Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 285 Unable to withstand the onslaughtFather Su’s voice was filled with irrepressible joy.

It was as if he had some monumental good news to share with Su Chen.

Su Chen was very curious; his cheapskate of a father was even being coy, pausing for a moment as if he wanted Su Chen to guess what it was!

Su Chen couldn’t help but laugh—he was such a grown man, yet he was acting just like a child!

”I’m guessing, is the house getting demolished for relocation?” Su Chen guessed immediately.

Father Su grinned and said, ”What demolition?”

”Are you just thinking about getting rich overnight?”

”It’s that your mother and I have decided…”

”To buy you a car.”

Su Chen was completely dumbfounded by his father’s words!

In his impression, their family’s financial situation was only average!

Of course, that was just the situation on the surface.

In reality, relying solely on state subsidies, research institute salary, and various miscellaneous bonuses over these years, he already had assets totaling over a hundred million in his hands!

It was just that he hadn’t told his parents about this money, and they didn’t know their son was already so wealthy!

Furthermore, Su Chen himself didn’t have much desire to spend money.

After all, he now had people specifically responsible for his food, clothing, and daily needs, and his parents lived a relatively simple life without major expenses, so he really didn’t have much of a concept of money.

But with his parents suddenly wanting to buy a car, according to their original family financial situation!

This was indeed a significant expense, and he was quite curious, inwardly pondering:

”Could it be that my parents made money without me knowing?”

Thus, he asked in confusion:

”Dad, why did you suddenly think of buying me a car?”

”I’m still in college; I don’t need one.”

Father Su said with a chuckle on the other end of the phone:

”You don’t know, our electricity prices are dirt cheap now, and it’s popular to buy new energy vehicles.”

”I thought new energy vehicles would go up in price, but unexpectedly, our country has started heavily subsidizing new energy vehicles, directly reimbursing nearly half the cost, with a maximum reimbursement of two hundred thousand!”

”We have truly entered a good time.”

”It’s perfect—once you graduate, you’ll need to prepare for the major milestones in life, so we’re buying this car in advance!”

”See when you have time to come back, and our family will go pick out a car!”

”Your old man will pay for it!”

Upon hearing this, Su Chen was immediately surprised!

He hadn’t expected that the state had already formulated such effective policies surrounding the Eternal Day Project!

The level of subsidy for these new energy vehicles was simply unprecedented.

Originally, under the dual influence of the energy crisis and ultra-low electricity prices, according to common logic, electric vehicle companies should have taken this opportunity to raise prices crazily and reap a wave of profits!

Unexpectedly, the state had done the exact opposite; not only did it not let prices rise, but it actually lowered the price of energy vehicles through subsidies, which was completely beyond Su Chen’s expectations.

Su Chen thought to himself:

”In this way, new energy vehicles are absolutely going to sell like crazy in Dragon Country!”

”No, it’s not just Dragon Country. Relying on such huge price advantages and technical advantages, it could even allow Dragon Country’s new energy vehicles to enter foreign markets and let Dragon Country’s car brands go global!”

Su Chen was truly shocked by this series of state operations!

At the same time, he admired the state’s foresight and strategic layout even more.

Meanwhile, other countries were also completely dumbfounded by this move from Dragon Country!

Especially those countries that highly valued capital and pursued profits.

Originally, under the energy crisis, the sales of gasoline cars in these countries were already miserable, and they were already considering switching to producing energy vehicles.

And following Dragon Country’s announcement of the Eternal Day Project, they abandoned gasoline cars completely and one after another switched to producing new energy vehicles!

Among them were even some world-famous car brands, like Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, and Maybach!

They had all seen this unprecedented business opportunity and were planning to take the chance to make a huge profit!

Thus, they set the prices of their cars quite high, just to reap a wave of consumers.

However, at this moment, Dragon Country’s cars, like a galloping wild bull, charged headlong into this global automotive trade war.

And with a crushing posture, they crazily reaped market share.

In the US, within the President’s office.

The atmosphere at this moment was exceptionally oppressive; President Biden looked at a market research document in his hand with a gloomy face, his brows furrowed tightly, his eyes revealing anger and helplessness.

According to their market research results, the global market share of Dragon Country cars was skyrocketing!

If things continued like this, Dragon Country’s car brands would likely monopolize the entire world!

Dragon Country had guessed from the beginning that the Eternal Day Project would have a disruptive impact on the automotive sector!

Therefore, they had conducted a global layout from the start, just waiting for the Eternal Day Project to be announced, and for all customers to turn their attention to energy vehicles, while other car companies were still formulating strategies overnight, they began to reap the market.

Now the situation was developing exactly as Dragon Country had anticipated!

President Biden was incredibly furious!

He never imagined that Dragon Country could stir up such huge waves in the automotive field!

And this momentum was getting stronger and stronger, making them somewhat unable to fend off.

The Secretary of State was also full of worry on the side, looking at President Biden and asking:

”Mr. President, what do you think?”

”Dragon Country is currently monopolizing our global business with extremely low electricity prices and energy vehicles; if this continues, our car companies won’t be able to hold on!”

President Biden listened, took a deep breath, and was silent for a moment. He knew very well in his heart that there seemed to be only one way now, and that was to issue a restriction order, banning Dragon Country cars from entering the US, in order to protect the domestic automotive industry; perhaps that could slightly curb the momentum of Dragon Country’s car expansion globally.

But he also knew that although this method seemed to solve the immediate urgency, once the restriction order was signed, those citizens in the country who wanted to buy energy vehicles would definitely not be happy!

There would likely be another huge wave of opposition domestically, and by then, the situation would probably be even harder to control.

But he really had no other better solution now…

Finally, President Biden gritted his teeth, as if he had made up his mind, and said:

”We have no choice but to sign the restriction order!”

”But before signing…”

As his voice fell, he added:

”Contact Japan and the Koreans; we will boycott together!!!”
