Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 133: Half a Day’s Harvest

In the evening.

Ji Niang checked the time.

It was well past the normal class schedule.

”Little Han, are you used to staying up late?”

”Huh? Me? I... I’m okay.”

I was momentarily stunned by the sudden question, but I still said something against my will.

I knew that witches were creatures with rich night lives, but I was pretty regular with my sleep.

”Today I’m going to tell you that sometimes, studying requires a balance between work and rest. Today’s records will stop here.”

Ji Niang tidied up the various experimental records and successful analyses that had been recorded in segments since this afternoon.

The smile on her face was enough to show that she had gained a lot.

”Huh? Okay. So... we’re going back now? Will it be the same tomorrow?”

”Mhm, I have a class tomorrow. You can come or not, but if you do, try to practice what we tested today and fully grasp it.”

”Mhm, okay.”

I nodded heavily.

”Oh, right, come and register your information. It’ll prevent you from not being able to get in here by yourself tomorrow.”

After a while, I said goodbye to Ji Niang.

It was already very late, and I hadn’t eaten yet.

I figured the guys in the dorm would probably already be asleep by the time I got back.

Once I got downstairs, I took out the Flying Broom that Teacher Ji Niang had given me.

I have to say, having this thing was so convenient!

It was even more convenient than taking a car!

I took out my phone.

During this time, I had received some private messages from people in my class asking for information or just wanting to make friends.

Unfortunately, I had been busy all afternoon, so I hoped I didn’t give them the wrong impression of being too cold.

The Class 14 mutual aid group seemed to always have a 99+ notifications status whenever I opened it.

Sometimes I would join the conversation, and it was quite interesting to watch them chat.

However, I had two major gains today.

One was that my Magic Power Sources had reached 32.

This meant that I had cast Fireball nearly 32 times today.

A Magic Power Source’s recovery usually took a whole day.

I hadn’t yet mastered the ability to speed up its recovery at this stage.

And according to Teacher Ji Niang, it was better to increase the number of Magic Power Sources than to increase the recovery ability.

If my Mental Power didn’t have such a high consumption, I might have been able to get even more Magic Power Sources for free.

And during the process, I also had to Meditate to speed up the recovery of my Mental Power.

I felt that my Mental power seemed to have improved a bit.

The other gain was the Fireball spellbook.

I had already completely broken one of the Fireball spellbooks.

The one in my body now was a new one.

As for the reason for the damage, it was naturally caused by my attempts to ’mod’ the spellbook.

I found that the technique of ’modding’ a spellbook was truly amazing, especially after modifying the internal ritual.

Even Teacher Ji Niang couldn’t accurately predict the consequences.

The time I completely broke the spellbook was when I modified a restriction structure, which caused the spellbook to absorb magic power without limit.

The size of the Fireball even reached my height!

Fortunately, Ji Niang stopped me in time, but the cost of the forced interruption was that the spellbook’s internal ritual was destroyed.

The spellbook was in a semi-broken state.

But Ji Niang also made good use of it.

Since it was already broken, she disassembled it more thoroughly so I could see the internal structure more clearly and even made it into a display sample.

I have now mastered several uses for the Fireball, including but not limited to Double Fireball and Multiple Fireballs.

I felt that if I kept ’modding’ the Fireball spell, I might really end up breaking it.

Moreover, I could even control the power of the Fireball so that it didn’t draw the magic power from an entire Magic Power Source at once.

I also discovered that the conversion rate of magic power into the fire element was shockingly low.

If a Magic Power Source’s magic power were fully converted to form a Fireball, it might be powerful enough to blow up this entire building.

Of course, this was just a metaphor.

After all, this building had spell reinforcement and could not be toppled by a single Fireball, not even a ’modded’ one.

I was riding the Flying Broom, with the cold wind blowing on me from above.

The sky had already darkened, and I was playing with a small Fireball in my palm.

This was a Fireball with its elemental energy completely contained, which meant it was not hot.

I could even pinch it with my fingers, although it didn’t have a solid form.

But if it were to explode, its power would not be small.

It was like holding a firecracker in my hand that could explode at any time.

With the Flying Broom, the Central Teaching Area, which was originally very far from the dorms, didn’t take long to get to now.

It only took me a little bit of time to get to the villa, after all, this was a straight flight from point A to point B, so the speed was naturally very fast.

”I’m back... huh?”

As soon as I entered the villa, I smelled a familiar scent in the living room.

It was Aromatherapy!

I walked into the living room and saw three people sitting on the floor with cushions under them.

There was a medium-sized Incense Burner next to them, from which the smoke of the Aromatherapy was still wafting.

They were meditating?

This was my first thought.

Then, I didn’t call out to them loudly, as being interrupted during Meditation was very uncomfortable.

But only half a day had passed.

How had they already started to Meditate?

I remembered that my class schedule didn’t have a Meditation class today.

Why was Hong Chenyi joining in?

Meditating in a line of three, huh?

If I remembered correctly, this was their first time being introduced to the Witch Meditation Method, right?

Half a day...

Did they succeed?

I subconsciously used Spirit Vision to observe them.

