752: Chapter 165: Everything Starts Over Again 752: Chapter 165: Everything Starts Over Again Seeing that the waiter in front did not intend to turn around, Officer Ma directly placed a hand on the other person’s shoulder, intending to force the person to turn around.

Just then, the waiter’s shoulder jerked, and at the same time, Officer Ma felt a tremendous force hit his stomach, causing him to stagger backward and finally fall to the ground. “Wang Yuechuan!” Officer Ma was both shocked and angry; this waiter was obviously Wang Yuechuan in disguise. “You won’t escape!”

Wang Yuechuan sighed inwardly; if he could leave smoothly, it would save a lot of trouble.

But his wish did not come true.

After Officer Ma’s angry shout, the remaining officers reacted, with the first few already rushing up to block Wang Yuechuan’s path.

Some had even drawn their guns. “Wang Yuechuan, surrender, you can’t escape!” Officer Ma quickly got up and adjusted his hat. “Come back with me, I don’t want to shoot my former colleague!” “Even if you shoot, you won’t necessarily handle me.” Wang Yuechuan said calmly.

He glanced at the surrounding officers.

Besides Officer Ma, how many of them had actually fired a bullet since leaving the academy?

Wang Yuechuan looked up at a young officer nearby, suddenly asking, “How long since you graduated?”

The young officer was stunned and instinctively replied, “A year and a half!” “That’s not how you hold a gun,” Wang Yuechuan suddenly remarked.

The young officer instinctively looked at the service gun clutched in his hands.

But just as his gaze shifted, Wang Yuechuan moved!

It was already a tense situation… officers shooting required great courage—especially when pointing a lethal weapon at a person.

In a split second, Wang Yuechuan swiftly dodged the officer’s service gun, tightened his arm around the officer’s neck, and placed the seized gun next to the officer’s ear. “Wang Yuechuan!

Are you crazy!!!” Officer Ma’s eyes widened. “Officer…

Officer Ma…

Save me…” The now-hostaged officer trembled, his face full of fear! “Wang Yuechuan, let him go!

Don’t make more mistakes!” Officer Ma’s voice was somber and cold.

Wang Yuechuan was silent.

He never thought there would be a day when he’d be held at gunpoint by colleagues—while committing a crime himself.

But he was a determined person; having accepted the mysterious mission, he had no intention of quitting halfway.

With an indifferent expression, he held the hostage while slowly moving toward Lanling Mansion’s exit.

At the door, two officers nervously pointed their guns.

Wang Yuechuan quickly fired a shot into the floor with the seized gun.

The gunshot caused the mansion guests to scream in terror. “You… you really dared to shoot!” Officer Ma was shocked and angry. “Have you forgotten the police code?

Wang Yuechuan!

Do you even know what you’re doing?

You’re just committing a crime!” “Officer Ma, I’ve heard your shooting is accurate,” Wang Yuechuan said calmly. “Do you dare to shoot me?” “You!!” “If you don’t shoot, then let me go.” Wang Yuechuan gestured. “I just want to leave here…”

With that, he fired another shot at the feet of the officers blocking the door, making the scene even tenser. “Let him go!” Officer Ma took a deep breath, unsure of Wang Yuechuan’s intentions, but unwilling to risk an officer’s life on whether Wang Yuechuan wouldn’t actually kill. “A very foolish choice,” Wang Yuechuan suddenly smiled. “But at your age, you naturally have more concerns.

Officer Ma, if it were me, I’d at least set up chase officers around before coming in… you’ve been complacent for too long.”

Ignoring Officer Ma’s expression, Wang Yuechuan looked at another officer and said calmly, “Come over, close this door, and pull down the shutter… no one move!”

Bang—!

But a shot was fired next to Lin Feng—just a moment earlier, Lin Feng had quietly moved half a step!

Covered in cold sweat, Lin Feng stared at the small hole created by the bullet at his feet, his foot turning rigid.

Now, Officer Ma’s face was grim.

The officer threatened to close the door looked at Officer Ma, who gritted his teeth and reluctantly nodded.

