Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 261 Scared Away?!On the Dragon Kingdom border.

The previously aggressive White Elephant soldiers were now utterly routed.

They were fleeing in all directions like a flock of startled birds and beasts.

This pathetic sight made even Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao, who had seen all sorts of situations, feel a bit amused.

After all, the opponent was an entire regiment!

Yet now, they had been scared into fleeing in disarray by a mere battalion!

In the past, this would have been unthinkable.

Of course, Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao knew very well that this was mainly thanks to the Mech Legion.

Under the cover of night, the Mech Legion, composed of thirty Individual Combat Mecha, stood in neat rows on the border like steel war gods!

They exuded an awe-inspiring power that chilled the soul.

The cold moonlight shone upon them, as if draping them in a layer of silver armor, adding an air of majesty.

With the support of these mecha, the soldiers’ morale was at an all-time high. The flames of battle burned in every person’s eyes, and that soaring fighting spirit seemed capable of breaking through the shackles of the night.

Watching the fleeing White Elephant soldiers, a soldier excitedly suggested: ”Battalion Commander, let’s chase after them!”

”We must make them deeply understand the consequences of provoking our Dragon Kingdom!”

”That’s right, Battalion Commander. These guys came to provoke us during the New Year just to disgust us. We can’t just let it go!”

”Let’s go get them!”

As soon as this suggestion was made, many surrounding soldiers echoed it!

Their blood was boiling, and they couldn’t wait to chase after those ignorant White Elephant soldiers and teach them a lesson.

However, Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao decisively rejected the proposal.

In his view, scaring the White Elephant soldiers away had already achieved the goal of deterrence, which was enough.

Crossing the border to teach them a lesson did not align with the Dragon Kingdom’s consistent style.

Just as he finished speaking his thoughts, a communications soldier ran over to report: ”Battalion Commander, the Commander-in-Chief is calling again.”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao dared not delay and immediately walked over to answer the phone.

On the other end of the line, the Commander-in-Chief’s resonant voice suddenly rang out: ”Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao, have the Individual Combat Mecha units I requested for you arrived yet?”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao hurriedly replied: ”They have all arrived, Chief.”

Upon hearing this, the Commander-in-Chief grinned, his tone full of gratification: ”Very good! Make sure to teach those White Elephant guys a good lesson later.”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao smiled helplessly and responded: ”Chief, I’m afraid that won’t be possible.”

The Commander-in-Chief was stunned for a moment and asked suspiciously: ”What’s the situation? Surely those spineless guys haven’t run away, have they?”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao sighed helplessly and said: ”You guessed right!”

”As soon as we brought our guns and artillery up, those guys lost their nerve, and just then, our Individual Combat Mecha arrived!”

”Once they saw our mecha, those guys completely chickened out!”

”Now they are begging for mercy and fleeing across the mountains and plains!”

Upon hearing this, the Commander-in-Chief snorted coldly and said with disdain: ”These guys never learn!”

”Don’t look at how scared they are now; it won’t be long before they provoke us again!”

”Let’s take this opportunity to make them remember their lesson!”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao was stunned for a moment, faintly guessing the Commander-in-Chief’s meaning, and tentatively asked: ”Chief, do you mean...”

The Commander-in-Chief immediately issued an order decisively: ”Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao, I order you to take the Mech Legion to the White Elephant border command post and capture their highest-ranking commander alive!”

Battalion Commander Zhang Dabao’s expression tightened, and he replied thunderously: ”Yes!”

His eyes showed determination, and he was already prepared to execute the order.

Meanwhile, Vikram had just breathed a sigh of relief, secretly glad that his subordinates had fled. If they had really clashed with the Dragon Kingdom, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Whenever he thought of the Dragon Kingdom’s Aerospace Carrier, which was like a world-destroying beast, he couldn’t help but tremble all over, his heart filled with terror and a sense of powerlessness.

The Dragon Kingdom had actually built such a terrifying warship. Any one of the powerful weapons equipped on it would be enough to give the White Elephant a hard time. How could they possibly resist such a formidable enemy?

Just as he was immersed in these worries, he suddenly heard news from his subordinates: ”Regimental Commander, the Dragon Kingdom soldiers have crossed the border and are attacking!”

Vikram frowned, his face full of disbelief, thinking to himself: How is that possible!

How could Dragon Kingdom soldiers proactively cross the border? This was simply not their usual style!

However, before he could recover, a series of ear-piercing humming sounds rang in his ears.

He subconsciously looked up and saw that in the sky, dozens of mecha, like steel birds blotting out the sky and sun, were aggressively approaching their command post.

Behind these mecha were ten imposing tanks and Dragon Kingdom soldiers fully armed and ready for battle.

Seeing this scene, Vikram realized instantly that the Dragon Kingdom was not playing around!

It must have been because their provocations had completely angered this powerful enemy, the Dragon Kingdom.

At this moment, he felt no anger toward the Dragon Kingdom for crossing the border; all he felt was deep regret—regret that they shouldn’t have provoked the opponent so easily!

Now look, they had brought trouble upon themselves.

The subordinate battalion commanders also saw this scene, and their reactions were even greater than Vikram’s.

Some battalion commanders were so scared that their faces turned pale, and they sat down on the ground with a thud, muttering: ”The Dragon Kingdom has no martial honor! We only provoked them a little bit at the border, why are they crossing the border to attack us!”

”Didn’t they let us go in the past when they saw us retreat?”

”What’s going on this time? Have we really angered them???”

”What should we do? Should we fight back?”

They were all in a panic, completely devoid of their previous arrogance, thinking only of how to survive this disaster.

Just as these people were in a panic, not knowing how to organize a counterattack, the mecha in the sky suddenly split into two neat teams.

Fifteen of the mecha suddenly accelerated, rushing towards them like streaks of silver lightning at breakneck speed.

Vikram was shocked at the sight, his eyes widening as he shouted in terror: ”What’s happening?”

”Are they coming for our command post?”

His voice was trembling slightly with fear!

Beads of sweat as big as beans kept rolling down his forehead. At this moment, he only felt a chill shooting up from the soles of his feet to his heart, yet he was helpless!

He could only watch helplessly as the mecha drew closer and closer, his heart filled with despair.
