761: Chapter 5: Cave Dwelling and Blood Ties 761: Chapter 5: Cave Dwelling and Blood Ties Speaking of which, Luo Pianqian is taking this kind of ride for the first time.

She feels that humans truly have amazing talents in the fields known as science and technology.

A high-speed train with speeds exceeding 250 kilometers per hour has a speed that many demons cannot reach—and this kind of train can carry at least hundreds of passengers, something monsters find difficult to achieve.

Legend has it that ancient demon veins have giant Kunpengs, whose wings are unknown how long…

Perhaps it can effortlessly carry hundreds of humans?

Although by comparison, Luo Pianqian suddenly felt the disadvantage of the demons today, but the scenery receding along the high-speed train deeply attracted this lady with butterfly wings experiencing the high-speed train for the first time.

Long Xiruo is actually quite wealthy, otherwise, a pet hospital wouldn’t be maintained continuously, but she usually keeps a low profile, so Luo Pianqian didn’t know how luxurious it is for them to book the entire front cabin of a high-speed train for two people—of course, there aren’t many seats in the first-class cabin, like this one has only five seats.

Watching Luo Pianqian’s hands pressed on the train’s glass window, her face almost sticking to the glass, and her excited demeanor with her hips sticking out, Long Xiruo suddenly felt some relief about booking this place.

Initially, it was just because she doesn’t like being around too many humans, so she chose not to book seats in first or second class.

Now it’s relief…

luckily, others didn’t see Luo Pianqian in this state.

The true dragon of China really doesn’t know where to put her face…

Thinking about when a crew member might suddenly walk in and see this scene, Long Xiruo felt extremely uncomfortable and decisively slapped Luo Pianqian’s buttocks—using her palm.

Because this body isn’t very big, using all her force still wouldn’t hurt anyone.

But following the sound of a ‘slap’, Luo Pianqian felt a wave of vibration from her buttocks.

Like ripples spreading beneath her clothes on the skin of her buttocks and then disappearing, Luo Pianqian turned around puzzled, looking at Long Xiruo, not knowing why Sister Long just touched her.

Long Xiruo fiercely stared and then said with an angry tone, “Sit down!

I have something to tell you!”

Luo Pianqian felt that the angry tone of Sister Long, compared to Sister Su Zijun’s anger, is really much cuter.

She couldn’t help but want to hug Sister Long right now.

“Sister Long, what do you want to say?”

Looking at Luo Pianqian blinking without any sign of seriousness—it seems this girl will never learn what being serious means.

Long Xiruo sighed and said, “This trip to Mount Tai may encounter troublesome matters.

I’m not convenient to take action now, so you might need to handle some things along the way.

Your demonic powers have grown a lot since you returned, nearly reaching the level of an advanced demon, but there’s still an obstacle to becoming a truly advanced monster.

Don’t underestimate this obstacle, it makes a fundamental difference between advanced and medium-level monsters.”

Luo Pianqian blinked…

not understanding.

Long Xiruo subtly twitched her forehead, “Anyway, I will help you grow to the level of an advanced monster; you just need to do what I say!”

Finding this simple, Luo Pianqian quickly nodded, feeling she is quite obedient.

Long Xiruo paused, then said seriously, “The matter of cultivation, I will help you after getting off the train.

Right now, during the ride, I’m going to tell you the purpose of this trip.”

Knowing Sister Long suddenly went out for important matters, Luo Pianqian eagerly listened.

“Someone discovered a cave potentially linked to Dongyue the Great Emperor on Mount Tai,” Long Xiruo recalled the call from Gui Qianyi not long ago.

Luo Pianqian had heard of Dongyue the Great Emperor, mentioned by the late Grandpa tree monster when she was young, but didn’t pay much attention, only knowing him as a mythical figure.

“Dongyue the Great Emperor, the legendary lord overseeing souls?” Luo Pianqian shared her limited knowledge.

Long Xiruo nodded, “Yes.

What we commonly refer to as the Ten Kings of Hell and Eighteen Levels of Hell, are collectively known as the netherworld, and Dongyue the Great Emperor is the only ruler of the netherworld.

Nowadays, the netherworld is already closed, the Dao of Samsara interrupted early on, which is highly abnormal; should this continue, even humanitarianism could vanish.

Discovering Dongyue the Great Emperor’s cave might unravel the mystery of the netherworld’s closure.”

