Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 406: reaction of the milky way galaxy

By the time Grey arrived back at the Crimson Core Planet, the entire Milky Way Galaxy had been thrown into an absolute frenzy following the sudden reveal of the Nexus Path, which was currently disguised under the name of the Aether Evolutionary Path.

The cosmic internet was exploding.

Why? Because the official evolutionary rankings had updated for the first time in eons, and the top five were no longer the same!

Immortal, Martial, Esper, Magic, and Bloodline.

These were the original top five paths. But now, sitting firmly above the Immortal Path in the number one spot was an entirely new entry.

The Aether Evolutionary Path.

Nobody knew where it came from. It had just randomly spawned in without any prior notice or grand announcements.

And considering this ranking was directly managed by Eterna, absolutely nobody doubted its authenticity. It was, after all, the supreme AI being that managed all of the galaxy and kept it under the strict control of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance despite the sector being completely cut off from the main part of the starry sky due to the chaotic turbulence.

”I have been enlightened! Everyone, check out the 4th Rank Chapter of the path!”

”What about it?”

”It is called the Tribulation Realm! But what I noticed was that it has absolutely nothing to do with heavily refining your domain!”

”Nothing to do with the domain? How is that even mathematically possible? The 4th Rank is strictly where Evolvers focus entirely on their domain in hopes of forming a true Origin Core. How can that entire foundational part just be skipped?”

Skepticism was incredibly quick to spread.

Immediately, people began to loudly voice their varying opinions and doubts one by one on the public forums.

But soon, a recognized expert arrived.

”Everyone, I am Fu Hua. I am an expert in analyzing evolutionary paths. I have already gathered enough intelligence related to the new path. What the other fellow Evolver said is the absolute truth.”

”The 4th Rank does not follow our usual mainstream ways. In fact, this path does not follow anything of the mainstream structure at all.”

”It is a completely reformed path with significantly fewer micro-levels and a vastly higher raw power output. It is incredible. A 4th Ranker in this path could easily fight a 5th Ranker on equal footing.”

”Huh?” The entire internet was completely dumbfounded.

”How is that even possible?”

”You must have made some sort of calculation mistake.”

”No matter what, the sheer chasm between the 4th and 5th Rank is astronomical. How can someone in the 4th Rank of that path easily fight a 5th Ranker?”

For a split second, everyone became incredibly confused.

Six micro-levels, a 4th Rank that did not hyper-focus on the domain, and most importantly, it could fight directly against a 5th Ranker? It sounded entirely too good to be true, right?

”In short, the first three realms are very streamlined. You gather base power at the 1st Rank. Then, at the 2nd Rank, known as the Shattering Realm, you physically shatter all three aspects of your existence simultaneously to forcefully strengthen them in perfect balance. You then form three golden aspects: the Golden Dao Bone, the Golden Sea of Consciousness, and the Golden Core. Once they are successfully created, you officially undergo a series of transformations, eventually reaching the legendary Space Transformation. Once you reach this specific level, you directly obtain the ability to form stable sub-dimensions, meaning the very next step is instinctively creating a domain.”

”Meaning, you already create your base domain at the 3rd Rank of the path. The creator brilliantly made it in such a way that you automatically strengthen and passively develop your domain force while you are actively undergoing the trials of the Tribulation Realm.”

”The Tribulation Stage is ingeniously developed in such a way that while you are enduring the heavenly tribulations, it brings about a massive, qualitative leap to your energy, mind, and physical body. It permanently unlocks your hidden potential, all while your domain gets passively buffed by the sheer pressure of the tribulation power.”

”The creator’s intention here is incredibly clear. They wanted this path to equally strengthen everything. All the unique powers you already had prior to converting will, without a doubt, get exponentially buffed.”

”It is a miraculous path. It thoroughly deserves the place it holds in the number one spot right now.”

”If possible, if not for me already being completely locked into the Origin Seed Realm, I would have already shifted my path to the Aether Path without a second thought.”

”And that is not even the most important, revolutionary thing about this path.”

”From Eterna’s official description, I have understood that this path utilizes a special energy known as Aether Energy, which is a vastly superior form of energy compared to spiritual energy, mana, the life energy of a martial artist, or the blood evolutionary power of a bloodline warrior. It has a direct, highly corrosive cleansing effect on active corruption fields.”

The internet immediately went completely wild.

Fu Hua.

She was an elite part of the Oblivion Star Empire. She was widely known as one of the major experts of theoretical evolutionary paths.

With her explicitly verifying the data, the vast majority were instantly sold.

And having heard about it possessing a direct, positive effect on cleansing corruption fields, the people who were still skeptical were quickly abandoning their doubts.

”Everyone, I have a 4th Rank Evolutionary Stone with me. I am changing my path to the Aether Path immediately!”

”Count me in, brother. My heart now firmly belongs to the Aether Evolutionary Path.”

One by one, the cosmic internet completely exploded. Absolutely everyone wanted a piece of the Aether Evolutionary Path that had suddenly descended from the heavens.

Everyone was incredibly eager to test out its fabled powers against the deadly corruption fields, which were everyone’s common, hated enemy in the Milky Way Galaxy.

A few short hours later, the initial results were in.

Several viral videos, numerous livestreams, and countless podcasts talked endlessly about the path.

The videos showcased the brave people who had successfully converted to the 4th Rank of the Aether Evolutionary Path directly dealing with massive corruption fields the size of entire continents.

”As you can clearly see, everyone, this is the sheer power of the Aether Evolutionary Path. It has vastly exceeded all my expectations. Not only do I feel much more alive again, but knowing the fact that all three aspects of my existence are actively being strengthened all at once, while still maintaining the exact same domain I forged prior to changing my path, keeps my heart completely at ease. The way I am right now... the previous me would never be able to even harm my clothes.”

”That is exactly how much of a drastic difference this new path has made.”

”I deeply bow to the Creator of this path. It is truly incredible.”

...

On the other side of the galaxy.

The Lord Castellan and his High Marshals of the Astral Genesis Citadel sat tensely around a grand circular table.

They all held looks of profound shock and deep confusion.

”Where exactly did this path come from?” The Lord Castellan asked gravely.

The High Marshals did not have any solid answers.

They didn’t know either.

Such a terrifyingly powerful evolutionary path had suddenly descended. Did that mean the tides of the entire galaxy were about to shift drastically?

”I have already reported to you, right? Lord Castellan.” The High Marshal of Arcane, who was a scholarly middle-aged man, spoke up. ”The massive turbulence isolating our galaxy is slowly diminishing. Could it be that an elite group of humans from the other side has managed to sweep towards our galaxy?”

”It is highly possible.” Miwa, the High Marshal of Defense, spoke with a deeply thoughtful look on her stern face.

”Whatever or whoever this is, it is no ordinary figure. If I was still a 4th Ranker, I would have already changed my path into this without hesitation.” Liora, the High Marshal of Vanguard, spoke softly but firmly.

Immediately, the grand round table fell into a chilling silence.

The Lord Castellan, Armon, who was a dignified middle-aged man with a chiseled jawline and a subtle goatee, gave Liora a sharp side-eye as he sat with his two hands touching at the fingertips, forming a steeple.

”Liora, we must absolutely not change our paths. It would be entirely equivalent to completely betraying the sacred arcane knowledge we have amassed and guarded so far.”

”Indeed,” John chimed in with a severe nod.

”Hey, you old folks are still firmly tied behind ancient traditions, huh? Wake up. A completely new path has effortlessly dethroned our Magic Path from the top four and pushed us into fifth. What is so wrong with me openly saying what I have in mind?” Liora said with a dismissive snort.
