Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 442: The Alien Battlefield and Vice Commander

Whoosh!

The world around Grey blurred once again as the gigantic spaceship was flung directly into the spatial fissure.

The void turned blindingly bright before absolutely everything returned to normal. But now, the endless sprawling city was completely replaced by a radiant golden world. Within this golden realm, there were many layered castles that possessed a highly advanced technological feel.

There was a colossal main castle situated in the dead center, with several others orbiting its sides. They might have looked small compared to the central structure, but that was strictly because the main castle was gigantic to the point that even the massive outer castles looked tiny in comparison.

The exact instant the spaceship safely landed inside the secret realm containing the main castle, several streams of divine consciousness came rushing toward the vessel with immense speed.

The heavy mental pressure came crashing directly down onto Grey.

Somewhere far away, two old men were casually playing checkers.

”Elder Rigard. It looks like the Lost Heir is finally here,” an old man chuckled playfully as he slowly rubbed his long beard.

”Do you think I cannot tell?” Elder Rigard snorted softly.

”Sigh... with the Lost Heir here, things will definitely become much more lively within the Arclight family.”

”I just hope that these ambitious kids will not kill each other for the throne of the Patriarch.”

”Hahaha! Kill?” Rigard looked directly at the speaking elder with a proud smile. ”The eldest, Jeremiah, is currently dominating the Alien Battlefield, fiercely forging a bloody path for the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance. He is a true dragon among men. He fearlessly leads several hundred thousand elite soldiers into cosmic battle. I like that kid a lot.”

”He is undeniably the absolute pride of the Arclight family.”

”Indeed, he is,” Elder Joseph chuckled in agreement. ”But who knows? Maybe the brand new heir will also make massive waves across the Human Alliance.”

”Him?” Rigard looked sharply at his peer. ”What exactly do you mean, Elder Joseph? Do you honestly think a person who is not even close to the 5th Rank will suddenly be able to cause a huge commotion?”

”I do not know. But do you vividly remember the ancient tales of the Milky Way Galaxy?”

”Yes...”

”It is deeply related to the very origin of the universe.”

”I know.”

”And you, out of absolutely everyone, should know the true hidden reason for the spatial turbulence isolating the Milky Way.”

”It is strictly because of the Chaos Seal, right?”

”Well, that is what everyone publicly says,” Elder Joseph said smoothly as he confidently moved his piece forward and secured a checkmate.

”Good play,” Rigard said as he looked up from the board. ”I am still pretty sure that it is the Chaos Seal, though.”

”It is related to the Chaos Seal for sure. The turbulence and the Chaos Seal possess incredibly close cosmic ties.”

”That is exactly what I came to know after secretly listening in on a private conversation involving Little Anderson.”

”Stop calling him Little Anderson. He is already vastly stronger than you,” Elder Rigard said with chuckled.

”He still used to be our little nephew. Now he is the supreme Patriarch,” Elder Joseph said with a heavy sigh. ”And speaking of which. Do we finally know where our elusive brother went?”

”Who knows? Him, his offspring, and their own offspring are all a bit strange. We will never truly know what might happen with that bloodline.”

”We were exactly three siblings at first, and one out of us turned out to be completely strange. Then, he also had three offspring, and one of his sons, Anderson also turned out to be highly strange.”

”And now, with Anderson having offspring of his own, there is also a strange anomaly among them, and that is Juli. But this time, instead of three, he had exactly four offspring. The eldest is Jeremiah, the middle is Jason, the former youngest is Juli, and now the Lost Heir has returned, who is barely seventeen years old.”

”It is highly interesting,” Rigard commented thoughtfully.

”Our missing brother is the sole reason the Arclight family originally rose to such staggering prosperity, and only Anderson knows where he actually is. But he stubbornly refuses to tell us, his own uncles.”

”We are way past the age to stress about all that matters,” Rigard said with a dismissive sigh. ”Do you want to go cosmic fishing later?”

”Sure.”

”We will definitely go right after seeing the tournament, with all the rival heirs finally coming back, it should be fun this time around with other geniuses coming as well.”

....

In a brutal domain located light-years away, a scarred expanse stretching across several hundred star systems served as the ultimate meat grinder. Endless space fleets and terrifying cosmic monsters roamed the devastated void.

This was the infamous Alien Battlefield, the absolute frontline where the myriad races of the starry sky viciously duked it out for galactic supremacy.

Beyond the secure borders of the Human Alliance lay the chaotic Alien Zones. Here, multiple extraterrestrial races gathered. Some were tightly allied with humanity in the desperate hope of fighting off hostile predators, while other enemy races banded together strictly to halt the Human Alliance’s relentless expansion.

Deep within the most active sector of the battlefield, a highly imposing figure floated calmly in the starry sky. He was a burly youth clad in battle-scarred, high-tier military armor, possessing a sharp, unyielding gaze that practically pierced the void. This was Jeremiah Arclight, the absolute pride of his family.

Directly in front of him, several grotesque, octopus-like alien monstrosities suddenly materialized. They all radiated a sickening, dark aura that polluted the surrounding space.

”5th Rankers. Every single one of them,” the burly youth, Jeremiah Arclight, muttered as he looked completely indifferently at the towering monsters.

Then, his sharp eyes suddenly shone with a terrifying, absolute light. Without him even needing to lift a single finger, the surrounding space violently collapsed, and the grotesque aliens were instantly minced into a bloody mist within mere seconds.

”Exactly as expected from you, Jeremiah,” a powerful voice suddenly boomed from high above.

Jeremiah looked up and saw a massive cosmic figure securely appearing in the orbit. The oppressive aura it exhibited flawlessly belonged to a supreme 6th Rank expert.

”Commander Mao,” Jeremiah acknowledged respectfully.

”I will completely take it from here. You must be deeply exhausted, Jeremiah. Go back to the main battalion and take a proper rest. Someone from the Arclight family is also here to actively see you.”

”Got it,” Jeremiah nodded. He calmly took a glowing stone out of his armored pocket. It was heavily coated in dense spatial power.

This was a highly rare Spatial Stone that securely allowed for forced, instantaneous teleportation.

Whoosh!

Jeremiah’s armored figure vanished from the bloody void and instantly arrived inside one of the massive fleets hovering safely in the sky. This was one of the primary human battalions actively stationed in the Alien Battlefield.

As soon as he stepped foot on the deck, the rest of the battle-hardened soldiers in the fleet immediately stopped whatever they were doing and snapped into a flawless salute, their eyes filled with absolute respect.

”We welcome Vice-Commander Jeremiah back!”

The veteran soldiers all looked at Jeremiah with deep reverence.

Usually, the prestigious Vice-Commander title was something only a seasoned veteran at the Origin Seed Realm could possibly achieve. But Jeremiah had successfully earned it long before ever reaching that state, simply because his combat talent was just that terrifyingly monstrous.

Jeremiah politely ignored the loud praises and the highly respectful gazes. He walked directly into his private quarters. As soon as the heavy metal doors hissed shut, he saw a well-kept, elegant lady with striking green hair and sharp glasses waiting for him in a pristine military uniform.

The exact moment he arrived, the elegant lady stood up rigidly and spoke a single, heavy sentence. ”The Lost Heir is finally back.”

”And the Patriarch has officially called you back to the main planet to formally meet the Lost Heir, and also to prepare for the upcoming tournament.”

”Hmm,” Jeremiah hummed deeply, a highly thoughtful, calculating look slowly forming on his sharp face.
