I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 897: Chapter 896: One Big, One Small

The car saw the three people over here, the rear window rolled down, and a person wearing a black T-shirt nodded to the driver on this side, then drove the car to another spot, seemingly planning to stay nearby.

The three Qing Yan individuals on Beisitian’s side did not linger, they ushered her into a house and locked her alone in a small room.

Before leaving the room, the driver took out a stick of incense, quickly lit it, and waved it in front of Beisitian.

Beisitian had already caught a faint whiff when he took out the incense, immediately realizing its purpose, and held her breath as he lit it.

However, as the person waved the incense, Beisitian cooperatively weakened her knees and collapsed onto the nearby single bed. She then heard the door slam shut with a locking sound.

Once they left, Beisitian swiftly got up, took out a small packet of medicine powder from the inside of her clothes, pinched a bit with her fingers, and smeared it below her nose, then resumed breathing.

The incense used by the opponent was nothing to Beisitian; she possessed an extraordinary talent in incense making. Even before she learned Spiritual Talisman, she was already crafting incense praised by her master.

Therefore, for Beisitian, as soon as the driver brought out the incense, she knew its main ingredients and function, even estimating its duration.

Beisitian hid behind the curtain and looked outside, seeing the driver greeting two thugs and three newcomers.

Because of the close proximity, Beisitian could also detect the newcomers’ spirit; among them, the spirits of the two thugs were relatively strong, and the driver was likely just a driver.

Even though she couldn’t see them, Beisitian knew their car definitely carried more than just them.

Standing behind the curtain, Beisitian’s face darkened; she still had to face such a choice.

If these children and she were transported to the same place, she might have a chance to lend a hand. But if sent to different places, how could she assist?

Should she simply watch them perish without doing anything?

So if Beisitian wanted to save those children, she would probably have to act here, meaning she wouldn’t be able to reach the enemy’s base.

This choice was difficult, sacrificing the children brought by the opponent had a certain chance of finding the organization’s lair and rescuing more children.

Turning a blind eye to the children brought by them and letting them be used as medicine.

The process of the medicine is always cruel, as it involves removing poison blood. Before extracting blood, these children are given toxic substances, drained just before death but not fully unconscious.

Hence, most of these children’s cause of death is not poisoning but blood loss.

The process is extremely painful, and Beisitian believes, if there’s such a thing as vengeful spirits, these children would surely turn into fierce entities, as their dying moments were too painful, they’d likely hate this world, despise all adults.

Beisitian pursed her lips, truly hoping the opponent’s car is empty, without people or children, so she wouldn’t have to struggle.

Though knowing this possibility is low, she couldn’t help but hope a little.

The sun completely sank beyond the mountain, and the nighttime in the mountains seemed to arrive earlier, once dusk fully descended, the bonfire party became more lively.

The six Qing Yan individuals appeared quite confident in their incense, after incapacitating Beisitian, they paid her no further attention.

Beisitian watched as they walked towards the village, usually such villages have restaurants run by villagers themselves.

The village shouldn’t be small, likely housing two hundred to two hundred fifty households, not large in the suburbs, but here in the mountains.

Beisitian gently tried the window, discovering it was locked, and moreover, locked from the outside!

This surprised Beisitian greatly, whose window locks from the outside? This was clearly set up specifically for blood banks like them!

Thinking of this, Beisitian was startled and suddenly enlightened, her guess was correct, this place was indeed prepared for them!

From the Blood Circle in the mountains to here takes about six to eight hours by car; this place serves as a rest stop, it makes sense for them to establish a spot here.

Judging by this, the organization had infiltrated the village.

If they stayed long enough, some villagers might be bribed and become their informers.

Luckily, Beisitian didn’t recklessly act earlier, or she’d have been caught on the spot, not only would she be unable to escape, but the people or children brought by the opponent couldn’t escape either, the plan would be ruined.

The window and door were locked, the opponent should be out eating, who knows when they’ll return, giving Beisitian time to think of a plan and try to leave.

The window was glass, four panes, even if broken, wouldn’t be enough for an adult to escape through.

Though the opponent relied heavily on incense, they didn’t solely depend on it, perhaps that’s one reason they’ve remained hidden for so long.

Then suddenly, a pair of large, cute eyes appeared in Beisitian’s view, upon looking down, she realized it was a little girl.

Beisitian had a spark of inspiration, smiling sweetly, she said to the little girl, ”Sweetie, can you help Auntie with a favor?”

The little girl blinked her eyes and then nodded.

”Go to the room opposite and see what people are living inside,”

The little girl turned and ran towards the opposite room, leaned on the windowsill to peek inside, then turned back running.

”An uncle and a little brother.” The little girl’s voice was crisp and pleasant

This little girl looked about seven or eight years old, if it’s a little brother, then probably between four and seven years old.

But why is there still an uncle?

An adult and a child, the medicine should work best using the blood of children with the most vibrant spirits, if it’s an adult, it should be quite a special adult.

Beisitian couldn’t see it, and she didn’t know what the adult looked like, so she had to wait in the room.

”Thank you, sweetie, this is our little secret, okay?” Beisitian said cheerfully.

The little girl’s eyes lit up, at this age, she’s learned to share secrets, sharing secrets means friendship, so she felt a little excited.

Beisitian felt a bit guilty for coaxing a little girl, but children didn’t have such elaborate thoughts, if she went home and told an adult, bad luck if that family was connected or spies, she’d be digging her own grave!
