Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 310: Commotion In Desolate Sect

After she explained the effects of each pill, Ye Lian spoke directly to Qin Zheng. ”All right, you donʼt need to think about anything anymore; start swallowing these pills, and I will join the others, Sister Zheng.”

After Ye Lian left, Qin Zheng immediately sat cross-legged on the bed, gazing at the five pills in her hand. She then placed the remaining pills in her storage ring while pondering. ”Who exactly is Zhang Fei [1]? Where did he come from?

Despite his youth, his cultivation has already advanced to the soul realm, and his unique abilities have enabled him to perform actions on Ba Yongshan without anyone noticing, including the vice sect master and the elders of this sect. Furthermore, he has connections with the five powerful clans, a feat no one else has ever accomplished before.

If Iʼm not mistaken, Zhang Lingxue is an elder of the Blazing Phoenix Sect who is also an alchemist, and he probably got these pills from her.”

Qin Zheng let out a soft sigh before closing his eyes, and he began to swallow the pills one by one in their order, starting with the Essence Qi Pill.

”Do you know what happened to Yongshan, Lian?” Jing Qiu asked Ye Lian as soon as she entered their room.

”Why do you think I know something about that, Qiu?” Ye Lian returned the question as she sat down between her two sect sisters.

Jing Qiu shook her head at Ye Lian. ”Itʼs just my hunch that your fiancé did that to Yongshan, especially after the previous altercation between them.”

Qian He also tried to persuade Ye Lian to tell them. ”Come on, Lian! Tell us the truth: Was it really your fiancé who did that to Yongshan?”

”Haha.” Ye Lian laughed softly, then put her arms around their shoulders. ”Feiʼs character isnʼt that petty, okay? He could do something to Yongshan, but he wouldnʼt do anything just for a little fuss, like before. However, the situation becomes different if that idiot is unable to accept his own mistakes and invites others to harm him, and he will kill him if he does such a thing.”

”Does that mean Zhang Fei [1] really did that to Yongshan?” Both women inquired simultaneously. ”Earlier, we saw him with Senior Shuxiang and Senior Zhongguo, and they appeared to be looking for him.”

Ye Lian nodded to Jing Qiu and Qian He. ”Yongshan must have complained to Ba Shuxiang and Chi Zhongguo, but he definitely didnʼt tell them the real matter, especially since he had always been like that and would do anything to achieve his goals, including using other people. Moreover, we all know that his elder sister always pampers him, and she will definitely help him no matter the reason.

As for her husband, he is too timid to defy her; he will do anything to please her.”

Jing Qiu and Qian He nodded in agreement, especially since they were both familiar with Ba Shuxiangʼs character, and she would do anything to protect her little brother. As for Chi Zhongguo, they were not familiar with him, but they had seen his behavior many times when he approached his wife in the past.

”Do you think your fiancé will do something to them?” Jing Qiu asked Ye Lian with a serious look. ”After all, Chi Zhongguo is the second son of Sect Master Chi Yang, so his status is quite high in this sect. Besides, Sect Master Jiawen is always protective of his clan members, so if that happened, the people from the two sects would become Zhang Fei [1]ʼs enemies.”

”The Chi clan is indeed powerful, especially since they are one of the major clans in the eastern region, but the Ba clan is too weak.” Both women agreed with Ye Lianʼs evaluation of the two clans. ”Fei even dared to go against the Shen Haoran just to snatch Shen Yu from Shen Tianhu, and he will ruin their wedding ceremony in two days.

Moreover, they still have to face my Ye Clan along with the Shen, Liu, Chu, and Zhang Clans if they choose to be his enemies, so they will be the ones who lose if they take such a decision.”

Both women smiled wryly after Ye Lian mentioned Zhang Fei [1]ʼs relationship with the five clans, but Qian He then asked her again. ”Anyway, what made you willing to accept Zhang Fei [1]? You hate Gu Zhan because he cheated on you repeatedly, but you chose a man with many wives as his replacement.”

