688: Chapter 101: The Cursed Green Hat 688: Chapter 101: The Cursed Green Hat Izanagi-no-Mikoto washed his right eye, giving birth to the god Tsukuyomi, who governs the night.

Within the Shrine of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, despite the conflict among the Three Nobles, he remained very courteous to the arriving Amaterasu-ōmikami.

This was not a matter of strength, but of who was born first. “…Father God and Mother God, is it really as you’ve said?”

After a confidential discussion, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto’s face changed repeatedly.

He is the god who governs the night, being the Moon Goddess.

The moon is flawless and pure… yet the moon also has a side unseen by sunlight.

Exquisitely beautiful, like a maiden, the Moon Goddess now had a touch of gloom on her face.

The struggle among the Three Nobles was for the authority over the Yan Wuyue World, but if all this power were to be stolen by the Evil Demon, the struggle among the Three Nobles would be rendered meaningless. “Has Sister informed Susanoo-no-Mikoto?” Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto asked seriously after pondering for a moment.

At this moment, heavy footsteps echoed through the Shrine, and a gigantic samurai clad in crimson armor barged in directly.

None of the attendants and miko outside dared to step forward to block him. “Amaterasu, why have you summoned me here?”

The newcomer was indeed the last of the Three Nobles, the ruler of the seas, born when Izanagi washed his nose, Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

Yet another confidential discussion ensued.

Upon hearing this, Susanoo-no-Mikoto was not any better than Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto in his reaction.

Although Susanoo-no-Mikoto was puzzled by the sudden appearance of this Evil Demon, regarding the seriousness of the Evil Demon stealing the world’s essence, something like this could not be falsely reported by Amaterasu—this was something that could be clarified as long as they ascended the Yatsumi Palace to ask Father God and Mother God.

Moreover, Amaterasu also brought a token from Izanagi, so despite the doubts in the hearts of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto and Susanoo-no-Mikoto, they could not but comply. “Father God’s intention is for us Three Nobles to take action and jointly vanquish the Evil Demon stealing the world?” Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto contemplated for a moment.

Amaterasu replied, “Father God and Mother God need to guard the Yatsumi Palace.

If they leave, the Evil Demon might take advantage of it.”

The origin of everything was at that Heavenly Rock Pillar’s Yatsumi Palace, the center of the Yan Wuyue World.

Because of these two gods’ guardianship, the Yan Wuyue World remained stable. “I will immediately summon my subordinates.

But Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, you both must give it your all!” Susanoo-no-Mikoto was straightforward, “We all know each other’s roots.

Any concealment will be obvious!”

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto calmly responded, “Alright.”

Amaterasu also nodded slowly, “Before I came here, Takamagahara had already begun to gather forces, and I have instructed the two Munakata Goddesses to investigate Zaodao Village.

By now, we should have news.”

Susanoo-no-Mikoto knelt down loudly, “Regardless of any Evil Demon, I will sever it with one sword!”

This was… the dread god who slew the Yamata no Orochi, the murderous aura surrounding him was much more intense than that of the other two of the Three Nobles.

A streak of light came to the Shrine of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, stopping outside, and it was Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto, one of the three goddesses.

However, unlike Susanoo-no-Mikoto, she dared not intrude recklessly. “Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto, come in,” Amaterasu-ōmikami raised her hand.

Once Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto entered, she knelt in front of the Three Nobles.

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto sat at the center above, with the other two on each side—it was, after all, the domain of the Moon God in the Land of Night.

The eyes of the Three Nobles were fixed on Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto, making her extremely nervous, pondering over the severity of the situation. “Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto, why have you come alone?” Amaterasu frowned.

Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto quickly replied, “Divine Lord, after we went to Famen Mountain as commanded…”

She meticulously explained everything, “…in the end, Ichikujikunohime-no-Mikoto remained to observe the human samurai, while I returned to report!” “That human samurai, can really sever Divine Power?” Susanoo-no-Mikoto’s voice resounded like thunder in the Shrine’s hall. “Witnessed with my own eyes!” “Sasaki Kojiro?” Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto frowned, “I have some impression of this human samurai.

He once eradicated several monsters in the Land of Night, pursuing the ultimate swordsmanship.

In the mortal world, he is unmatched in swordsmanship.

But even advancing further, he shouldn’t have the ability to sever Divine Power.

