Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 294 Whose car is three times the speed of sound? After the new concept car started and accelerated, it shot out like an arrow released from a bow, instantly turning into a blurry afterimage.

The engine roared, stirring up a howling gale.

The airflow outside the car churned and surged, like a dreamlike veil!

Looking out from inside the car, the sides were just blurred light and shadows!

Viewed from above, it streaked by like a meteor, its posture graceful and fluid when turning, all in one go.

The air was compressed to form shockwaves, significantly affecting the surrounding vegetation and birds.

Its various components operated at high speeds in perfect harmony, steadily sprinting toward the speed limit, fully displaying mechanical aesthetics and a sense of power.

This lightning-fast scene truly scared the living daylights out of Lei Jun.

The speed was so fast that it seemed like a flash of lightning streaking before one’s eyes, allowing only enough time to catch a fleeting afterimage.

If someone said it was a race car, Lei Jun wouldn’t have the slightest doubt!

After all, such astonishing speed could only be rivaled by top-tier race cars born for the track.

Seeing the new concept car’s power was so abundant, not at all inferior to those fuel-powered cars known for their strong performance, Lei Jun’s sense of wonder grew even more intense.

He pondered to himself that to possess such powerful performance, the car’s engine must be top-notch!

It could probably be mentioned in the same breath as those race car engines that cost millions or tens of millions!

It must not be cheap to build.

”Oh dear, this goes against our original intention of manufacturing cost-effective cars!”

Lei Jun muttered to himself; after all, if the cost were too high, it would be difficult to maintain a price advantage in the market!

But this exceptional performance was truly hard to give up.

Also, with such strong power, it must consume more electricity, Lei Jun worried faintly.

At this moment, the new concept car was still speeding around the test track, showing no signs of stopping.

The roar of the engine was like an impassioned war song, echoing over the empty field.

A long time had already passed since the test began!

While privately amazed at the car’s enduring power, Lei Jun couldn’t help but look at Su Chen and ask with a puzzled face: ”Teacher Su, what is the battery capacity of this new concept car?”

As he spoke, he subconsciously glanced at his watch, calculating to himself:

”The test has been going on for about an hour, has it not even used up one percent of the battery yet?”

”This is just too incredible.”

Su Chen actually felt that the test time was unexpectedly long as well.

After hearing Lei Jun’s words, he calmly picked up his phone and spoke clearly into it:

”Little Ai, report the real-time test data for the test vehicle.”

Soon, a striking line of data appeared on Su Chen’s phone screen!

He looked closely and discovered that the new concept car had already traveled 3,000 kilometers!

In other words, the new concept car reached a speed of 3,000 km/h.

Lei Jun also curiously leaned in.

When his eyes landed on the data on the phone screen, an indescribable expression of astonishment instantly appeared on his face; his widened eyes and slightly opened mouth all manifested the shock in his heart.

Even though he had always had some trust in Su Chen’s abilities, at this moment, he suddenly felt that all of this was a bit too exaggerated.

Three thousand kilometers per hour!

You have to know, the fastest recorded race car on Blue Planet, the Thrust SSC, only has a speed of 1227.99 km/h!

And that was under specific conditions and environments, a top speed created with great effort; in actual daily situations, such a speed is almost impossible to replicate.

And this new concept car of yours can actually reach such a terrifying speed, this...

This is already nearly three times the speed of sound!

This is too exaggerated!

Lei Jun now felt that the words of praise he had said earlier were still too conservative, and he thought to himself:

”This isn’t a race car; this is simply a super race car!”

”No, if you put wings on this car, it could be an airplane. Three times the speed of sound—it flies faster than a damn airplane!”

However, this was not the part that made Lei Jun feel the most insane!

His gaze immediately fell on the remaining battery data!

It clearly displayed ”99.5%”.

Lei Jun, of course, knew what this meant!

This meant that in the past hour, the new concept car modified by Su Chen had only consumed 0.5% of its battery, not even one percent.

He widened his eyes, looked at Su Chen in disbelief, and tried hard to suppress his excitement as he asked:

”Teacher Su, is this data... accurate?”

He really didn’t dare to be sure about the battery, as it was too far beyond reason, but the car’s lightning-fast speed was something he had seen with his own eyes, so it must be true; surely his own eyes couldn’t be playing tricks on him.

Su Chen was calm, as if all of this was within reason, and said:

”I am just doing a basic test here. Before it hits the market, you can conduct a comprehensive test, and then the data will be more accurate.”

Lei Jun listened and hurriedly nodded, thinking to himself that such an amazing car definitely needed to be tested thoroughly again!

If such astonishing data could withstand repeated verification, it would be truly incredible.

Su Chen then gave the stop command to the new concept car’s Artificial Intelligence butler.

After all, who knew how long this test would go on; this car’s battery capacity was quite large. If it really had to consume one percent of the battery, it would probably take another hour!

He simply gave up on continuing to test the speed and battery consumption.

Next, it was time for the final test phase!

That was to test the charging speed.

Su Chen walked with steady steps to the side of the stopped new concept car. After some operations, he drained all the remaining electricity in the car. This discharging process alone took nearly half an hour, showing that the battery capacity was indeed not small.

After the discharge was complete, the charging test began!

Lei Jun, like a curious elementary school student, watched intently from the side throughout the whole process!

He couldn’t bear to blink, afraid of missing any detail.

He saw Su Chen skillfully plug the charging device into the car’s charging port!

Instantly, the red indicator light on the charging device lit up!

There was a small display screen on the side, on which the number ”3” first appeared!

Then the number changed rapidly to ”2”!

And then it changed to ”1”!

The whole process was so fast that it was hard to react.

Finally, the red light instantly turned into a green light.

Lei Jun noticed these changes and was full of doubts, so he hurriedly asked:

”Did the charging device connect successfully?”

Su Chen remained calm and replied indifferently:

”No!”

”It’s already fully charged!”
