669: Chapter 82: Overlapping 669: Chapter 82: Overlapping Overall, Hou Chen Yuhuan is still a relatively traditional woman in her thoughts.

Although women of the new era are already independent and self-reliant, and have even begun to advocate for real gender equality.

But she still feels that her current predicament is too avant-garde for her.

The music that keeps exploding in this ballroom is like a hypnotic chime that can disturb people’s thoughts…

This place has a magic power that makes women fall.

After staying for a moment, Hou Chen Yuhuan already feels dizzy, anxious, and instinctively resists everything about this place, stepping back a couple of steps.

“Lady Zhang, Mrs.

Li, thank you for your kindness.” Hou Chen Yuhuan hurriedly said, “But, I’m afraid I’m not suitable for this…

this place, I’m leaving first.”

Lady Zhang seemed to have anticipated Hou Chen Yuhuan saying this and smiled, “Teacher Hou Chen, it’s okay!

I know what you’re thinking, because I also went through this…

At first, I was also very unwilling.

But now…”

She grabbed Hou Chen Yuhuan’s arm but looked at the ballroom’s fervor, intoxicated, “People, whether men or women, need to enjoy themselves on time, don’t they?

What are we women lacking compared to men?

Why is it that they can have fun, and we can’t, and we still have to stay home to take care of husbands and children?

If men know how to cherish us, that’s fine, but if they don’t and play recklessly outside, should we women just wrong ourselves for a lifetime?”

“Lady Zhang, I understand your good intentions…” Hou Chen Yuhuan shook her head, “But, I can’t get over this hurdle myself…

So, let’s leave it here for today?

I’ll pretend I never came, and I promise I won’t say anything about it.”

Hou Chen Yuhuan had an idea, which was that these wealthy ladies brought her to such a place this time, and they wouldn’t be at ease unless she gets involved with them…

Even if she promised like this now.

Lady Zhang frowned slightly, but Hou Chen Yuhuan seized the chance to break free from Lady Zhang’s grip, quickly turning and leaving.

But at this moment, Mrs.

Li said suddenly, “Teacher, can you guarantee your husband hasn’t secretly played with young girls?

Men sometimes lose control of themselves, right?”

Hou Chen Yuhuan was suddenly taken aback.

She also had times of loneliness and sadness.

The days are so long, yet it feels no different from being alone in an empty room.

Which woman could feel good?

Unless it’s someone naturally large-hearted…

Obviously, she wasn’t the type.

—Can you guarantee your own husband?

Mrs.

Li’s words pierced into the most painful part of Hou Chen Yuhuan’s heart, like a sharp needle—she knew better than anyone, it’s not that Zhu Maolin is incapable in that aspect; he just doesn’t respond to her, everything else is normal.

In such a case, when facing other women, would he also be able to resist?

“How about this?” Mrs.

Li walked up at this moment, took Hou Chen Yuhuan’s hand, and said kindly, “Teacher, we won’t force you.

But at least don’t ruin the fun by leaving so abruptly?

Here’s the deal, we’ll let you just watch from the side…

Of course, if you feel interested, we’re always ready to welcome you to join!

Teacher, we’ve bought you so many class hours, you can’t just let us down like this?”

“I won’t drink…

and don’t need anyone to accompany you.” Hou Chen Yuhuan reluctantly agreed…

Most of the Pottery Art Classroom’s funding indeed came from these wealthy ladies, “I’ll just sit here, do nothing, otherwise, I’m sorry…

At most, I’ll refund the course fees to you.”

“Alright, as long as you stay, everything else can be discussed!” Mrs.

Li squinted and smiled.

Hou Chen Yuhuan said at this moment, “Then…

I’d like to go to the bathroom first, cool down…

I’m feeling anxious!”

Lady Zhang pointed the direction, “Sure, it’s over there.

We’re at table 13, you can come over later.

You’ll get used to it, I was like this at the start too, take your time.”

Hou Chen Yuhuan nodded low, not daring to look at the flashy males on stage, and hurriedly walked towards the restroom.

Mrs.

Li amusingly remarked, “This Teacher Hou Chen is still too pure.

Later, we’ll give her a proper welcome…

Since she’s here, she has to play.”

Lady Zhang chuckled and signaled the third lady with her eyes, “Have Ah Li prepare some ‘drinks’ for later, just remember there’s no alcohol.”

“Got it!

Leave it to me!” This lady laughed heartily, “There’s some left from last time, just perfect for use!”

While these three ladies were discussing what to do later, Hou Chen Yuhuan, who had just entered the restroom, took advantage of the dark and crowded atmosphere in the disco to quietly slip to another doorway—there was another door here, seemingly leading to somewhere.

But Hou Chen Yuhuan just wanted to get away from these wealthy ladies, so she feigned agreement…

As for whether they loudly ask for course refunds later, she would let them be.

If they aren’t similar types, why gather together?

Just in time, the door opened, and a seductively dressed woman walked in disgruntled, Hou Chen Yuhuan lowered her head and walked past her, entering the other side of the door.

There were also two men guarding outside the door, but they seemed unsurprised by Hou Chen Yuhuan coming out, instead smiling and courteously made an inviting gesture—only then did Hou Chen Yuhuan realize that it was no wonder they didn’t stop her at all.

Because behind this door was also a huge room…

This place was a casino!

Lit brightly, men and women gathered here, shouting in excitement at respective gambling tables—the two guards probably thought she had finished having fun outside in the ballroom and came for a few bets before leaving?

At least the casino was better than the demonic place outside…

Hou Chen Yuhuan comforted herself, yet felt it ridiculous, her experiences today certainly stirred up her previously monotonous life.

She walked into the crowd but saw there were still many different doors in the casino…

This time she dared not rush through, afraid of encountering oddities.

One door opened just then and revealed a portly man with two scantily clad women walking in, Hou Chen Yuhuan roughly guessed what lay behind that door.

“Again…

Another damn win!!”

“What ghostly luck!

This guy is damn weird!

Played for so long, never lost!”

Suddenly an excited shout erupted in the crowd, Hou Chen Yuhuan instinctively looked over to a gambling table surrounded by lots of men and women.

This should be something called baccarat, right?

Hou Chen Yuhuan recalled seeing similar things online before, but she wasn’t sure.

On the table, the croupier was sweating profusely, intensely staring at a gambler seated directly in front of him.

Wearing a tracksuit and with a hood on…

And in front of this man, there was a tall stack of chips.

At this moment, the man directly pushed out all the chips in front of him, then waited for the croupier to deal cards.

Everyone seemed to gasp…

Hou Chen Yuhuan had no idea how much these individual chips represented.

But in a place with a minimum bid of ten thousand, no upper limit, and seeing the reaction from these wealthy men and women, the track-suited man’s bet may be something she couldn’t earn in her lifetime?

She realized she and this gambling man were probably from different worlds.

She wondered, could he win?

Hou Chen Yuhuan curiously walked over to see the result.