Naturally, Ye Lian felt embarrassed to tell them about her initial encounter with Zhang Fei, especially since she immediately fell for his charm upon meeting him for the first time, and they even did intimate things right away. ”Actually, I first heard about him from my brother, and he beat Ye Hang badly after he challenged him to a fight for Chu Ying.”

”Oh!” Qian Ye nodded repeatedly after hearing that. ”I remember that! Ye Hang and Zhao Yun are infatuated with Chu Ying, and they repeatedly came to the Chu Clan to court her, but she never had any interest in them.”

”Thatʼs right.” Ye Lian nodded in reply. ”After my little brother told me about Fei, I immediately went to see Chu Ying to confirm their relationship, which led to my first encounter with him. Even though we had just met for the first time, he approached me directly, which confused me, as I was still Gu Zhanʼs fiancée at the time.

Furthermore, he already had many women, which made it difficult for me to accept him.

”Ha a.” Jing Qiu laughed and grabbed Ye Lianʼs hand. ”At least, Zhang Fei [1] is honest in revealing his polygamous relationship, and he is not like Gu Zhan, who cheated on you repeatedly.”

”Yes.” Ye Lian gave Jing Qiu a nod of agreement. ”Actually, Feiʼs honesty about his relationship is what attracted me to him, but I didnʼt accept him right away, and I chose to spend some time with him first. Once I was certain about him, I brought my mother to break up my engagement with Gu Zhan, and I also took him to see her before we left for our practice.”

”Did Zhang Fei [1]ʼs other wives accept and treat you well?” Qian Ye curiously asked Ye Lian.

Ye Lian smiled upon hearing that. ”Do you think Iʼll accept Fei if they donʼt accept me? Furthermore, he treats us all equally and fairly, so we all get along well and spend a lot of time together.”

”Sigh.” Jing Qiu sighed heavily and laid down on the bed. ”I would be happy if I could find an honest man like your fiancé, but I still wonʼt accept it if my future husband has many wives, and I want him to only love me.”

”Me too!” Qian He said this while lying on the bed. ”No matter how fair and honest a man is, I am sure that he will still have favoritism, so I also do not want to have a husband who has many wives.”

”Haha.” Ye Lian chuckled before lying down in the middle of them before hugging them. ”You two are my best friends, so I will always pray that you guys will find a good man to be your husband.”

Jing Qiu and Qian He laughed happily after hearing that, and they then talked about other things, especially about their next plans after completing their sparring practice with the disciples of the Desolate Sect. .

Meanwhile, an elderly woman in her early seventies gazed intently at Ba Yongshanʼs petrified state, while several others stood behind her, observing him with a mixture of confusion and astonishment.

Chi Zhiqiang then asked the old woman. ”Aunt Lian Xiang, what do you think caused his body to turn to stone like this?”

Lian Xiang did not answer Chi Zhiqiangʼs question directly, and she first touched Ba Yongshanʼs head before flowing her qi into his body, especially since only his head did not turn to stone. However, after checking his internal body condition, her expression changed immediately, and she promptly informed them.

”This bratʼs condition is really bad, especially since his internal organs are also starting to petrify gradually, and he will eventually die if everything petrifies.”

”What?” Ba Shuxiang screamed in shock and moved to Lian Xiangʼs side. ”Vice Sect Master, canʼt you do something to reverse my little brotherʼs condition?”

”Iʼve tried using my earth element to reverse this bratʼs condition, but it didnʼt work.” Lian Xiang replied with a disappointed expression. ”Throughout my life, Iʼve studied and tried many things about the earth element, but Iʼve never found anything like this before. Moreover, I feel that his body became like this not because of a cultivation technique but because of a curse.”

”A curse?” Before Chi Zhiqiang posed the question, everyone turned to Lian Xiang. ”Does that mean someone from the Pang Clan did this to Yongshan, Aunt? As far as I can remember, there were people from that clan who had this kind of ability, but they havenʼt been seen anywhere for a long time.”

