699: Chapter 112: There’s a Trick Like This? 699: Chapter 112: There’s a Trick Like This?

The room was brightly lit, yet inside it was scenes that were unbearable to look at…

The reckless laughter of men and the compliance of women.

Or rather, compliance might not be the right word to describe the women’s state at this moment.

They were either lying on the ground like the most docile dogs… and the men even held ropes tied to the women in their hands.

The wild laughter mixed with the ecstatic cries formed a whisper of desire.

Zi Xing finally tore her gaze away from the shock—the men and women in the room were currently immersed in the whirlpool of desire, completely unaware that everything here had already fallen under the attention of an intruder.

Zi Xing slowly exhaled a breath of turbid air, frowning, “The women inside seem a bit abnormal…

Their expressions are somewhat lifeless, are they being controlled?”

Mo Xiaofei nodded: “It’s impressive that you could tell at first glance.”

He then let out a bitter laugh: “Actually, when I first saw it, I couldn’t even describe my feelings…

It was truly too unbearable to look at.”

Such a grand scene of group copulation was as shocking to Mo Xiaofei, who hadn’t even held a girl’s hand, as the shock of a sudden thunder during spring—no matter how many times he had seen similar scenes, Mo Xiaofei still couldn’t completely ignore them.

He shook his head, pushing away some chaotic thoughts, “The Nagato House has a certain secret drug, which, after consumption, puts people in a trance-like state.

Hmm…

It’s similar to those ecstasy pills in our society, and this secret drug might have a similar effect.

The women in the village won’t remember much afterward, only vaguely recalling they once had intercourse with men…

But, since they had to do it for ‘survival,’ they don’t mind too much.” “But I still don’t understand,” Zi Xing also shook her head: “I’ve passed through bustling places on my way from the Kondo Family’s main city, and such activities exist there too.

Logically speaking, men from outside wouldn’t need to travel all the way to such a remote place.”

Mo Xiaofei said: “This goes back to the question I asked you at the beginning… don’t you think the women of this village are quite beautiful?” “Hmm?”

Mo Xiaofei sighed: “It’s said that there’s a strange well in Zaodao Village, and as long as a woman drinks from it, she’ll gain unimaginable beauty, and her daughters will inherit such beauty.

Didn’t I mention before that this was originally built by a monster?

The villagers of Zaodao Village have kept the secret of this well for a long time to avoid disaster caused by outsiders’ covetousness.

However, this secret was eventually discovered by the monster due to unknown reasons.” “That monster came for this miraculous well and slaughtered many villagers.

Later, the ancestors of the Kondo Family came to deal with it…

This is roughly how it happened; the exact details are unknown.

What I heard is that the well was destroyed in the battle with the monster.

However, because some of the women in the village had already drunk the well’s water, the trait of beauty was passed down.” “Although many years have passed and it’s impossible to restore the time when every woman was extremely beautiful, at least the girls born in this village are considered quite attractive.

Occasionally, a rare beauty would appear…

Hmm, it’s said that Nagato Saburo’s wife was the most beautiful in Zaodao Village at the time.”

Zi Xing shook her head: “Even beauties exist outside…

Is there anything special about them that attracts men from outside?”

Mo Xiaofei said dreamily: “It’s said that the women of this village are somewhat different…” “Hmm?”

Mo Xiaofei spoke even more dreamily, his gaze askew, “I captured a man and asked him…

He said the women of Zaodao Village, during that thing… oh, I mean, when doing that, bring a particularly intense pleasure that makes people feel very comfortable, and once tried, it’s hard to resist.” “Just because of that?” Zi Xing furrowed her brows.

Mo Xiaofei finally said: “There’s also a rumor that frequent copulation with these women could potentially restore a man’s energy and youth.

Isn’t this place called the Eternal Palace?

That’s probably why.” “Eternal life… through copulation?” Zi Xing’s expression grew serious, then disdainful, shaking her head again: “Is that even possible?

