Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1340: Chapter 1340: If You Have the Skills, Drive a Tank Here

”You have to let me investigate this matter, alright? We’ve waited so long and just when we’re getting somewhere, we can’t spook them now, can we?” Lin Qiushu understood the elder’s feelings but didn’t approve of their rash approach.

The elder held the bracelet for a long time and finally sighed, nodding their head, ”Alright! I’ll listen to you!”

”Yes. That’s right.” Lin Qiushu smiled gently, ”The bracelet has been retrieved, and if you’re not happy enough just keep enjoying it. I’ll go out and talk about the price with An Hao.”

”No way!” The old lady’s face darkened, ”This bracelet was originally ours, the Xiao Family’s! After half a century, it has finally returned to my hands, how could I possibly pay to buy it?”

”Grandma!” Lin Qiushu looked at her grandma, who was being stubborn like a child, and laughed helplessly, ”You’re not wrong in your reasoning. But so many years have passed. It’s in someone else’s hands now. Can you simply say you won’t give it to them and expect them to agree? Moreover, you saw how your shout just now displeased An Hao’s husband! Are you sure you want to confront them head-on, saying that the bracelet is actually yours and you won’t pay them money for it?”

”Can’t I?” said the old lady, her neck stiffening.

”Of course it’s not okay. Don’t forget, An Hao’s husband is a regiment leader! His father is the Commander of the Northern Military Region! What are we? We are merchants! Do you dare to offend military people? I certainly don’t!”

”So what? The military thinks they’re so great? If he has the guts, let him drive a tank over here and run over these old bones of mine...”

”Grandma!” Lin Qiushu stood up, frowning at her, ”If you talk like that, I won’t be able to help you investigate further!”

The old lady, seeing her granddaughter getting anxious, knew her words were unreasonable and finally agreed, ”Alright! We’ll do as you say.”

”That’s right.” Lin Qiushu smiled and said to the elder, ”Don’t worry! I will definitely help you find out everything.”

The old lady sighed and agreed.

After soothing the old lady, Lin Qiushu walked out from the back rest area.

She walked up to An Hao, apologizing, ”They say the old revert to being children. When people get old, they become like children. They need to be cajoled! I’m really sorry about what happened just now. My grandma was just too excited, I said she had not seen such fine jade in a long time...”

”It’s okay. I can understand the feelings of the elderly. I was just startled, nothing else really upset me, so don’t worry too much about it,” said An Hao. Seeing Lin Qiushu’s sincere attitude, she decided not to take it to heart.

”If you don’t mind and aren’t upset, then let’s start discussing the price of the bracelet,” said Lin Qiushu, ”You’ve been here several times already, clearly intending to buy it. You’ve certainly been to another shop before mine and are aware of the bracelet’s price. I’m a straightforward person, I don’t like beating around the bush. I’ll give you a fixed price—180,000! What do you think about that?”

180,000!!!

This was way beyond An Hao’s expectations!

The other shop’s owner had gritted their teeth and offered her a price of 100,000, and she had thought it might go a bit higher.
