Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 257 White Elephants Deploy Troops on the Border! On the border between the Dragon Kingdom and the White Elephant, what should have been a peaceful and serene night was now shattered, filled with clamor and noise.

The dense crowds confronted each other on both sides of the border like two towering walls. The air was thick with tension and oppression, as if a single spark could ignite a raging inferno.

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao glared with wide, angry eyes, staring fixedly at the White Elephant soldiers, his inner fury surging like an uncontrollable tide.

He cursed aloud, ”These bastards, coming here to cause trouble during the New Year; they don’t want us to have a good holiday, do they!”

”I just wanted to get a good night’s sleep. These bastards really know how to pick their days; this is definitely on purpose!”

His voice echoed in the cold night sky, carrying a hint of helplessness and rage.

Deputy Battalion Commander Wang Jun also said with a face full of fury, ”Previously, there was at most one battalion of White Elephant soldiers at the border.”

”Now, damn it, a whole regiment has suddenly arrived. It’s definitely planned.”

”I think they just want to harass us; they might not actually dare to cross the border.”

As he spoke, he gripped his weapon tightly, his eyes filled with anger.

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao roared angrily, ”Let them try crossing the border! Don’t look at the fact that they have a regiment while we only have a battalion; I’ll still take them on!”

”A bunch of guys who have truly grown guts of bears and leopards! Daring to come here and cause trouble for us!”

The soldiers were not afraid of the White Elephant’s army pressing in; they were all hot-blooded, shouting one after another: ”Battalion Commander, let’s take them on! We aren’t cowards. At worst, we die, but we’ll take a few of them with us!” ”They’re actually bullying us! Our battalion has no cowards. It’s best to beat them into submission so they don’t forget who’s boss!”

”Daring to bully our country! Let these guys know what it means to kick an iron plate!”

Their young faces were full of determination and courage, and that spirit of looking death in the face was moving.

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao looked at these young soldiers under his command, and a warm current surged in his heart.

”Good! My men are truly not cowards!”

He felt very gratified.

However, he also knew the cruelty of war. Unless he had to act, he was reluctant to let these young people truly clash with the enemy.

In his heart, these soldiers were like his own family. He hoped to protect them while also defending the country’s dignity.

Just then, a communications soldier hurried over, looking nervous, and said, ”Battalion Commander, the superior officer has called, saying there is an important matter to convey.”

Hearing this, Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao immediately restrained the anger on his face and strode toward the communication equipment to answer the call.

On the other side, White Elephant Regiment Commander Vikram was looking at the two sides confronting each other at the border with a hint of smugness and arrogance, filled with interest.

They had dispatched over two thousand people this time; this was an entire regiment’s strength! Relying on his superior numbers, Vikram was not worried at all that any accidents would happen.

One of his battalion commanders said with a smile, ”These guys from the Dragon Kingdom probably won’t have a good New Year!”

”The higher-ups arranged for us to cause some trouble. Even if a fight doesn’t actually break out, we can still disgust them properly.”

”Hmph, the Dragon Kingdom has been quite prominent in the last two years. I heard that the Eagle Nation is wary of them, but I don’t see how powerful they are!”

”Aren’t they the same as before? Facing our army deployed at the border, they are just standing there in a standoff; I don’t see anything special about them!”

”It seems we are the ones who have to dampen the Dragon Kingdom’s spirit! Hahaha!”

His laughter echoed through the crowd, full of mockery and contempt.

”The higher-ups are really considerate, even sending us lots of supplies so we can have a good standoff with the Dragon Kingdom! We get to celebrate the New Year too!”

Another battalion commander chimed in, and they were all immersed in this self-righteous sense of superiority.

Just as these people were laughing, the command post phone suddenly rang urgently.

Vikram’s eyes lit up, and he secretly speculated, ”Could it be that the command post is ready to let us take action?”

He answered the phone full of anticipation and found that it was indeed his direct superior, General Karan, calling.

”General, we have followed the plan and brought our regiment to the border with the Dragon Kingdom. The Dragon Kingdom side seems very anxious. Shall we give them a taste of our power?”

Vikram asked respectfully, his eyes flashing with a hint of excitement, as if he couldn’t wait to show off his military might.

However, the general on the other end seemed extremely agitated, saying ”No!” three times! ”No! No! Absolutely not!”

”Vikram, quickly make your men retreat from that damn border line!”

”Do you want to see us destroyed as a nation and race? Whoever dares to take action, carry your own head to the Dragon Kingdom to apologize!”

”Don’t say it was instructed by me!!”

The general’s voice thundered over the phone, filled with anger and fear.

Vikram was stunned, his eyes wide, his face full of disbelief: ”But General, what do you mean?” ”Didn’t you tell us to disgust the Dragon Kingdom?”

The general roared angrily: ”Well, now, Vikram, I order you to make your men retreat!” ”Do you understand me?”

Vikram was shaken back to his senses by the general’s roar, and he immediately said seriously: ”I understand, General!”

Just as the general was about to hang up, he paused for a moment and then reminded Vikram: ”Also... go watch the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala.” ”The world has changed! Vikram!” After saying that, he hung up the phone.

Listening to the busy signal coming from the receiver, the laughter that had originally filled the conference room completely vanished! They looked at each other, unable to figure out the situation.

”What’s going on with General Karan? Why does he want us to withdraw from the border line?”

”Is it my imagination? Why do I feel a sense of fear in General Karan’s tone?” one battalion commander said, looking puzzled.

”Fear? You must have felt it wrong. General Karan is the most powerful general in our White Elephant, bar none. How could he be afraid!”

”Besides, we are just deploying troops at the border; we haven’t done anything out of line yet. The Dragon Kingdom won’t do anything to us at this time. What is General Karan worried about?”

”Worried that the Dragon Kingdom will take the initiative to attack us? And he even told us to watch the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala... Is there anything special about the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala?”

”Forget it, I don’t want to watch; just thinking about it makes it seem boring!” another battalion commander said with disdain, unable to understand the general’s order.

Vikram, however, knew that the general’s order could not be disobeyed. He frowned and said, ”This is General Karan’s order.”

Then he had his subordinate tune in to the footage of the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala.

Before long, a massive Aerospace Carrier appeared on the monitor in front of them.

The magnificent and spectacular scene was shocking.

Vikram frowned, looked at his subordinate, and said with dissatisfaction, ”I wanted to see the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala, why are you playing a sci-fi movie for me?”

A battalion commander was also attracted by the image and couldn’t help but exclaim, ”But you have to say, this sci-fi movie is really well-made; it looks like the real thing.”

The subordinate said with a somewhat complicated expression, ”Sir... this is not a sci-fi movie... this is the Dragon Kingdom’s Spring Festival Gala!”

The pupils of Vikram and the high-ranking officers suddenly dilated!!!!