Even the Joyous Zen lineage can’t achieve that; their practices at most involve collecting yin to complement yang, which is a side path, harmful to others and self-serving, ultimately meeting divine retribution.”

What is this Joyous Zen nonsense?

Aren’t you taking this too seriously?

This is clearly just a gimmick concocted by the Nagato House…

Mo Xiaofei didn’t want to discuss such a sensitive topic too much with a girl, especially in such an environment, so he shook his head and said: “Anyway, because of this underground palace’s existence, the Nagato House has secretly amassed quite a lot of wealth.” “Did the Nagato House start this underground palace right after settling in Zaodao Village?” “No, it probably started with the current Lord Nagato’s generation…

The village’s curse began only seven or eight years ago.”

Zi Xing mulled over it: “By the way, Lord Mo, you mentioned there’s something else being kept here?”

She wouldn’t ignore Mo Xiaofei’s earlier mention of ‘feed’—the cells on the other side of the passage. “I don’t know what it is,” Mo Xiaofei said with a hint of fear: “Every time I approach it, I lose consciousness, no matter how many attempts…

I only feel immense pain, like my body being torn apart by something.

I think I might have died.”

Died, and then reincarnated back to the initial time.

With an inexplicable look of fear, Mo Xiaofei gazed at Zi Xing and asked: “Do… you want to take a look?” “No, I want to meet the crazy woman Lord Mo mentioned instead,” Zi Xing looked at Mo Xiaofei and said: “According to the three conditions for triggering a reset that Lord Mo explained, it seems this woman is more crucial.

Besides, if even Lord Mo can’t resist that strange place and loses consciousness, then I won’t fare much better.

Rather than that, I’d choose the ‘safer’ option of meeting the mad woman.”

Exceeding a certain time causes a reset, dying causes a reset…

But encountering the mad woman in the dungeon also resets time—over the past year, this is the direction Mo Xiaofei has been thinking, which is why he’s infiltrated here so many times. “Well then, there’s no time like the present.” “No time like the present.”

Zi Xing once again followed Mo Xiaofei’s steps and asked: “Tell me more about this mad woman.

Besides being Nagato Saburo’s wife, does Lord Mo have any other information?”

Mo Xiaofei, however, looked strange and said: “Speaking of which, this woman’s name is Narukami Haru.” “Narukami?” Zi Xing was taken aback.

The female lead in that movie… was her name Narukami Kunai?

Is there some special connection between the two?

With these thoughts, Zi Xing continued to listen to the information Mo Xiaofei had gathered. “Speaking of which, this Narukami Haru wasn’t born in Zaodao Village.

She was adopted by the previous generation’s Mrs.

Witch at the Mountain Shrine… It’s said she was supposed to inherit the shrine, becoming the new Mrs.

Witch.

But she unexpectedly fell in love with Nagato Saburo and gave up the right to inherit the shrine.”

Zi Xing nodded and suddenly asked, “Lord Mo, have you been to that shrine?”

Mo Xiaofei nodded, “I have.

I initially heard from the bamboo pole that the previous Mrs.

Witch also died under a curse.

But now it seems that her death might also be related to the Nagato House.

As for the new Mrs.

Witch mentioned by the bamboo pole, I haven’t seen her.”

Mo Xiaofei shook his head: “I used the reset ability twice, staying guard at the shrine until the time ended, and still saw no one.

That place seems like it hasn’t been lived in for a long time.

Overall, it gives me a very eerie feeling.” “Lord Mo, Zaodao Village is filled with doubts.

It’s unusual for you and me to be drawn into this world…” Zi Xing said solemnly: “Moreover, meeting you just makes me more certain that back in the cinema, perhaps it wasn’t just you and me who were pulled here.” “You mean… everyone present is in this Yan Wuyue World?”

Zi Xing added: “Was this movie only shown in a single cinema?” “It’s not a big-budget movie.” Mo Xiaofei said, biting his finger: “Typically, a horror film like this doesn’t get many screenings…

But if we consider nationwide viewings, there could be quite a few.

