Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1366: Chapter 1366: Must Be Tied Together Even in Death

”What do you mean by this?” As soon as Qin Fen got out of the car, he encountered Song Yueqin dry heaving toward him. His eyebrows, already furrowed, now knitted together even tighter.

He had not expected that on the day of his release, Song Yueqin would come to pick him up. In his mind, Song Yueqin had already been labeled a terribly unlucky woman.

If it had not been for the fact that she kicked his manhood so hard, it wouldn’t have triggered a series of conflicts afterward.

For a man, there is nothing more precious than the two ounces of flesh between his legs.

Now that those two ounces of flesh had become purely ornamental, whoever it happened to would feel furious.

And yet, this unlucky woman had actually showed up in town to pick him up on the day of his release.

Qin Fen was already unhappy, and now she was dry heaving, nearly covering him in filth—this made Qin Fen even more infuriated.

Song Yueqin tried her best to suppress the nausea in her chest and squeezed out a faint smile, looking up at Qin Fen, ”I heard you were released. I came specifically to pick you up today.”

Qin Fen gave a cold laugh, ”Why the sudden change of heart? Didn’t you hate me enough to want me dead?”

”Anyway, we are husband and wife,” Song Yueqin maintained the smile on her face, softly saying, ”I’ve been reflecting at home since my leg was broken. Over the past six months, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I can’t let go of you. I think there should be affection between us.”

”Affection?” Qin Fen lifted the corners of his mouth and reached out to grab the hair scattered over Song Yuqin’s chest, ”If there was affection, how could you sneak off and cheat on me? Bullshit affection!”

”I admit it was my fault! I couldn’t bear the loneliness of my body... but I regretted it afterward. After you broke my leg, the more I thought about it, the more I felt that it was all my fault! I was too impulsive at that time. I shouldn’t have kicked you! If you’re willing to give me a chance to repent, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.” Song Yueqin looked at Qin Fen, her eyes brimming with tears, her hypocritical face now displaying a semblance of sincerity.

”Are you serious with what you’re saying?” Qin Fen asked, gazing at her with a stern face.

”Of course I’m serious! For the rest of my life, I’ll live well with you,” Song Yueqin covered her chest, swearing to him.

”Hmph.” Qin Fen sneered, ”Whether you’re being truthful or not, I don’t care. If I’m not going to have a good life, you’ll be bound to me until death. Since we’re both suffering, let’s torment and stew in it together.”

Song Yueqin looked at Qin Fen, her lips curved, and she smiled through her tears, ”I’m willing. Even if it means mutual suffering, I’m willing.”

Qin Fen glanced at her without saying anything, tossed his luggage into her arms, and started walking away.

Song Yueqin quickly called out to him, ”I borrowed a bicycle. Take me back with you.”

”Where’s the bicycle?” Qin Fen stopped and asked.

”I’ll go get it right now.”

Song Yueqin pushed the bicycle over. Qin Fen didn’t say another word and hopped on, pedaling forward.

Song Yueqin ran a few steps, leaped onto the bike’s rear rack with a jump.

With one hand she held onto the luggage bag, and with the other, she held onto Qin Fen’s waist as they headed back to the village.

Li Junping had finished wrapping the dumplings and stood at the doorway waiting for Qin Fen’s arrival.

From a distance, she saw Qin Fen riding a bicycle with a person on the back.

She hurried over and waved to Qin Fen, ”Son, you’re finally back!”

As soon as she finished speaking, tears slid down her face.
