Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 127: The First Class Meeting

I silently pulled away from her.

Was something wrong with this person’s brain?

But if what she said was her real experience, then it was just too awful.

And that place she mentioned sounded very sketchy.

”Wait, that place you just mentioned is called Fengqing Street?”

I asked tentatively.

”Huh? Big Sis Xiao Han, you know about it too? But that’s not its name, it’s just what some people call it. It has a formal name. The senior students there talk so nicely, and the beds are so soft and cozy. I love that place!”

”Okay...”

I put a hand on my forehead.

Had she been sold by some senior student and was happy to pay for it?

Or had she been brainwashed there?

”But yesterday, it was suddenly sealed off. A lot of senior students in uniforms rushed in and ordered it to be shut down. I had nowhere to live, so I remembered that I was assigned a room key, and that’s why I came back.”

Hong Chenyi’s expression suddenly turned sad, and she spoke with an indignant tone, as if she were railing against injustice.

I silently got up.

Was there no normal person in this dorm?

Was it even necessary for me to live with these people?

”Huh? Big Sis Xiao Han, are you not going to listen anymore?”

”No, it’s getting late, and I have things to do tomorrow. You shouldn’t stay up too late watching TV either. I’m going to take a shower.”

I quickly found an excuse to leave.

I wasn’t going to stay in the living room.

There was a person here whose brain wasn’t working properly.

How could a person like this have gotten such a high score?

Was her brain fried from studying too much?

”Oh, right, we have a class meeting tomorrow. Okay, Big Sis Xiao Han, don’t turn off the lights after you shower. I’ll shower after you!”

”Mhm.”

I casually agreed and went back to my room with my things.

After a comfortable shower, I went to bed early.

The next morning.

I deliberately styled and groomed myself, but I still wasn’t used to using makeup.

Although Big Sis Bai had bought me some, I hadn’t used any of it.

My mind was still stuck in a male mindset.

It was probably better to just throw makeup in the trash.

Wasn’t natural beauty good enough?

Witchification was the best skincare.

Today, I was also wearing all black, with a skirt that wasn’t too long.

In front of the mirror, this outfit wasn’t too flashy and gave me a sense of a valiant style.

It also had a neutral handsomeness without losing a girl’s soft beauty.

After tying my hair into a simple single ponytail, I was pretty much ready to go.

”Huh? Big Sis Xiao Han, why are you up so early? Wait for me. We still have so much time until the scheduled meeting...”

Hong Chenyi said in a rush.

She was afraid that I would leave without her and kept begging.

”I’m the Class President. How can I not be the first one to arrive?

It will make me seem like I don’t care about the class.”

”Shouldn’t the Class President be the final one to make a grand appearance? The most important people should always be the last to arrive.”

Hong Chenyi complained.

But I didn’t care.

That would be like acting like a big shot, and I wasn’t going down that road.

I was taking the populist route, trying to get along well with everyone in the class.

I had never managed people before, especially not a hundred of them.

But I knew that if my relationship with each of them was good, they would probably listen to me.

And if I encountered any trouble later, I would deal with it then.

For now, I still wanted to play my part well.

The public image still had to be done properly.

After Hong Chenyi dithered for a long time, I finally got on the shuttle to the teaching building.

Along the way, I could see many groups of girls on the shuttle, with youthful smiles on their faces, chatting and laughing.

Seeing that they only had one Magic Power Source in their bodies and that their expressions were innocent and hadn’t been beaten down by the academy yet, it was easy to distinguish between new students and senior students.

It seemed the senior student didn’t lie to me before.

Most of the new students’ dorms were assigned here, and as we got closer to our destination, the shuttle became more crowded.

It seemed I had to start catching the shuttle earlier from now on.

But each counselor was in charge of a different class, so the class meeting times were different today.

I had already confirmed this with Dongli Yiren and the others.

So my mindset was very calm right now.

Our Class 14’s meeting time hadn’t arrived yet.

At this moment, Hong Chenyi was also very excited.

The clothes she wore today were beautiful and revealed a lot of skin.

Although they were very conservative compared to the senior students on Fengqing Street, you could still see some of the design style from there.

After all, the parts that should be exposed were exposed.

