683: Chapter 96: Yan Wuyue 683: Chapter 96: Yan Wuyue The clear blue sky, the sounds of birds and fragrant flowers, the pristine natural environment was now right in front of Da Zhe.

Even under the scorching sun, as long as he was under the shade of the tree, he could feel a thread of coolness.

The cool breeze made Da Zhe involuntarily recall the summers of his youth…

It was the same back then, unlike now, with heatwaves rolling in; if you were in the city, it would be like being in a furnace.

This was a world yet to be damaged by modernization…

But such a world… “Boss, is this really… the world from a movie?”

Even as a Black Soul, having seen many of the club’s methods and witnessed various extraordinary powers, the impact of such a ‘Movie World’ was still incredibly shocking for Da Zhe.

Luo Qiu was walking leisurely through the paths of this pristine world, observing the surroundings, yet appearing very composed, “To be precise, it’s the world on the other side of the window.” “Window?”

Luo Qiu pondered for a moment before saying, “In fact, this is also my first time entering…

Calling it a ‘window’ might not be appropriate, so perhaps ‘gateway’ would make it easier to understand?

Consider the world we are in as the primary world or the real world, as long as its dominance is ensured, it’s fine.

Then this side of the world can be described as a secondary world.

This movie is the passage between the two, the gateway.”

Da Zhe was shocked, “So there are many, many different worlds?

And the world fragments you mentioned before, boss, are…?” “Theoretically, there’s only one world.” Luo Qiu thought for a moment.

It was something he learned during the last Golden Week, during an ascension of spirit on that overseas island, through an ‘observation’ of all things, “For example, this secondary world is one that split from the primary world, thus becoming a world fragment.” “But… theoretically, if it split, shouldn’t something be missing from our world?” Da Zhe shook his head, “But the continental plates seem normal?” “This kind of split is not a physical separation.” Luo Qiu frowned, more like discussing, “According to my current understanding, it should be a split in the time dimension.

The secondary world behind this movie is a segment of history’s time that was cut off and then split out.

This extracted segment then undergoes self-evolution…

Specifically, it’s similar to cell division, where the new cell grows on its own… and then the new cell might divide again, and grow.

Thus… on a theoretical level, the world is endless, with no fixed quantity that can be summarized.”

Da Zhe pondered for a while and suddenly remembered Number 18 mentioning not long ago about taking him to a place suitable for training Zhan Lu’s power…

Could it also not be a new world formed by a world fragment? “So, no matter how many of these secondary worlds there are, it’s still led by our current world?” Da Zhe thought for a while. “Led?” Luo Qiu said casually, “If this secondary world split from our current world’s time, then indeed we become the primary…

But, who knows if our ‘main’ world wasn’t split from the time of some other world?” “This, this…”

A feeling of insignificance, like a drop in the ocean, suddenly made Da Zhe feel a chill…

Endless worlds, the continuous long run of history…

What exactly is the sole foundation? “Perhaps, only the long run of time.”

Luo Qiu walked ahead, and that was the last sentence Da Zhe heard in this conversation—because ahead, there was clearly a figure.

Boss Luo approached this person…

When did this guy appear here?

A strangely-featured man wearing a suit and carrying an old leather suitcase.

The man took off his hat at this time, placed a hand on his chest, and slightly bent over, smiling, “Honored new boss, and the beautiful Ms.

You Ye, it is a privilege to welcome you both.” “Mr.

Arex, hello.” Boss Luo also extended a polite greeting.

Arex smiled and waved his hand, making a round table and chairs for tea appear under a sakura tree on the grassy hillside, “Dear guests, please come this way.” “Thank you.” Luo Qiu nodded, “This is Da Zhe, one of my envoys.”

Da Zhe hurriedly nodded toward the man called Arex.

Arex’s gaze bent, an eerie eye curve that no human could achieve, causing Da Zhe’s heart to race.

At this moment, the Zhan Lu on his body suddenly sang softly, and the tense feeling vanished.

