Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 221: Flooding the Fallen Land

Time passed bit by bit, and during this period in the latter half of the night, I could still see the ritual light pillars in the night sky.

Every time I saw them light up, I had the urge to go over and destroy them.

But in the end, I still didn’t go.

After all, I couldn’t just leave them, could I?

And I discovered that even if some academies secretly prepared rituals at night, other academies would secretly go and sabotage them, which was very interesting.

So I compared it with the map and speculated with Shi Huiyu and the others which academy was holding the ritual.

And after I took over in the second half of the night, I also deliberately looked at the leaderboard.

At this moment, the academy leaderboard was no longer a monotonous list of scores from the Witch Academy and the Sea Race.

According to the ranking order, you could see the sequence of their scoring in the first half of the night.

First was... hmm?

Integrated Dwarf Academy?

Seeing this academy, I was also stunned for a moment.

After all, the presence of their dwarves was too low.

Originally, at the beginning, our Witch Academy had said we would hold a Witch Tea Party at the Forged Ancient City, but it was shelved for various reasons.

The Dwarf Academy was protected within the Forged Ancient City.

If they could hold a ritual, it meant only one thing, which was that the Forged Ancient City Ruins had been breached.

Because of the protective nature of the Forged Ancient City, it provided the dwarves with a relatively safe environment, but it also restricted the holding of rituals.

It seems the Dwarf Academy had been gathering strength for the entire day and made a big move at night.

Next was the Holy Angel Academy’s score.

Without the interference of the Witch Academy, the Three Great Top-tier Academies also displayed their formidable strength.

Following that was the Wizard Academy.

Completing their truth ritual could be considered as avenging their previous shame.

Only Aphrodite Academy still had zero points.

In the second half of the night, I also saw Aphrodite Academy holding a ritual.

This showed that they had struggled, but in the end, it still came to nothing.

I hope their World Tree is still alright.

“Sigh... How long are they going to sleep? Not to be mean, but Tan Han’s sleeping face is really pretty... Hedi’s too...”

“Hmm? Let them sleep a little longer.”

I almost forgot that Shi Huiyu was a yuri.

Her saying whose sleeping face was pretty probably wasn’t just a simple compliment.

I watched the ritual at the distant Aphrodite World Tree light up for a while.

If those elves could seize this opportunity, then they could be considered to have barely saved some face for their Three Great Top-tier Academies.

But Aphrodite Academy also had to admit a problem, which was that once they obtained a score, besides Aphrodite Academy’s affiliated elf academies, other academies would also have the idea of getting their own scores.

After all, they had helped Aphrodite Academy for so long and sacrificed so much.

I just want to get a score, I don’t even necessarily need your help, is that not okay?

This was indeed a problem worth paying attention to for Aphrodite Academy.

As the only one of the Three Great Top-tier Academies to bring affiliated academies to this exchange competition, Aphrodite Academy showed the most disappointing performance.

It had to be said that at this moment, Aphrodite Academy had already become something of a laughingstock.

But the elves also had to admit the flaws in their power system.

Even though their race was a Transcendent Race, their power system also had its pros and cons, especially in the initial stages.

The elves of Aphrodite Academy were baptized through the Aphrodite branch of the World Tree and then reborn into this world as Forest Elves.

They generated pure natural power within their bodies, acquired talent skills like archery specialization through postnatal awakening, and then learned elf magic, etc.

This was a slow process, and the self-generation of natural power could not be rushed either.

This was unlike the Wizard Academy, where they directly awakened their mental power to come into contact with wizardry, controlled basic wizard power to use wizard tools.

As long as they understood and learned certain knowledge and grasped the principle of equivalent exchange, they could achieve many strange feats through wizard tools.

Although saying this is a bit rough, the upper limit for wizards to gain power in the early stages was very high.

People with good talent and flexible minds could advance by leaps and bounds in a very short period of time.

Holy Angel was even more abnormal.

Just the so-called Angel Halo, although it was said to be the core of their power, was essentially borrowed.

The power of angels was divided into classes, meaning it had a source.

This was even more extreme than the situation of witches having a Magic Power Source; even Divine Arts could be bestowed.

And the price was that they couldn’t wantonly squander their power, and using Divine Arts required complex processes like prayer rituals.

But you couldn’t deny the opponent’s strength just because of this.

This was especially true when the Holy Angels had their exclusive floating island.