And her natural looks were also very good, so she easily attracted the attention of others.

”Hey, hey, Big Sis Xiao Han, there are so many new students today.”

”Mhm, there really are. Today is the first day of school. I wonder if there’s a new student orientation ceremony. But it doesn’t look like there’s any notification, so probably not.”

”Huh? That’s such a shame. A Transcendent Academy doesn’t have an opening ceremony. That’s so unprofessional.”

As Hong Chenyi and I chatted, we quickly arrived at the teaching building in the Central Teaching Area.

There was naturally more than one teaching building here.

After all, a lot of senior students also came here for classes.

With so many new students every year, how could there not be a lot of teaching buildings?

”Big Sis Xiao Han, which teaching building are we going to?”

Hong Chenyi looked at me with a bewildered expression, as if she could just turn off her brain when she was with me, the Class President.

”Sigh just follow me.”

I sighed and finally led Hong Chenyi to identify the teaching building by its number and walked straight toward it.

As for remembering the classroom number?

There was no need for that.

This was just a temporary classroom for the students to gather.

And we might not even have classes in this classroom later.

Why bother remembering it?

Besides, I had course exemptions, so I didn’t even have to go to class.

After climbing a few floors, I found the classroom where Ji Niang said the meeting would be.

This classroom was very big, especially big.

There were more than a hundred seats, enough for a class meeting.

You could even squeeze in two classes.

”Huh? This is it? Someone got here earlier than us?”

Hong Chenyi was very lively at this moment.

As soon as she entered the classroom, she spoke out loudly.

I also walked in and saw a girl sitting in a corner.

She looked up at me, but when her eyes met mine, she looked away shyly.

”Hello, I’m Yang Yuehan, and I’m also the Class President of Class 14. You’re here so early?”

I paused for a moment, but still formally introduced myself to the student.

”Huh? Class President? You’re the Class President? Um... hello, my name is Feng Yuzhen.”

She was also very surprised, but after her surprise passed, she simply stated her name.

”Feng Yuzhen, right? I hope we can get along well in the future.”

I smiled and spoke to her in a gentle tone.

She seemed to be the introverted, socially anxious type.

In a way, she was a bit like me, but I was trying to change myself.

After a simple greeting, I sat down in the front row.

After all, I was the Class President, and Teacher Ji Niang was definitely going to speak.

Wouldn’t it be inconvenient if I sat in the back?

It would be very boring to wait here for such a long time, but I had brought the papers my teacher gave me yesterday.

I hadn’t had a chance to read them yesterday.

That day had been too draining for me.

After a shower, I got into bed and fell asleep very quickly.

Now was a good time.

After a night of rest and a review, I could master the knowledge faster.

Besides, I had a lot of my own ideas and wanted to try them out when I was researching and analyzing that Spellbook yesterday.

Unfortunately, I never had the chance.

A Spellbook could bypass the restriction of not being able to mobilize magic power and draw it to cast a spell.

But that required Mental Power to establish a connection with the Spellbook before a spell could be cast.

If I mastered a way to modify the internal structure of a Spellbook, wouldn’t that mean I could change the effects of the spell?

Although this change would most likely weaken the spell’s effect.

But this was still progress!

It was an improvement in my methods!

Your Fireball might be able to create a crater, but my Fireball’s power could be extinguished by a single hand.

This was a high-level way of showing off my own strength.

This kind of scene would be so much more fun than playing a game and casting skills.

While I was still looking at the papers, Hong Chenyi, who was sitting next to me, still hadn’t given up on the idea of getting me to sit in the back.

She wanted to sit in the back but also wanted to sit with me, but since I didn’t agree, she had to bite the bullet and sit in the front row with me.

”Big Sis Xiao Han, don’t try so hard. Don’t try so hard. What are you looking at? I’m already getting dizzy!”

”I’m looking at ’A Shallow Analysis of the Internal Integration Structure of a Fireball Spellbook Taking the Standard Fireball Spell Model Spellbook as an Example.’ Do you want to take a look? I have nine other different ones here.”

”Oh... just give me one. I’ll pretend to be studying...”

In the end, Hong Chenyi took a Fireball paper and placed it in front of her.

At first, she was reading the overview and seemed to be enjoying it, but later, she started to get sleepy.

