682: Chapter 95: Mainland Fragments 682: Chapter 95: Mainland Fragments The Kondo Family, as the main house on this land, naturally possesses supreme power.

However, throughout the realm of Izumo, there are many tomb-robbing families like the Kondo Family, and above them are the noble families of generations, even the King himself.

But Kondo Hyoe, the head of the Kondo Family, is a diligent and ambitious person.

Under his management, the fief is showing a trend of prosperity.

Unfortunately, Kondo Hyoe has never had offspring, and no male child has been born in all the direct blood relatives of the entire family.

How can a lord of a city not have direct heirs…

But there truly are none, so what can Kondo Hyoe do?

Every day he sighs and feels extremely desperate.

Later, with no other choice, he heeded the advice of his family retainers and counselors by adopting the only daughter of his deceased elder brother into his own name, hoping that when she grows up, she will choose a husband and give birth to descendants.

This is the origin of Kondo Tsukihime…

and also what Zi Xing learned during the past two days.

What can be said?

Zi Xing has confirmed that this is the movie world, but unfortunately, she has not seen any synopsis of the movie and naturally does not know the subsequent plot.

What she knows is just some information revealed at the beginning of the movie—even Kondo Tsukihime, she discovered her current identity by herself.

The soul is drawn into such an illusory world, such means Zi Xing has never heard of.

She only feels as if there is an ever-present gaze observing her every move, making it impossible for her to stay calm.

If it weren’t for the inability to awaken Yin Greedy Wolf, even if pulled into this peculiar illusory world, how could she have no power to resist?

Just not knowing, apart from herself, Zhuifeng…

as well as those humans in the cinema, and the disciple of that Master Long, are they also somewhere in this illusory world, having transformed into ‘someone’?

White rice, grilled fish, miso soup, and some scattered pickles, though the portions are small, quite a few dishes are used…

As for Kondo Tsukihime’s frail body, without a bit of food, Zi Xing fears she herself won’t be able to walk properly.

“Auntie Chunzi, add more meat dishes for dinner,” Zi Xing suddenly instructed the nanny who has been taking care of her as she continued eating.

Even though this is an illusory world, the food here is not at all polluted; its taste is even comparable to her food on the Siberian plateau.

This princess has been frail and sickly since childhood; even a small amount of meat would cause her to vomit.

It’s rare for her appetite to increase these past two days, and with her complexion gradually turning rosy, Auntie Chunzi agreed joyfully and confidently.

“When will father return?” Zi Xing put down her chopsticks, placed her hands into her sleeves, and gently asked Chunzi.

Originally the young master of a clan, and even the sacrificial priest of Greedy Wolf, her demeanor is naturally impeccable, and she easily replicates and even surpasses the elegance and composure that Kondo Tsukihime once had.

Since the day this princess awoke, the change in her eyes could not be concealed from Chunzi, who has always cared for her.

Though she had her doubts, strict social hierarchy in the realm of Izumo meant servants dared not question their masters.

Upon hearing, Chunzi knelt with her forehead to the ground quickly and replied, “The Family Head is inspecting the lower villages, expected to return around the beginning of Frost Moon, which is still about twenty-five or six days away.”

“Have you heard of Zaodao Village?” Zi Xing asked abruptly.

“Zaodao?” Chunzi pondered briefly and then answered, “It should be near the foot of Famen Mountain, I’ve only heard of it but never been there.”

“In that case, prepare,” Zi Xing thought for a moment and said, “Call some attendants, tomorrow I shall go to Famen Mountain and find that Zaodao Village.”

“This…

Princess, you must not.

How can you wander out of the city on a whim?

It’s said that last month, from Anyi Country, a group of samurai retainers and deserters turned rogue, flooding into Izumo and plundering everywhere…

It’s reported that a fierce dog monster is also appearing nearby, making it extremely dangerous…”

“No more words, my mind is decided.” Zi Xing said firmly with a clear voice, “Do you dare disobey my order?”

“Chunzi does not dare!” She looked up in terror, with fear on her face, then lowered her head again, moving on her knees and slowly backing out the door, not daring to lift her head the entire time.

“Zaodao Village…

so, it indeed exists,” Zi Xing murmured to herself at this moment, “To understand why we’ve come to this illusory land, we must uncover the truth behind that divination…

Now that my demonic power is entirely absent, with a frail body, I can only rely on the strength of the Kondo Family.

