Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 134: A New Roommate, the Ascetic Yu Yetian

Morning.

I slept very well last night and felt great when I woke up this morning.

But as I went downstairs, I heard some noise.

Someone was up?

If they had a class, this wasn’t too early to get up.

But thinking back to my roommates, none of them should be making so much noise in the kitchen, right?

I walked to the kitchen out of curiosity.

I wanted to see who was in the kitchen so early in the morning.

Didn’t anyone usually use the kitchen?

They, including me, all ate outside.

Besides, there were no groceries in the villa.

As I opened the kitchen door, I saw a figure standing with her back to me at the stove.

Her long hair, golden with a black gradient, was slightly disheveled and fell over her back.

Perhaps sensing my presence, she subconsciously turned around to look at me.

”Hi... hello. May the Holy Light guide you, my roommate whom I have not yet met.”

”Uh... hi...”

I was stunned by her words.

This golden gradient long hair clearly didn’t belong to anyone I knew.

Her words also indicated that she was a new student who had just arrived last night.

The black gradient hair must have been her original hair color, and the gold was dyed.

What she said was very consistent with my understanding of the Holy Angel Academy’s disciples in this world.

So I concluded that she was a new student who had originally intended to enroll in Holy Angel Academy.

Either her scores were not high enough, so she enrolled in Witch Academy, but the probability of this was low.

Given the time of her enrollment, she was likely abducted, which was why she moved in so late.

Also, she moved into a dorm full of gender-bent people like ours.

This person, who was full of wife-like qualities she um... was she a boy before?

I heard that the Holy Angel religion didn’t care much about gender, since the Holy Angels themselves had no gender.

If she was a boy, it didn’t seem impossible for her to accept becoming a girl?

It seemed to make sense.

”Um... My name is Yang Yuehan. You can just call me Little Han,” I introduced myself again, now a master at it.

”I know. My roommates also explained the situation in the villa to me last night. They all call you Big Sis Xiao Han. You must have a way of making them trust you. Ah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yu Yetian. If you want to be more intimate, you can call me Little Yu or Little Tian.”

”Okay... alright, Little Tian.”

With that, we formally introduced ourselves to each other.

”Um... are you... making breakfast?”

”Mhm. As an ascetic, this is a habit of mine. However, my breakfast is very bland, so I didn’t dare to make too much, as waste is a shameful thing.”

Yu Yetian said as she took out a small bowl from the kitchen, simply washed it, and then filled it with some plain porridge.

”Uh is this for me?”

”Of course. Do you want to try it? See how my cooking is.”

Yu Yetian looked at me with a smiling face and a hint of anticipation.

”Thank you. You... are the first person to use the kitchen here.”

I took a small bowl.

The steaming hot porridge was obviously just made.

I carefully tasted a mouthful along the edge... mmm... as expected, it was tasteless plain porridge, with only the bland taste of porridge.

”Thank you, it tastes good.”

”Really? You are the first person who is not an ascetic to say that this plain porridge tastes good. I guess you must also have the potential to believe in the Holy Light.”

”Ah... no, no. I’m just not picky.”

I quickly explained.

It would have been better if there were some side dishes.

It seemed she hadn’t prepared any.

And believe in the Holy Light?

Sorry, I don’t believe in that.

Even though I know that belief and faith are two different things, I won’t entrust my so-called faith to these things.

”Is that so? Then I was being presumptuous. But we’re living under the same roof from now on, so I hope Big Sis Xiao Han will take good care of me.”

”Uh... taking good care of you is a bit, In short, let’s work together.”

”Then let’s encourage each other, my Class President.”

”Huh?”

”My apologies. You don’t know about this yet, do you? Because I just arrived at the Academy yesterday, I was assigned to Class 14, and to take care of me, a new student, they assigned me to your dorm, my Class President. I hope you don’t mind too much.”

Yu Yetian slightly raised her head to look directly at me.

The gentle smile on her lips now seemed to hold a different meaning.

”Is that so? That’s great. Why would I mind? But you don’t have any classes today. It’s best to get used to the Academy.”

”Indeed. I was hoping that my Class President could show me around the Academy, but seeing that you’re up so early, you must have your own things to do,” Yu Yetian said, lowering her head with a hint of disappointment.

”My apologies... I do have some things to do... um... if you don’t mind, maybe you can go with Hong Chenyi? She’s also in Class 14 and is very active. With her guiding you, you should be able to adapt quickly.”

I said, a little apologetically.

After all, as the class president, I couldn’t show a new student around the Academy.

Wait a minute, did a class president have this obligation?

How did she get me all tangled up?

”Hong Chenyi? I feel a not-so-pure aura from her. In this villa, only you give me the best feeling, Big Sis Xiao Han, followed by Dongli Yiren. May I be so bold as to ask what you’re doing today, my Class President?”

