661: Chapter 74: The Final Gamble 661: Chapter 74: The Final Gamble If someone had told Liu Zixing a few days ago that he would end up with nothing, utterly isolated, he wouldn’t have believed it.

However, the unfolding events told him that this had already become a reality.

The Liu family’s assets no longer belonged to him, and even in the company, there was no place for him to stay.

His mother, Madam Liu, had been so ruthless as to have the company security chase him away.

Yet even so, in his dire situation, Liu Zixing did not despair… At least, he had received a hefty sum of money from Professor Cui Fo.

He thought that with at least this wealth in hand, his life wouldn’t be too bad.

He imagined that maybe after some time, his mother would still remember her son.

She was just too disappointed in him and wanted to teach him a profound lesson… It must be like that.

Once he had suffered enough, his mother would surely forgive him—just as she always had, no matter how many mistakes he made, he could always find forgiveness.

Why wouldn’t she forgive me?

Mother only has one son, after all.

It must be like this. “I’m sorry, sir, this check cannot be cashed.”

But in the bank’s VIP room, the bank manager told Liu Zixing a harsh reality that shattered all his illusions, “Mr.

Liu, the account linked to this check has been frozen, so no funds can be transferred.

I’m really sorry.”

His expulsion from the company and even being chased out of the Liu family’s mansion hadn’t yet spread completely outside.

At least in the eyes of this bank manager, Mr.

Liu was still a VIP customer. “Frozen?

How could it be frozen?

That’s impossible!

When I received it, I checked, and the account was fine!” Liu Zixing asked anxiously, like a drowning man who had lost his lifeline.

The bank manager could only frown and say, “Well…

It looks like the account was frozen by a foreign court.

I think the account owner might have done something wrong.

I’m sorry, Mr.

Liu, I really don’t know more, since it’s a foreign account.

Why don’t you… try to contact the account owner for a clear explanation?”

Liu Zixing left the bank in despair, crazily dialing Professor Cui Fo’s number on his way… but the number no longer existed.

Couldn’t find that old foreign man at all…

Couldn’t return to the Liu family’s mansion at all.

What should I do?

What should I do… what should I do?

In front of the bank, he suddenly felt like everything in front of him had turned black, as if he was in a twisted mirror world.

What should I do… what should I do… what should I do?

Liu Zixing suddenly felt something bumping against his body, and with the collision, his arm was grabbed directly by someone. “What are you… what are you trying to do!” “Young Master Liu, please come with us!” “Let go of me!”

He struggled, even trying to shout, but a strange-smelling handkerchief swiftly covered his nose, and then he lost consciousness.

When Liu Zixing came to, or rather, was awakened by cold water being splashed on him, he found himself inside a cage less than a meter high, probably only eighty centimeters at most… surrounded by more cages!

Pairs of ferocious eyes were staring at him—it turned out to be a bunch of sharp-toothed vicious dogs—he was locked in a dog cage!

And this place was… a dog yard! “Young Master Liu, do you like this place?” In front of the cage, a bald man squatted down and patted the bars of the cage with his palm, making a thumping sound, “This is specially prepared for you.” “Br… Brother Panther, we can work something out, why not release me first?” Liu Zixing pleaded.

He knew who this person was… one of the thugs working for the underground casino boss he owed a huge gambling debt to… Over the past few days, because of family affairs, Liu Zixing had completely forgotten about the vast gambling debt he owed to this casino. “Young Master Liu, the agreed time has long passed.

Isn’t it time to repay the money you promised us?” “Give… give me a little more time, I can definitely get it.

Brother Panther, please let me out first… It’s uncomfortable here!”

At almost one meter eighty in height, he was stuffed into such a narrow dog cage, which was extremely uncomfortable.

He didn’t even know how long he had been here before he woke up, his blood circulation was already blocked, making it even more uncomfortable—not to mention, being treated like a dog in such a place. “Our boss has been quite lenient.” Brother Panther snorted coldly and kicked the cage with a heavy blow.

The force was so great that it created a loud noise, startling the vicious dogs around him!

The startled vicious dogs began to bark frantically, the chaotic noise like the beating of a death knell, scaring Liu Zixing until his face turned pale, his body trembling, forcing him to cover his ears in fear.