Fortunately, I am such a princess; were I to become a commoner from the outer city, I fear I could do nothing…”

…

A few months later, a samurai wielding a longsword and an additional clergyman holding a magic wand were pursuing in the forest.

Yet, among the forest thickets, a silhouette was swiftly leaping across the branches—a head of white and messy long hair, upright long ears, along with emerald-green pupils and a long tail.

Zhuifeng glanced back with some annoyance at the fellows chasing him—since he opened his eyes, he saw these guys charging at him shouting about hunting monsters, trying to gain some merit or whatever.

Hunt your sister…

This grandpa wouldn’t change his name sitting or standing; I am called Zhuifeng, okay?

The Inuyasha you want to hunt, how the heck would I know who he is?

Furthermore, this disheveled body I’m in, wearing this red robe, is really uncomfortable.

Yet the strength of this body is not at all less than my former self, and it seems even the demonic power is slightly higher.

Though I’m unclear why watching a movie suddenly turned into this…

at least I am still a monster—albeit transformed from a wolf monster into a dog monster?

“If you keep chasing me, don’t blame me for not being polite!” Zhuifeng looked back and shouted at the most aggressive samurai.

“Inuyasha, I, Amakusa Juusanrou, shall surely hunt you down today!

Aha!!”

“Then don’t blame me for being rude!”

Although he always followed Lord Long’s rules, not to harm humans arbitrarily and cause chaos…

but this damned place doesn’t seem like the original one, and Zhuifeng isn’t the type to stay still and get beaten.

People are coming to kill him, and he can’t fight back; it’s utterly stupid, isn’t it?

“Soul-Tracking Iron Claw!”

Zhuifeng suddenly turned around, swinging his hand toward the samurai at the forefront, leaping down fiercely from the tree.

One could see the sharp nails on his fingers glowing with a crimson light, directly clawing a terrifying wound on that samurai’s shoulder.

“Be cautious!

This demi-demon is about to go berserk, showing its vicious nature!” The lone clergyman’s expression tensed, hands together as if chanting an incantation.

This body, called Inuyasha, has slightly more power than my original demonic strength.

Back then, even when Zhuifeng was besieged by a pack of wild monsters, he could still fight tirelessly, let alone now?

In the forest, this substitutive demi-demon, swinging both claws, didn’t even use that longsword tied at the waist.

He fiercely tore through this group of samurai and clergy, causing them to cry piteously.

In just a moment, all were down on the ground, severely wounded and ready for slaughter.

It would be easy to eliminate these guys further, but first, he needed to figure out exactly what kind of bizarre place this was…

Moreover, since he arrived here, perhaps Big Brother Mo Xiao and Zi Xing might be here too…

“Inuyasha, kill if you must!” The leading samurai showed some fortitude.

Zhuifeng frowned, smashed down a fist, broke one of the guy’s teeth, and lifted him, “Answer whatever I ask!

If you don’t tell me, then…”

He pondered and couldn’t come up with any threats, so he bluntly said, “I’ll shave all your hair and eyebrows clean!”

“`

Zhuifeng wasn’t expecting much effect, but to his surprise, the Samurai turned pale, trembling with fear, and said, “No… I’ll tell you everything!”

Huh, are the people here all afraid of getting their heads shaved…

“What is this place?” Zhuifeng didn’t bother with more questions and asked directly.

“This is Famen Mountain…”

…

“Famen Mountain… alright, thank you, uncle.”

“It’s truly my honor to help you, Respected Samurai!!”

Isn’t it so?

Aren’t those samurai usually fierce and ruthless, easily angered by the slightest offense?

Such a kind and affable Respected Samurai is indeed rare… especially in such a rural area.

Probably a wandering samurai without his own fiefdom, or perhaps a descendant of samurais.

As he thought about it, the farmer uncle quietly raised his head, only to find that the young samurai had already vanished, leaving him in silent wonder.

Little did he know, the Respected Samurai he spoke of was still silently watching him from above the sky.

Mo Xiaofei touched the hairstyle that was utterly despairing to him, his body floating freely in the sky.

Watching as the uncle he had just asked for directions gradually moved away, he furrowed his brows, “So it seems I’ve traversed… a soul-transference like in legends, into the Movie World of Pen Immortal that I’m watching?”

