The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

The three pieces of fish prepared using different cooking methods were taken to the front hall by the server.

About ten minutes later, the server came to the back kitchen with a message, saying that the customer wanted to see the chef.

Of the ten or so dishes already served, none were what they wanted.

Room 301.

The female student in the school uniform of Second High was absent-mindedly drinking juice.

This year, she just started her sophomore year in the science track, with a heavy workload. She took a temporary leave during class meeting time today, brought by her parents to Qianlima to set a menu.

Earlier, when ordering, she vaguely ordered a few dishes based on her memory. The rest were recommended by the server according to the characteristics of the dishes she provided, as specialty dishes of the restaurant.

As a result, more than a dozen dishes were served, but not one matched the two she had in mind.

Her parents were very anxious.

”Yangyang, think carefully again, what kind of dishes were they?”

The girl felt a bit overwhelmed and impatiently said, ”I’ve already told you, even if you knew, it wouldn’t help. I’ll talk to the chef when he comes!”

Her father heard this and his face immediately darkened, ”How can you not know? You don’t even remember what you ate, yet you still want to get into college! I think you...”

Her father was scolding her when her mother shot him a glare, ”What good does all this talk do? When the chef comes, ask carefully, maybe we’ll find it!”

When Fu Yu arrived, the originally tense atmosphere in the room was instantly broken.

”Hello, I’m the chef here. Is there anything I can help you with?”

Fu Yu glanced at the family of three seated in front of him.

The girl in the school uniform of Second High wore glasses, her hair tied in a neat high ponytail exposing a smooth forehead, looked ordinary but well-behaved.

Her parents were visibly anxious.

”Does your restaurant have any other fish dishes? Not whole fish, the ones served earlier weren’t right. Besides those, are there any we haven’t ordered?”

This time, Fu Yu, based on previous ordering experience, carefully inquired their requirements first.

Including specific ingredients, tastes, and the style of the dishes.

Confirmed it was a fish dish, but not a whole fish, rather in chunks, though unclear if it was oiled, and no memory of the size of the fish pieces or slices.

Fu Yu started to suspect, could it be fish sticks?

Fu Yu asked for details about the plating of the dish: ”Is the dish served on a large plate? Are there any fish bones when eating?”

”A plate?”

The girl seemed lost in thought.

Fu Yu took the opportunity to check the [...] above the girl’s head.

The next second, instead of the usual sketch appeared a scene.

A black and white video.

It seemed to be from the girl’s visual perspective.

In the scene was a private room, but because of the visual angle, only a corner of the wall and a portion of the dining table could be seen.

The table was set with various plates and bowls, but all items were blurry as if pixelated.

At this time, the girl’s father spoke up, ”Can you remember what Zhang Conglin was eating back then?”

”Zhang Conglin?” the girl subconsciously repeated.

No sooner had she spoken than the video changed again.

A boy in sportswear appeared in the scene.

The boy was very handsome, with short-cropped hair and distinct features, even in profile, his looks were outstanding.

Unlike the previous blurry scenes, the boy’s image was very clear, down to every detail.

Fu Yu was speechless.

No wonder she had no memory of the dishes, she was too busy looking at the handsome guy!

Sure enough, the images in the girl’s mind were continuously that of the handsome boy.

After carefully recalling, the girl said with some distress, ”I really can’t remember, it seemed like he was eating a piece of fish, but in my memory, we didn’t order a whole fish. It should be a dish made with fish pieces or fillets.”

Fu Yu continued to ask, ”Did you notice if he put the whole piece in his mouth, or bit it in small bites?”

Since she had an impression of the person, Fu Yu could only try to get to the bottom of the issue from that angle.

The girl frowned, ”I didn’t notice; I wasn’t sitting next to him at the time. I just remember he picked up a piece and casually said, ’This fish is so tender.’ I don’t usually like eating these, so I didn’t pay attention.”

Judging by her words, a tender fish dish could cover quite a range.

Only by quickly running through it mentally, Fu Yu had already picked at least over twenty dishes.

Surely he couldn’t suggest the customer order them all at once.

Already more than ten dishes were served.

Thinking about this, Fu Yu said to the girl’s parents, ”Actually, our restaurant has many signature dishes, all with excellent taste. If you’re planning to host friends, I can recommend a few well-reviewed dishes for you...”

The girl’s father interjected, ”No, you don’t quite get it. I’m inviting the friend whose son got admitted to 985 after skipping grades this year. I couldn’t attend their banquet before as I had something going on. Now that their son has come home due to some family affairs, I wanted to take this opportunity to treat them to a meal.”

”Their son is quite picky, but if he enjoys his meal, then the invitation is worth it.”

Fu Yu understood.

This meal was meant to treat the handsome nerdy boy.

The nerdy boy was quite picky, but he enjoyed two of their dishes immensely.

So, the girl’s parents planned to cater to his preferences.

Fu Yu felt a sense of dread.

He was willing to cooperate, but their daughter was unreliable!

Fu Yu stated honestly, ”In our restaurant, dishes similar to what your daughter described number in the dozens. Besides, since your daughter never tasted the dish, we have nothing to use as a reference for cooking.”

Upon hearing Fu Yu’s words, both parents’ faces changed.

If even the chef couldn’t recreate the dish, how could you host this meal properly?

Seeing this, the girl hurriedly said, ”I didn’t taste it then, but as long as the dish is in front of me, I can recognize it!”

Speaking with conviction!

If he hadn’t seen the images in her mind, Fu Yu would have almost believed her.

In the video, the image of the handsome boy continued to enlarge bit by bit.

The neat and tidy hairstyle.

The defined profile.

A light gray sports jacket, his left hand resting on the dining table, wearing a watch on his wrist, holding chopsticks, while the food being half-bitten on the chopsticks, yet the image was becoming blurry.

He wasn’t eating it whole.

Maybe it was because of fish bones, or perhaps just a habit of eating.

For dishes without fish bones, Fu Yu could immediately list over a dozen.

For those with fish bones, Fu Yu could also count over a dozen.

The girl’s words were clearly only for reference.

Fu Yu had to become cautious.