But precisely because the relationship between their power and its source was so close, if Aphrodite Academy lost the World Tree, they would only lose the opportunity for rituals.

But if the Holy Angels lost their power source, which was the floating island, then they might as well just withdraw from the competition.

Without their power source, their Angel Halos would slowly dissipate the power of the Holy Light until they shattered, their wings would be unable to use Divine Arts to fly, and even the Divine Arts would not respond to their prayers, directly turning them into flightless bird people.

“That... Big Sis Xiao Han, the ritual you’ve been watching is from Aphrodite Academy, right?”

“Yeah.”

I nodded.

Tan Han had said before that the ritual light pillar would change somewhat depending on the preparation progress.

I hadn’t paid attention before, but thinking back and observing now, there was indeed a difference.

This point was even more obvious from the perspective of Spirit Vision.

“Mmm... what time is it...”

“You’re awake? I was thinking of waking you all up after that ritual ended.”

I turned around and smiled at Tan Han.

Following Tan Han’s movement, the other few also stirred a little.

Maybe they hadn’t slept well.

For example, Minian changed her position and went back to sleep.

“What’s the situation now? No academy should have caught up to us last night, right?”

Tan Han asked with concern.

“No one has caught up. It just depends on how Aphrodite Academy does.”

I turned again to look at that most conspicuous ritual.

“I thought with your personality, you would have rushed over to harass them a bit.”

“But I can’t just leave you guys, right? Even if you’re awake now, it’s a bit late for me to go over.”

“But that doesn’t mean it can’t be stopped, right?”

“Yes, but I can’t be bothered to go. By the way, when are we making our move?”

I asked, dodging the important point.

“We can go now. Do you want to go now?”

“Now... we could indeed catch them off guard, but wouldn’t just flooding the Fallen Land be too monotonous? Why not attract some guys from other academies over?”

“It seems you’re eager for the world to be in chaos, but this is difficult. The Fallen Land is quite special, and we don’t have any means to attract them here.”

Whether it was kidnapping someone from their side to hold a ritual here, or using designated materials to attract people, neither could attract a large number of people from other academies.

Although many academies participated in the exchange competition, they were ultimately divided into several groups.

The Beast Academy probably wouldn’t get involved with the Fallen Land, and the elves still had to defend their World Tree to the death.

Even if the wizards, angels, and dragon bloods came over, it would be meaningless since they could fly.

As the ritual at Aphrodite Academy sublimated and the other rituals shattered, this was the closest Aphrodite Academy had come to success.

And in the end, as expected, they took this point.

“Looks like another one has scored. After working so hard all night, they’re about to enter a period of mental fatigue.”

“Yeah.”

I nodded in agreement.

Even with Refreshing Potions, they probably couldn’t hold on for much longer, and the effect of the potions wasn’t as good as the ones sold by the academy.

“But we also need to pay attention to the hidden rules triggered after they complete the ritual. Hidden rules aren’t just about giving rewards, the Sea Race has already confirmed this.”

“Indeed, then we should also get moving.”

Tan Han and I gave a reminder.

The remaining few were actually awake, except for that Minian who was still lazing in bed, even though it wasn’t comfortable sleeping here.

Last night she even said she could keep watch because she sleeps late, but it turns out she can’t get up in the morning?

But in the end, she was woken up by Tan Han, who used a little trick that startled her awake.

I felt that jolt would keep her awake for a long time.

“Time to get moving. You all should leave here first.”

“Then where do we meet?”

“Let’s go to the Blood Clan’s Land of Eternal Darkness. At least there’s a Blood Pool there as a fallback, and we can hold a tea party,” I suggested.

“Go to the Blood Clan’s place? The Blood Clan’s strength actually isn’t to be underestimated, but the Land of Eternal Darkness is adjacent to the Fallen Land, so it might be affected by the tsunami.”

“Then is the plan temporarily set for there?”

“I think it’s okay. I wonder if we can hold another tea party in the Fallen Land after it’s flooded. After all, in a way, this could be considered a map refresh, right?”

“There probably won’t be such a good thing, and there’s no place to hold a tea party in the flooded Fallen Land.”

After some discussion, we decided for the seven of us to move in three groups.

First, I would go alone with the Sea’s Marvelous Crown to carry out the plan of flooding the Fallen Land.

After all, besides me who possesses the crown, no one else could do this.

They could only retreat to the Land of Eternal Darkness to check the situation.

