Chapter 784: Chapter 28: The Legendary Villains

The surrounding police personnel completely cleared the main road, providing a temporary landing spot for the helicopter.

A military-marked armed helicopter swiftly landed amid the roar, and as the cabin door opened, a tall, rugged man dressed in an orange-yellow outfit first came into view.

The prisoner’s hands were still shackled, while behind him, two soldiers flanked him on either side.

“Get down! Move quickly!” the soldiers shouted loudly.

The prisoner took a deep breath as he looked around at the surroundings, then, under the soldiers’ urging, he walked down. On the road ahead, there was already another man wearing prison clothes.

He knew this earlier-arriving guy was Moria, like him, Moria was a former ‘Imperial Command’ senior officer who later ventured independently, taking over a large area. However, he was captured during the ‘UPP’ crackdown years ago.

“Haha, Crocodile, old buddy, we meet again!”

Moria was a type who loved to laugh. His lips were darker than usual, a sickly black-purple color, and he had two dark eye circles.

“So you’re still not dead,” Crocodile raised an eyebrow, clearly not thrilled to see his old friend.

Moria wasn’t too concerned, simply curiously observing Crocodile—the guy had been holding a cigar in his mouth since he appeared.

Being old friends, Crocodile shrugged and said, “I asked them for it, if they don’t give it, I won’t come. If they get rough, I’ll bite my tongue. They had no choice but to meet my demands.”

Moria instinctively glanced at the soldiers escorting Crocodile, and sure enough, he saw their teeth-clenched expressions.

“Do you know what has happened?” Moria asked at this moment.

Crocodile replied casually, “Heard a bit… Roger is inside. That guy just won’t die easily. I always knew he was a lunatic, now he seems outright crazy. But I like it!”

“Who gave you permission to talk? Behave yourselves!” A man who seemed to be a senior police officer shouted with a frown.

Crocodile and Moria simultaneously turned their heads to look at the man who spoke, showing ‘friendly’ eyes, and said in unison, “Oh? Are you talking to us?”

For some reason, the senior police officer jumped in fright, instinctively stepping back.

At that moment, the helicopter sounds resumed, and two more helicopters simultaneously flew in from different directions.

“Actually, prison life was pretty good, good food, good entertainment, female guards to play with, no worries about getting assassinated by enemies, why pull me out?”

A short man with a bulbous red nose muttered unwillingly while being pushed down.

He was… the extremely dangerous criminal, Bucky.

On the other side, a tall man with dyed blond hair, wearing a strange smile, was also escorted down.

Extremely dangerous criminal: Doflamingo.

The four of them, transported from different prisons, gathered here. Capturing these notorious criminals had cost countless manpower, yet now there was no choice but to face the option of releasing them, causing many who hated them to express furious anger.

Now the scene was completely handed over to the Minister of National Security for command, while His Excellency the President remained seated in the office, watching via synchronized live broadcast video with national giants—because the Senate Speaker sent back very critical information: a large amount of explosives had been installed in the theater.

This hijacking incident had immediately attracted reporters like ravenous dogs. With the nation’s governance reforms and development, the media industry had been impacted by foreign influence, and now, over half of the media industry was under foreign control.

Consequently, not just Rio was in turmoil, but even neighboring countries, and across a continent in North America were also focusing on this event.

His Excellency the President had received ‘greetings’ from several neighboring countries in the past hour… this hijacking incident had clearly escalated into a diplomatic issue.

Hopefully, this affair can be resolved peacefully… His Excellency the President rubbed his forehead, then looked at everyone in the office, composing himself and said, “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s continue our discussion on whether to withdraw the ‘UPP’ forces. Minister of Finance, have you calculated how much our losses would be upon withdrawal?”

A skinny middle-aged man stood up and said solemnly, “Well, I’ll explain immediately…”

…

Bucky, Moria, Doflamingo, and Crocodile now stood in a line.

Behind them, four assault rifles were pointed, clearly indicating that any of the four making a wrong move would face the wrath of bullets.

