I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 856: Chapter 855: News Blackout

Shi Guang had already fallen into a coma, and at the moment he saw Beisitian, he completely relaxed.

After Beisitian gave him some Blood Stopping Xuan Talisman to drink, she called Zhou Quan and instructed him to closely monitor the movements near the two alleys close to the small courtyard. If any strangers approached, he was to notify her immediately!

Zhou Quan is now responsible for the small courtyard’s security. He truly deserves to be someone selected by Luo Xudong; to this day, he hasn’t made any mistakes. Even on that occasion when Luo Yirui followed a stranger, it was promptly discovered. The significant risk at that time was solely due to a delay in message transmission.

This time, Luo Xudong gave Zhou Quan partial manpower and also granted him some authority, so that in such situations, he could take action first and report later!

Having done these things, Beisitian began examining Shi Guang’s body. Now, it wasn’t extremely severe external injuries like amputations or profuse bleeding. She mostly no longer used acupuncture and relied solely on the Xuan Talisman to stop the bleeding.

However, after assessing Shi Guang’s injuries, her expression became grave. There were not only external injuries on his body but also traces left by a fighting talisman.

Injured by a fighting talisman, was he in a conflict with someone? What about the other members of the Shi Family?

Beisitian summoned Wei Zhongxun and Tian Zhi, as some private areas also needed examination. Even as a healer, she hoped to maintain modesty where conditions allowed.

After conducting some special checks, they discovered that there were still some bacterial remnants within Shi Guang’s body, which severely affected his health. No wonder he couldn’t wake up and instead developed a high fever!

Under normal circumstances, with two of Beisitian’s Xuan Talismans, even if Shi Guang didn’t recover immediately, he would wake up soon.

Whether it’s external injuries or damage caused by fighting talismans, Beisitian has solutions for them. But as for the bacteria, she can’t treat it immediately. She must know what kind of bacteria it is first!

For three consecutive days, Zhou Quan’s people kept a close watch on the surroundings. He didn’t limit his surveillance to the nearby two alleys because after reporting the matter to Luo Xudong, Luo Xudong immediately sent over many people, so his manpower considerably increased.

Because of this, he discussed with Beisitian and decided to expand the surveillance area.

However, in these three days, nothing suspicious was discovered. This couldn’t be a coincidence. Was it possible that the youth who broke in with injuries shook off those pursuing him?

Zhou Quan entertained this thought in his mind, somewhat reducing his discontent with Shi Guang.

On the night he found out a youth had broken into the small courtyard with injuries, even knowing it was his sister-in-law’s friend, he felt the person was somewhat ignorant. Regardless of any objective reasons, his reckless arrival could bring trouble to the small courtyard!

But now, it seemed maybe this youth had confidence in shaking off those people?

Zhou Quan was not entirely certain.

Shi Guang still hadn’t awakened. Although both Desan and Qiao Hongjie had examined him, they were also not strong in dealing with bacteria. Most Mystic Doctors have limited knowledge and means to deal with bacteria and poisonous insects, as creating these requires exceptionally high skills, intelligence, and relevant knowledge.

”Keeping it like this won’t work; this kid can’t hold on much longer!” Qiao Hongjie remarked as he looked at the boy lying on the bed, drenched in cold sweat and occasionally convulsing.

Desan also felt helpless. He would unusually become serious when faced with such complicated cases.

Beisitian pondered for a moment and said, ”Is there any good way to determine what type of bacteria he’s infected with?”

Although it’s not her strong point, knowing the types and properties might allow her to find a way to suppress it.

Suppressing is different from the association task she undertook earlier. The bacteria then only caused sleepiness, a very simple strain that Beisitian could easily resolve. But this is different.

In these days, Beisitian certainly wasn’t doing nothing. She tried various talismanic water against the bacteria, but none worked; the bacteria continued to affect Shi Guang’s life.

After half a day of discussions, the three still couldn’t find a good solution and thought of Qi Xiu Hui’s grandfather. But according to recent news, that elder still hasn’t returned.

This elder, named Qi Xindao, where did he go at such a crucial moment? Wasn’t it said he hadn’t left that place for nearly ten years!

The three sensed keenly that Qi Xindao’s leaving his secluded residence this time might be too coincidental.

Beisitian didn’t inform the Military Department about Shi Guang’s situation, only mentioning that Qi Xiu Hui couldn’t be delayed for too long and hoped the Military Department could keep an eye on Qi Xindao’s movements and notify them immediately upon his return.

They didn’t need to say this because Zhou Biwu would naturally do the same. Those people not only posed a great threat to Mystic Doctors but were also a major concern for the Military Department, and this tumor needed quick removal!

In three days, Shi Guang’s external injuries had already scabbed, yet his high fever persisted. Sometimes during the day, it slightly improved, dropping to about 37.8-37.9 degrees Celsius, but at night it would rise back to 39 degrees!

This fever can’t continue like this; it’s highly detrimental to Shi Guang’s brain and body!

That day, Wei Zhongyuan arrived at the small courtyard. Upon seeing this, Beisitian left the side room and returned to the living room, with everyone else following her there.

Wei Zhongyuan brought news about the Shi Family.

In these days, besides having Zhou Quan monitor the surroundings, Beisitian also had the Wei Family and Qin Family inquire about the Shi Family’s situation.

”How is it?” Beisitian asked.

Wei Zhongyuan replied in a low voice, ”The Shi Family’s Beijing branch has been completely wiped out.”

Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked.

The Shi Family was one of the major families in the North. This branch wasn’t an ordinary regional branch but was established in the capital, holding significant influence, and having grown in scale over the years.

Such a place was wiped out in a single night!

”What about the main family?” Wei Zhongxun and Zhou Meiwen asked.

Wei Zhongyuan said, ”There’s no news from the main family yet. However, there seem to be numerous disputes lately; specifics, including whether there are casualties, remain unknown.”

They didn’t even know the scale of the disputes. The news from that side was particularly obscured. Mystic Doctors from other regions now face significant difficulties entering the city because someone found a Mystic Doctor with a highly sensitive constitution.

Supposedly, a highly sensitive constitution means those individuals are extremely sensitive to spirit and can intuitively perceive others’ spirit, judging their levels.

Due to this person, many external Mystic Doctors are kept at bay, among whom are those seeking information like them, likely the majority.

As for communication devices, with people not allowed out, such devices are naturally under control.
