Chapter 800: Chapter 44: The Broken Bucky and the Visitor

Bucky had never seen what Lucifer originally looked like, but he had seen quite a few of Lucifer’s original underlings.

Of course, the main reason is that most of Lucifer’s underlings are a bunch of fools, a group that reveals their true form once they are drunk.

But no matter what, as long as he is marked as Lucifer’s prey, those fools wouldn’t dare to touch him—that’s why Bucky can sense that the place Lucifer comes from must be a strictly hierarchical place.

The higher-ups possess supreme power.

Following the logic that gigantism equals power, even without seeing Lucifer’s true form, Bucky had imagined more than once that this ‘woman’s’ real form must be gigantic and terrifying.

But exactly how gigantic? Bucky had never thought carefully about it. At this moment, he may have found a reference.

The huge three-headed monster standing tens of meters tall in front of him was eerily terrifying, reminding Bucky of incarnations of Evil Gods in certain myths.

Compared to the gigantic three-headed monster before him, the ones he had seen inside the “Flaming Red Lips” and their true forms seemed like small Wushan in comparison to the giant Wushan!

Fortunately, after this place suddenly turned into a land of magma, it was indeed incredibly hot—so hot that Bucky felt like he’d be roasted dry the next second, which made his sweat frenziedly squeezed out of his body, only to be instantly evaporated by the fiery atmosphere, thus ensuring his grip didn’t slip due to sweating.

Though it seemed nice—after all, his stamina was still depleting.

He had been living in prison for years now, spending his days eating, sleeping, and getting beat up, essentially becoming a wasted man, his physical strength couldn’t support much longer.

“I… I understand! I understand! It’s my fault!! It’s my fault!!”

Nothing is more important than one’s life, and admitting one’s mistakes is incredibly easy! The ancient east even has a saying: a great man should be flexible!

“Oh? It seems the guest is still not satisfied with the current setting.”

The enormous three-headed monster emitted a thunderous sound that shook Heaven and Earth, with each syllable rushing out like a gust of wind, blowing Bucky’s hair straight back… and carrying with it the powerful scent of a canned product akin to a biochemical weapon.

The gust stormed into Bucky’s nose, mouth, forcibly pushing his words back into his stomach.

“Apologies indeed, it seems our preparations are still lacking. So, dear guest, I wonder if you find this environment satisfactory?”

Don’t use such an apocalypse-like roar to say such polite things you damned soul!!!

Finally, the surrounding environment seemed to undergo eerie changes, but Bucky might not last to see its final form—because his stamina was utterly drained.

Suddenly his grip loosened, Bucky blinked his eyes, and his body immediately separated from the only lifeline, the ‘stool’.

Honestly, at that instant, Bucky felt a liberating pleasure, his body free falling towards the scorching magma below, that brief moment of total relaxation triggered his tear glands, scattering fluid in the air.

Huh ah… chimochi… yike…

Bang… crash—!

However, his body didn’t touch the imagined immediate burning sensation, instead, it felt like he had fallen onto a solid floor.

Bucky felt as if his bones were disassembling, pain causing him to scream.

Now Bucky opened his eyes, seeing a surrounding glowing with eerie green sheen, unable to see the giant three-headed monster, and it seemed the bloody corpse maid had vanished too?

Is the crisis over?

Bucky subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. Though his body ached with pain from touching the floor, there was an aftermath survival feeling—even a tickling sensation.

Something soft seemed to touch his fingertips, moist, reminiscent of a woman’s tongue—oh, at this moment, he truly missed the Warden secretary’s services in prison!

In his memories, that sassy lady was ever so skilled at licking.

Bucky comfortably turned his face, having a look—a slender body, possessing bending abilities that made all women dim in comparison.

Hmm, this is clearly a venomous snake.

Bucky blinked, and the venomous snake wrapping around his fingers also blinked at him. Bucky stiffly raised his head, spotting between his legs a similar snake head rising from there…

Hiss… hiss… hiss… hiss…

From around came numerous overlapping sounds, he then saw the surroundings clearly—a seemingly endless mainland, staying is a black earth, albeit not its original color—for countless venomous snakes crawled over it.

He was the only “vacant” area on this land… and the black was gradually devouring this “vacant” area of his.

When a snake approached him, Bucky’s legs trembled a few times.

As a snake crawled onto his legs, Bucky’s fingers twitched a few times—at this moment he hit the venomous fangs of the snake licking his fingers, causing his pupils to dilate a bit.

When a crawling sensation passed over his neck, Bucky’s eyes instantly shut, and the trembling of his legs stopped altogether.

He tilted his head, frothy drool trickling from his mouth, eyes rolling back, as he collapsed into unconsciousness.

Snap—!

Simultaneously, a sound akin to a snap arose sharply, the surrounding snakes, the dark mainland, the eerie green world… everything, like a curtain being pulled away, gradually faded.

The surroundings returned to the familiar club lobby, tranquil and elegant… the stool the boss had brought out for entertaining the guest Bucky still sat in its original place, nothing had changed.

If there was a change, perhaps it was Bucky lying on the floor, frothy drool frothing from his mouth.

“Hmm… did we perhaps go a bit too far?” Boss Luo suddenly rubbed his chin.

“Not at all,” Maid softly said, “you are truly merciful. Actually, using the Ancient Rulers’ system causes fear to be induced to its fullest.”

“…Just like that.” Luo Qiu chuckled, waved his hand, and said, “Let the guest come back to his senses, we should be able to have a good talk next.”