Yet he strangely appears in Zaodao Village, does it mean…”

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto glanced around, noticing the solemnity on Amaterasu-ōmikami and Susanoo-no-Mikoto’s faces.

Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto was terrified by the idea of a mortal possessing the ability to destabilize the godly rule, while the Three Nobles were alarmed at the thought that it might be the work of the Evil Demon intending to steal the world. “I’ll return to the sea to gather the Devils!” Susanoo-no-Mikoto stood up without a second thought, “Three days later, gather at Famen Mountain!” “Then, I shall return to Takamagahara first,” Amaterasu-ōmikami also stood up, “Okitsu-Shima-Hime-No-Mikoto, return with me first.” “Farewell, Sister,” Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto rose to see them off. …

Although called Ghost Island, to Da Zhe, it looked more like a place built from countless reefs.

The entire island wasn’t large, yet no grass grew, presenting only desolation, with the sky above densely covered with dark clouds, flashing with lightning and echoing with thunder.

Whether this place was like this every day or it was just his misfortune to encounter this ghostly weather, he wasn’t sure. “Stop!

Who are you!”

A massive shadow, three meters tall, suddenly appeared on the cliff ahead, wielding a spiked giant club in its hand, with a single horn on its head, entirely crimson—a one-eyed humanoid monster. “Is this the Devil?” Da Zhe examined it, then grasped the key, and with a wave of his hand, a brilliant blue appeared, subtly echoing with the sound of a sword. “How long has it been since you last fought…” Seeing Zhan Lu’s excited expression, Da Zhe couldn’t help but shake his head.

The crimson-bodied Devil jumped down, furious, “Human, how dare you ignore me!

I want you dead!”

Da Zhe frowned, “Is there… only you here?” “To kill you and eat you, I’m enough!” the Devil sneered.

Da Zhe moved his lips, but ultimately remained silent.

The Devil, seeing this demeanor, erupted in fury, “Human, how dare you look down on me!

Roar!!!” “First of all, I shouldn’t taste good…” Da Zhe shook his head, “Moreover, I don’t speak not to discourage you… because my companion just said something to me.” “What did he say?”

Da Zhe calmly said, “If I strike with this sword, you will die…”

Zhan Lu flashed out, Sword Qi swept across, and the red-bodied Devil that was still roaring was instantly torn to pieces.

Even the giant club in its hand, made from who knows what material, was cut into dozens of segments. “Maybe I went a bit overboard…” Da Zhe walked over to inspect the Devil’s corpse—there was nothing particularly frightening about it, blood…

Da Zhe had seen plenty of it before.

He just raised the Zhan Lu in his hand, and whispered, “So… how long has it been since you last fought?”

Zhan Lu buzzed, and unexpectedly charged forward, Da Zhe barely managed to hold on, but his body was lifted directly by Zhan Lu, rushing straight towards the depths of Ghost Island.

Bang—!

With a loud noise, the entire Ghost Island seemed to shake.

A stream of light crashed directly into one of the mountain peaks on Ghost Island, sinking into it directly!

When Da Zhe, coughing, brushed the dust from around him and casually wiped the dirt off his body, he felt countless gazes falling upon him.

He couldn’t help but look up.

In front of him was an enormous cave, layer upon layer… at this moment, scattered all around, were scarlet-colored, green-bodied, short-pant-clad Devils in leopard print, numbering in the hundreds, each with a hideous face, staring at him in shock. “Human!!

Roar!!” “Kill him!!” “Stew him!!” “If I strike with this sword, you might all die…

Zhan Lu, can’t you say something other than that every time?”

Sword light crisscrossed. … … “Why are there no males…” Mo Xiaofei paused, “Without that, you will die?”

The bamboo pole looked down, not daring to meet Mo Xiaofei’s gaze, crying, “The young women in the village, once they turn fourteen, are all cursed…

Without the masculine Essence Qi, they cannot survive more than a month.

The village… many women have already fallen to untimely deaths.”

Mo Xiaofei was taken aback.

Putting aside the question of where this curse came from, there seemed to be a flaw in the logic of the bamboo pole’s explanation, so he frowned and said, “You say many girls have already died?

It doesn’t seem right… if having intercourse once is enough to sustain a month, shouldn’t marriage solve this issue quite well?”

