I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 876: Chapter 875: Can’t Go Home

The other four people were suddenly thrown off by the explosion, rolling several meters before collapsing to the ground. Before they could get up, they felt a numb itch all over!

This medicine powder was homemade by Luo Yirui, inspired by peaches. He noticed how touching unwashed peaches and then your skin would cause intense itching, so he thought of finding similar herbs to create a Xuan Talisman to deal with enemies.

However, the talisman-making effect was somewhat unsatisfactory, and it only achieved its current power after his mother’s improvement.

Luo Yirui named this talisman the itching talisman. It had two primary effects: numbness and itching. The itching was so intense it made people scratch relentlessly without pain due to the numbing effect, which only made them scratch harder.

In Beisitian’s eyes, the greatest use of this Xuan Talisman was to buy time. As for its lethality, it was relatively low. But Beisitian did not want to discourage the child’s enthusiasm, as it was his own idea after all.

However, properly used by Luo Yirui, it could achieve miraculous results, like now!

Seeing that the five enemies were too occupied to bother them, Luo Yirui called out to Shi Guang and ran outside. As long as they made it to the main street, these people wouldn’t dare openly kidnap them in Beijing!

But Luo Yirui stumbled after just a few steps. Although he had shown great prowess earlier, he consumed too much spirit and felt dizzy, his little face pale as he swayed unsteadily.

Shi Guang, hearing no footsteps, turned to see Luo Yirui standing there dazedly, about to faint. Startled, he hurried over to support him.

”Are you alright?” Shi Guang asked.

Luo Yirui thought he nodded, but it seemed to take a lot of effort. He wasn’t sure if Shi Guang noticed.

Seeing his head move slightly, Shi Guang didn’t hesitate and bent down to carry him, running while muttering, ”I’ve been carried since I was young, but this is the first time I’m carrying someone. Kid, you’re lucky!”

Seventeen or eighteen years old, Shi Guang had no problem carrying Luo Yirui and soon ran out of the newly built neighborhood to the main street. He secretly sighed with relief but dared not relax, briskly heading towards the crowds.

The symptoms of the five behind were starting to ease, but the itch hadn’t passed. The powder could delay them briefly, but it was nearly impossible to keep them here.

Zhou Quan watched from the shadows, eyes filled with satisfaction, while the other two were full of shock.

”No wonder the boss doesn’t intervene; the young master is quite capable!”

Zhou Quan grinned as if his own child had been praised, ”Of course, with a boss like that, could his son be any less remarkable!”

About ten minutes later, Luo Yirui finally regained his strength, blinking hard until everything stopped dimming before his eyes. Seeing that Shi Guang was heading in the direction of his house, he spoke up.

”Brother Shiguang, we can’t go home!” Luo Yirui hurriedly said.

Shi Guang stopped, ”If we’re not going home, where then?”

Luo Yirui’s little face was calm. At home, grandpa and grandma had no fighting ability, but more importantly, there were his two younger sisters. He absolutely could not let anyone discover them. If they were targeted...

Ever since he knew his sisters’ secret, he dared never to be careless again. His first thought was always about them, and now was no exception. If he went home, those people might follow, putting grandpa, grandma, and the sisters in danger.

He knew his parents were not in Beijing, but even if he couldn’t protect them fully, he couldn’t let them face any danger.

Though just a small child, Luo Yirui was thinking more about his sisters, even to the point of considering becoming the bait, ensuring that no attention was drawn to them.

Luo Yirui thought about it carefully. Beijing, where he was born and raised, according to Uncle Quan, was their home ground. Losing here would be too embarrassing.

Luo Yirui pondered how to capture these bad guys; only by doing so could they end the threat once and for all!

Soon, Luo Yirui thought of someone. With his parents absent, he could only turn to his grandfather!

And although Grandpa was old, no one in Beijing dared to provoke him. Grandpa also had soldiers who could catch those people.

Luo Yirui contemplated and said to Shi Guang, ”Brother Shiguang, let’s split up.”

Shi Guang was taken aback and slightly turned his head to the little guy on his back, ”That’s too dangerous!”

”I’ve rested, and I can go on my own. I need to catch these people!”

This time Shi Guang was shocked. He lowered the boy to the ground, stooped to look at him. This little guy, having just experienced that ordeal, was not scared but wanted to catch those people. What a strong heart in such a small body?

Despite his admiration, he scoffed, ”What are you thinking? Your parents aren’t here, and you’re just a kid thinking you can catch those people. Don’t think you’ve really won; those people are ruthless.”

Luo Yirui was not surprised. ”I know, precisely because they’re ruthless and my parents aren’t here, I must catch them!”

Luo Yirui had seen a truly brutal scene before, leaving him terrified, having nightmares for a long time and relying on his mother’s incense to sleep.

Perhaps because of that experience, especially the memory of that basin of blood, he gained a profound understanding of humanity’s dark side. Hence, he was more realistic, even more so than seventeen or eighteen-year-old Shi Guang.

These people must never appear before his sisters!

Luo Yirui already had a general plan in mind.

Shi Guang, realizing the boy was not joking, was amazed and said, ”You really don’t have to do this; you’re too young. Just avoid these two days until your parents return, and those people will be dealt with. Why take the risk?”

Luo Yirui didn’t intend to prove anything, but even the slightest chance of exposing his sisters was too risky, hence very necessary to do so.

”I have my reasons, Brother Shiguang, just help me this once.”

Looking at the determined little boy, Shi Guang fell silent. The phrase ’I have my reasons’ seemed laughable from a five-year-old’s mouth, yet he couldn’t laugh. He saw determination in the child’s eyes; he genuinely had his reasons!

But how could Shi Guang leave Luo Yirui? After all, he was seventeen or eighteen and thought he should be more responsible.

”I know you want to be the decoy; let me do it.” Shi Guang suggested, thinking he could always escape if he couldn’t fight.