As he spoke, Boss Luo turned and walked back to the front of the bar and picked up a glass. He watched You Ye walk up to Bucky, the glass on the cabinet beside him reflecting the maid’s visage.

Boss saw a trace of her smile, different from the professional one.

In the future, perhaps consider slightly stimulating the soul sealed within the doll… it seems to have a good effect.

Luo Qiu uncorked a bottle and slowly poured a bright red liquid into the glass, like blood… bringing life.

…

…

As Charlotte folded the black umbrella and walked into Flaming Red Lips, she handed the umbrella directly to the strange creature beside her with a crocodile-like head.

Charlotte glanced at the state of the bar and frowned, saying, “Make those lazy guys clean this place up before the night begins. The slowest one will be chopped and thrown into the back alley to feed the dogs. Let’s see which stray cat or dog is lucky enough to get some meat, and if it becomes demonized, call it back to guard the door.”

“Yes… yes, I’ll do it right away!”

Charlotte then stretched leisurely and walked all the way to the entrance of the underground passage. Two muscular men guarding the door saw Charlotte approach and promptly knelt on one knee.

Charlotte, paying them no mind, placed her hands on the entrance and gently pushed it open, walking inside.

This basement structure is far more extensive than it appears from the outside, seemingly exceeding the original plans for this bar’s basement size.

“Lucifer?”

Lucifer was leaning against a windowsill — this window should have been sealed, with thick concrete outside. But the window was already open, revealing a black courtyard.

Lucifer held a glass of green liquor, bent her leg, quietly gazing at the outer courtyard.

“Bucky’s presence has vanished.”

Lucifer turned her head from her contemplation, her long black hair cascading to the floor… her skin was even paler than Charlotte’s, seeming devoid of blood.

“Vanished?” Charlotte said in surprise, “It shouldn’t be, half an hour ago, I saw him lively. Those who caught him can’t be that fast in killing him… Moreover, they can’t kill Bucky, as his first wish was…”

“He’s not dead, just his presence abruptly disappeared.” Lucifer shook her head and suddenly furrowed her brows, “Like being completely severed from the main reality.”

Charlotte pondered, “Could it be he inadvertently entered the Lost Lands? But it shouldn’t be, every one of the Lost Lands nearby has already been sealed by us.”

The so-called Lost Lands are entrances to Different Dimension Spaces that exist but can’t be perceived by ordinary people.

Where the Lost Lands connect is linked to the main reality, yet independently separate. They originate in various ways, some carved out by people, some naturally formed, and many are fragments stripped from the main reality.

Different systems have different records regarding the Lost Lands — Lost is just Lucifer’s terminology.

Places like the Hidden Lands, Secret Realm, Peach Blossom Spring, etc., are terms for the Different Dimension Spaces linked behind the Lost Lands.

Lucifer said Bucky’s presence couldn’t be sensed in the main reality, Charlotte immediately thought that Bucky might have entered these places accidentally.

Ordinary humans aren’t incapable of entering, or rather, their chances of accidentally entering are actually higher: after all, the sheer population in the main reality makes other races envious.

Regarding the mysterious realms behind the Lost Lands, some can even be familiar to humans — such as the past Bermuda, or the realm of tiny people depicted by the author of Small World Adventures.

Of course, there’s also the Inner World mentioned in Journey to the Earth’s Core where primitive species are preserved.

Humans regard them as figments of imagination, but for Transcendent species, these mysterious realms have traces.

“Probably not.” Lucifer’s eyes flashed with doubt, “Ordinary mysterious realms can’t sever the link between me and the contractor. If any exist, there are only a few places.”

“Could it be… God found you?” Charlotte’s complexion changed slightly.

“If It descended, the world wouldn’t be so calm.” Lucifer looked at Charlotte indifferently, “At least, I believe I have the ability to sense the commotion when It descends.”

Charlotte immediately lowered her head, realizing she had inadvertently touched on some taboo matters for Lucifer.

“However, some strange Black Witchcraft can indeed achieve this.” Lucifer suddenly smiled, her voice moving from distant to close, and when Charlotte raised her head, Lucifer was already before her.

She extended a finger, softly caressing Charlotte’s lips, forcibly claiming the spot until Charlotte’s face showed a dazed expression.

Lucifer lifted her head, pulling a bright silver silk thread from Charlotte’s lips, chuckling, “The locals have some unique skills. But as long as they don’t target my prey, I’m too lazy to care. Bucky is too mischievous, better let him suffer some setbacks. Otherwise, the remaining two wishes, he probably won’t make for a lifetime.”

“Then I’ll have the Banshee investigate if any locals have quietly appeared around.” Charlotte leaned against Lucifer, speaking softly.

Lucifer smiled slightly, intending to consent.

At this moment, knocks sounded outside the peculiar room, the voice of one of the masked muscular men guarding the door, “Queen, that guest visits you again.”

Lucifer frowned, “The annoying fly is here again… let him in.”

Charlotte retorted, “If annoying, just don’t meet, why see him?”

Lucifer released Charlotte, a flash of brilliance, wearing a fiery red fitted long dress, “I can’t let the more troublesome guy behind them bother my leisure daily. This one’s quite good now, at least he entertains me… I quite like his music.”

The black door opened, a man wearing a top hat slowly walked in.

His appearance was very retro, and after removing the hat, revealed a head of golden curls — of course, this was worn as a wig.

“Mozart, meeting the great Star of the Morning Dawn, are you well?” The man bowed politely.