The Land of Eternal Darkness was very active last night.

I saw rituals light up more than once.

Maybe they thought the night was their home ground, but sadly, they didn’t succeed in holding a single ritual all night.

I don’t know which kind-hearted academy stopped them, but it was a beautiful job.

Since they were very active at night, the morning would be when they were most lethargic.

So, the other team, led by Tan Han, would go over to check.

If the opponent’s strength was lacking, they would annihilate them directly and hold a tea party when the time was right.

And the other team only had Minian.

It could be said that besides me and Tan Han, she was the best at riding a broom.

So she was responsible for creating distance to obtain the tea party invitation and avoiding combat.

Because the Teleportation Summoning Spell had been marked on her, as the only person who had experienced teleportation, she volunteered to take on the important task of ensuring the ritual’s successful completion.

And I would rush to support Tan Han and the others as soon as I finished with the tsunami.

After all, the Land of Eternal Darkness was the Blood Clan’s lair.

There was also a whole Blood Slave Pasture there.

Don’t think that Blood Slaves were just guys who provided blood for the Blood Clan; they had combat power too.

After all, if they only raised Blood Slaves without combat power, then the Blood Slave Academy would have no reason to exist.

Otherwise, it might as well just become a pasture for the Blood Clan Academy.

The plan was all set, no beating around the bush, everything was simple and clear.

I even deliberately told Minian to find a safe place to hide after getting some distance, and if all else failed, to find a hole and bury herself.

After all, a living person flying around on a broom in the sky was really too conspicuous, especially when reaching the forest.

Who knows if some lurker would ambush you.

After explaining everything, I headed directly towards the sea.

It wasn’t far from the sea.

After arriving, I took out the Sea’s Marvelous Crown and put it on my head.

After putting on this crown, I felt a wonderful sensation, as if I had received the ocean’s blessing.

A piece of information also drilled into my mind with the enhancement of this power.

It was an introduction and explanation on how to use the power of the Sea’s Marvelous Crown.

This method of explanation was much more thoughtful than the format of the Witch Tea Party.

I put away my flying broom and plunged straight into the sea.

After entering the seawater, I felt as if every current was cheering for me.

With a single thought, I could be pushed to any place at the bottom of the water.

This feeling was just like when I used the Protection of the Elemental Spirit.

It seemed the protection could also move unhindered in the seawater, and under the protection, my clothes wouldn’t even get wet.

“This must be the place...”

I felt the seawater supporting my body, as gentle as a child of the sea.

Being at the bottom of the sea, facing the surface, there wasn’t a trace of pressure from being underwater.

And at this moment, I released the power of the crown.

Instantly, the pearls entwined on the golden branches of the crown began to release their power.

And I could clearly feel this power churning.

And I don’t know if it was an illusion, but I always felt that this method of use seemed like a spellbook!

It felt like using a single-use consumable spellbook.

I didn’t even need to provide energy for it to start accumulating power.

But my connection with the crown was similar to the relationship I had with the domain when I used the Fire Rain Domain Spellbook yesterday.

The power to cause a tsunami was accumulating.

This feeling of my entire being controlling the tsunami was just like when I controlled the Fire Rain Domain before.

I could control the tsunami, but I couldn’t control it with precision.

“So that’s how it is... this kind of form...”

I looked at the power bursting from the crown at this moment.

The tide turned into azure ribbons surrounding me, like the most loyal guards.

And the sea surface, which had been slightly calm before, now became oppressive.

The great waves seemed to still be accumulating.

If someone was on the coast, they could see the seawater receding with their naked eyes.

That was the sign of a tsunami.

The receding seawater would stir up huge waves in the deeper parts of the ocean, and they would stack up layer upon layer crazily.

And I stood at the peak of the tsunami, surrounded by seawater.

The crown floated above my head, enhanced by the seawater.

Water elements condensed into ribbons to adorn my clothes, and the waves turned into a skirt, stacking forward with my steps.

At this moment, such a phenomenon even caused the sky to be obscured by the clouds and rain of the sea, mixed with lightning and rain, which avoided my figure and dotted the giant waves.

This was even more terrifying than the Protection of the Elemental Spirit with all effects maxed out.

If I had to make an analogy, this might be a power on the same level as a Super Consumption Spellbook.

At this moment, the Sea Race, upon feeling the phenomenon, also chose to flee.

