Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1348: Chapter 1348: Just Too Lively

”These past two days, the baby has been very active. Normally, after seven months, the baby’s space to move should reduce significantly, and this shouldn’t be happening. I’m worried that they might be lacking oxygen inside...” Although she had interned in obstetrics and gynecology, her experience was brief.

Thus, An Hao didn’t have a thorough understanding of these matters.

What she excelled at was still surgical operations.

”Come lie down on the bed, and let me listen to the fetal heartbeat.”

Following the doctor’s instruction, An Hao lay down on the bed. Perhaps due to the flat position, it made the babies in her belly feel uncomfortable, and the two little ones started tumbling around again.

The doctor listened with a stethoscope and felt that the baby’s heartbeat was still normal.

But to be safe, she still arranged for an ultrasound.

An Hao walked out of the ultrasound room and handed the result sheet to the doctor. The doctor glanced at the results and directly told An Hao, ”You don’t need to worry too much. These results are normal; individual circumstances vary. This child is just very lively. If the baby’s movements are normal and suddenly become excessively intense, come back then.”

Hearing the doctor say this, An Hao felt much more reassured, ”Well, thank you so much, doctor.”

The doctor smiled and said, ”You’re welcome. However, twins are often premature, so I expect you will give birth in over nine months. At that time, don’t run around everywhere, stay at home and prepare for delivery.”

”Okay,” An Hao remembered the doctor’s advice.

......

Li Junping was scolded by An Hao and ignored by Qin Jian, and her frustration was boiling with nowhere to vent.

Helplessly, without their help, she could only let her son remain in jail.

Li Junping stormed down the street, and accidentally bumped into someone with full force.

Being a robust farm woman, she knocked the person to the ground with one push.

”Ah!” The person cried out and quickly covered their knee.

Only then did Li Junping come back to her senses. When she saw that she had knocked someone down and scratched their leg, her heart thumped.

They say city folks are tough to deal with; what if this person got mad at her? What would she do then?

As she was feeling perplexed, she saw the girl get up by herself and say, ”Sister, are you okay?”

Li Junping was stunned. Originally, she had knocked the person over, yet the girl got up and, without saying a word, first asked how she was.

”Oh, I’m fine, I’m fine. How about you, girl?” Li Junping hurriedly asked.

”I’m okay, it’s just a scraped knee, nothing serious. Sister, what happened to you? You look really upset. Who upset you?”

”Oh my!” Li Junping’s frustrations were already simmering, and mentioning it nearly made her explode, ”It’s all because of my ungrateful son and daughter-in-law... I’m really being driven insane. You wouldn’t know! I raised my son for thirty years, and once he got married, he forgot about his mother! My youngest son is in jail, and though he surely has the means to get him out, he just doesn’t care! It’s like he wants to watch his brother get beaten to death!”

”Sister, hearing you say this, it really is infuriating!” the girl said understandingly, ”No matter how you look at it, they are from the same womb. It is always said that an elder brother is like a father, and his wife like a mother, so if they just watch their younger brother being bullied and do nothing, it’s their fault. It’s totally understandable for you to be angry.”
