I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 36 - 36 35 Seedling Grass Basket36: Chapter 35: Seedling Grass Basket 36: Chapter 35: Seedling Grass Basket “You just said the rain is extraordinary?

Is it because of the rain that this is happening?” Mu Ying asked curiously, noting that even her Recovery Spring didn’t have such magical effects.

“This is a gift from the universe to your Deep Blue Star.

The rain won’t stop for a while, so make good use of this time, and you’ll reap great benefits.

Oh, and can I occasionally visit your Plantation during this period?

Opportunities like this are rare, after all,”

Shom spoke with a sense of deeper meaning, his usual winking and facial contortions letting Mu Ying know that there were some things he couldn’t openly say.

“Sure, you can come and go as you please.

It would be great if the others on the territory could see you,”

Mu Ying chuckled, hoping everyone would mistake the mist-covered area as Grandpa Shom’s domain; thus, if someone saw her enter, they would think she had his permission.

“You sly girl,” Shom laughed heartily and pulled something out of his pocket, tossing it to her, “I see you are often starting seedlings and planting trees; play around with this.”

Mu Ying caught the quaint mini grass basket and saw that it was, amazingly, Space Equipment.

[Seedling Grass Basket]

[Quality: Blue Excellent]

[Effect: A 50-square-meter personal nursery space to briefly transplant and store plants, keeping them alive.

When placed within, the plant’s growth pauses.]

[Description: A handy tool of the Legendary Druid Shom in his youth.]

Blue-quality Space Equipment, although only for transplanting plants, was a rare treasure for Mu Ying.

But a Legendary Druid?

She wasn’t sure what ‘legendary’ meant in terms of level, but it sounded impressive.

Once enlarged, the seedling grass basket revealed a flat piece of land inside, and Mu Ying fondly clipped the mini basket to her waist.

After leaving Oak Grocery, Mu Ying returned to the Plantation, pondering Grandpa Shom’s words and guessing the rainfall must be beneficial.

So, she took out all her stored seeds and began planting.

She hoped they would all benefit from this rain.

There were so many seeds that she had to plant them densely.

It wasn’t a problem to stipulate growth and then transplant some into the grass basket for storage; this way, none would go to waste.

Still, there were seeds left unplanted.

In the Vegetable Garden, she also harvested seeds from the Mutant Plants using the Feedback Claw.

Using her Nature Sensing Skill, she tried to sense the natural power within the tomato plants and was shocked to find that despite being mere shrubs, their natural power was as lively as a decade-old tree.

As her perception passed over them, each leaf on the tomato plants seemed to dance and celebrate.

[You’ve completed a session of professional cultivation and earned Professional Experience x3]

When she turned her senses to the cucumber vines and green vegetables, they all exhibited the same spiritedness and jubilation.

The emotions conveyed through the plants’ natural power also influenced Mu Ying’s mood.

Plants don’t lie.

If they’re this happy, could it be because of the rain?

Mu Ying couldn’t resist taking off her bamboo hat and straw coat to expose herself entirely to the rain, imagining herself as a tree or a flower, letting the rainwater permeate her skin.

This time, she naturally entered a mystical state, not touching any plant, yet her sense of the natural power was clearer than at any time before.

The rainwater seemed to swirl with a faint green, the color of natural power.

It was present everywhere, in the stout trunks, the layered leaves, the trembling flowers — the color of life itself.

After a while, Mu Ying’s magical sensation abruptly ended, leaving her feeling a bit lost and even uncomfortable with its absence.

It was as if her vision had suddenly gone from 5.0 to 600 degrees of nearsightedness.

Unfortunately, she could never find that feeling again.

“Did I just actually see natural power?” Mu Ying was somewhat surprised, truly seeing it, she hadn’t closed her eyes just now.

It wasn’t the pure energy world that could be seen in a state of natural sense, nor the natural power of one or two plants, but right before her eyes, as far as her sight could reach.

She summoned the Player Manual, thinking about flipping through the adventure record.

[In a special instance of professional cultivation, you have gained the favor of nature; your Nature Sensing ability has been considerably enhanced, granting you Professional Experience ×20, you have reached the level 2 Experience limit, with 3 points of Professional Experience overflowing]

[You have reached the level upgrade criteria, please prepare and upgrade as soon as possible]

“Huh?” She hadn’t expected it to be true, “Nature Sensing has been upgraded?”

Mu Ying didn’t even care about the reminder to level up, she hurriedly flipped to the attribute panel to see the Skill introduction.

[Nature Sensing: Druids can acquire Strength by sensing nature.

When discarding other senses for its use, one can deeply feel the force of nature; when retaining senses, natural vision can be acquired.]

Sure enough, the explanation for Nature Sensing Skill had changed; now the Skill had two methods of use.

Mu Ying tried it out for a while, the first type was much like before, requiring contact with plants, and during the sensing process, oblivious to the surrounding environment, perceiving a world of pure energy without substance that was clearer than before.

If previously she could only sense natural power as thin as a little finger, now she could sense it as fine as a strand of hair.

The second method was somewhat like the magical state she had just experienced, seemingly a weakened version.

Using Nature Sensing while maintaining awareness of the surrounding world, and concentrating on a particular plant, she could see tangible natural power.

One could only make rough judgments about the state of a plant through the color and richness of its natural power in this state, not as detailed as when deeply sensing, but the advantage was its convenience and safety.

Like having found a fun toy, Mu Ying tirelessly used her natural vision to observe the surroundings; although not as powerful as before, now she could only see one plant at a time, it was still quite magical.

Natural power was not so unattainable after all; it really could be seen!

“Achoo~”

Mu Ying sneezed loudly, rubbing her nose.

While the rain was pleasant, one must not bask in it too much, lest they catch a cold.

With this thought, she put her straw coat back on, but her clothes were already soaked through, and covering up was no longer effective.

“Gungun, let’s go back, don’t want to catch a chill!”

My fur is thick, I won’t catch a chill; it’s the playful, furless Master who’s more at risk, helplessly—

Gungun silently placed the half-eaten bamboo shoot carefully back into his basket for later, shook his body to shake off the rain from his straw coat, lifted his chin toward Mu Ying, let’s go!

She hadn’t felt the cold just now, but as soon as she came to her senses, a chill instantly enveloped her body; worried about catching a cold, she hurried home.

Mu Ying changed into dry clothes but still felt a bit cold, so she communicated with the natural power, patting it onto herself, and instantly felt more comfortable.

She was using the newly learned level 1 Spell, Endure Elements, like an air conditioner.

Endure Elements allows one to be unaffected by the surrounding temperature, adapting to hot or cold environments.

When used on oneself, it feels like the temperature around is just right, neither hot nor cold.
