Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1373: Chapter 1373: A Gentleman’s Revenge, Ten Years is Not Too Late

”Fine, since you all don’t trust me, let’s go find the village doctor,” Song Yueqin said as she stood up and turned to leave.

Li Junping quickly followed her out.

On the way, neither of them spoke.

When they arrived at the village doctor’s, Li Junping rushed ahead and said, ”My daughter-in-law is feeling unwell; could you see what’s wrong?”

The doctor had been working in the village for quite some time.

He was capable of treating headaches, colds, fevers, abdominal pain, and such.

Hearing that Song Yueqin was unwell, he asked, ”Where are you feeling discomfort?”

Song Yueqin answered truthfully, ”I have stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. Eating makes me feel nauseous...”

”Isn’t this just gastroenteritis?” the doctor concluded right away, ”Have you eaten something off recently? I’ll prescribe a couple of pills for you to take, and you’ll be fine.”

”Yes. It might be because I caught a cold while sleeping a couple of days ago and then ate chilled watermelon upon waking. I’ve actually been feeling uncomfortable for two days.” Song Yueqin’s ability to lie came effortlessly.

”That’s it, then.”

The doctor stood up, went to the medicine shelf, and took a bottle, pouring out two pills: ”Take these half an hour before meals. You’ll be okay after a meal or two.”

”Okay,” Song Yueqin quickly took the medicine.

Seeing this, Li Junping had to believe it despite her doubts.

After leaving the clinic, the two walked home without speaking to each other.

When they reached home, Song Yueqin respectfully addressed Li Junping before heading straight back to the room she shared with Qin Fen.

As soon as she entered, Qin Fen’s voice came from the kang, ”What did the doctor say?”

”Gastroenteritis,” Song Yueqin replied.

”Alright. I’ll trust you this time,” Qin Fen turned over and sat up, ”Just remember, if you live a quiet life, I won’t hit you! If I ever see you entangled with Yang Erdan again, I’ll make sure you wish you were dead.”

”I understand,” Song Yueqin murmured gloomily.

In her heart, she calculated silently, Qin Ru Hai and Li Junping were both over fifty.

They wouldn’t live much longer than ten more years, surely showing signs of old age by then, and the tens of thousands in savings in the house would belong to her and Qin Fen.

If she could win Qin Fen over, wouldn’t that money be hers?

Revenge, a gentleman’s revenge, is never too late even after ten years!

Now, the irritation that Li Junping inflicted on her, she would surely return in ten years.

Song Yueqin opened her mouth and swallowed the medicine the doctor had prescribed, drinking several sips of water to wash it down.

She then went to fetch the large wooden tub from the courtyard, heated half a pot of water in the kitchen, and poured it bit by bit into the tub, then mixed it with half a tub of cold water.

After testing the water temperature, she told Qin Fen, ”Come down and take a bath. The water is just the right temperature.”

Qin Fen nodded, quickly stripped off his clothes, and stepped into the tub.

He washed himself briskly, then stood up and stepped out of the tub.

He didn’t even bother to wipe the water off his body, walking around the room naked.

Song Yueqin brought the tub in from outside again and scooped out the dirty water with a ladle, replacing it with clean water.

She had worked up repeated sweats from running around all day and couldn’t stand it anymore.

Finally, after waiting for Qin Fen to finish, it was her turn to wash up.

Thus, she began to slowly remove her clothes while standing in the center of the room.

Qin Fen’s eyes did not blink as he watched her, observing as her clothing slid off and revealed her plump, full figure.
