Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1667 - 1668: Refusing to Save When Able

Even though the doctor repeatedly said they only drew two tubes of blood for matching, and it wouldn’t cause any harm, how could Father Qi accept that? Such a small child, still at the stage of absorbing nutrients, yet blood was drawn. How could he not feel uncomfortable?

Blood is the essence of a person.

Watching Xiao Bao’s pale little face, I’ve never seen him this weak before.

Cheng Su was also angry. It’s not that she thought drawing blood would put Xiao Bao’s life in any danger; she knew blood regenerates, and with proper care, he’d be fine. But after all, the child is young.

Moreover, what infuriated her was the Qi family’s vile behavior. Without a word, they secretly brought the child to match blood.

Did they think everyone in the Qi family was dead?

Facing the Qi family’s accusations, Zhang Jisheng fell to his knees with a thud and said, ”I had no other choice. The doctor said the matching probability with a sibling is higher... I must save this child, I...”

”Bastard!”

Qi Jianguo angrily raised his leg to kick.

Cheng Su stopped him, coldly looked at Zhang Jisheng, and said, ”You want to save your son, but isn’t Xiao Bao your son too? In terms of age, Xiao Bao is still your eldest. Why don’t you show any concern for him? Without a word, you tricked him home and brought him to the hospital. Is your heart made of iron? Your son’s life is a life, but Xiao Bao’s isn’t?”

Zhang Jisheng lowered his head in shame.

Lai Jinlan said, ”It’s just drawing some blood for matching...”

”Shut up!” Cheng Su glared at her coldly and mocked, ”Just drawing some blood, huh. Easy to talk when you’re not affected. Would you willingly draw even a drop of your son’s blood?”

Lai Jinlan immediately shut her mouth and didn’t dare look at her.

Cheng Su glanced at the child on the bed, those big sorrowful eyes, then looked away, and said to Zhang Jisheng, ”The doctor said siblings have a higher blood type matching, but didn’t mention parents? You, as parents, shouldn’t you be the first to get matched? But did you?”

Lai Jinlan lowered her head guiltily.

Zhang Jisheng did the same.

The more Cheng Su looked, the more she felt suspicious.

”Could it be you’ve already done it?” she asked again.

”Sister-in-law, why waste words with them, just ask the doctor directly. Let’s take Baobao away right away.” Qi Fengping looked at Zhang Jisheng as if he were just a pile of dung.

Without getting an answer, Cheng Su was unwilling to let it go. She wanted to know what kind of people they were.

Qi Jianguo stormed out to find the doctor to ask, and after a moment, he came back fuming, saying, ”Sister-in-law, I asked, they’ve all been matched, and this woman’s matched too, but they claimed to be too weak to donate. So, they brought Xiao Bao, saying brother’s chances are better. Damn...”

He was so angry he couldn’t help but curse.

”With a body fat as a pig, and call it weak? Pah!” Qi Fengping spat at Lai Jinlan.

This really opened Cheng Su’s eyes. Their blood type and bone marrow matched with their son’s, yet they wouldn’t donate and went for a half-brother. They really have the audacity!

Cheng Su looked coldly at Zhang Jisheng and Lai Jinlan, saying, ”It’s said parents are a child’s heaven, willing to sacrifice for them. But now it seems fake with you. Capable of saving a child but not doing so, what kind of parents are you? You’re damned unfit to be parents!”

She looked sympathetically at the child, seeing his timid and confused gaze. She used to think as parents, they would never match, unexpectedly, it turned out so bizarre!