Arex chuckled in surprise, “It seems the boss has found a remarkable employee, congratulations.”

Arex even pulled out the chairs for the three who came with Boss Luo, a humble gesture that matched how Boss Luo would greet his customers at the shop’s entrance. “Thank you, Mr.

Arex.” You Ye smiled slightly and sat down only after Luo Qiu had taken his seat.

She touched the table and suddenly said, “Creation…

It seems Mr.

Arex is about to dominate this world fragment, isn’t he?” “Thank you for the praise!” Arex ambiguously smiled, then began to brew tea, and many exquisite snacks also appeared out of thin air on the table. “Since our last meeting at the lakeside cabin, it has been a long time.” Arex finally sat down, “I missed you both…

I hope I haven’t disturbed the boss this time?”

Luo Qiu said calmly, “I only conduct my business.”

In other words, no matter what Arex does outside, the club remains the club, maintaining its consistent stance.

Saying this, he looked at Arex again, “Besides, this time I’m curious, so I came to take a look.

After all, this is my first encounter with such a world fragment.”

Since Arex once sent a message for the previous boss, he could probably infer the timeframe of his new appointment as boss…

In such a short time, if not deliberate, it’s understandable why he hadn’t encountered a world fragment.

Might as well, just admit it openly.

Arex shook his head, “Boss, as far as I know, your shop has collected countless world fragments…

Surely you wouldn’t wait until now to browse them?”

Luo Qiu picked up a cookie and smiled without speaking.

Indeed, many…

But they were all thrown onto the altar by the previous boss; I’m really helpless, what can I do…? “This world is called ‘Yan Wuyue.’

Arex didn’t mind Boss Luo’s silence—being someone who frequently interacted with the previous boss as a ‘customer,’ he was too accustomed to this shop’s boss’s demeanor.

But the man indeed had the freedom to be this way.

Even in the secondary world… even if he eventually successfully controlled all the rules of this secondary world… the club’s boss remained the same as ever.

Being able to descend into endless worlds and immediately possess the authority over that world’s rules made this club a mysterious existence standing above endless worlds. “A nice world fragment.” Luo Qiu nodded, a subtle clarity in his eyes as they opened and closed, “Quite a few True Souls, and the transmission of The Myriad Gods…

I see, it has evolved into a Fragmented World of divine demonic world.” “Just lucky.” Arex smiled slightly.

But he felt quite frustrated…

He had just arrived, and with a mere thought, basically grasped one of the most important pieces of information about this world fragment, much easier than him, the one who had obtained and managed it for such a long time.

The gap is beyond normal now. “Did the boss really just come for a tour?” Mr.

Arex maintained his composure. “I also brought you a gift, as a Christmas return,” Boss Luo smiled slightly, and with a wave of his hand, the piles of snacks on the table disappeared. “A small token of appreciation, hardly worth mentioning.”

In their place was a beautifully wrapped box.

Arex’s brow twitched… he could create things from void, but with just a wave of his hand, the other erased it — obviously without using the shop’s abilities, and yet he had grown to such an extent.

Oh predecessor… what kind of freak have you chosen to succeed you?

But Arex suddenly beamed, “It truly is an honor for me, I’m even looking forward to opening this gift box with anticipation.”

Nevertheless, Arex showed no intention of opening it… in his view, it might not be much different from Pandora’s box, right? “Then open it,” Ms.

You Ye said with a light chuckle.

Arex just kept it, “The surprise should be saved for the last…

Boss, since you’re here, can I buy something from you?” “Of course,” Luo Qiu nodded.

Arex smiled, “Could you help me defeat two native gods of the Yan Wuyue World?” “Oh?” Boss Luo pondered, “Mr.

Arex said… defeat?

You mean with all my strength?” “No, no, no, that would be too expensive.” Arex shook his head, “I said, help me defeat them.

The boss only needs to hold back one of them.

These two siblings are not my match when separated, but together, they have a slight edge over me.