I couldn’t see the ethereal-like Meditation space on them, which meant they hadn’t succeeded.

Their determined looks, though, made me not want to interrupt them.

I quietly sat on the sofa.

I didn’t know why they didn’t sit on the sofa and insisted on sitting on the floor with a uniform cushion.

Just as I sat down, I saw Hong Chenyi’s eyes peeking open.

It was obvious that she couldn’t keep up the act herself.

And I saw that the Aromatherapy in their Incense Burner had also burned out, which showed they had been trying for a long time.

”Alright, all of you, stop pretending. The Aromatherapy in the Incense Burner is all gone.”

Since I saw they hadn’t completed the Meditation, I could only reluctantly interrupt them.

”Still not opening your eyes? You think I can’t tell if you’ve entered Meditation?”

I got up and gave Hong Chenyi a light tap.

This girl had opened her eyes and looked at me just now, so she was naturally my first target.

Besides, she was in my Class 14.

What was wrong with a class president teaching her students a lesson?

It was only right and proper.

”Ouch, Big Sis Xiao Han, I had already entered Meditation, and you interrupted me,” Hong Chenyi said, covering her head with a wronged expression.

”When I succeeded in Meditation, you weren’t even in this dorm yet. You think I can’t tell if you’ve Meditated?”

”Huh? Big Sis Xiao Han, you’ve already succeeded in Meditation?”

Hong Chenyi’s eyes widened in disbelief.

And Dongli Yiren also opened her eyes.

They had indeed not succeeded.

It was just the beginning of the class, and they had bought some Aromatherapy to try it out when they got back.

”Big Sis Xiao Han, let me leech from you. Give me some Meditation experience, please”

Hong Chenyi threw herself on the floor and hugged my leg again, whimpering.

I got the feeling that this Hong Chenyi girl had a very strong desire to perform, didn’t she?

And she was also an attention-seeker.

”We haven’t had our Meditation class yet, have we? I’ve seen the class schedule. Why are you in such a hurry? Are you afraid the teacher won’t tell you everything in class?”

I asked helplessly.

”Big Sis Xiao Han, since you have a Course Exemption, you won’t care if we live or die. Yiren told me that the teacher’s explanation in her afternoon Meditation class was like an ancient text. The kind you can’t understand at all.”

”Sigh...”

I held my forehead.

Was it because of something like this?

But because of my Course Exemption, I really didn’t have to worry about this.

”Big Sis Xiao Han, please give us some experience. I, and Yiren, and Guan Qiuling will all be very grateful to you.”

”What experience is there?”

I looked up at Dongli Yiren and the others.

They hadn’t said much, as Hong Chenyi had said it all.

But I still saw hope in their eyes.

They hoped I would explain it to them.

”Sigh... okay... I’ll tell you my personal opinion, but don’t take it as the absolute truth. In fact, for Meditation, no matter what the teacher says, as long as you understand the basic principles of the Witch Meditation Method, you just need to try more with a lot of money on Aromatherapy. Oh, and also, the Academy has dedicated Meditation Rooms for Meditation. Didn’t your teachers tell you?”

”Huh? There’s that?”

Hong Chenyi turned to look at Dongli Yiren.

It was obvious that only Dongli Yiren’s class had a Meditation class today.

”The teacher didn’t say. She just explained the general difference between the Witch Meditation Method and our previous Meditation. There wasn’t much useful content,” Dongli Yiren said, shaking her head.

”Yeah, not much. We had to go to the library to borrow Meditation books before we could even start,” Hong Chenyi said, flipping through the books on the coffee table unenthusiastically.

”Oh, right, let’s not talk about this! Big Sis Xiao Han, where did you get your Flying License? I want to fly too! This morning, I saw you zipping away and disappearing in a flash. I was so envious!”

”Are you envious? It’s good that you are envious. Just work hard, and you’ll have everything. It took me a whole vacation to get my Flying License.”

I naturally understood Hong Chenyi’s envy.

Who didn’t get envious sometimes?

”I can tell you where I learned, but the tuition fee is a lot.”

My gaze fell on Dongli Yiren, whose eyes had lit up just now.

I knew she was short on money, and it seemed this would completely dash her plans to get a Flying License now.

But after I said it, Dongli Yiren still quietly made a note of the place, probably so she could consider it later when she had money.

In any case, the boys who came to Witch Academy were all unexpected and were all short on money.

They also couldn’t contact the outside world, and even if they did, whether their families would acknowledge them was a problem.

So being short on money was a very normal thing.

However, Guan Qiuling seemed to not be short on money.

I guessed her family would transfer money to her card.

I decided not to think about things I couldn’t understand.

Other people having money didn’t mean I had money.

After joking around in the living room and explaining a senior’s insights, I said goodbye to them under their reluctant gazes.

After all, regardless of whether I had class tomorrow, I was going to the laboratory.

So I had to go to bed early.

Even though Teacher Ji Niang wouldn’t be there tomorrow, it didn’t mean I couldn’t do it myself.

The structure of the spellbook’s internal ritual had too many places that could be modified.

Wasn’t exploring the unknown the greatest joy?

Although it also came with risks as long as I didn’t actively seek death, I would be fine.
