The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 558: Chapter 558: Hostage

Hua Yuanming asked incredulously, ”Third Brother, they forced his sister to death, how can you turn weapons into jade and silk? Clearly, they are bullying us with their power, so why should we swallow our anger?”

Gu Hongxin quickly gave him a look, signaling him not to say more for the moment, and then looked earnestly at the Brocade Young Master.

Although they had fought, they only fought the servants of this Brocade Young Master, so it wasn’t a life-and-death conflict. Moreover, the other party forced the death of the young man with thick eyebrows’ sister and now have beaten him to a pulp, leaving him barely alive. Yet, he still spoke so smoothly, not to mention that the other party has seen their strength, the Brocade Young Master has no reason to continue this entanglement.

However, the Brocade Young Master arrogantly spit, looked down at them, and said disdainfully, ”Turn weapons into jade and silk, does he deserve it?” He turned his head to the elderly servant standing by his side and said, ”Old Man Zhang, I want their lives!”

Gu Hongxin was stunned. The Brocade Young Master’s personality was so arrogant, even though they were at a disadvantage, and he saw with his own eyes how he and Second Brother Hua defeated these seven people, he still wanted an old man to take their lives!

Arrogant, conceited, cruel, cold-blooded, treating human life like grass!

He couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger. Even if he wanted to let things go by considering the situation, the other party was relentless, and he had a sense of honor!

Hua Yuanming was even angrier, pointing at the Brocade Young Master and cursing, ”You already have a life on your hands, how many more do you want? Do you really think we are easy to bully?”

The Brocade Young Master ignored them and said, ”Old Man Zhang, do it!”

Old Man Zhang’s aura suddenly surged. Though he appeared to be a humble, meek old servant, now when he raised his eyes, there was a chilling fierceness within them that made anyone who looked feel cold to the core.

It turned out that this old man was a master.

The old man quickly engaged with the two, and as they crossed moves, both their expressions turned serious. First-class High Tier!

Such skills would make one an influential figure in the Jianghu, though not quite at the Village Chief’s Super First-class, but the two of them were at First-class Middle Tier.

Even though there was only a tier difference, a First-class High Tier could easily handle two First-class Middle Tier fighters.

The servants around the Brocade Young Master had average martial arts skills, but who knew he would have such a master by his side? No wonder he didn’t run when his servants were beaten back earlier. He was fearless!

What they thought would be a simple act of helping out turned into a tough battle?

Old Man Zhang should also have just reached First-class High Tier, but he wielded a sword that could cut iron like mud, which further enhanced his fighting power.

Watching the trio get entangled in a fight, the Brocade Young Master’s mouth curled up in a cruel smile; it seemed those who dared meddle in his affairs had grown tired of living!

Fortunately, Hua Yuanming and Gu Hongxin were from Haotian Village, who often sparred, so their martial arts moves were well-coordinated. Now, two against one, they were not at a disadvantage.

The seven servants who had been knocked down had already gotten up. They stood by the Brocade Young Master, cheering for Old Man Zhang.

Very soon, fifty moves had passed, then seventy moves...

Initially, the two thought that Old Man Zhang, given his age, would soon exhaust his strength, but surprisingly, he fought with increasing vigor, showing no signs of fatigue. At this rate, not only couldn’t they save the person, but even the two of them might fall here.

The two exchanged glances and quickly understood each other’s intention. Hua Yuanming shouted, and the sword in his hand danced like a myriad of flowers, weaving into a web, launching a fierce attack on Old Man Zhang. The sword in Gu Hongxin’s hand also brought up a stream of sword light, ignoring their own safety as if determined to perish together with Old Man Zhang!

Faced with such an intense offensive, Old Man Zhang couldn’t help but take two steps back. At this moment, Gu Hongxin touched the ground, his body tilted as if attacking Old Man Zhang, but then pounced towards the Brocade Young Master.

Old Man Zhang’s eyes focused, and he shouted, ”Protect the young master!”

He was entangled by Hua Yuanming’s desperate entanglement, and though he knew the two were using a decoy tactic, he couldn’t assist in time.

Upon hearing his shout, the seven servants hurried to intercept, but how could they be a match for Gu Hongxin? The Brocade Young Master, seeing things were going south, turned to flee.

However, before he had run a few steps, he felt a chill on his neck. A sword was pressing down on his shoulder, and a voice shouted, ”Don’t move!”

The Brocade Young Master dared not move. Gu Hongxin shouted, ”Tell your people to stop, or I’ll kill you!”

The Brocade Young Master hastily said, ”Old Man Zhang, stop, stop!”

With his young master in their hands, Old Man Zhang dared not act rashly and retracted his sword, stepping back.

Gu Hongxin grabbed the Brocade Young Master’s arm with one hand and wielded the sword in the other, moving together with the Brocade Young Master towards Hua Yuanming, who moved to support the young man with thick eyebrows.

Gu Hongxin said, ”I have no intention to harm anyone, and I only resorted to this as a last resort! We’ll take this person, but we won’t harm him at all. We’ll release him as soon as we’re in a safe place!”

Hua Yuanming, carrying the young man with thick eyebrows, and Gu Hongxin, escorting the Brocade Young Master, retreated.

Old Man Zhang stepped forward, and Gu Hongxin pressed down hard, causing the Brocade Young Master’s shoulder to sink, while shouting, ”You all stay where you are! If you move, I can’t guarantee the safety of your young master!”

The Brocade Young Master was also terrified, quickly saying, ”Old Man Zhang, don’t come forward!”

Old Man Zhang’s eyes filled with a cold, murderous aura, but with his young master in their hands, he had to reluctantly stop in his tracks.

Very soon, Hua Yuanming and the other three were lost in the alley. Old Man Zhang hurried to chase in the direction they left but only found a maze of alleys, not knowing which path they had taken.

Old Man Zhang’s face was dark, unable to let out his rage. Meanwhile, Hua Yuanming and Gu Hongxin were also depressed. They had initially thought of doing a righteous deed, but they couldn’t defeat the other side, only managing to leave by taking a hostage.

Both Hua Yuanming and Gu Hongxin felt quite embarrassed!

They haphazardly ran for a while, no one following behind them, temporarily ensuring safety.

Gu Hongxin sheathed his sword, saying to the Brocade Young Master, ”I said I wouldn’t harm you, you can leave now. Just remember, I didn’t not kill you because I couldn’t, but because I don’t want to stain my hands with blood. It’s best you drop the matter, or the consequences will be beyond my control!”

The Brocade Young Master said, ”I understand, I won’t pursue it, definitely won’t pursue it!”

Seeing the Brocade Young Master intimidated by his sword, quite aware of current affairs, Gu Hongxin felt slightly relieved.

I just hope this matter ends here without causing any trouble.

He hurried to catch up with Hua Yuanming and the other. Though the young man with thick eyebrows was severely beaten, it was nothing but flesh wounds, and his broken arm was set back, he said, ”There’s a courtyard over there, it’s my friend’s. Let’s hide there!”