”You know thatʼs impossible, right? The people from the Pang Clan do have such an ability to do this, but they would never be able to sneak into our sect, so I am absolutely certain that the perpetrator is someone else.” Lian Xiang then turned into Ba Shuxiang. ”Did your little brother have problems with other people?

For now, we have no choice but to look for those people, and they are our hope in saving him.”

Upon hearing that, Chi Zhongguo promptly informed Lian Xiang. ”Grandma, Yongshan had previously met a man named Zhang Fei [1] when he arrived in our sect, and my brother-in-law asked me to help teach him a lesson because he insulted the Ba Clan as a weak clan.

Furthermore, my brother-in-law informed me that, despite his cultivation at the 2-Star Soul Realm, he had a terrifying intent to kill, leading us to suspect him of being a cold-blooded killer.”

Chi Zhongguoʼs information actually made Lian Xiang and the others look at him with frowns, and their expressions became very serious, confusing him and Ba Shuxiang.

”Are you two sure that the manʼs name is really Zhang Fei [1]?” An old man with a serious look asked Chi Zhongguo and Ba Shuxiang.

They nodded to the old man, and Chi Zhongguo told them something else. ”Anyway, my brother-in-law also told me that Zhang Fei [1] came to our clan specifically to meet Elder Gang Jinshu, and he should still be in his private quarters now.”

Wasting no time, Lian Xiang immediately contacted Gang Jinshu and asked him to come meet them, and she also asked him to bring Zhang Fei [1] along, especially since time was ticking or Ba Yongshan would die if all his internal organs turned to stone.

Although Gang Jinshu didnʼt want to see them, he couldnʼt refuse Lian Xiangʼs orders, so he hurried to meet them. In just a few minutes, he had arrived at the room, but he didnʼt bring Zhang Fei [1] with him, and he brought Shi Xi instead. ”What happened, old Lian? Why did you call me in such a hurry? Moreover, why did you ask me to bring that kid? Did he cause trouble in our sect?”

”Is Zhang Fei [1] a member of the Zhang Clan?” Lian Xiang was immediately asked him to confirm their guess.

”Thatʼs right.” Their expressions became even more serious after Gang Jinshu confirmed their guess about Zhang Fei [1]. ”That kid isnʼt a direct member of that clan, but Zhang Lingxue is one of his wives, and Iʼve confirmed this matter with her directly. In addition, he is a member of the Chu, Ye, and Liu Clans.”

”Are you kidding us? How could he possibly be a member of all four clans at the same time?” Another old man inquired with a slight shriek.

”That kid brought this girl to me because she had the metal element, and he wanted her to learn from me about it.” They immediately turned to Shi Xi, which frightened her, prompting her to quickly hide behind Gang Jinshu. ”She confirmed for me that Liu Hua, Chu Qing, and Chu Ying are his wives. Ye Lian is his fiancee, so he is really a member of their clans, right?

Furthermore, he presented another clan plaque to our gatekeepers, belonging to the Shen Clan, and he himself was a disciple of the Yin-Yang Pavilion.”

Gang Jinshuʼs revelation of Zhang Feiʼs relationship [1] shocked them all, including Chi Zhongguo and Ba Shuxiang, especially since Ba Yongshan did not tell them the truth. ”Anyway, you guys havenʼt answered my previous questions; what really happened? Did he cause trouble in our sect?”

”You can see for yourself, Old Gang.” Lian Xiang replied as she pointed at Ba Yongshan.

”Eh?” Gang Jinshu gasped for a moment before moving in front of Ba Yongshan and examining his condition. ”Do you guys think that kid did this to him? If you really think that, then you can forget about it, especially since he doesnʼt have the earth element, so thereʼs no way he could do such a thing to him.”

However, Chi Zhongguo immediately spoke to Gang Jinshu. ”Elder Jinshu, regardless of whether Zhang Fei [1] did this to my brother-in-law or not, we must find him right now, especially since he was the last one to have a dispute with him, and we can interrogate him to ascertain the truth.”
