The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

After three days of close encounters during the holiday, Zhao Meng successfully entered the home and established a romantic relationship with Dai Li.

This was a joyous occasion, and Zhao Meng was cheerfully treated to Lao Liu’s Barbecue by everyone in the back kitchen.

Since Dai Li was also present, everyone was more restrained.

Other than the initial celebratory toast, the focus was on eating, with no excessive drinking or continuing to another venue.

After the gathering ended, Zhao Meng and Dai Li left together.

Fu Yu and Sun Qingning paired up to return to their dormitory.

As they approached the door, Fu Yu pulled out his keys while initiating a teaching practice session.

He pushed open the door and entered the room.

A studio came into view.

Fu Yu smelled a mix of scents, combined with the unique odor of paint.

The scene became increasingly vivid.

In the middle of the room, there were two easels placed one in front of the other.

A chair was positioned in front of the rear easel.

Fu Yu sat down on it.

After an unknown amount of time, Fu Yu finally emerged smoothly from the teaching practice session.

Fu Yu flexed his wrist, and the soreness caused by prolonged gripping of the pen and suspended hand painting, as well as the thick calluses formed on his hand, all disappeared.

Fu Yu felt his fingers, smiling slightly.

It was called a teaching practice session.

But in reality, it was just a space where time could pause.

Others grow stronger with the system directly taking over.

He has to learn step by step, mastering all the skills slowly to get stronger.

Methodically and according to plan.

Fu Yu consoled himself, at least he had solidly acquired the knowledge, which was more reliable and stable than a sudden enlightenment.

Thinking this way, there was a gratifying sense of diligence being rewarded by the heavens.

December 1st.

The three-day rotation of all the staff in the store ended.

On the first day of officially resuming work, after the morning meeting, Yao Shi gathered everyone in the back kitchen to announce news.

”During today’s meeting, the boss announced good news: the renovation of the new store area is more than halfway done, and it is expected to be ready to use before the end of the year!”

This is certainly good news!

When the Dayu Mall renovation is completed, a simple adjustment on our side will expand the store to more than double its size.

Not only new front and back kitchens, but even the staff dormitory is brand new!

”In addition, our recruitment plan for the back kitchen staff has basically been finalized. Two chefs will be joining, and they’ll be arranged to start work before the end of the month.”

”These two chefs are experienced, so when they arrive, everyone’s burdens will be a bit lighter.”

Yao Shi mentioned, particularly looking at Fu Yu and Yao Yihang: ”Recently, due to the temporary addition of the roasting area, there has been a shortage of hands on the red case side, everyone has worked hard. Especially Fu Yu and Xiao Yao, it’s been really tough, and the workload has been enormous.”

”Coincidentally, with the addition of new members, you can also adjust your work accordingly.”

”When the two chefs come over, they will first need to familiarize themselves with the store environment, as per the usual procedure, Chef Zhao and Chef Gu will each mentor one of them.”

The news of two new chefs joining the back kitchen made everyone both excited and a little nervous.

It’s a good thing that business is getting better and better.

With new hands joining, everyone’s burden will be reduced quite a bit.

It’s just that no one knows what kind of personalities these two new chefs have.

Moreover, in the future, the competition for head chef positions will undoubtedly be more intense, right?

Others couldn’t help but steal a glance at Fu Yu and Yao Yihang.

Only to see the two of them smiling, with no way of telling what they were really thinking.

However, for the junior workers, they were quite pleased, as the arrival of chefs means selecting two more helpers from their group.

What a rare opportunity this is!

Everyone’s morale was instantly high.

The atmosphere at Qianlima was full of energy.

Over at the music restaurant, under Chef Chen Chen’s leadership, the learning atmosphere in the roasting area was very strong.

Chen Chen recently became obsessed with the two sauces that Fu Yu once prepared and his grilling techniques, to an irretrievable extent.

With any spare moment, he would delve into studying and pondering the techniques and methods Fu Yu used while grilling.

Previously, when grilling, Chen Chen would let his junior workers take over the task.

Now, he prefers to do it himself.

Finally, he hoped that Fu Yu would come back to help again.

Taking advantage of the afternoon break, Chen Chen hurried to the red case side to invite Fu Yu over.

During this time, there were no orders, so under the guise of adding dishes for the back kitchen, Chen Chen prepared to roast a fresh fish.

After more than a week’s diligent practice, Chen Chen decided to have Fu Yu guide him again.

After all, being prompt in learning and not ashamed to ask someone younger is a virtue.

In the face of culinary advancement, age and status become irrelevant.

Plus, Chen Chen was quite confident in his progress during this time, hopeful even, that he could make Fu Yu see him in a new light, wanting to do a live demonstration of the grilling techniques he had developed.

So, when Fu Yu came over, Chen Chen candidly said: ”Xiaofu, I’ll roast this fish; watch and see if there’s anything lacking in my techniques.”

Fu Yu nodded readily: ”Alright.”

While the junior worker was preparing, Fu Yu couldn’t help but check his task panel.

The task to complete 500 grillings was down to just the last one before he could successfully receive the reward.

Fu Yu was quite interested in that recipe and culinary lexicon.

With just one grilling left, Fu Yu felt quite confident, thinking that unless something unexpected happens, he would undoubtedly complete the task today.

As the junior worker prepped the fish, Chen Chen began grilling it.

Depending on the width of the fish, he first made a cut on its back.

Then, he massaged the fish with salt, ginger powder, cooking wine, and pepper, allowing it to absorb the flavors.

Throughout the process, Chen Chen tried hard to set aside his previous habitual cooking techniques, recalling meticulously the methods Fu Yu used while grilling, and contemplating each step based on the condition of the ingredients.