Even though they were a Sea Race blessed by the seawater, at this moment, they had to avoid its edge.

And many of the Sea Race students also knew the inside story and understood what was happening.

The Witch Academy had started to make a move.

That person who was controlling the seawater to erode the land like a queen of the sea was not from the Sea Race, but a witch!

If it were Lady Enala, they could have taken this opportunity to stand on the crest of the waves and let the inland guys witness the terror of the Sea Race!

But there were no ifs in all of this.

They could only watch that witch, who carried the Sea’s Marvelous Crown, let the giant waves become her layered skirt, descending like a queen.

And the Sea Race could only suffer the aftershocks of the tsunami on the side.

“That... what is that?”

Among the elves and the Beast Academy near the sea, some also saw this phenomenon.

The receding seawater exposed large patches of land, but a blurry, sky-obscuring dark shadow in the distance was approaching the land with a suffocating sense of oppression.

“Tsu... tsunami! It’s a tsunami!”

Finally, someone recognized what these signs were and quickly ran back to inform their academy.

Even if the tsunami didn’t seem to be targeting here, the aftershocks would definitely affect them.

After learning the news, the elves quickly realized about the Sea Race’s ritual yesterday, and the terrifying witch who came to stop them.

After combining many pieces of information, it became very clear.

The elves climbed the World Tree and gazed at the distant sea surface.

Was that the result of the Sea Race and the Witch Academy joining forces?

Everyone saw the monstrous waves and the most conspicuous, dazzling figure above them.

“The Sea Race’s ritual actually cause a tsunami?”

“Isn’t this a bit too terrifying? Looking at this movement, their target... that place is...”

“It’s the Fallen Land. The Fallen Land is the lowest point on the entire map, and there’s that ravine leading to the abyss. They’re joining forces to flood the Fallen Land!”

“Flood... the Fallen Land?!”

After seeing the essence through these matters, they found that they had been too conservative.

What if such a huge wave were to hit their World Tree?

And this crazy act of flooding the Fallen Land, some elves didn’t even notice their own legs were trembling.

“Prepare to meet the impact of the aftershocks! This side of the coastal area can’t escape such a tsunami, quickly!”

“The Sea Race... it seems their ritual also needs to be taken several levels more seriously...”

Following the command from the elves’ leader, the elves also went down to prepare for the tsunami’s impact.

At this moment.

I was riding the tsunami, an experience like no other.

Similarly, this was also a time for me to feel the resonance of water.

This feeling was simply too wonderful.

I looked at the Fallen Land ahead as if I were looking down at a miniature map.

I still underestimated the power of the tsunami, or rather, the effect produced by the overlapping waves under my resonance.

If all this were controlled by the Sea Race themselves, I might still worry if the Fallen Land could be completely flooded.

But now, with the power of the Sea’s Marvelous Crown and the means of resonance, the coastal areas on this side would all be affected.

“Come! Fallen Land... Undead... Imps, little demons, undead, fallen ones... pay the price for your actions...”

The tsunami hit the shore at this moment, and I instantly submerged into the seawater, resonating with it, guiding the direction of the torrent.

The seemingly safe highlands and treacherous mountains of the Fallen Land were as useless as the Maginot Line at this moment.

Those students who were still recuperating and accumulating power in the Fallen Land also felt the huge commotion at this moment.

But when they looked up, they only saw terrifying seawater pouring in along the mountains and ravines.

They didn’t even have time to run before the seawater charged over fiercely, carrying the rocks and hard objects of the Fallen Land, washing away its sins.

“You guys in the Fallen Land, time to get up!”

Under the protection of the seawater, my voice echoed through the valleys of the Fallen Land via the water.

“It’s... it’s that witch’s voice!”

“Run!”

“Damn it... I wish you ****!”

At this moment, the Fallen Land also echoed with the curses of those students, but the seawater would respond to each of them equally.

The giant sword in the very center of the Fallen Land, facing the surging seawater, still stood firm, cleaving the waves.

I leaped out of the waves and stood on the hilt of that giant sword, watching the seawater wash over everything.

This was where the heavily injured body of Lan Baihui had been tied.

And now, that anger was slowly fading amidst their wails.

“This giant sword... looks pretty good.”

I commented, stepping on the giant sword.

Then I looked at the Sea’s Marvelous Crown above my head, which was starting to show signs of cracking.

It seemed the power of the tsunami was no longer under my control, but my goal had been achieved.
