The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 131: Chapter 128: Clues Converge at Midnight

”Moreover, Wu Juan also mentioned something else: once while working at the construction site, Liu Jun suddenly groped her from behind.”

”And that scene happened to be seen by her husband, Chen Feng.”

”At that time, her husband Chen Feng was particularly furious and went to cause trouble for Liu Jun.”

”Fortunately, others pulled him away, preventing a fight from happening.”

At this point, Li Jian raised an eyebrow.

He increasingly felt that Chen Feng’s suspicion was growing.

Then, Chen He continued, ”As for Liu Jun’s death, Wu Juan was unaware.”

”When we mentioned that Liu Jun was dead, Wu Juan was very surprised.”

”And according to her, Chen Feng hadn’t mentioned Liu Jun in front of her for the past three months.”

”Has Wu Juan been at home these past few months?”

”Yes!”

”After the incident with Liu Jun’s advances, her husband Chen Feng kept Wu Juan at home to take care of the children and never went out to work again.”

After a brief pause, Li Jian asked, ”Jiang An, how is your side of the investigation going?”

Jiang An replied, ”Today, my mentor and I investigated all major comprehensive and specialized hospitals in the city.”

”We found that the deceased Liu Jun had multiple continuous outpatient treatments for sexually transmitted diseases at Jiangcheng Male Reproductive Hospital six months ago.”

”Was it really syphilis?”

Wan asked curiously.

Jiang An nodded.

”According to his attending physician, Yang Ting, Liu Jun came for his first visit with a woman.”

”Can Yang Ting remember what that woman looked like?”

Jiang An shook his head.

”We asked about that at the time.”

”Unfortunately, she doesn’t remember.”

Li Jian asked, ”After all this time, can Dr. Yang still remember Liu Jun visiting the clinic?”

Jiang An answered, ”The reason Yang Ting remembers so well is that Liu Jun insisted each time that he had never been involved with disreputable women.”

”Every time he came to the clinic, he’d ask the doctor how he could have gotten infected.”

”That’s also why Dr. Yang has a strong impression of him.”

Li Jian lit a cigarette.

”After so much time has passed, the surveillance footage is probably unclear.”

Jiang An replied, ”We learned that Jiangcheng Male Reproductive Hospital’s surveillance is kept for five months, so we can’t determine the woman’s appearance from it.”

After the summary of the investigation from the third group, Li Jian nodded.

He said, ”The situation isn’t clear yet.”

”Everyone, please speak your mind, feel free to share your thoughts.”

”I have always believed that until the case is solved, anything people say could become the truth.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Chen He chimed in, ”Then I’ll go first and break the ice.”

Li Jian nodded. ”Mr. Chen, go ahead?”

”I was also involved in this case of death by fall three months ago.”

”I was indeed very surprised by the change in the nature of the case.”

”However, this precisely shows that the work back then wasn’t detailed, in-depth, or comprehensive enough.”

”Today, after investigating at Wu Juan’s home, based on my personal criminal investigation experience, I judged that Wu Juan was very worried that her husband Chen Feng had a dispute or physical contact with Song Can over debt collection.”

”In fact, when we found Wu Juan, her first reaction was to worry that Chen Feng had done something illegal.”

”Also, from my observations, Wu Juan seemed to be telling the truth.”

”She was completely unaware of Liu Jun’s death.”

”However, from the overall view of the case, I think Chen Feng has a strong motive.”

”After all, having one’s wife groped in broad daylight is a severe blow to any man’s dignity.”

”So, at present, I think it’s entirely possible to list Chen Feng as a key suspect.”

After hearing this, Li Jian nodded slightly.

”What you said just now, Mr. Chen, makes a lot of sense.”

Then Wan also spoke up, ”Li Jian, Mr. Chen, let me share my immature insight.”

”Go ahead?”

Wan was a bit excited.

”Just now, Jiang An mentioned that the deceased Liu Jun had a sexually transmitted disease. Could this case be related to that?”

”I once came across a case where a sexually transmitted disease between two people led to injury and murder.”

”So, in this case, is it possible that Liu Jun transmitted the disease to Chen Feng’s wife?”

”Then, in his anger, Chen Feng caused him trouble and killed him.”

As he spoke, he glanced at Chen He and asked, ”Mr. Chen, does Wu Juan have an STD?”

”We haven’t investigated that yet, but it can be confirmed through hospital tests.”

”And in broad daylight, when Chen Feng saw his wife being harassed, which man could tolerate that?”

”Chen Feng initially diverted conflict and attention, deliberately leading us to focus on Song Can.”

”At that time, I remember he outwardly wanted a raise, but in reality, he was misleading our investigation.”

Li Jian nodded.

The process of questioning Chen Feng at Jiangtai Construction Site flashed through his mind.

Chen Feng was the first to be questioned and was very proactive.

Finally, Wan said in a deep voice, ”So, my view is somewhat similar to Mr. Chen’s.”

”I believe Chen Feng is the suspect in this case.”

”Li Jian, those are my immature views.”

”Any shortcomings, please feel free to criticize and guide me, Mr. Li and Mr. Chen.”
