I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 3 - 3 2 Doomsday Game_23: Chapter 2 Doomsday Game_2 3: Chapter 2 Doomsday Game_2 (Note: Attribute points cannot be used consecutively on the same attribute; it can burden the body and even affect the digestion of the attribute points.)

Half-Elf?

Does this so-called Doomsday Game also adjust race?

Mu Ying found it a bit strange, and it grew even weirder as she read on.

[Based on your player identity, you have acquired Universal Language]

[Based on your race, Half-Elf, you have acquired an additional language: Elf Language]

It seemed she hadn’t misidentified it; it was indeed Universal Language.

Mu Ying was now full of questions.

How did Universal Language come to be in this game?

Did Shi Yin have anything to do with this game?

She knew some Universal Language beforehand, but the completely unfamiliar Elf Language struck her even more deeply.

With just a slight attempt to remember, Mu Ying realized that knowledge about this language indeed sprang up in her mind out of nowhere.

It was like her brain had a translator installed, able to convert Chinese to Elf Language.

However, the pronunciation of Elf Language was much more complex than that of Universal Language, and speaking it fluently was still difficult; it required more practice.

She was certain she had never learned this language and couldn’t help but exclaim, “If only Shi Yin could do this when learning Chinese, it would’ve been great.

He still only manages daily conversation in Chinese and doesn’t know many characters.

But with this game, I guess he’ll never have to worry about language barriers again.”

She continued to read further.

[Player Attributes read complete.

Your attributes are: Strength 8, Constitution 10, Agility 11, Intelligence 12, Perception 14, Charm 11 (The average attributes for an adult human are all 10.)]

[Based on your attributes, your available professions are ranked by their degree of compatibility as follows: Druid, Priest, Mage, Magician, Forest Patrol, Bard, Wanderer, Paladin, Warrior...]

[Please read the meanings of each attribute carefully and choose your profession accordingly]

Mu Ying quickly glanced through the collapsed attributes information.

[Strength represents the physical muscle power and force, especially important for Barbarians, Warriors, Paladins, Forest Patrol, and Martial Monks]

[Agility represents coordination, flexibility, reaction, and balance skills, and is very important for Wanderers.

In addition, Barbarians, Forest Patrol, Martial Monks, Mages, Magicians, and those who wish to become skilled Archers also need high agility]

[Constitution represents health and stamina.

Constitution determines the amount of Life Value and is important for all professions]

[Intelligence signifies the ability to learn and think, crucial for casters like Mages.

A Mage’s Mana Value, resistance to spells, and the power of spells are all related to Intelligence]

[Perception represents willpower, common sense, sensitivity, and intuition, and is related to the ability to harmonize with and sense one’s surroundings.

Perception is the most important attribute for Priests and Druids and is also very important for Paladins and Forest Patrol]

[Charm represents personality, persuasiveness, leadership ability, and physical attractiveness — a form of strength in character, not just in social performance, and is the most important attribute for Paladins, Magicians, and Bards]

From the meanings represented by the attributes, her advantage was Perception, making Druid and Priest the most suitable for her, although other professions were also possible choices.

With a total of eleven professions, Mu Ying started with Druid, the one most compatible with her, and found herself increasingly captivated by it.

Druids and Priests are Divine Skill professions, the difference being that Priest’s power comes from personified deities, while Druid’s power stems from nature.

Druids gain Natural Force by communing with nature, Spells are also sourced from nature, and they are closer to nature and animals, though their Healing ability is slightly weaker than that of Priests, they have stronger offense.

While having fewer spells than Mages, they possess Healing ability and shapeshifting power, making them more resilient than Mages.

A distinctive feature is that from level 1, they have an animal companion, and they start to shapeshift into animals from level 5.

Their abilities cover tanking, Healing, ranged magic damage, and melee, making them an all-round versatile character.

If this were a real game, such a profession would mean not excelling in any single area, but in real life, such a profession means no weaknesses, and a higher survival rate.

Who would have thought the world would shift from modern city literature to an apocalyptic gaming narrative?

The well-rounded abilities of the Druid gave her a strong sense of security.

Moreover, with that mysterious yet profound self-perception of a modest flower aficionado and her love for forests, she ultimately chose to become an honorable Druid.

After determining her profession, given that attribute points could not be used consecutively and needed time to be assimilated, Mu Ying added the Half-Elf’s optional Perception or Charm +1 to Perception.

Unlike acquiring language, the feeling of adding attribute points was much more pronounced; she felt that the entire world had become clearer, likely with improved vision, and it was quite invigorating.

[Based on your profession, Druid, Life Value receives an 8-point increase; according to the Life Value calculation formula: (Constitution + increment × level – 10) × 10, your Life Value is 80]

[Based on your Perception Attribute and Profession Level, according to the Mana Value calculation formula: (Spell Casting Attribute – 10 + level) × 10, your Mana Value is 60]

[Based on your profession, Druid, you have acquired an additional language: Druid Language]

[Based on your profession, Druid, you have acquired the following Professional Skills: 1.

Natural Sense: Druids can gain strength by sensing nature; 2.

Wilderness Identification: Druids can use body language, tone, and facial expressions to influence the attitude of animals; 3.

Animal Companion: Druids can have an animal companion to grow together with them]

The knowledge of these skills was deeply imprinted in her mind, but they were not as easy to use as in actual games and required learning and practice.

As she made her choice of profession, the following pages gradually unlocked.

She flipped open the Character Attributes page.