After all, this person probably had another ’nightlife’ yesterday and I didn’t know what time she watched TV until.

Time passed little by little.

The students who arrived early also came in one after another.

I looked at every student who entered the classroom and memorized them in my mind.

These were all my classmates.

Although I might not take classes with them later, I still had to remember what they looked like.

Similarly, I also mentioned everyone in both groups again, in case some people forgot this morning.

Otherwise, I couldn’t imagine what Ji Niang would be like when she was angry.

If someone was absent and didn’t show up, Ji Niang would probably be very angry, right?

I hoped Ji Niang wouldn’t give them a hard time, but they had to bear the consequences of their own choices.

It would have been better if they had just told me in the group that they were going to be absent, and preferably given a reason, so I could explain it to the teacher.

Time passed little by little, and it was almost the scheduled time.

I turned around and looked at the people in the class.

Almost everyone had arrived.

But it was obvious that not everyone was here.

I asked in the group again and found that someone had taken the wrong bus and was on their way.

Okay... that was a reasonable excuse.

Just as I was waiting for a message in the group, a figure walked in through the doorway.

As soon as she entered, the classroom, which had been buzzing with chatter, immediately quieted down.

That’s right, this well-endowed woman with a powerful aura was Ji Niang.

”It seems almost everyone has arrived. Let me introduce myself. My name is Ji Niang, and I’m also the counselor of Class 14. My office is in 8405. If you have anything, you can come find me there.”

As Ji Niang spoke, she turned to face the blackboard.

Only then did my attention turn to this huge blackboard.

This didn’t seem to be the kind of blackboard I was used to, which used chalk.

This was a huge Earth Vein operating system, and this blackboard was like a display screen.

I could feel the surge of Earth Vein Energy.

With a wave of Ji Niang’s hand, her name appeared on the blackboard, causing a lot of people to exclaim in surprise.

After all, most of the people here had only seen blackboards or blackboards combined with multimedia computers during their school years.

They had never seen this Earth Vein system before, so they were naturally amazed by it.

This podium was the core of the Earth Vein system.

After it was activated, the edge of the blackboard also had a decorative pattern designed from the gathering of Earth Vein Energy.

”The scheduled time has arrived, and there are still some people in the class who haven’t arrived yet. I, as your teacher, hate latecomers. I hope you will remember this from now on.”

”So today will be the first time our Class 14 gathers here for a class meeting. And I’d like to welcome all the new students to our Witch Academy.”

With Ji Niang’s mobilization, the reaction below was very flat, but there were some ’show-offs’ who gave her some support, and I was one of them, mixing in with the fake enthusiasm.

But Ji Niang didn’t care.

It was her first time as a counselor, and she wasn’t very familiar with a lot of things, but it didn’t matter.

Even an unqualified counselor was still a counselor.

She wasn’t going to care about this.

”That’s all for the welcome. I know many of you are very excited, and the things that represent the transcendent world are many, but I also have to wake you up. The transcendent world is not what you imagine it to be. The novels you usually read are just novels. No one can achieve success overnight, and no one is a natural-born protagonist.”

Ji Niang’s sudden turn immediately extinguished the enthusiasm of many people, but she didn’t care.

After all, a person who could be affected by her words like this was also destined to not have any outstanding performance in the future.

However, when she said this last sentence, her tone was a little lacking in confidence, but this slight lack of confidence was not enough for the students to notice.

After all, these were just empty words.

If it weren’t for this special period, these words would be a very common trope.

But an ordinary student at Witch Academy, even if they become a Transcendent Witch, will still be an ordinary Transcendent Witch later on.

”Then let’s begin with the first requirement of your enrollment: signing the confidentiality contract. From now on, all important matters within the Transcendent Academy are not allowed to be leaked or spread on the outside network. From today onward, you and the world outside the academy will be two worlds that do not intersect.”

After Ji Niang finished speaking, no one made a sound.

Ji Niang wasn’t discussing with the people in the class; she was informing them.

This contract had to be signed.

Don’t naively think that if you don’t sign it, you will be able to go back to a normal life.

The teachers will force you to sign it.

Don’t forget, every Transcendent Academy is a place that ’eats people without spitting out the bones.’