“Listen up, inside the theater, we have brought the prisoners as requested…”

A man used a loudspeaker to address the bandits inside the theater, attempting to negotiate according to orders from higher-ups.

“… We hope you can stop obsessing and avoid causing more casualties; if you can come out, lay down your arms, and surrender…”

However, before he finished speaking, there was a shocked exclamation, as a figure was thrown from the upper level of the theater, directly smashing onto the road in front of the theater doors.

The man was clearly a guest, only he was already dead. Being thrown from a high altitude, his head hit the asphalt road, immediately splattering brain matter!

“Open their handcuffs, then send them to the front of the door, and your men pull back ten meters, don’t move!”

Someone from inside the theater conveyed demands to the police outside through the sound equipment, “My patience is limited; if you dawdle, the next person tossed out will be your Senate Speaker!”

“Send, send them to the theater entrance! Hurry! Ensure the Senate Speaker’s safety!”

The theater doors now opened a narrow gap, just wide enough for one person to pass. The four extremely dangerous criminals, under the watchful eyes of many police officers, walked in one by one until the theater doors closed again.

At this moment, in the temporary command center, in a modified vehicle hidden on a nearby street, a technician controlling the various instruments on the vehicle turned to say, “Minister, the Trojan Horse has been successfully deployed… monitoring cameras can be activated; from now on, we can gain insight into the situation on-site.”

“Mm, have the Trojan Horse discover all the ambush locations of the bandits… keep the next squad on standby, once we grasp the subsequent bandit positions, launch a decapitation operation!”

“Understood…” The technician turned to the microphone, pressed the button, and spoke, “Storm Squad, continue standby!”

…

…

After Bucky and the others walked through the theater doors, they were greeted by pitch darkness. This entry area of the theater lobby had no lights on.

These people were all extremely wicked, and darkness naturally didn’t scare them.

“`

“Roger! We’ve come in, where are you?” Bucky frowned and began to look around, but the visibility was so dim, he couldn’t see the surroundings at all.

Bang—!

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, startling Bucky who quickly retreated, colliding into Moria. At the same time, the theater hall lights turned on abruptly, revealing Roger standing at the staircase holding a P-90, pointing it at the four people. Clearly, that shot just now was fired from this P-90.

“Roger?” Crocodile frowned.

The crowd was puzzled and looked at Roger altogether—this man showed no expression, and no one knew whether he would fire a second shot next.

Yet the next moment, Roger suddenly lowered the gun, then opened his arms, laughing loudly, “Wow! Wow! Wow! My friends, long time no see! Did you miss me?”

“Yeah, it’s really been a long while.” Bucky shook his head, a greeting like this right off the bat is indeed the madman’s character—he actually intended to shoot one of us just now, right?

“While I was in prison, I heard you fled to Russia, when did you come back?” Moria stepped forward; meanwhile, he noticed at least four guys hiding around, in different spots.

“I came back half a year ago.” Roger hugged Moria briefly, then looked at the remaining three and said, “Come, let’s go inside. If we stay here, should those dumb Rio cops rush in, I won’t be able to hold them off. Bucky, what are you looking at? Come over here! The vases hanging here are worthless stuff, stop looking!”

Bucky shrugged and walked up.

Just then, two thugs emerged from the shadows, heading directly to the theater entrance, seemingly serving as the first line of defense.

Doflamingo glanced around a few times, then commented with a smile, “This place is good for defense. How many people do you have this time, how much weaponry? How long can the ammo last?”

“Hey! Guys, I know you’ve been stuck for years, it’s been driving you mad! Relax, I will certainly let you make a big scene.” Roger laughed heartily as he led the four into the concert hall.

“I want to use the bathroom, damn it, all the way here, no sound, I’m dying here!” Bucky said irritably, “Before leaving, that fat-ass prison guard lady was just getting going with me! I was only halfway done!”

Roger chuckled, saying nothing, casually waved, “Batu, take him!”

The remaining three, already under Roger’s guidance, walked into a VIP room. Here, they naturally spotted Rio’s ‘Greedy Fat Pig’ and the Senate Speaker—both celebrities, seen often on television, recognized by Crocodile and the others.

