762: Chapter 6: I Can Suck You Dry in 3 Minutes 762: Chapter 6: I Can Suck You Dry in 3 Minutes The last time he returned to his hometown was because of Grandma Xiao Chun’s critical illness.

In the end, Grandma Xiao Chun passed away without regrets, and Luo Qiu learned some things about his own ancestry from her.

His father, Luo Qi, was not actually Grandpa’s biological child, but an adopted one.

Luo Qiu doesn’t know if his father ever mentioned this to anyone during his lifetime, or if he even knew about it himself.

But this doesn’t hinder Luo Qiu’s curiosity about his own ancestry.

The people involved in the adoption of Luo Qi have all passed away now, and there were no clues left from those days.

Luo Qiu can only rely on the altar’s magical intelligence abilities to pursue it.

The altar at the club’s lowest level certainly didn’t disappoint him.

Ultimately, it pinpointed people with the same blood ties as Luo Qi, located in South America—specifically, within the country where he brought the club.

This doesn’t count as a search for one’s roots.

Luo Qiu had known long ago that Luo Jia Village was his true origin, as well as his late father’s origin.

Luo Qi never told his son Luo Qiu anything about his ancestry, probably having decided in his heart long ago.

Nowadays, Luo Qiu’s emotions are indifferent, and the only thing he has to care about in this world is just one.

As for the so-called true relatives of the same clan and origin, he doesn’t see any connection there.

In his view, family ties are formed through the accumulation of time.

Homeless people wandering the streets don’t know each other, have no blood ties, but after spending a long time together, relying on each other, supporting each other, after many days, there grows a sense of family.

Calling each other relatives, why not?

Luo Qiu is just seeking a truth—why was his father Luo Qi abandoned, whether it was intentional or forced.

The altar should be able to provide Luo Qiu answers in this regard.

But as a son, he should personally search for this answer.

Some things are done personally not out of stubbornness, but simply because it’s an obligation as a son.

As long as he can still feel this obligation, Luo Qiu feels he still retains part of his humanity.

…

You Ye naturally knows the boss’s purpose in coming here.

The maid would support all the boss’s decisions without hesitation.

However, once the club opens its doors, it means business has to commence.

In that case, neither she nor Luo Qiu, as the boss, can control when business comes.

Despite having the option to delay handing over the Patron Card to the Black soul envoy, there’s nothing that can be done about those guests who self-propelledly wander into the club, as that falls under the future section.

As the club owner, Luo Qiu has the authority to suspend operations, but not indefinitely, as there is a time limit on this itself.

This is somewhat akin to employees having a fixed amount of annual leave each year, which can be used at will—suspending operations is similar to a holiday for the boss.

Luo Qiu certainly won’t exhaust all of the suspension time to find the truth of those years, so once the new location for the club was selected, business quickly resumed.

What’s aggravating is—the time for this relocation counted towards the suspension time quota.

The altar once again indicated that it surely isn’t benevolent.

However, with the club situated here, it can freely move within the city and a large surrounding area, making it much more convenient, right?

Who would still deliberately suspend operations?

After just tidying the hall items, a storm suddenly arrived outside.

This is not an unusual occurrence for this harbor city, especially considering it’s summer now, the rain seems to have dispelled some of the scorching heat.

Boss Luo opened the door and took a look.

The buildings here are extremely dense, dark clouds filled the sky, and heavy rain was pouring down, making it look like a place without light.

“Looks like, we should wait until tomorrow to go out.” Luo Qiu glanced back at You Ye.

Boss Luo isn’t someone who likes going out in the rain, even if the rain can’t interfere with him.

You Ye nodded upon hearing this and started fiddling with the old phonograph in the corner and the vinyl records inside the cabinet.

Vinyl records need regular maintenance, or they get worn and the sound quality suffers.

“Master, should I play something?” You Ye pulled out an album.

Luo Qiu smiled, sat down in a rocking chair by the window, and opened a local travel guide to read.

The maid knew this meant the master was letting her decide, so her beautiful eyes scanned over the album covers of the vinyl records, finally picking out a jazz-style one.

The singer is: Djavan.

The soft music started playing, the exotic male voice making the sudden rainy day seem less annoying.

After thinking for a while, Luo Qiu said, “Pour some red wine, and get some cheese too.”

“Alright.”

The maid was planning to go into the kitchen when the bell in the club hall suddenly rang urgently.

Almost at the moment the bell rang, a haggard figure dashed into the hall.

Sopping wet, despite the heat of the day, emitting a chill from their body.

The boss put down the travel booklet he had just opened a few pages of, and the maid also halted, looking at the bedraggled person who had rushed in.

The person was gasping, anxious, quickly shut the door upon entering, and leaned against it while swiftly sizing up the club hall.

A thoroughly soaked girl, with brown wavy long hair, looking about eighteen or nineteen years old.

She is one of the common white people of this country, possibly having Portuguese blood from when the country’s ethnic groups merged.

She anxiously glanced outside, seemingly worried something might be closing in on her.

Through the window glass, Luo Qiu saw several men with flashlights searching for something in the rain.

Finding nothing, they cursed and continued searching nearby.

But this soaked girl strangely realized those men didn’t seem to notice her slipping into this shop…odd.

Nevertheless, she had indeed avoided danger this time, so after a slight surprise seeing the only two people inside, she flashed a self-perceived relieved smile and blinked, “Can I sit here for a while?

Don’t worry, I’ll pay you.”

