781: Chapter 25: Badge of the Sun God 781: Chapter 25: Badge of the Sun God The overcrowded state of this country’s prisons has long been known.

If he could, the Warden would even like to ‘clear out’ a portion of the inmates here—even with half cleared, the place would still be exceedingly cramped.

Scum, trash, parasites…

Enjoying his dinner in his office, the Warden was not in a good mood.

He considered finding some prisoners to play with later to make himself feel a little better.

After all, in such a boring place, only the amusement with prisoners can provide a bit of thrill—in this place full of stench and noise, death.

Suddenly, two strong beams of light shot through the side glass window, blinding the Warden’s eyes, and simultaneously, a call from the nation’s power center directly reached here.

“Immediately extract the following two inmates, the escort personnel have arrived.”

The call ended quickly, and the Warden saw the source of the strong light—an armed helicopter!

Wh..what happened?

To deploy something like this for the extraction of two inmates?

Although, those two inmates mentioned in the call were notorious men.

“Get Bucky and Doflamingo to me, immediately!”

Nevertheless, the Warden was quick to arrange for his guards to extract these two from their tightly controlled quarters.

Not only here, but in two other prisons on this scorching summer night, the same situation emerged.

…

…

Rio City Theater.

Song Haoran was watching the screen of his phone—Lluvia was shooting the scene through a video.

All the guests had been gathered and were squatting under the stage, making the place extremely cramped.

This reminded Song Haoran of the infamous prison conditions in this country.

Due to leaving midway to communicate with his father, Song Haoran was ‘lucky’ enough to avoid this disaster, so that he would not appear passive.

At least, outside the eyes of this band of criminals, he had a lot of room to maneuver.

“There’s a bomb, be careful, I’ll think of something.”

After sending a text message to Lluvia, Song Haoran began to ponder his next move.

This place is extremely dangerous; this band of criminals possesses weaponry able to confront police directly and explosives capable of destroying the entire theater…

The crucial matter is the existence of the explosives.

Without a doubt, with his skills, he could leave this place safely—after all, he wasn’t trapped inside the concert hall.

However, he couldn’t just abandon his two subordinates and leave alone.

Decades ago, his father struggled and strived across oceans to establish his roots on this mainland, relying on nothing but blood-stained hands and things like friendship.

Loyalty, worth a thousand gold.

He had always been taught…

taught that if he wanted his subordinates to loyally devote themselves, then he should stake his life with them.

All entrances to the concert hall were guarded, no matter inside or outside, and once anything happened, what awaited would likely be numerous guns.

“A bit tricky.” Song Haoran frowned.

Through Lluvia’s video, he naturally saw bullets occasionally fired from the VIP box seats.

They weren’t aimed at anyone in particular; it seemed random.

But it was precisely this action that made Song Haoran feel the cruelness of this band of criminals.

Truly treating human lives as if they were nothing.

As for outside the theater, through the windows, he saw numerous police cars and command vehicles surrounding outside; the police riot squad were already on standby, tightly sealing all four sides of the theater.

Further away, roads were completely blocked off…

The sound of car horns blaring, like the city expressing dissatisfaction at night.

“Seems there’s negotiation underway…

just don’t know the terms.” Song Haoran swiftly glanced over and then silently left, planning to sneak to the back of the stage to see if he could blend inside.

Best if he could find the bomb installation spots.

Taking a deep breath, Song Haoran suddenly pressed his palm against his chest…

Through the clothes, his hand seemed to be grasping something.

It was a small, round badge shaped like the sun, engraved with ancient characters.

It was something he had obtained during an expedition—from a hidden Temple in the Amazon Jungle.

Earlier, in a Spanish restaurant, he had briefly mentioned the jungle expedition to a domestic friend he had known only for an hour or two, sharing about encountering terrifying giant boas, but never mentioning to anyone that he obtained such an ancient round badge during the venture—or perhaps calling it a badge was more accurate.

The Badge of the Sun God…

Since he didn’t know its origins, Song Haoran had already named it accordingly.

With his palm clutching the Badge of the Sun God carried close to his body, Song Haoran tightly closed his eyes.

And at this moment, his mind seemed to detach from his body, a light feeling making his soul also feel joyous, but the body seemed like a heavy shackle, letting him simultaneously feel a sense of binding discomfort.

The detached mind at this moment was spreading like ripples, gradually extending to the theater’s edge.

And within his mind, this grand theater began to reconstruct.

Thus, he ‘saw’ everything within the theater…

Naturally, including those hiding in the shadows and the terrifying items buried capable of destroying this place.

Moments later, Song Haoran opened his eyes again, his forehead already covered in fine sweat beads, while feeling the fatigue coming from his body.

The Badge of the Sun God granted him this full-range perception superpower, but every use consumed his strength and spirit greatly; Song Haoran dared not to overuse it.

“There are seven bomb locations.” Song Haoran recalled the locations of what he had ‘seen’.

“Twenty-three criminals; the leader is Roger…”

Regarding Roger, ordinary citizens may have already forgotten, or never knew.

However, for Song Haoran, who mixed within the dark side of this land, it was naturally clear.

The Iris archives detailed dangerous figures from various South America countries—Roger was indeed one of them.

The son of the Former Imperial Capital Command Chief…

And the ‘Imperial Command’ was undoubtedly the most powerful faction in this country’s underworld.

“A Senate Speaker, guests from various countries, and many upper-class members of society were used as bargaining chips to negotiate with the government; it seems sufficient.”

Song Haoran took off his suit jacket, rolled up the sleeves, and then loosened his neck, revealing a captivating smile.

He enjoyed adventures…

This was just a very nice adventure.

…

…

“Bucky, Doflamingo, Moria, and Crocodile!” The Senate Speaker, an elder, now looked with a heavy expression at this madman before him.