Moria seemed quite interested in the ‘Greedy Fat Pig’, directly walking up to Chief Jose, grinning grotesquely, nearly causing Chief Jose to faint from fright.

Crocodile approached the viewing platform, looking down at the concert hall, then grinned, “A grand gesture indeed, so many people!”

“And we have our Senate Speaker, that’s the heftiest weight.” Roger sneered.

The elderly Senate Speaker heard this but dared not speak… one Roger was already a murderous maniac, now joined by four extremely dangerous criminals. These lawless folks coming together, who knows how great the damage they could cause to the city next.

Meanwhile, Doflamingo sat leisurely on the sofa, legs crossed looking at Roger, “Roger, creating all this hulabaloo, is it just to get us out?”

Doflamingo continued sarcastically, “You should understand, we can get out easily, except we don’t want to come out yet.”

“Mingo, our era is reopening.” Roger’s eyes gleamed with frenzy, “I want to turn Rio back to its state twenty years ago, restore everything to how it was before!”

Doflamingo sneered coldly, “With just those hostages in your hands, along with your twenty or so men? Roger, not to discourage you, but very likely in the end, we four might just stroll around while you and your men accompany us back. Do you really know what’s awaiting outside? Helicopters, assault vehicles, riot squads, even soldiers. We have no viable way to safely escape this myriad of encirclements.”

Roger said calmly, “Mingo, are you thinking of giving up? It’s okay, I can get you out. Crocodile and Moria can too, as long as you ask, I can personally send you out.”

“Haha! Roger, Mingo is merely concerned about you.” Moria directly sat on Chief Jose as if he were a chair, “Also, you must realize, we’ve long left the ‘Imperial Command’, now we no longer serve under you and the old man. If the benefits aren’t enough, we won’t work for them.”

Roger suddenly laughed and asked, “Let me ask you guys, how many slums does Rio have?”

Moria instantly replied, “Six or seven hundred, but because of ‘UPP’s’ suppression, as years passed, our strength has shrunk considerably to less than half… Wait, are you planning to make the ‘UPP’ troops withdraw?”

“That’s just the first step.” Roger smiled slightly, then pulled out a document from his clothes, his eyes shining, “Also, over the years in Russia, I found this thing.”

Roger’s revelation caught the attention of the others. When Crocodile curiously picked it up and opened it, his expression immediately changed.

“What’s this?” Doflamingo frowned.

Crocodile’s expression became solemn, “Nuclear bomb…”

…

…

“Let me tell you, back then with a single gun, I fought all the way from the south bridgehead to the north bridgehead; that scene was blood flowing like rivers! Do you know what people used to call me?”

The red-nosed Bucky was exuberantly speaking to Batu who accompanied him to the bathroom.

“What did they call you?” Batu’s reply was half-joking, though he maintained significant respect for this former ‘Imperial Command’ senior officer.

After all, these four people, each can be considered as legendary figures on the streets.

“Legendary villain.” Bucky suddenly sneered, and his hand moved like lightning, snatching an alloy dagger from Batu’s combat suit.

The dagger seemed to come alive in Bucky’s hand, spinning rapidly, finally resting against Batu’s neck, all in an instant.

“You…” Batu wasn’t sure of Bucky’s intentions, but cold sweat dripped.

“Just kidding.” Bucky shrugged, twirling the dagger tip, “This little knife is not bad, I’ll keep it.”

Batu shook his head, Roger the boss will equip these four guys with weapons later, a dagger basically doesn’t suffice, so he took the handgun off the combat suit for Bucky.

“Sometimes, a flying knife is more handy than a bullet.” Bucky shook his head, “No one sees Bucky’s flying knife without fear. My enemy, I usually would…”

Do what usually?

Bucky left it hanging, because he saw people, several people, men and women, handsome men, pretty women, even an old man.

Wow, clearly a bunch of weaklings, time to see Bucky’s power in action.

Bullying the weak, really is delightful!

Bucky licked his lips, the alloy dagger now resting in his palm.
