The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

The lamb soup at Four Seas Banquet is quite affordable.

A wide-rimmed deep bowl, steaming hot when placed on the table, accompanied by a dish of specially prepared seasonings.

The middle-aged man leaned forward for a look.

The lamb soup was bright in color, milky white, filled with slices of mutton and offal, topped with a small heap of chopped scallions and cilantro, undisturbed.

For those who don’t like it, a single scoop can take it all out.

Moreover, the accompanying dish contained neatly cut scallions and cilantro.

The middle-aged man’s eyes lit up, and he took the spoon with interest.

”No dietary restrictions, right?”

His two companions shook their heads: ”No, just eat normally.”

Only then did the middle-aged man stir the cilantro and scallions floating on the soup with the spoon.

The mutton and offal from the bottom were cut evenly, akin to being precisely dissected.

At a glance, the middle-aged man couldn’t help but praise, ”The chef’s knife skills are truly superb! Just look at how these are sliced; it’s definitely the work of a master chef.”

He ladled a bowl of lamb soup for himself, with both mutton and offal, and tasted it first.

The original soup, with no added seasonings, carried a rich mutton aroma, substantial and authentic in flavor.

He added some salt, pepper, stirred it evenly, then took another sip; it was fresh and rich in taste.

Added some freshly fried chili oil, and the flavor was simply outstanding...

”This is the taste!”

The middle-aged man slurped two sips in succession, showing a satisfied expression.

It’s been years since he had such authentic lamb soup!

The mutton was incredibly tender, the offal perfectly heated, and the lamb soup was brewed just right.

”White as milk, the liquid and fat merge, pure in texture, fresh without the gamey odor, savory without being greasy, tender without being sticky!”

”This lamb soup is truly authentic!”

A bowl of hot lamb soup downed, the middle-aged man felt utterly refreshed.

The ingredients for the lamb soup at Four Seas Banquet were substantial; the fatty parts gleamed with fat, and the lean parts blushed with red, far from the corner-cutting methods of ordinary lamb soup restaurants.

Tripe could be chewed slowly, the eye socket meat was as soft as mud, the fat leaves had a chewy texture, and the heart tube was fresh and crisp.

The whole bowl of soup was neither gamey nor greasy, not sticky nor oily, uniquely flavorful.

The two companions also found it quite good.

”Their lamb soup is really quite good, different from those outside.”

The middle-aged man smiled and said, ”It’s really hard to find such authentic flavors nowadays.”

While chatting and laughing, the bit of dissatisfaction he initially had completely vanished.

It is said that good food can heal all, and the middle-aged man felt this deeply.

At the same time, in the Four Seas Banquet kitchen.

Fu Yu took off his apron and chef’s jacket, received a tissue handed by the helper, and wiped the sweat from his forehead and temples.

Master Sun gratefully said, ”Chef Fu, today was all thanks to you. Without you here, I don’t know how chaotic it would have been!”

Fu Yu chuckled and said, ”Just happened to be here, Master Sun, you continue working, we’ll be off now.”

Mr. Fu and Mrs. Fu were still waiting to dine in the front hall, and he and Luo Rang had come to the kitchen for half an hour without returning, leaving the elders quite possibly wondering.

Master Sun knew this and didn’t insist they stay, happily exchanged contact information with Fu Yu: ”Let’s go out for a meal sometime in the future!”

Fu Yu was quite pleased.

Having more friends opens more paths, a universally applied guideline in the workplace.

As Fu Yu walked out with Luo Rang, the server returned, a straightforward girl who couldn’t hold back what was on her mind.

As soon as she entered, she happily reported: ”Customers are particularly satisfied with the freshly roasted lamb spine and lamb soup, praising our chef’s skills, calling it authentic!”

Master Sun, hearing this, finally breathed a sigh of relief!

”As long as they’re satisfied!”

Upon hearing these words, everyone around finally relaxed as well.

Alright, this hurdle was cleared.

Hardship is no fear, only afraid of being nitpicked!

The service industry is just like that.

Encounter a picky customer, you have to find a way to solve their issues.

As long as you don’t lose money, there’s no reason not to do it!

A picky person you serve well for the first time might become a big client in the future!

This source of customers is now secured.

Thank heavens!

As the person who handled the situation, Fu Yu left a deep impression on everyone in the roasting section of Four Seas Banquet.

Luo Rang smiled at Fu Yu: ”Let’s go, the dishes should be about ready now.”

Fu Yu smiled, leaving the kitchen with Luo Rang.

Near the private room door, Fu Yu suddenly heard an electronic notification in his ear:

[Ding! NPC Master Chef Luo Rang’s task: Successfully roast authentic plain lamb spine, satisfying the customer, completed successfully, reward: Upgraded Artisan Badge. A key to the Drawing Technique Teaching Practical Classroom.]

Fu Yu’s pace paused, then quickly returned to normal.

Without checking the reward, as soon as he entered the door, his parents pulled him in concern and asked: ”What took you so long? The dishes are already served.”

Before Fu Yu could reply, Luo Rang smilingly explained the course of events.

Mr. and Mrs. Fu listened, feeling a sense of pride.

Mrs. Fu chuckled and said: ”So that’s how it was, your father and I were saying that something must have happened since it took so long.”

Luo Rang said: ”Luckily, Chef Fu was there, or this order might have been canceled.”

Mr. Fu nodded immediately: ”As long as we could help!”

Luo Rang filled his cup, toasting Fu Yu: ”Thank you for today!”

The two exchanged smiles.

This friendship was formally established.

Last night, accompanying his parents discussing house matters late into the night, thinking about finally settling in Bei’an, too excited to sleep.

During the day at the sales office, racking his brains over the house purchase, not eating a drop, and now after delaying mealtime by nearly an hour.

Finally able to eat now, looking at the steaming hot lamb spine pot, Fu Yu’s appetite reawakened.

”Try it, this is our restaurant’s specialty, both red and clear soup are great!”

Luo Rang jovially invited others to eat, eagerly picked up his chopsticks, and joined the tasting.

Fu Yu and Luo Rang both had a habit from their profession of eating fast.

Once they began, all else was forgotten, indulging in the meal.

Once their stomachs felt full, they finally took a breath and slowed down.

What a treat!

It’s undeniable; the lamb spine pot at Four Seas Banquet is truly delicious!

Luo Rang wiped his mouth with a tissue, smilingly asked: ”Chef Fu, how is it?”

Fu Yu nodded: ”Definitely worth a try.”

Mrs. Fu turned to Fu Yu, unable to resist advising: ”Son, eat slowly, chew carefully to aid digestion!”

Fu Yu, already half full, happily complied, smiling as he replied: ”Okay, I know.”