Of course, even so, I am willing to offer a quarter of the True Soul of this Fragmented World as compensation.” “Mr.

Arex,” said You Ye with a half-smile, “since the Yan Wuyue World still has two acknowledged owners… then theoretically, this Fragmented World is not solely yours.

Can you actually provide a quarter?

Although our master has just taken up the role, we can’t be taken advantage of like this.” “Naturally,” Arex nodded, “your shop does honest business, how could I dare to cheat?

Here’s my collateral… if in the end I can’t deliver a quarter of the True Soul, this will be part of the compensation.”

As he spoke, Arex silently lifted the old suitcase he always carried and placed it in front of Luo Qiu.

The maid then gave a slight smile… it was a ‘so you know your place’ look.

However, Boss Luo gazed at Arex’s old suitcase with a more nearly fascinated expression, “If possible, actually, this suitcase is already enough.

But since it’s a temporary collateral… alright, a quarter is indeed sufficient, even quite generous.”

An ancient goatskin scroll slowly unfolded in front of Arex.

Only then did Arex seem to relax as if a heavy burden was lifted, decisively placing his hand on the contract — sealing the deal. “Will it be done now?” asked Boss Luo, storing away the contract.

Arex shook his head, “No rush, I still need to make some preparations…

Boss, if you’re still interested, why not take a stroll around the Yan Wuyue World?

The time flow here is different from the main world, it won’t take long.

Once I’m ready, I’ll naturally notify you.” “I see…” Luo Qiu nodded, curiously asked, “Mr.

Arex, is there any place you’d recommend?”

Arex’s eyes turned, “How about near the Famen Mountain?

It’s coincidentally the ‘gateway’ of this world.” “Then…” Luo Qiu stood up, “honored guest, we will await your notice.”

The boss led Ms.

You Ye and Da Zhe, then quietly left. …

A gentle breeze stirred the grass on the hillside, a wave of grass approaching from afar.

Beneath the Sakura Tree, the tables and chairs for entertaining had disappeared, and Arex sat cross-legged alone under the tree, carefully wiping a small wooden puppet.

The puppet’s limbs and other parts were connected to a cross by strings, and with Arex’s finger movements, the small puppet shook flexibly like a real person and began to speak.

With a doll-like voice, the small puppet now laughed in a strange tone, “Arex, Arex…”

It kept calling Arex’s name.

However, it did not have life, it was just Arex’s ventriloquism producing the sound. “Lord Arex… is that the person you mentioned who can fulfill any wish?”

At some unknown point, a kimono-clad girl appeared behind Arex as the cherry blossoms fell… with a complexion like a porcelain doll, the girl slightly disdainfully said, “It seems they aren’t very skilled, even though I stayed hidden in the tree, they didn’t notice me.”

Arex didn’t turn his head, calmly said, “That’s because Miki, you didn’t show any malice.” “Malice?

Lord Arex is here; how dare Miki be rude!” The girl seemed a bit disdainful, shaking her head, “But even if I did, it doesn’t matter, Miki was personally created by Lord Arex, born from a dream, undying and immortal.” “That’s true.” Arex smiled slightly, “Did you have your fill today?”

The girl touched her belly, looking at Arex with a shy expression, gently said, “Too much.” “Then go and have a good rest.” Arex waved his hand.

Only then did the girl bow, and at the moment when the falling cherry blossoms swirled again, she disappeared.

Arex looked at the spot, suddenly sighed, “In the end, it is still an illusion, never a companion… even if I can create, I can’t create a True Soul?

Undying and immortal?

Even for me, facing such great power, I dare not claim I’m immortal.”

He lowered his head, continuing to manipulate the puppet beneath the cross.

It, as always, called his name. “Arex…

Arex…

Arex…” … … “Princess Yue Ji, up ahead is beneath the Famen Mountain.”

A convoy now slowly arrived at an enchanting place, seated in the carriage, Zi Xing slightly furrowed her brows as she lifted the curtain.