”Um I... I’m going to the laboratory to research spellbooks,” I organized my thoughts and explained.

”Oh? Big Sis Xiao Han is already doing Transcendent research? Then... Can you take me to see it? If I’m too much of a bother, you can refuse, my Class President. You don’t have to be troubled by my unreasonable requests.”

”Actually, I can take you along. But it might be a little dangerous. If you don’t mind.”

”Of course I don’t mind. But please wait a moment. I promised them I’d make breakfast for them last night. I’ll dish it out for them first.”

As I watched Yu Yetian get busy, I finished the small bowl in my hand.

After all, she had just said something about not wasting food.

Although there were no side dishes, I just drank it like water.

”It seems they haven’t gotten up yet. Let’s go ahead,” Yu Yetian untied the apron on her body and straightened her clothes.

Although she did have a wife-like temperament, she seemed unaccustomed to wearing such feminine clothes.

Her movements to brush her long hair were also awkward.

She looked like she had just become a girl recently.

”Huh? What’s wrong? I’m sorry. This is my second day as a girl. Please correct me if I’m doing anything wrong,” Yu Yetian seemed to have noticed my gaze and explained directly.

This was so straightforward it was unbelievable.

This... this level of acceptance!

She was on par with me!

”Oh, it’s nothing. Just be your true self. Don’t be forced to change because of external perceptions.”

”That’s a good point. Thank you.”

After a simple conversation with Yu Yetian, I breathed a sigh of relief.

For some reason, I felt it was very difficult to communicate with her.

When I took her to the bus station, Yu Yetian spoke again.

”Huh? Big Sis Xiao Han, Hong Chenyi told me that you can fly already. I didn’t expect you to take the bus as well?”

”Oh? You know about that?”

”Of course. Is flying on a broomstick very restrictive? Is it something we new students can’t use often?”

”Oh, no. It’s just that I’ve rarely carried people on my broom, so I thought it would be safer to take the bus.”

”Is that so? When I first came to Witch Academy, a senior took me on her broom. I heard that flying on a broomstick is a specialty of Witch Academy. I thought I could experience it again,” Yu Yetian said regretfully.

”Actually, I can take you. It might be a little slower, though. Do you want to? We might have to wait a while for the bus to arrive.”

”Then I’ll have to trouble you, Big Sis Xiao Han. I really want to experience it one more time.”

After some discussion, we finally decided to fly there on the broom.

After all, I had experience flying with Big Sis Bai, so I wasn’t worried about crashing.

As Yu Yetian sat behind me, her little hands clutching my clothes as we flew in the sky, I could still feel her nervousness.

”Are you okay?”

”Ngh... I’m okay. I’m a little afraid of heights, but this is my weakness, and I need to overcome it... May the Holy Light protect me as I overcome... my predicament...”

”Alright...”

I didn’t expect Yu Yetian to be afraid of heights.

I actually had a bit of it too, but once I mastered flying, I wasn’t so scared anymore and even enjoyed it.

It gave me a sense of embracing the sky.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t fly too high in the Academy, or I might touch the Curtain Wall in the sky.

The sky in the morning was also very refreshing.

The sun was rising on the horizon, and starting a new day by greeting the morning sun was a very meaningful thing.

I took Yu Yetian to the Central Teaching Area.

Yu Yetian hadn’t come for yesterday’s class, so this must have been her first time here.

”Are you okay?”

After landing, I saw Yu Yetian kneeling on the ground and immediately went to help her.

Her fear of heights was so severe, yet she still persuaded me to take her on the broom.

What was she after?

”I... cough... ngh... I’m... I’m fine. Thank you for your concern... ngh...”

Yu Yetian spoke in a disjointed way, seemingly not wanting to bother me for help.

”Let’s get up first. The floor is tiled, but it’s not very clean,” I said, grabbing her forearm to help her stand up.

But she still looked very weak.

”You should have said something if you were so afraid of heights. You’re like this...”

”I’m sorry for troubling you... but... but I also want to fly. Overcoming what one fears is also a form of cultivation that an ascetic must undergo...”

”Okay, stop talking about cultivation. There are many other ways to overcome your fears. There’s no need to force yourself like this,” I said as I helped her walk into the Experimental Building.

”Ngh... is this where you research spells, Big Sis Xiao Han? This is my first time here.”

”Mhm, something like that. I’m in laboratory 8401. By the way, our Counselor is in 8405. If you want to find Counselor Ji Niang, you can come here.”

”Is that so? Thank you for telling me, Class President. I actually wanted to find the Counselor for something. We can go together.”

”Huh? But the Counselor seems to have a class today, so she won’t be here. You might be disappointed.”

”Is that so? Alright. It’s not so disappointing. Didn’t you say you’d let me see your laboratory, Big Sis Xiao Han? Can I go inside to look around?”

”Of course. Just don’t touch anything.”
