The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Luo Rang has always been a decisive person. After quickly making up his mind, he smiled and said to Fu Yu, ”Just right, Chef Fu, which house have you set your eyes on? I know their manager, internal people can get discounts.”

Fu Yu was taken aback and hurriedly declined, ”Oh, no need, I...”

”Old Luo!”

Someone walked up beside them, a middle-aged woman who looked to be in her forties, dressed in a set of sales office work clothes, though the style was noticeably different from that of regular sales agents.

Luo Rang turned his head, and immediately waved with a smile.

Luo Rang introduced, ”This is my friend’s spouse, Meng Dan, the manager of the sales office.”

Everyone got acquainted with each other.

Meng Dan, seeing no outsiders around, said quietly, ”I’ve already spoken to our manager. When the time comes, I’ll place the order as if it’s for my own family. Internal price for regular employees is a 2% discount, but I can get a 5% discount. Just keep this to yourselves, don’t spread it outside.”

Luo Rang expressed gratitude, ”Don’t worry, we’re all one family, definitely won’t spread it, thanks a lot.”

Meng Dan chuckled, ”Do we even need to say such words between us?”

Guo Xinyi couldn’t contain her excitement from the moment she heard Meng Dan promise a 5% discount, her joy was hard to suppress.

She didn’t expect Luo Rang to actually find someone he knew, and with such a strong connection, to get a 5% internal price.

This community is currently a hot property.

Rumor has it that many people are trying to connect privately to order a house, but because it’s in high demand, they can’t get any discount at all.

Furthermore, there’s a leader at their tax bureau who’s preparing to buy a marriage house for his child, and he reserved a house here. It’s said he went through lots of connections and finally got a 2% discount. Even so, their leader was still very pleased, showing it off everywhere.

At this moment, Luo Rang suddenly said, ”Oh, by the way, Meng Dan, my friend here also wants to buy a house.”

Meng Dan looked surprised and turned to Fu Yu.

Luo Rang smiled and said, ”Can you help think of a way to get an internal quota?”

Upon hearing this, Fu Yu quickly interjected, ”Chef Luo, no need...”

Luo Rang stopped Fu Yu with a gesture and seriously explained, ”Chef Fu, I’m as close as brothers with Meng Dan’s husband.”

Then he said to Meng Dan, ”Chef Fu is a very close friend of mine. If you can help, please do.”

Meng Dan hesitated, ”Old Luo, this isn’t easy! It’s not that I don’t want to help, it’s just that our boss has strict orders, there are only a few internal quotas available, any more won’t be approved.”

What Meng Dan said was the truth.

Since the community started selling, it has been highly popular.

In just over a week, most of the good spots were already booked, leaving only those reserved by connections or poor locations or too large and expensive premium units.

But even for these, there are frequent inquiries now.

The properties in this community aren’t hard to sell at all.

Just to get a discount quota for Luo Rang, Meng Dan had to turn down requests from two of her friends, that’s because Luo Rang and Meng Dan’s husband have a really strong bond.

Reaching this point, it’s already not easy.

Trying to get another quota is simply out of the question.

Meng Dan looked at Fu Yu, thinking if she could really get another internal quota, she’d have already given it to her own friends.

After all, she and her husband were already being very considerate towards Luo Rang.

As for Luo Rang wanting to do a favor, she would definitely help if the situation allowed.

But for now...

Luo Rang also realized his request was rather difficult.

However, opportunities like this are rare.

After all, it’s easy to help when things are going well, but helping someone in trouble is different.

Right now is a great chance to form a connection with Fu Yu.

Luo Rang wasn’t actually planning to have Meng Dan help Fu Yu get a 5% internal discount.

He knew perfectly well how in-demand the community properties were.

He was just thinking about the ordinary discount mentioned by Meng Dan earlier, even that could save a lot of money.

And since Meng Dan is the manager, there’s a chance she could have a couple of ordinary discount quotas left.

Luo Rang was quite satisfied with Meng Dan’s response and asked accordingly, ”What about an ordinary discount?”

Fu Yu quickly said, ”Chef Luo, no need, actually I...”

Luo Rang interrupted Fu Yu and asked Meng Dan, ”Can you get any quotas?”

Meng Dan felt relieved.

For an ordinary discount, she could indeed arrange it.

However, she could see that Luo Rang valued this friend very much.

Since Luo Rang wanted to make a good impression, she didn’t mind playing along.

Meng Dan made up her mind, still maintaining a troubled expression, ”For an ordinary discount, I still can’t guarantee, mainly because the community properties are highly sought after. The good ones are basically booked, and the remaining are being closely watched, ready to be snapped up at any time. I can only inquire first and try to get another quota if there’s a chance.”

Listening to what Meng Dan said, Luo Rang was almost overjoyed in his heart.

This favor is also about principles, the harder it is to come by, the more precious it is.

Luo Rang immediately said, ”That’s great, Meng Dan, please do your best to help, I...”

”Son!”

Mr. Fu and Mrs. Fu walked over accompanied by the sales manager.

Seeing the manager, Meng Dan hurriedly greeted, ”Manager Wang!”

Manager Wang smiled and nodded.

Meng Dan took a look at the elderly couple being personally attended by Manager Wang and was quite surprised.

Since the community opened for sale, Manager Wang has always been in the office working unless a big client or a close friend of the boss came, only then would Manager Wang personally attend.

But this elderly couple, their dressing seemed quite ordinary.

Yet Luo Rang wanted her help to get an ordinary discount to do a favor.

Even someone as socially adept as Meng Dan was momentarily at a loss about the situation in front of her.

Fu Yu introduced, ”This is Luo Rang, Chef Luo.”

Then he said to Luo Rang, ”These are my parents.”

Luo Rang smiled and greeted, ”Hello, Uncle and Auntie, I’m Luo Rang, Luo Yong’s brother.”

They exchanged a few polite words.

Mrs. Fu said, ”Son, your father and I have decided, let’s go for the house in Building L. Manager Wang makes sense, buying a house isn’t a small matter, better to do it right the first time, save future regrets.”

Manager Wang also smiled and said, ”The house in Building L, whether in location or layout, is indeed the best. Other units on the same floor aren’t for sale, all are considered sold. It’s only because you came over that we’re taking this one out for you to choose.”