He had finally recalled who Roger was…

The son of a gang leader who had once named his gang so audaciously as ‘Command’!

“The people you want have already been extracted from the places where they were imprisoned.” The Senate Speaker swiftly said, “But you know, bringing them from different places takes time, less than thirty minutes remain, they can’t be delivered here in time!”

“If anyone is late by a minute, I kill one.” Roger said carelessly, “There are quite a few people down there, aren’t there?

Even if they are late by two or three hours, it’s more than enough.”

Madman!

Scum!

The Senate Speaker’s eyes were increasingly filled with anger, yet he couldn’t resist…

He even looked helplessly at the small item thrown on the table by Roger.

To be precise, it was a remote control, with just one red button…

However, this simple thing controlled the lives of all the hostages on site.

Explosives strong enough to destroy the entire theater…

Just thinking about such a dreadful thing buried under his feet, the Senate Speaker couldn’t remain calm.

As for the ‘Greedy Fat Pig’, he was even more unbearable, sweating profusely, trembling all over.

However, listening to Roger’s threatening words, the Senate Speaker had no choice but to quickly dial the phone number again.

Not long after, the elder hurriedly said, “Moria can arrive the quickest, after all, the prison where he is held is the closest to here!

Roger, please don’t completely anger the government, you should know that by extracting people immediately, we show our sincerity.”

“Hmm…

very good.” Roger nodded, “I haven’t seen Moria in a long time.”

Roger smiled, and the Senate Speaker slightly relaxed…

At least this guy wouldn’t do anything too extreme now, right?

Bang——!

“But I’m still very bored.”

The shot hit a member of the orchestral stage in the cheek, passing through from the left cheek to the right.

After this shot, whatever happened below, the Senate Speaker couldn’t even imagine; he just stared in horror at the man’s face with a devil-like smile.

“Don’t make me wait too long.”

“Quick!!

Use any method necessary, I want to see these four guys appear at the theater entrance in half an hour!!!”

…

…

A total of twenty-three bandits, vicious and ruthless.

These people, wherever placed, could bring enormous destruction.

But even so, controlling the entire theater completely with twenty-three people is no easy feat.

Destruction and surveillance are different.

The hostages in the concert hall were manageable.

However, those who had entered the VIP rooms might be stragglers, or perhaps someone took advantage of the chaos to hide.

Two of Roger’s subordinates were searching for these stragglers room by room.

The theater might have many staff outside the concert hall, but as long as they fully control all the hostages inside, it’s enough.

After all, no matter how good the theater employees are, they can’t compare to the members of a regular foreign exchange group.

Thanks to the design of the theater, the bandits only need to guard a few entrances to suppress the scene, then allocate personnel for a step-by-step search.

“Hey, speaking of which, it’s really thanks to the recent murder cases, attracting most of the police force, lessening their surveillance over us, otherwise we wouldn’t have easily mixed into the UPP team.”

With hands holding an P-90 on his chest, one of the bandits appeared to be quite relaxed, walking in the upper corridor of the theater, opening a VIP room with his companion.

Previously, they searched once, now just to fill the gaps.

Roger is an outright madman, but at the same time a careful guy.

No matter how many searches there are, he won’t mind — until his objectives are achieved.

Occasional gunfire rang out, the two knew it was their boss taking pleasure, only exchanged smiles, and continued searching.

At this time, a figure quietly descended from the ceiling of the corridor they had just passed.

It was Song Haoran, who had successfully infiltrated here and heard the movements of the two bandits, climbing onto the ceiling and waiting for them to pass.

When a person lands, there must be sound, however slight.

Hearing the noise, the two bandits instantly turned around, their hands pressing on the P-90, pointing quickly.

However, the figure in front was too fast, in just an instant, one of them had fallen, unable to see how the opponent attacked.

The other bandit was simultaneously knocked to the ground, not even having time to shoot — his joints were in immense pain, his body tangled like an octopus by Song Haoran.

Brazil jujitsu.

Killing was not unfamiliar to Song Haoran, years ago, his father had sent him, only in his teens, into the jungle alone to fight fierce beasts.

From the age of sixteen, he ventured with his father across war-torn places in chaotic South America.

Beneath the appearance of a noble young gentleman, there was a pulsating bloodthirst.

Song Haoran opened his two hands, in front of him, one bandit had his neck twisted, the other was knocked unconscious.

Without hesitation, Song Haoran drew a black military knife from the unconscious bandit and directly slit his throat…

“Twenty-one more.”

What Song Haoran hadn’t noticed was that when the two bandits, especially the one whose throat was slit, died, the ‘Badge of the Sun God’ he carried lightly glowed.

Just as Song Haoran planned to handle these two corpses properly, a strange sound alarmed him.

In fact, activating the ‘Badge of the Sun God’ would make his Perception soar madly, though usually, his senses became more acute over time, it seemed this sensory improvement would continue as days passed.

For instance, hearing, at the moment his hearing far exceeds ordinary people.

And the sound source, was from another VIP room on the side.

Song Haoran’s expression was calm, slowly heading towards that room.

He had already heard the noise…

it was the sound of footsteps.

Surely someone hid in the room, and hearing these footsteps, he could be certain they were terrified and continuously retreating.

Perhaps still looking around, trying to find a place to hide?

Before the door, Song Haoran paused, suddenly showing a smile, calmly saying: “Don’t be nervous, I’m a government agent sent to rescue you.”

…

Just kidding.

PS1: Don’t mock the names of those prisoners, and don’t laugh.

Because you said foreign names are hard to remember, so I used local materials for the convenience of book friends, especially for memory purposes, definitely not because I was too lazy to come up with names (deadpan face).

PS2: Reiterate, don’t laugh, above.