…

Without much astonishment, Luo Qiu put down his travel guide, stood up, and smiled, “We never charge guests here.”

“Is that so?” The girl was stunned, taking a fresh look around.

The interior design of this shop was completely mismatched with the style of the slums outside.

She could see that every item here seemed to have a long history…

even if it wasn’t, it was valuable stuff.

She once had the chance to enter a billionaire’s estate, where the billionaire showed off quite a few valuable things.

But it seemed incomparable to this place—of course, this was just her intuition, as she didn’t have any expertise in appraising antiques.

Even if a truly valuable masterpiece were placed in front of her, it wouldn’t be as practical as a stack of cash.

What intrigued her more was that even if everything here were fake, it must have cost a lot.

Is the owner of this shop an idiot?

To reveal such wealth in a place like this.

Now that she thought about it, when did this shop open?

She didn’t seem to remember…

Also, this shop looked quite wealthy, and it could remain safe, which made it even stranger.

This man seemed to be from the East.

And this maid slave, was she mixed-race?

With many guesses in her mind, the girl gradually calmed down, perhaps because the external threat had temporarily left, allowing her to relax a bit.

“Oh, really?

That’s great.” The girl listened to the shop owner and unceremoniously found a chair to sit on, starting to wring the clothes on her body.

Water dripped from her clothes, quickly forming a puddle on the ground.

She suddenly remembered this wasn’t her place and looked at Luo Qiu uneasily.

“It’s okay.” Luo Qiu shook his head, “Do you need to change clothes?

We can provide you with some.”

“And there’s no charge?” the girl suddenly asked.

She seemed unexpectedly focused on money, but Luo Qiu shook his head again.

However, the girl didn’t really believe that such good things could happen; she felt it might be a trap—traps in the slums are everywhere, and you could fall for one without realizing it.

So she shook her head quickly.

“Then have a drink…” Boss Luo didn’t mind and instructed the maid, “Prepare something to drink for this miss.”

Luo Qiu used his mother tongue, but the girl obviously didn’t understand and immediately showed a wary expression.

Luo Qiu glanced and apologized, “Sorry, I’ve just arrived at this place and am not yet used to your language.

Relax, I just asked her to get you a hot drink, as I think you might need something warm right now.”

The girl was stunned…

Just arrived at this place?

If it weren’t for the accent, she would have thought the owner was a native here!

The girl hesitated but nodded, then continued to watch Luo Qiu, maintaining her vigilance while wringing her clothes’ water—since the other party said he didn’t mind, she wouldn’t let her clothes stay wet, making herself uncomfortable.

You’re the one pretending to be generous, so don’t blame me!

Soon, the young maid brought a steaming hot drink and placed it in front of the girl.

She sniffed it, then frowned, feeling the drink’s aroma was somewhat pungent.

The maid softly said, “This is ginger tea, good for dispelling the cold.

It’s a very nice drink from my master’s hometown.”

The girl accepted it but didn’t drink it, only holding the warm cup with both hands purely to warm herself.

She still looked uneasily outside—through the glass of the cupboard, the girl could see the men outside now knocking on the doors of each shop.

A commotion erupted outside.

But to her surprise, this obviously conspicuous shop seemed to be ignored by the men outside—she clearly saw a man walk past here, but he acted as if he didn’t see it!

“Why aren’t they coming in?” The girl was instantly filled with doubt.

She clearly knew the background of the men chasing her—this place looked wealthy, but it should be more “welcoming.”

Could it be that the shop owner has a background that makes the men outside wary?

“Unless there’s a need, they probably won’t come in today,” the owner said frankly.

“Of course, I can’t be sure if they’ll come in the future.

We all have times when we suddenly need things.”

The girl frowned, finding it hard to understand his words, but she interpreted it as: tonight, the men outside wouldn’t come in, and if she stayed here, she would be safe.

Her eyes flickered as she suddenly said, “Can I spend the night here?”

“Spend the night?” Luo Qiu repeated the girl’s request since she came in so suddenly that he hadn’t had time to introduce the club’s services.

“Yes, spend the night.” The girl stood up.

She increasingly felt that this young Easterner must have some abilities…

abilities that made him unafraid of the men outside; otherwise, he should have turned her over immediately.

“To avoid danger?” Luo Qiu nodded, “If that’s the case, it won’t be the ordinary fee.”

Simply spending the night versus needing protection naturally implied two different costs.

But the girl seemed to have anticipated this answer and interrupted before Boss Luo could finish, “You don’t seem to be short of money, so I don’t plan to give you any.

But I can offer you something else, and I assure you will be satisfied.”

“Oh?

Is that so?” Luo Qiu found this girl interesting.

Every customer is different, providing a rare kind of enjoyment amidst mundane negotiations.

Luo Qiu smiled, “And what might that be?”

“My services.” The girl suddenly stood up.

Because her clothes were soaked by the rain, they now clung tightly to every inch of her skin.

The girl had almost no extra fat, her figure exceptionally seductive, like a samba girl on a poster.

“Services?” Luo Qiu was taken aback.

“Yes, my services.” The girl smiled, “I have confidence in my looks, maybe not matching the lady beside you…

but I assure you, my skills are much better.

None of my clients ever forget my skills; they always request me!

Men love me!”

She was very confident…

This was the first time Luo Qiu encountered such a professional type.

“And my oral skills are even better!” The girl licked the corner of her mouth, “I can make you finish in three minutes!”

So she was a sex worker…