Rumble.

Separated by the falling shutter, Officer Ma and Wang Yuechuan stared at each other, but the gaze was eventually broken. “Officer Ma?!”

As the shutter just fell, Lin Feng looked at Officer Ma in horror and called out.

At this moment, Officer Ma snapped back to reality, rushed to the door, pushed the officer aside, and tried to open the shutter—but now, only the hostage officer lay on the ground; where was Wang Yuechuan’s shadow? “Officer Ma, one of our cars… is missing!” “Lock down all exits!” Officer Ma gritted his teeth. “This person is extremely dangerous, tell Old Liu to dispatch snipers for me!” …

The hijacked police car hadn’t driven far before Wang Yuechuan abandoned it.

He began to hide in the alleys of the city.

His brain started working rapidly.

Familiar with all police tracking methods, he could naturally devise ways to better evade capture.

Just then, vibration came from his pocket… the phone No. 18 gave him was ringing at this moment.

Wang Yuechuan frowned but stopped. “Hello.” “It seems you’re safe now.”

Indeed, it was 18’s voice… moreover, he seemed entirely aware of Wang Yuechuan’s movements.

But Wang Yuechuan wasn’t too surprised; if the incident at Lanling Mansion was orchestrated by 18, he would naturally be the first to know of Wang Yuechuan’s safe escape. “What do I need to do next?” Wang Yuechuan quickly asked.

Unexpectedly, 18 said, “Actually, when you left, you could have chosen to injure an officer, making your future operations easier.”

Wang Yuechuan frowned and said, “Hostage-taking, gun theft, and seizing a police car, those charges are already big enough.” “Have you read the contents of the USB?” 18 changed the topic. “I’ve already seen it,” Wang Yuechuan nodded. “Very well.

Now, go to the airport right away and wait in the terminal, someone will arrange it for you.

You need to go to Xiangjiang Technical School and then smuggle abroad.

Once in Xiangjiang, I’ll contact you again.” “Abroad?

Which country?” “Thailand.” “Is that mercenary team in Thailand?” Wang Yuechuan asked seriously. “You’ll know when you get there… hurry, before it’s too late and the airport gets locked down… beep—beep—!”

Wang Yuechuan instinctively called back, only to find it was a dead number, unable to connect.

He frowned but started finding a way to the airport. …

In the distance, a shadow on a building was watching the intricate city roads below, and a sharp, hoarse, and gleeful sinister laugh rang out. “Go… go… once you’ve overcome all obstacles and completed the task, I’ll give you another surprise—of course, only if you can complete it.

Keh keh… keh keh…” … …

Suddenly, a sound of something being thrown startled the driver dozing in his seat awake.

He looked up to see Liu Zixing had somehow fallen onto the floor from the bed.

Liu Zixing’s face was pale but anxious, his hands quickly searching the floor, looking around frantically as if searching for something. “Hey!

Sir, are you okay!” The driver was shocked and quickly helped Liu Zixing up. “Sir, are you alright?” “My coins… coins…” Liu Zixing, as if possessed, tried to push the driver away, only to find himself weak. “Coins… what coins?” The driver was puzzled, even if it was a gold coin, it wouldn’t be worth such anxiety, right?

But he suddenly remembered something that happened when he put Liu Zixing into the ambulance earlier. “Sir, did you mean the one-yuan coin?” The driver quickly said, “Here, it’s here!”

Saying that, the driver hurriedly took out a bag, retrieved a wallet, and some personal items, “Look, is it this coin?

When they put you in the ambulance, the nurse said you refused to let go of this coin, and it took a lot of effort to take it from you.”

He took out the coins, and Liu Zixing snatched them instantly, gripping them tightly before calming down, slowly sitting by the bedside.