Long Xiruo, as the guardian true dragon of China, has secretly investigated the closure mystery of the netherworld over the years.

But in this heaven and earth, each has its position, she as the guardian true dragon secures this land, while overseeing souls falls to another entity.

Simply put, in the hierarchy of China’s heaven and earth, Dongyue the Great Emperor and the true dragon can be seen as figures of the same level, although this is partly the Taoist perspective.

Gui Qianyi called about this matter, indicating the current chaos within Mount Tai’s area.

In the end of Dharma situation, key members of some communities felt the earth’s disfavour towards the extraordinary, knowing uncertainties lie ahead with constant dangers of ending, thus seeing the ancient Great Emperor’s cave emergence, they compete hoping for a hint from the Great Emperor’s legacy.

Currently, chaos reigns in Mount Tai’s area, humans and Dao Monsters face off, constantly probing each other with altering situations, endlessly occurring friction.

And the news even spread secretly, prompting some driven overseas by previous wars to quietly return.

If not well controlled, this country’s hidden extraordinary realm faces danger of exposure to all, when even a full effort by the national apparatus might fail to contain the information.

But Long Xiruo feels baffled—Dongyue the Great Emperor, also known as Mount Tai’s Deity, reputed to have attained the way on Mount Tai.

If he indeed left a cave there, why did no one find its existence all these years?

You should know, every ten years, Mount Tai holds a Penglai Conference.

This discovery of the cave of Dongyue the Great Emperor and Penglai…

is there any connection?

Long Xiruo speculates various things but remains clueless, looking at the complying little butterfly monster, as she faces many inconveniences this trip, her strength each time used lasts only a few minutes before needing a rest, hoping Luo Pianqian could offer her some support…

But, is this girl competent though?

Initially, she planned to bring Sun Xiaosheng, but knowing his chaotic nature would likely introduce more uncertainties, decided against it.

Every huge powerful monster, especially those with potential to become Demon Kings, isn’t naturally rebellious?

Sun Xiaosheng can’t be suppressed regularly by Long Xiruo, primarily due to her true dragon identity and power, secondly due to Sun Xiaosheng’s obsession with Su Zijun.

But, touching any hint of ethereal opportunity, likely reveals another face.

“Absolutely can’t let Sun Xiaosheng know my current state!” Long Xiruo cautioned herself.

Meanwhile, the first-class cabin door suddenly opened, a crew member holding food entered, politely inquiring.

Luo Pianqian blinked, finger pointing at her lips, and the first thing she asked was, “Do you have milk?”

This girl…

indeed, can’t stay tense huh?

…

…

Xiangjiang·a certain dock.

The night ultimately enveloped the surroundings in black, Wang Yuechuan alone carried a travel bag, already waiting over an hour.

Following instructions from 39.0, he came to Xiangjiang, hid here two days, then received new orders from 39.0 again.

Based on instructions, tonight he would board an arranged ship, smuggling method into Thailand’s borders.

As for entering Thailand, there would be a new identity for the starting mission.

No support, starting this way felt like daunting hurdles ahead to Wang Yuechuan.

But precisely because of this, it strengthened his belief in the mission.

Surely, who wastes effort, mobilizing many forces, to smuggle out a fugitive and arrange a clandestine entry?

And even contacting an international mercenary group he needs engaging with?

Moreover, he early confirmed through phone with his adoptive father and leader…

Wang Yuechuan sighed.

He already discarded his original phone—following 39.0’s instruction he should give up any identity proof.

Ever since he arrived in Xiangjiang, he hadn’t contacted his adoptive father again.

At this moment, a few flashes appeared on the horizon ahead.

Wang Yuechuan recognized it as the smugglers using a flashlight to send signals…

the flashes followed in succession, using Morse code to indicate that it was safe to board now.

Soon after, a small boat arrived at the dock with only a man in his thirties.

Wang Yuechuan exchanged a few words with him, confirming each other’s identities before immediately following the small boat back to the fishing vessel still at sea.

“What’s your business in Thailand?”

The man steering the small boat casually asked in broken Mandarin, commonly known as Hong Kong-style Mandarin.

Of course, most of those smuggled out through him had committed some crimes.

He wasn’t particularly interested in knowing, just curious.

Wang Yuechuan didn’t respond, glanced at the man, then closed his eyes.