With a superpower of his own, a teacher who is a true dragon of China, and having seen quite a few monsters, along with a more mysterious club owner, Mo Xiaofei’s acceptance level is naturally incomparable.

“Hmm… although the body has changed, my abilities seem to be unaffected.” Mo Xiaofei continued to stroke his chin, “I used to experience a large burden on the body using superpowers.

Later, though there was no worry in that regard, using it too extremely still caused the body to feel slightly worn… Here, there is no such feeling at all.

Is it due to this body being stronger than mine?

Seems like that’s not the reason…”

Still in a phase of scant awareness regarding his extraordinary abilities, Mo Xiaofei was unaware of how utterly astonishing it was having easily ‘defeated’ two advanced warriors of the Wolf Clan, given his human body.

“I wonder about the class monitor now…”

Thinking of the class monitor as nothing more than a most ordinary girl, and in such an eerie and mysterious world, he had no idea what dangers she might encounter.

Mo Xiaofei was extremely worried… but at this moment, he had no leads or an idea of where to start looking.

“No, if this really is the Movie World of Pen Immortal… and if the class monitor has been dragged into it as well, she might look for that village.”

This is probably the advantage brought by telekinesis… an enhancement of intuition.

“Since this is already Famen Mountain, then that village should not be too far… Class monitor, wait for me!”

…

…

Boss Luo was naturally not the severe red-clad old man from the maid’s tales, and she herself was not the Snow Maiden.

Though quietly delivering gifts to customers passing by on Christmas Eve did carry a slight taste of it.

But why is it always me doing the deliveries?

Da Zhe silently followed behind the boss and the maid — for instance, just now in the prison, it was he who stealthily slipped in and placed the gift box in front of the death row bed — as for the boss and the maid… those two were just strolling outside.

“The Tu Jiaya sisters are abroad, so let’s wait a bit and deliver to those still in this city first.

After that… let’s go to…”

The boss was discussing the delivery route with the maid — although in fact, it needn’t be such trouble, a mere thought could deliver hundreds or thousands at the same time right in front of all the customers.

Personally delivering it ultimately seems a bit more sincere, businesspeople should always prioritize customers.

“Hmm… hmm?”

Yet, the boss suddenly stopped in his tracks on the street, looking toward the front of a cinema beside him.

You Ye also looked over, her neat eyebrows slightly raised, naturally noticing what her master had discovered.

Luo Qiu thought for a moment, suddenly smiling slightly, and directly walked into the cinema.

The maid and Da Zhe followed along… until they stopped in front of one of the halls inside the theater… and pushed open the door to enter.

The ticket-checking employee at the door didn’t notice at all.

In the pitch-black theater, aside from the light and sound from the huge screen, none of the audience made a sound… which wasn’t surprising, if the movie had no dull moments and kept their nerves taut, audiences would naturally be thoroughly absorbed with nothing seeming amiss.

“Strange… why do these people seem a bit abnormal?”

Da Zhe looked at each audience member seated, noticing they each had a vacant stare as if they had lost their soul… not something caused by complete immersion leading to such quietness, but rather it seemed they had no consciousness at all.

“They are fine.” Luo Qiu said calmly, “They have simply been temporarily absorbed into it.

When the movie ends, they’ll naturally return to normal, merely feeling they watched a thrilling film… though their memories will be somewhat hazy.”

“In there?” Da Zhe was taken aback, instinctively looking at the movie playing on the big screen, “Boss, you mean… inside the movie?”

The maid softly added, “To be precise, inside the illusionary world of the movie… hmm, master, I didn’t expect to encounter fragmented world pieces here.

I wonder who is using these fragments to create such a… feast?”

“A feast?” Luo Qiu smiled faintly, “If this movie continues screening across major cinemas nationwide, it would indeed be apt to refer to it as a feast.”

Illusionary world… fragments of a world.

Da Zhe looked from the boss to the maid, not understanding but impressed nonetheless.

“Let’s enter.” Boss Luo headed down the aisle inside the theater, walking towards the screen, “It’s the perfect opportunity to give this guest a gift… and, there’s more than one.”

Boss Luo’s body seemed to pass through the light, ultimately ‘entering’ the screen.

As the maid prepared to follow, she suddenly turned, “Let’s go, the passage the master opened is closing soon.”

Da Zhe hurried to catch up.