To Mo Xiaofei, such a curse would at most lead the people of Zaodao Village to marry earlier… which was common in ancient times anyway. “If only it were that simple,” the bamboo pole lamented, “But the terrifying part of this curse is that the same essence can only sustain one woman for a month.

By the next month, another different being’s essence is needed.” “This, this…” Mo Xiaofei’s eyes widened immediately.

They have to engage with different men each month to survive?

What kind of cursed promise is this… wives must embrace other men, is it some cuckold curse—a monthly village ritual swap, a grotesque roleplay?? “And you, bamboo pole…” Mo Xiaofei looked at the bamboo pole awkwardly, “How old… are you this year?” “Just turned fourteen…” The bamboo pole looked at Mo Xiaofei with soft eyes, her pale face suddenly flushing a bit, “Lord Kojiro, I, bamboo pole, am still a maiden.”

Her voice became so faint it was almost inaudible.

Mo Xiaofei swallowed, the air suddenly quieted around him.

At last, he took a deep breath and said, “I’m sorry, although I won’t stand by and do nothing… this is truly beyond what I can help with.

Moreover, why approach someone like me, an outsider to the village?”

The bamboo pole gritted her teeth and had no choice but to say, “Lord Kojiro, we cannot leave Zaodao Village.

If we do, we die immediately…

Therefore, even if the women outside the village want to search for men to unite with, it’s impossible.

Hence, outside men are particularly crucial for us…

Lord Kojiro, please save the bamboo pole and the other women in the village.

Many of them are nearing their limits, unable to find new masculine Essence Qi… if you are willing, we could at least survive another month…”

Mo Xiaofei got up, pacing back and forth in the room, shaking his head, “This is too abnormal…

Don’t you have a Shrine and Lady Miko?

Why isn’t the priestess helping you?” “Lady Miko suffers from the curse too,” the bamboo pole said miserably, “The previous Lady Miko died because she couldn’t find a suitable man within the time limit, and the current Lady Miko still has half a year before turning fourteen… but she’s just… still so young.”

Probably out of respect for the priestess, they only attributed her inability to age, despite knowing she couldn’t handle it.

Wait a minute, according to the story, shouldn’t Zaodao Village’s Lady Miko, with strong Mana, eventually purify Pen Immortal with the help of the heroine?

Although Mo Xiaofei wasn’t sure of the detailed plot, the trajectory should be like that!

But now…

Wait a minute…

Mo Xiaofei suddenly remembered the goddess waiting outside, and his heart stirred.

The priestess couldn’t handle the curse, but if a goddess intervened, she should have no problem.

Witnessing would shatter Mo Xiaofei’s faith, so he promptly said, “Bamboo pole, I understand your situation.

I will think of a way to solve it.

But you must tell me, what is the origin of this curse!” “Lord Kojiro?” The bamboo pole looked up in surprise.

Mo Xiaofei had to say, “If there’s a monster causing chaos, I at least have some skills to deal with it!”

The bamboo pole exclaimed in delight, “Lord Kojiro, are you a monster-handler Samurai?!” “Something like that,” Mo Xiaofei nodded reluctantly.

Just then, footsteps suddenly sounded outside, and the outside glowed with fire, voices rising and falling.

The door to the room opened hurriedly, revealing Xizhilang, the bamboo pole’s father.

Xizhilang’s eyes moved between the bamboo pole and Mo Xiaofei, and seeing they were both fully dressed, his face showed disappointment before he said, “Lord Kojiro, Lord Nagato is waiting outside, please meet with him.”

Mo Xiaofei frowned and asked abruptly, “Did you tip them off?

Intend to catch me and keep me here?”

His voice was stern, carrying a hint of anger, and in this body there was an inherent extraordinary demeanor.

Xizhilang, knowing his fault, trembled and knelt, “Lord Kojiro, I’m sorry, I…

I have no choice!

If Lord Nagato knows about my concealment, I…

I…”

Women die from the curse, but men seem unrestricted, only unable to leave the village…

Xizhilang feared offending the Bushi Household in charge here, naturally. “May I ask, is Lord Kojiro here?

Would you mind stepping out to meet?”

A deep voice slowly came, and Mo Xiaofei’s eyes focused: he used his perspective ability!

Outside Xizhilang’s house, people were gathered, mostly villagers holding torches, a few dozen leading, dressed better, holding lanterns, and at the forefront was a Samurai with a sidearm katana, around fifty years old… probably the so-called Lord Nagato.