The key point is, it wasn’t only shown once.

I remember the movie ‘Pen Immortal’ has been in theaters for almost three weeks… wait a minute, if the movie itself really could pull people into this strange world, then why are those who finished watching it able to leave the cinema unharmed?” “That’s exactly what puzzles me…

Maybe I’m thinking in the wrong direction.” Zi Xing shook her head and abruptly stopped, having heard some peculiar sounds.

She looked at Mo Xiaofei, who nodded slightly, “It’s just ahead… that madwoman.

Wait, remember to tread lightly.

After trying so many times, I discovered that as long as this crazy woman doesn’t find you, the reset won’t happen if she sees you.

Thus, the reset condition related to her should be: being noticed by her.”

The two of them cautiously peeked from around the corner, watching the madwoman confined a short distance away.

The madwoman, at this moment, was sitting directly on the ground, motionless, seemingly unaware of being observed.

Mo Xiaofei retreated a step and shook his head helplessly, “Just like that, this woman will sit like this for a whole day without moving.” “What does she… eat?” “I once saw Lord Nagato personally bring over some food.

But he just tossed it in casually and left without hardly a glance.” Mo Xiaofei whispered, “Usually, it’s a servant from this underground palace.

This servant can’t hear or see, only working mechanically… I don’t know how they were trained.

But I guess they don’t come often… so sometimes she even swallows bugs and mice whole.” “No matter what, we have to try.” Zi Xing took a deep breath. “Lord Mo, remember the name I told you?”

Mo Xiaofei was stunned, then nodded, “I remember… Zhen Long.

Is that your name?

Come to think of it, I don’t know your name yet.”

He feigned a lighthearted tone, possibly trying to ease the current atmosphere… because he didn’t know what would happen if there was one more person this time.

Admittedly, the first time, there was also that goddess—after all, the goddess originally belonged to Yan Wuyue World, unlike the girl Zhuifeng liked. “My name is Zi Xing.” She glanced at Mo Xiaofei, “Zhen Long, Lord Mo, can just be a code name to you.” “Oh… alright.” Mo Xiaofei nodded, then something stirred in his mind… Zi Xing, the name seemed so familiar, like he had heard it somewhere before?

Suddenly he couldn’t recall… a year’s worth of reincarnated nightmares made the ‘past’ somewhat blurry to him.

Zi Xing… Zi Xing?

Wait, isn’t this the name of the young master of the Greed Clan my teacher asked me to find… is it the same name or?

Just as Mo Xiaofei was about to ask, Zi Xing had already stepped out, approaching the madwoman.

At this point, Mo Xiaofei could no longer afford to think much, hastily following along.

The madwoman inside the cell seemed deaf to the approaching footsteps, silently sitting on the ground.

Zi Xing and Mo Xiaofei exchanged a glance, then fixed their eyes on the madwoman… Narukami Haru. “Narukami…”

Narukami Haru moved slightly.

Zi Xing continued, “Narukami Haru, right?”

Narukami Haru shifted again, though she still did not lift her head, evidently responding to Zi Xing’s voice.

At this moment, Zi Xing got closer to the bars, squatted down, and softly said, “Mom…

It’s me, Tsuruko!” “Tsuruko…

Tsuruko… my daughter?” With disheveled hair, Narukami Haru slowly lifted her head, her eyes seemingly about to crack wide open, now widened even more as she stared blankly at Zi Xing outside the bars.

Every time Narukami Haru realized her presence, he would feel dizzy, and in an instant, it would reset to daytime.

But this time… this dizzy feeling didn’t occur.

Mo Xiaofei incredulously watched Narukami Haru’s state, still somewhat unhinged, yet clearly not as deranged, even continuously repeating Tsuruko’s name, seeming to recall something. “Mother…

It’s me, Tsuruko.” Zi Xing continued softly, “Tsuruko finally found you… Mother, I’ve missed you so painfully!”

With words and tears showing sensitivity!

Mo Xiaofei moved his lips…

Could there really be such an approach??