Under the driver’s surprised gaze, Liu Zixing tossed the coin upward, then caught it, and upon seeing the reverse side appear, suddenly sighed and closed his eyes again, lying motionless on the bed. “Sir, are you… are you okay?” The driver cautiously asked, seeing this guy wake up and act strangely, worried that perhaps his mind was not right. “How did I end up in the hospital?” Liu Zixing suddenly opened his eyes. “You don’t remember?” The driver was taken aback and immediately recounted the events that had transpired, “Well, sir, I’ll quickly notify the traffic officer to come over!

Whatever happens, you must tell him that I truly didn’t hit you, not even a little.

You rushed out into the road on your own and then passed out!”

Seeing the nearly forty-year-old man’s worried and frightened expression, Liu Zixing nodded, “I’m sorry, brother, I didn’t mean to cause you trouble.”

Hearing Liu Zixing’s apology, the driver felt his frustration diminish quite a bit.

The driver sighed in relief and sat down again, “Actually, it’s nothing, everyone has their unlucky moments, isn’t mutual understanding better?

But you should be more careful next time, don’t run out like that foolishly.

If something were to happen, think about your family, it would make them worry!” “Family…” Liu Zixing shook his head, his gaze dull, and he remained silent.

At this moment, the driver recalled the policeman’s words and thought that perhaps this guy doesn’t have a good relationship with his family, feeling awkward immediately.

Both fell into silence by the bedside, the driver saw Liu Zixing absentmindedly toying with this ordinary one-yuan coin, couldn’t help but ask curiously: “I say, buddy, does this coin hold some special significance?”

Liu Zixing suddenly stopped, and after a while said, “You could say yes and no, and no, yes…

I just, can’t let go.”

The driver was baffled, then said with a smile: “Actually, I think in this life, there’s nothing that can’t be let go!

The most important thing is one’s health and safety.

Think about it, the body is the capital of revolution!” “True.” Liu Zixing smiled slightly.

If his life had ended this time, naturally he would have lost the qualification to use this coin to gamble again with the boss.

Liu Zixing sighed, feeling perhaps luck is still on his side…

Though unlucky, it hasn’t reached the point of losing his life.

But the pain coming from his ear kept reminding him that he was still a patient suffering from tetanus, which could become serious at any moment. “By the way, brother, your ear…” The driver hesitantly asked, then realizing he might be too nosy, quickly waved his hand, “Never mind, I was just prying, pretend I didn’t say anything!”

Liu Zixing nodded indifferently, having no intention of talking.

He never thought he would spend such a day in a hospital, and the companion was merely a stranger.

The wonders of life, nothing beats this. “Daddy!

Daddy!!”

Liu Zixing suddenly looked up, at the source of the voice.

It was a ten-year-old girl, wearing a cotton jacket, her cheeks rosy, running into the public ward.

Liu Zixing watched as the young girl pounced into the driver’s arms, feeling as if something inside him was stirred.

Not only the young girl, but behind her was also a woman in her thirties. “Oh dear, you came!” The driver hugged his daughter, pressing his hands against her cheeks, fearing she might cold.

The woman hurried over, glanced at him, seemingly reproachful: “Worried about you, came to check on you.

It’s so late, you’re still in the hospital alone, you didn’t know this little girl was crying and fussing.

I really couldn’t handle her!” “Oh, is our baby missing daddy?” The driver brother ignored his wife’s reproaches, clings face-to-face with his daughter, “Sorry, baby, I’ll make you delicious food when I get home!” “Gift!

Christmas gift!” The little girl seemed to mature a bit, suddenly pushing the driver brother away, “Your beard pokes me!

I don’t know how mom is willing to kiss you!” “Oh dear…” The driver covered his daughter’s mouth immediately, then looking awkwardly at his wife.

His wife glared, naturally not giving a good face to the driver brother.

Finally, perhaps seeing the driver’s brother pitiful tonight, she grumbled reluctantly, “Hungry?

Nothing much to eat, just made some dumplings, eat casually!”

The little girl took the thermos from her mom, then handed it to the driver brother’s side.

The driver uncle starved, opened the lid, eagerly tasted a bite, thinking that his wife still cared about him.

At this moment, the daughter suddenly curiously asked: “Uncle, why are you crying?” …

The family of three simultaneously looked at Liu Zixing.

