after being shattered the next time it was used.

“Witch! You should be proud for pushing me to this point!”

At this moment, a sentence from that wizard team leader suddenly attracted my attention.

Although I didn’t know why he suddenly ran back and was now talking tough, I roughly knew that the other party was about to use a big move.

“Let me be the one to end your myth of invincibility!”

Lu Si’en shouted in a low voice, downed the Sorcery Potion in one go, and then began to digest the potion with the help of sorcery, completing the so-called forbidden troll transformation.

“This is…”

At this moment, I was looking at the unknown thing the other party had consumed.

I didn’t know what it was, I only knew that a force was rampaging in his body.

Then, his body underwent a grotesque change visible to the naked eye.

His muscles writhed as if they were mutating, as if countless demons were about to burst out of his body.

To use the words of those from Holy Angel, a “filthy” power was running wild inside his body.

More critically, despite this mutation, this wizard was still alive!

At this moment, I had a new understanding of the vitality of wizards.

But I didn’t understand the mutation of this guy at this moment.

In just a short while, the other party’s body had expanded to several meters in height, and the Wizard Academy uniform on his body was now torn apart by his huge figure.

“This is the taboo of sorcery’s power. Come and feel the power of a troll!”

Lu Si’en’s voice had become deep and frantic, without the rational yet crazy appearance of a wizard before.

At this moment, I felt he was more suited to enroll in the Fallen Academy or the Imp Academy.

Sorcery… could it achieve this extent?

It was a bit like a transformation spell, but the other party’s method was probably irreversible, because this was not a simple spell effect, but a method that directly acted on the body.

Then, under my astonished gaze, I watched him charge towards me.

What astonished me was not that he was charging towards me like this, but the shield barrier that was suddenly deactivated at this moment!

Well now, this saved me the effort.

Tan Han really didn’t need to show up.

The next moment, I directly rode my broom and flew into the air to evade.

I looked down at the clumsy big guy below, just about to enjoy his frantic look of being unable to reach me, when he crouched down to gather power and leaped up violently.

The height, like flying, made my pupils quake, and his direction was right at my position.

“Wh…”

I was so shocked that I subconsciously let out a sound of disbelief.

This high in the air, you leaped up?

What kind of terrifying physical quality is this?

The happy mood from the shield’s disappearance completely vanished at this moment.

But I also made an emergency response.

The explosive fireball only caused a small wound and some impact, but the next moment, the wound on the other party’s body healed just like that.

Seeing this, I subconsciously swallowed.

Why is everyone so fierce these days… they all like to power up, right?

Even the floating spell, which was aimed at the shield, was now like “scraping” him when used for suppression.

His terrifying healing ability was his most terrifying defense.

The flesh and blood blown open by the spell attacks were remolded like plasticine.

At this moment, “flesh and blood” no longer seemed to be so-called muscle cells and blood that transport nutrients, but more like “consumables” for repairing the body.

It broke the most basic common sense of biology, interpreting life as a monster sculpted from flesh and blood.

Even I found it troublesome.

This was a completely different pressure from what Aqier, that Holy Angel, had brought me.

The former was an oppressively huge source of Holy Light, a suppression on the level of absolute power, while this was a suppression of physical recovery ability, a monster of infinitely regenerating flesh.

Just thinking about it was chilling.

And currently, through Spirit Vision, I still haven’t found a core similar to the one for dispelling transformation spells.

Perhaps it’s because I don’t understand so-called sorcery, or perhaps this has completely transcended the level of a spell effect, otherwise he wouldn’t have called it a “taboo.”

“This is power! Witch, keep acting arrogant! Where’s your previous composure? I see fear on your face! All of you witches must die!”

“The ones who must die are you…”

At this moment, I calmed down instead.

Facing this guy who could only be described as a monster now, I was unmoved.

It’s not that I don’t have a way to deal with this guy, but the price to pay is a bit high.

This has already surpassed the level that a “High Consumption Spellbook” can handle, so it requires a more powerful spell.

Fire Rain Domain.

With the help of Fire Rain Domain, I can suppress him with firepower from all directions.

Coupled with fire element resonance, at this moment it can no longer be called suppression; at that time, it would be called cremation.

Since you’re so good at regenerating, then burn to ashes and let me see you regenerate.

After all, having reached this level, physical annihilation is actually no longer achievable.

The reason for using the Fire Rain Domain spell is because I need a massive amount of energy to counteract and neutralize the burgeoning transcendent power in his body.

It is that power that gives him this terrifying combat strength.

It’s unknown when he will exhaust it, so the best method is to neutralize it for him.

But now, it seems it’s no longer necessary.

I looked at the single snowflake that had drifted down and been caught on my finger…

The next moment, a massive figure appeared in the sky.

She held a terrifying ice spear, bringing with it countless ice cones, and directly pierced through Lu Si’en’s massive body.

An extreme cold carrying the terrifying aura of Ancient Glacial Ice instantly turned this place by the Wizard Tower into a land of descending ice and snow.

And the troll that Lu Si’en had transformed into was pierced through the torso by this blow, its massive body instantly frozen by the glacial ice.

Even so, one could see the shocked and frantic movements and expression of the frozen Lu Si’en.

“You came just in time, let’s break the Wizard Tower together!”

I shouted loudly to Tan Han, and also gave her a gesture of good cooperation.

Of course, this shout was also for those wizard apprentices to hear.
