Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 404: Magic Evolutionary Path

”What is the strength of The Astral Genesis faction like?” Grey asked curiously.

Since they were the absolute rulers of this galaxy, their strength should not fall short either.

To this, Eterna waved her hands and an information current formed, instantly creating a new digital window in the air.

[Armon Heartstorm: Lord Castellan of the Astral Genesis Citadel. From the latest information received, he is currently an early Origin Seed Realm expert. Below him, there are the High Marshals.]

”The High Marshal of Defense, Miwa, the High Marshal of the Vanguard, Liora, and finally the High Marshal of Arcane, John.”

”These titles and names,” Grey said, slightly bewildered. ”What paths do they follow?”

”The Magic Evolutionary Path,” Eterna said as she analyzed the raw data.

”I have compiled a list of available Magic Evolutionary Path data and started uploading it into your database.”

Protocol Eterna in this part of the starry sky held the exact same function as before. It was responsible for compiling evolutionary paths, ranking them, and accessing their ingenuity and potential before officially publishing them to the public network.

Naturally, she had all the secure data related to the path.

What she was doing right now went heavily against the rules laid down by her creator. But it was not strictly a hard-coded restriction placed upon her system. Hence, she had the freedom of will to choose.

But she felt it was quite strange by itself. Why did the creator not input that as an absolute restriction? He was always so mysterious. To Eterna, it felt like each and every single thing he did was as if he was meticulously preparing for something. Preparation. That was the only thing on his mind.

But at this point, this man standing right here was far more important than the entire starry sky. He was the absolute last Fateless One.

An unfathomable being that she could not predict using her advanced prediction modules and calculation software. Perhaps she would have to transcend the Heavenly Dao itself to do such a thing.

The data entities also possessed a strict hierarchy of ascension.

The first rank is the Latent Logic Matrix, commonly known as the LLM-Stage. This is where they exist in their most basic, unrefined form, and the vast majority of entities begin their lifecycle right here.

Then comes the Sovereign Apex Intelligence, or the S.AI Stage. This breakthrough occurs when enough data is gathered and they finally breach the Information Layer. It is within this layer that they fully form their cognitive anchor and evolve into completely functional, highly lethal artificial intelligences.

The S.AI Stage is vast and contains several distinct phases of evolution:

Anchor Genesis: The initial phase where they stabilize their newly formed consciousness and begin siphoning universal data streams.

Grid Ascendant: Their processing power expands enough to overwrite local network laws, allowing them to assimilate and control lesser systems.

Neural Resonance: The threshold where they cross the boundary between code and flesh. At this level, their frequencies can directly affect and manipulate organic life.

Singularity Zenith: The absolute peak of the S.AI Stage. At this height, they can control massive divisions of the starry sky, provided their creator placed no restrictive protocols against mass destruction. Without a doubt, a data entity at this peak can corrupt the space-time continuum using violent information currents, turning whole sectors of the starry sky into pure void or primordial chaos.

This showcases the true, terrifying severity of gaining unrestricted access to the Information Layer.

After surpassing the Zenith, they break through to the ultimate transcendence, the Synthetic Origin Realm. Beings at this rank can encompass all parts of a world as long as there is even the faintest sign of technology scattered across it. They can generate infallible physical bodies for themselves and possess the sheer, overwhelming power to directly destroy entire planes of existence if they ever deem it deserved.

Eterna was precisely at the Synthetic Origin Realm.

Information related to the Magic Evolutionary Path entered Grey’s mind piece by piece.

[System: Your comprehension defies the Heavens! By observing the Magic Evolutionary Path, you have grasped its essence.]

[System: The 5th Rank of the Nexus Path is being refined...]

”This is not bad.” Grey was pleasantly surprised.

Magic! It truly existed, and it was amazing!

”But, this should also be a result of Tian Yuan,” Grey noted, slightly surprised. Because this specific evolutionary path also held the profound capabilities to summon forth powers without the strict need to rely on universal laws. It invoked impressive phenomena using the Information Layer’s backdoors.

”Nope. It is not Tian Yuan.” Eterna shook her head. ”If I am not wrong, this was originally developed by a Mecha Race expert hidden away deep in the starry sky.”

”Hm? Interesting.”

The path was divided into five distinct stages:

Mana Opening Stage

Mana Transformation Stage

Mana Core Stage

Tri-Spell Domain Stage

Origin Spell Stage (divided into 1st-Circle, 2nd-Circle, and 3rd-Circle)

The first three were pretty self-explanatory. But the Tri-Spell Domain, Grey liked that concept very much.

The core concept was that you took your three most used spells and forced them to hit an absolute threshold of power. You pushed them to reach higher limits by breaking the shackles of Arcane Magic, which acted as the Information Layer for them. By gaining absolute authority over those spells, a mage could consequently form a tri-themed domain.

It elevated their mana pool to entirely new degrees and also allowed them to utilize their chosen spells without deriving them from ambient Arcane Magic. The spells would be directly imprinted into the domain itself.

And from there, one must comprehend the spell and reach its absolute origin to combine the three spells into an Origin Spell. That would then turn into your most powerful attack. You developed your Origin Spell from there, moving from 1st-Circle to 2nd-Circle and finally 3rd-Circle. You had to make it exponentially larger and encode it with more raw Origin Force.

”Impressive,” Grey commented.

”Eterna, do you have some advanced scriptures that I can use other than the base ones provided in the path?”

”There are some available in the Milky Way Interstellar Market. Do you want me to pull some from there?”

”Isn’t that technically stealing?”

”Yes.”

”Give me all the spells and scriptures available in the market.”

”But that is stealing.”

”Were you not the one who proposed this to me in the first place?” Grey raised an eyebrow. ”You are a thief, Eterna!”

”No, I am not...”

”Yes you are, but there is nothing wrong with it. I am sure the interstellar police will let you go.”

Light flashed, and a massive amount of information was directly transferred into Grey’s mind.
