Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1304: Chapter 1304: Say It and Do It

Cheng Yue received a call from home and hurried back to Jiangning from Nancheng.

He didn’t even go home, but went straight to the hospital ward.

There, he saw his mother Qi Siyuan lying on the hospital bed.

”Mom! Are you feeling better? Everything okay?” Cheng Yue tossed his luggage aside and rushed to hug Qi Siyuan, ”I’m sorry, Mom! Sorry! I didn’t mean to upset you!”

”It’s all right! It’s okay! I’m fine! Why did you come back all the way?” Qi Siyuan stroked her son’s head and said gently.

Cheng Yue wiped away the tears that had welled up in his eyes and said, ”Dad said you fainted! Said you have high blood pressure! You got so angry that your blood pressure skyrocketed, lucky we got you here early. If we’d been later, you might have been killed by my anger! If I had killed you, he wouldn’t want me anymore, he’d just dig a hole and bury me alive! I was scared of being buried alive, so I came over from Nancheng overnight!”

”You scoundrel! At a time like this, you still have the mood to joke.” Qi Siyuan slapped Cheng Yue on the back of his hand and said, ”Son, it was really dangerous this time. If your dad had come back later, I might have really gone underground to join your sister!”

”Mom, it’s all my fault! I’ll never make you angry again!” Cheng Yue looked at Qi Siyuan with pain in his heart.

Ever since his sister Cheng Yu left, the wrinkles at the corners of Qi Siyuan’s eyes had become more numerous and deeper, and white hair had begun to speckle her temples.

Mom is starting to get old!

”Not make me angry! That’s nice to hear, but how are you going to deal with this issue? If you stay in Jiangning, what are you planning to do about the child and the child’s mom? I can’t really let the three of you stay separated, can I?” Every time Qi Siyuan thought about this issue, she felt a pang in her heart.

This scoundrel of a son had really given her a tough problem!

”Mom! It’s all made up! I wasn’t doing it on purpose, so don’t worry and don’t be upset! I’ll just come back to Jiangning in the future!” Cheng Yue held Qi Siyuan’s hand, promising her.

”Good. You have promised your mom! Don’t go back on your word later!” Qi Siyuan, fearing Cheng Yue might change his mind, quickly made him promise.

”Fine. I won’t back out!”

”Why don’t I trust the words of a scoundrel like you!”

”What, do I need to write you an IOU? A blood oath?” Cheng Yue asked.

”That won’t be necessary! I’ll trust you this time.”

”Mom, don’t worry! I’ll do as I say! Pinky promise!”

Cheng Nanfang walked in just in time to see this and coughed into his fist, ”You’re both adults! Acting like children!”

”Dad!” Cheng Yue turned and glanced at Cheng Nanfang, ”Isn’t my mom just a big kid? Don’t you often call her Little Yuanyuan behind closed doors?”

”Get out of here! Stop talking nonsense! When have I ever been as vulgar as you say?” Qi Siyuan glared at Cheng Yue.

”How is it not true? I’ve not only heard him say, ’Yuanyuan, when you were young, you were truly a dazzling flower... See, Little, Yuanyuan, you’ve got it, right? Isn’t it Little Yuanyuan?” Cheng Yue started his teasing.

Cheng Nanfang glared with wide eyes, his hand like iron tongs gripping Cheng Yue’s ear firmly as he said, ”You good-for-nothing, you’re useless at everything except running your mouth, which you’ve perfected to an art form!”

”Dad, dad, this is an ear, not something else. Can you please show some mercy? It hurts like hell!” Cheng Yue clutched tightly at Cheng Nanfang’s hand.

”No more nonsense, come with me! I have something to say to you!” After saying that, he dragged Cheng Yue out by the ear.