The man was used to such reactions.

He knew the man who boarded must be in a terrible mood; no one would willingly leave their homeland unless forced to.

“Do you have a cigarette?” Wang Yuechuan suddenly opened his eyes and glanced at the boatman.

“Yes.” The man casually pulled out a pack of red Marlboro from a soft pack, took one out for Wang Yuechuan, and even lit it for him, “You smoke too?

I thought you didn’t smoke.”

His fingers, his teeth, naturally lacked a smoker’s traces.

The boatman’s eyes were indeed quite sharp.

Wang Yuechuan calmly replied, “I will from now on.”

He took a drag from the cigarette, the spicy taste invading his throat, making him feel extremely uncomfortable, causing his brows to furrow.

The boatman suddenly found that the way this man frowned was actually quite masculine.

Wang Yuechuan didn’t bother thinking about what the boatman thought, just took a second drag from his cigarette, getting used to the spicy taste while recalling the information about the mercenary group he needed to contact.

Named “EOK.”

And “EOK” recruited almost exclusively retired elite soldiers from national armies or war criminals, with a small size, staffed invariably at ninety-nine members, only recruiting new members if someone among the ninety-nine died.

This time, “EOK” planned to recruit two newcomers because two members unexpectedly died during a mercenary mission…

…

On the dock, a shadow blending completely into the night watched the small boat gradually depart, then let out a strange laugh before disappearing.

Naturally, it was Black soul envoy Number 18 from the club.

This time, when the club relocated, Luo Qiu didn’t bring Number 18 and Da Zhe.

For some reason, Luo Qiu granted Number 18 free movement and gave her access to open a Border Gate.

This meant that if Number 18 desired a place, she could open a Border Gate there and later bring masters to the club through the gate.

The place could be Number 18’s former territory or somewhere new, entirely up to her preference, without a time limit, and before opening the gate, she didn’t need to submit a master’s information card.

This effectively served as a kind of break.

Number 18 felt that this order from her new master could entirely be described as a reward.

Yet she pondered for a long while, thinking that it was fortunate enough not to be punished for her previous failure with Zhu Maolin as a master, let alone expect a reward.

However, the authority to open a Border Gate had already been imprinted on her, forcing Number 18 to believe it all.

She contemplated for quite some time, eventually sensing that this reward from her new master might be related to her initial protection of Ren Ziling in secret.

“Since I can freely choose the Border Gate’s location and have no time limit…” Feeling great, Number 18 naturally first thought about how to cultivate a mage she particularly “favored.”

“So, Master 18, are we going to Thailand now?”

Suddenly, Da Zhe’s voice came from behind Number 18 — hearing this voice instantly turned Number 18’s good mood into irritation.

She couldn’t help but recall the boss’s last words before leaving: Da Zhe is your responsibility from now on.

But orders from the master were supreme, leaving Number 18 no choice but to comply.

“I heard there are lots of ladyboys in Thailand?

Tsk, guess this counts as traveling abroad?”

Da Zhe stood in beach shorts and a straw hat, resembling a tourist…

Number 18 couldn’t help but feel disgruntled: Master, why do you want me to drag this burden around??

…

…

Brazil, Rio.

Packed items had been unwrapped one by one, and the maid was putting them back in their original spots.

Luo Qiu thought he shouldn’t be idle, so he took a cloth and started cleaning the club’s front window.

Behind him was the street of the slum, but it was actually a winding staircase rather than a real street.

Opposite the club’s new address, a barbershop stood, separated by less than three meters…

but this was considered quite a spacious section of the “stairway path.”

The boss breathed against the cabinet’s mirror, wiped it, and, feeling satisfied, stopped.

He planned to head back inside the hall, but his eyes caught a single shoe hanging from a distant utility pole.

Luo Qiu remembered there was no shoe hanging there before.

According to certain local customs, hanging a shoe signaled drug dealing or trade might occur there.

Rumor had it that many slums here were controlled by drug traffickers.

Luo Qiu mused the area he chose seemed to be one of those infamous places where police had no jurisdiction, a drug trafficker’s territory.

Perhaps something interesting might happen.

Luo Qiu had this thought before reentering the club, guessing it might be an unexpected surprise?

Originally, he didn’t plan to stay long, just temporarily reside until before the Lunar New Year to clear some things up.

“The one connected to me by blood is here…”
