Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 109: Paid Leave Tomorrow Plus Club Recruitment

Arriving at the bakery, I found that there seemed to be more customers today.

“Senior Ying Shiqian, I’ve come to see you.”

After entering, I saw the busy Senior Ying Shiqian.

Tang Yihan should be in the back, right?

It’s so late, she couldn’t still be working on new products, could she?

“Eh? Xiao Han? Isn’t it the first day of school for freshmen today? Why do you have time to come here?”

“Heiya, I just went to see the excitement, and wandered back in the evening.”

I moved closer to Senior Ying Shiqian and explained, “But it seems there are quite a few customers today, are you getting busy?”

“Yeah, with the new students enrolling, the vicinity will probably be full very soon, so naturally there are more customers. I can’t even slack off anymore.”

Ying Shiqian sighed with a weary look.

“Is that so? No wonder there weren’t many customers before. Is it because not many people lived here?”

After all, if there weren’t many people nearby, there naturally wouldn’t be many customers.

Now that the new students are enrolling, and more people are around or the old students have returned, the number of customers has increased.

Sigh, it’s a bit of a pity.

Classes are about to start for me, so I don’t have much time to come over for a part-time job anymore.

“Of course, the dorms arranged for this year’s new students happen to be in this area. There’s no helping it, I can’t slack off like before.”

The senior complained helplessly.

“Not being able to slack off is also good, you can earn funds for the club.”

“Funds? The money we’re making now probably isn’t even enough for Yihan’s creations alone. Baked desserts should be highly profitable, but after passing through Tang Yihan’s hands, I’m afraid we’ll have to pay out of our own pockets.”

Ying Shiqian pouted and complained helplessly.

It seems this bakery can still exist entirely thanks to the store manager’s wallet and personal savings.

It’s really tough, having to pay salaries for three employees.

“Oh, right, Xiao Han, today is the first day of school. The place you went to register, was it very lively? I didn’t have time to go see, what a pity.”

“It was indeed very lively, and even grander than when I enrolled. I feel a bit unbalanced inside.”

“Sigh, I’m envious. But Xiao Han, are you interested in keeping me company for a while tomorrow?”

Ying Shiqian continued, her tone somewhat tentative.

“Ah? Keep you company? What are you going to do? School just started, I’m very busy.”

“Eh? What’s there to be busy with right after school starts? I just want you to accompany me to the registration area tomorrow. Sigh, the store manager is making trouble out of nothing again today.”

Ying Shiqian said as if she had thought of something unpleasant.

“What’s the matter? What did the store manager do now?”

I asked curiously.

“She also went to the place where the new students were being welcomed today, and then she saw many clubs recruiting new members right where the freshmen were enrolling. Then she contacted us to go recruit tomorrow and the day after. She’s really just doing whatever comes to mind.”

Ying Shiqian sighed and said helplessly.

“Ah? Club recruitment, so you’re the one going in the end?”

“Yeah, Tang Yihan and I played rock-paper-scissors, and I lost in the end. She won’t even accompany me, saying she has to watch the store. Seriously, what’s wrong with closing the store for a few days?”

Ying Shiqian had no choice but to complain to me, “Oh, right, for the recruitment, she even specially created a Red Velvet Bakery group chat. Let me pull you in.”

“Eh? Alright, I’m a member of the club after all.”

I took out my phone and was quickly pulled into a group by Senior Ying Shiqian.

The group name was very simple, “Red Velvet Bakery Club”.

Inside, besides the store manager and the two seniors, there was also Tan Han.

However, at this time, there were already more than ten people in the group chat.

As soon as I entered, I received a warm welcome of “Welcome newbie”, and even Tan Han followed with a “+1”.

Seeing this, I was momentarily stunned.

After all, I had promised Big Sis Bai not to have any contact with Tan Han.

Forget it, I’ll just give her the cold shoulder, just like with that girlfriend of mine.

Time forgets everything.

“Xiao Han You don’t have anything to do anyway, so just accompany me for the next two days of new student enrollment. I’m so bored by myself.”

Ying Shiqian at this moment once again turned into a pitiful creature, tugging at my forearm with a pathetic look.

“Sigh… this, Senior Ying Shiqian, don’t be like this, I’ll accompany you…”

“Great! It’s a deal!” At this moment, Ying Shiqian changed her previous demeanor, looking triumphant.

“But if I have things to do, I won’t be able to accompany you. I really do have things to take care of.”

Seeing the senior like this, I hurriedly said.

“School just started, what could a new student be busy with?”

Ying Shiqian said nonchalantly.

“Today was a class assignment, sigh. I was assigned to Class 14, and I even just met my counselor today. Unfortunately, I was appointed as the class president of Class 14, so there are a lot of things to do.”

“Ah? You became class president so quickly?”

Ying Shiqian was directly shocked when she heard my words.

Becoming class president on the first day of school?

Back then, the competition for class president in their class was fierce.

“It’s just the class president, it shouldn’t be a big deal, right?”

“Class president, sigh! The head of a class! You’ll enjoy all sorts of benefits from the class. Compared to those benefits, the responsibilities are not worth mentioning!”

“It can’t be that great, right? Anyway, there are quite a few things to do. I still don’t even know who is in the class, but the counselor told me to create a class group chat and add all the class students.”

I immediately started to complain.

“That… that does sound quite troublesome, huh.”

“By the way, Senior, how did your class president pull you into the class group chat back then? Give me some experience.”

I asked the senior.

“Eh? This… I’ve almost forgotten. I think my class president just pulled me in directly. I don’t know how a group suddenly appeared. Sorry, huh, I can’t provide any reference.”

Ying Shiqian said apologetically, “But you can accompany me to the club recruitment, maybe you’ll run into your classmates from Class 14? Right?”

“The probability of that is too small! Besides, didn’t you just say it was a pity you couldn’t go see the new student enrollment scene?”

I immediately retorted.

However, I remembered that the counselor said she would grant me the class president’s permissions, which might allow me to view the basic information of my classmates.

I wonder what this basic information includes?

Will it include things like talents?

After all, prying into others’ privacy is immoral, but it’s constantly tempting.

Besides, this is granted permission, so it can’t be called peeking, it’s called understanding classmate information!

I wonder how many people will be in our class.

I hope not too many.

I don’t pay much attention to these things.

Based on my past experience, a class of thirty or forty people should be the maximum, right?

Remembering everyone’s name one by one will be a mental chore.

Just thinking about it now feels troublesome.

“Aiya, whatever, Xiao Han, you promised. I want to see you tomorrow morning. If I don’t see you, I’ll call. I don’t care, just accompany this empty-nester senior, okay?”

“You, an empty-nester? Forget it, I’ll see if I can get up tomorrow.”

“Mhm! You must come! I’ll clock in for you. You’re contributing to the Bakery Club, the store manager won’t forget your efforts. I’ll split my double pay for tomorrow with you.”

In the end, I still agreed.

After all, who can say no to money?

So Ying Shiqian actually has double pay tomorrow.

Even if she gives me half, slacking off with pay at a different place tomorrow does sound really nice.

After staying here for a while longer, I was ready to head back to the dorm.

It’s time to have a talk with Guan Qiuling.

Randomly bringing a dangerous senior into the villa, no matter how you look at it, this is a dangerous act.

This problem child needs to be taught a good lesson.
