The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Fu Yu was originally quite interested in this apartment, so he nodded after hearing their suggestions: ”Alright, I’ll listen to you all, let’s settle this then.”

This guest was someone specifically pointed out by their big boss, and had been hesitating for days, unable to make a decision.

Now finally able to wrap things up, Manager Wang felt greatly relieved and hurriedly said with a smile, ”That’s great, let’s go to my office now and handle the relevant procedures.”

Guo Xinyi’s expression changed again instantly!

She looked at Fu Yu in disbelief, her eyes full of: No way?

Luo Rang also couldn’t help but display surprise, looking at Fu Yu: Damn, you actually know people too!

Manager Wang turned to lead the way: ”Mr. Fu, shall we?”

[Ding! Guo Xinyi’s favorability: -10]

Fu Yu’s expression changed, instinctively looking towards Guo Xinyi.

But the moment their eyes met, Guo Xinyi abruptly turned her gaze away.

Fu Yu felt a bit wronged.

He had wanted to explain several times, but Luo Rang kept interrupting him, not giving him a chance to speak.

But oh well.

Some misunderstandings only get worse with explanations.

Seeing Luo Rang looking at him in surprise, Fu Yu felt a bit embarrassed.

He chuckled awkwardly: ”Well, Chef Luo, I’ll head over first. Let’s have a meal together someday when we have time.”

Fu Yu spoke sincerely.

No matter what, Luo Rang genuinely wanted to help earlier.

Amid his surprise, Luo Rang suddenly realized why Fu Yu had been trying to refuse his help several times earlier.

Turns out, he already had connections ready.

And those connections were even stronger than his.

Thinking about his earlier actions, Luo Rang didn’t actually feel too embarrassed.

His original intent was to use this opportunity to get closer to Fu Yu.

Now, although he didn’t manage to help, he had already expressed his intentions clearly.

Without having to owe any favors, he also managed to make a good impression on Fu Yu.

By all accounts, it was a gain.

Adjusting his expression quickly, Luo Rang laughed and said, ”Alright, you go ahead then.”

Fu Yu greeted Guo Xinyi and Luo Yong again before heading with his parents to the sales manager’s office.

Watching them leave.

Clearly curious, Meng Dan asked Luo Rang quietly, ”What’s your friend’s background? He even got our manager to personally receive him?”

Actually, Luo Rang wasn’t too sure about Fu Yu’s background either.

He had only heard that his family was from out of town and that after graduating from culinary school, he immediately entered Qianlima’s kitchen for an internship through the school.

But as for Fu Yu’s family situation, he wasn’t really clear on it.

Although his parents appeared quite ordinary, in this society, one should never judge a book by its cover.

Besides, even if Fu Yu’s family had no connections, based on the importance placed on him at Qianlima, it’s likely that this matter was handled either by Zhao Meng, Yao Shi, or even the owner of Qianlima, Dong Jun Tian.

Luo Rang had also sought discounts through a favor to buy a house and had asked his own boss, but their boss didn’t have any connections with this community’s developer, which is why he turned to Meng Dan for help.

Luo Rang shook his head and smiled at Meng Dan, ”Alright, since he already has his connections, let’s get our paperwork done quickly too. You’re busy with work; don’t delay the important things.”

Fu Yu and his parents followed the sales manager into the office.

As the sales manager mentioned, everything needed had already been prepared long ago.

The temporary contract was ready, just needing the relevant house data to be filled in, then archived for record.

Previously hearing from Meng Dan about internal discounts, Fu Yu had somewhat prepared himself mentally.

The sales manager said earnestly, ”The boss specifically noted earlier that you are a friend of Mr. Yao, so we will give you a discount. However, because you are purchasing a residential property, the discount won’t match the level for commercial shops. The final approval from the boss was an 85% discount. Please don’t think it’s too little; this discount is the largest we’ve offered since the community’s sales began. Even direct relatives of the boss receive this rate, and it’s not something ordinary people can get...”

When Fu Yu heard he could get an 85% discount, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy!

Wow!

An 85% discount!

That’s nearly 300,000 cheaper!

Originally, he thought his 800,000 would just cover the down payment completely, but now he couldn’t believe he would have some left over.

Fu Yu couldn’t contain his happiness, patiently waiting for the sales manager to finish his enthusiastic explanation before cooperatively completing the procedures.

Walking out with a thin stack of temporary purchase contracts from the manager’s office, Fu Yu still felt a bit unreal.

This, he finished buying the apartment just like that?

He, he actually settled in Bei’an?

It was like a dream!

”Dad, Mom, we have a home in Bei’an now!”

Fu Yu was somewhat excited, turning to look at his parents.

Mr. Fu placed a hand on Fu Yu’s shoulder, chuckling, ”My son is incredible! With just your own strength, you’ve completed the task of three generations directly!”

Mrs. Fu also beamed with joy, ”Son, give me the contract, I need to take a proper look. I was too happy earlier and didn’t carefully check if the house payment is okay?”

Mr. Fu laughed, ”What could be the problem! Didn’t you see the two of them calculating? And it’s all entered into the computer; that’s calculated directly!”

Mrs. Fu finally felt reassured, sneaking an amused glance at Mr. Fu: ”I’m just being cautious! Such a large sum, we might never save up that much in a lifetime; truly, it’s our son who’s amazing!”

Fu Yu chuckled, ”No, no, you brought me into the world well! Thanks to Dad and Mom for raising me so well!”

The three of them praised each other, in the midst of exchanging compliments, Luo Rang came over with Guo Xinyi and Luo Yong quickly.

”Chef Fu!”

Fu Yu was taken aback, turning his head: ”Chef Luo? You’re done as well?”

Luo Rang smiled, ”Yep, picked the house, just paperwork left. You’re done too, right?”

Fu Yu nodded, ”Yep, all done.”

Luo Rang immediately said, ”Then great, let’s have lunch together. Our store is very close, and today is a perfect time with both uncle and aunt here, come try our specialty dishes.”

Fu Yu quickly declined, ”No need, Chef Luo, we...”

Luo Rang grabbed Fu Yu’s arm, smiling at Mr. and Mrs. Fu, ”Uncle, Auntie, I’m the head chef at Four Seas Banquet. Our restaurant is quite famous in Bei’an. Tourists often visit us to taste our dishes. Now that you’ve come from afar, as Chef Fu’s friend, I should treat you. Now’s the perfect chance, so don’t refuse.”

Saying this, Luo Rang led Fu Yu out, ”Alright, it’s just a meal together, and isn’t it mealtime now? Uncle and Auntie rarely come, come try our authentic lamb spine hot pot; it’s a culinary must!”

Luo Rang’s enthusiasm was overwhelming, and Fu Yu, unable to refuse, had no choice but to accept politely.

And Luo Rang was right; Four Seas Banquet’s lamb spine hot pot was indeed famous, something Fu Yu had always wanted to try.