It was only when Brother Panther clapped his hands that the dogs stopped barking, squatting down, but still staring at Liu Zixing. “Young Master Liu, I don’t want to make things difficult for you either.

As long as you pay the money back, I’ll have someone escort you out without any issues.” “I…

I don’t have it right now.” Liu Zixing didn’t even dare to look the bald man in the eyes. “Young Master Liu, with such a big company and having inherited so much from your father…

If you say you have nothing, isn’t that a big joke?” Brother Panther sneered, “Could it be that Young Master Liu actually has some peculiar hobby and just likes being locked in a dog cage?

No problem, I’ll instruct these little beasts to entertain you well, ensuring your comfort!” “No… don’t do this, Brother Panther.

I’m telling the truth, I really have no money.” Liu Zixing said painfully. “Bring me the phone!” Brother Panther snorted, calling for the little follower outside to bring the phone, and dialed it right in front of Liu Zixing.

The bald Brother Panther stared at Liu Zixing.

Once the call connected, he wasted no time in speaking, “Is this the Liu family’s mansion?

Who am I?

Who are you?

Ah…

Madam Liu, a pleasure.

Here’s the thing…”

He was calling the Liu family…

Liu Zixing immediately recognized the weak voice coming from the phone.

It was his mother, Madam Liu’s, voice.

Liu Zixing looked on in horror as it all unfolded…

Would his mother save him?

His heart pounded, and his breathing quickened—Brother Panther even deliberately put the call on speakerphone. “Liu Zixing?

I don’t have a son by that name; we cut ties long ago.

Listen carefully, I don’t care who you are, I don’t care if he’s in your hands, I don’t care if you cut off his ears, fingers, or even chop him up to feed to the dogs.

It has nothing to do with me!

But if you dare to come to my home causing trouble, I won’t let you off easily!”

Mother… is that you?

Is that really your voice… is it… really?

Liu Zixing’s entire body turned cold and trembled in panic.

The call was abruptly disconnected, and Brother Panther narrowed his eyes, filled with murderous intent, staring silently at Liu Zixing! “Boss, his mom sounded serious.

You think they really cut ties?” “Cut ties?” Brother Panther sneered, “Do you think being as much of a bastard as you are, when you return home, would your mom just curse you but leave you to die?”

The little follower shrugged, indicating no.

Brother Panther snorted, “I just can’t believe there’s a mother in this world who would leave her son to die…

Cut off one of this guy’s ears and send it to his house!

Let’s see if she can remain indifferent!” “Got it!” The little follower was evidently well-practiced.

Brother Panther walked outside, then two more men came in.

One of them held a utility knife.

The sharp blade was extended segment by segment in front of Liu Zixing, slowly closing in on him. “You… stay away!

No… ah!!!!”

The piercing scream once again made the ferocious dogs in the kennel cheer in unison.

After the little followers packaged a bloody ear, they performed a quick blood-stopping procedure on Liu Zixing and then left the room.

They turned off the white incandescent light but switched on a dim red light, making the air seem to stick with thick blood, as the dogs’ barking continued.

Liu Zixing had lost all rationality due to terror, the pain from the wound on his ear, the fear surrounding him… and the despair within his heart led him to finally take out that closely hidden item from within his body.

A black card…

His vision immediately changed…

In an instant, he felt at ease, entering a quiet and comfortable environment.

This starkly contrasted with the terrifying kennel where he was trapped; it was like comparing hell and heaven.

This place… felt just like heaven.

The familiar boss he had once seen before now stood up and bowed slowly to him, with a respectful demeanor that made Liu Zixing once again feel like he was the Young Master of the Liu family, receiving the treatment he deserved when frequenting various places. “We meet again, Mr.

Liu…” Boss Luo said softly, “I wonder, this time, what would the guest like to purchase?” “Save…” Liu Zixing barely opened his mouth before quickly stopping himself.

It couldn’t be that simple.

This time he must think clearly, think… think about how to regain everything he lost.

So… could it be possible to win back everything from this mysterious place?

He didn’t know…

But if he didn’t try, there would definitely be no chance.

So, let’s make a gamble—a final gamble! “I…

I want to make a bet with you!”