The driver brother then remembered there was another person, and the driver’s wife panicked immediately, not knowing what to do.

Liu Zixing wiped his eyes then smiled, softly said: “Your family, has wonderful affection.” “Uh…” The driver was stunned, unsure what to say, blurted out tactlessly: “Well, buddy, how about you have a bite too?

You look hungry too…” “Yeah, I made a lot!” The driver’s wife quickly snatched the thermos from the driver’s hand, scooped a little with the lid, and handed it to Liu Zixing, “Try some, fresh mushroom meat filling, I just chopped this afternoon, fresh!” “Thank you.” Liu Zixing nodded and took it with both hands.

But tears couldn’t help but flow again.

He bit down, chewing, experiencing a mix of emotions. … …

Later, the traffic officer came over, and Liu Zixing personally wrote a guarantee in front of the driver’s family, which finally relieved them.

After a long night, the family of three went home.

The traffic officer came and went quickly, just advising Liu Zixing to recuperate well in the hospital.

When the driver left, he didn’t take the thermos bottle, leaving behind some dumplings, so Liu Zixing would have something to eat if he got hungry.

As for the bottle, there was no need to return it.

Liu Zixing did not know the name of this driver.

He didn’t specifically ask, and the other party didn’t mention it voluntarily; perhaps this was just a chance encounter that would never happen again.

Liu Zixing carefully finished all the dumplings in the thermos bottle before slowly closing his eyes, as if savoring the taste in his mouth.

When he opened his eyes again, there was suddenly a gleam in them.

He took out the coin but didn’t toss it, opting instead to wait in silence.

After a while, Liu Zixing looked at the spot by the window and saw someone unexpectedly standing there.

Boss. “Customer, I heard your call.” Boss Luo smiled slightly at Liu Zixing, “Are you planning to continue our bet?”

Liu Zixing suddenly asked, “Have you eaten?” “I have, thank you for asking.” Luo Qiu replied politely. “I have, too.” Liu Zixing looked down at the thermos bottle, “I had the most ordinary home-cooked meal.” “Is that so.” Boss Luo nodded and walked to the bedside, softly saying, “It must have tasted good.”

Liu Zixing chuckled, “Honestly, the taste wasn’t that great.

The instant noodles I had at the hotel a few days ago tasted better.”

It felt like a casual chat between old friends who hadn’t seen each other in a long time.

Liu Zixing no longer felt the nervousness and fear he once did when meeting Luo Qiu.

Boss Luo suddenly sat down, looking at the coin in Liu Zixing’s hand, “Not going to bet?”

Liu Zixing sighed, “If I know I’m going to lose, why bet?”

Luo Qiu nodded and asked again, “Not going to bet?”

Liu Zixing shook his head, “Without betting, there’s no future.” “So?”

Liu Zixing looked at the mysterious boss, his eyes filled with a peculiar light, “I know whatever I bet on now I will lose, so I won’t bet for the time being.

But I will wait, wait until my opportunity returns, and then I’ll bet with you!” “The privilege of a fair bet with me will always be available to you until the day you die.” Luo Qiu nodded. “I will bet with you.” Liu Zixing took a deep breath, “But when I bet with you in the future, I won’t bet on the family ties I’ve sold.

I know I might not win… and I can’t afford to lose.

So I will bet on a chance!

A chance to recreate the family bond with my family.

You’re only giving me a chance, which relatively means I have a lower stake… and more chances of winning.” “Indeed.” Luo Qiu smiled, “Just a chance, the stakes aren’t high.

However, I must remind you… chances can fail too.”

Liu Zixing said calmly, “But this way, I can maximize the preservation of my life… without life, I have nothing.

But as long as I’m alive, everything can start anew.” “I hope you win against me… dear customer.”

Boss disappeared into the night.

Liu Zixing looked at the night outside the window, suddenly smiled, lay down on the bed, and slowly closed his eyes.

At this moment, he only felt the nightmares had left, fully enlightened, just waiting for the future.
