Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

186: Chapter 186 Official VisitA national-level project, and a nationwide security engineering project at that. If this were successfully completed, the status of Tianxing Group would be completely unshakeable, and Chen Mo’s reputation would reach new heights.

Chen Mo understood the weight of this project and also knew clearly that this was a great endeavor that would benefit the country and its people.

Moreover, with his capabilities, he was fully capable of undertaking this project without needing to worry about funding or technical issues.

After a moment of thought, Chen Mo said: ”Understood. Reply to them and tell them I agree to a face-to-face meeting. Let them decide the time, and the location will be in the VIP lounge on the top floor of our headquarters.”

”Understood, President Chen! I’ll go reply right away!” Zhang Kai acknowledged, then turned and left the office to convey Chen Mo’s decision.

Li Yue said excitedly: ”President Chen, a national-level security project—this is just too amazing!”

”Hmm.” Chen Mo nodded and said: ”This is a good thing. Not only can it help the police, but it can also make the common people feel more secure.”

That afternoon, Zhang Kai finalized the meeting time, setting it for ten o’clock the next morning.

The Official Authorities also attached great importance to it and specifically informed them in advance that the delegation would be led personally by the head of the General Administration, accompanied by high-level officials such as technical experts and legal heads, making it a very high-spec meeting.

Meanwhile, cooperation invitations from both domestic and overseas continued to pour in endlessly. Every day, countless enterprises and financial groups sent emails or made calls; some wanted to invest and acquire shares, some wanted to purchase technology licenses, and others sought exclusive partnerships. The terms they offered were increasingly generous, with some financial groups even willing to put up hundreds of billions in funds in exchange for a portion of Tianxing Group’s shares.

All these invitations were rejected by Chen Mo. Just kidding—with the technology Tianxing currently possessed, how could he possibly let them acquire shares? Especially when it involved foreign capital.

Early the next morning, the Tianxing Group headquarters campus was fully prepared.

At nine-thirty in the morning, several imposing and dignified black Hongqi sedans slowly drove into the Tianxing Group headquarters campus, with police cars escorting the motorcade in the front and back.

The cars stopped steadily at the entrance of the 108-story main building. The doors opened, and a group of people stepped out one by one.

Leading them was a middle-aged man in a formal suit with a steady demeanor. He had a resolute face and sharp eyes, naturally exuding an aura of authority that commanded respect without anger. He was none other than the head of the National Public Security Administration, Director Li.

Behind him followed a dozen entourage members, including officials in suits and technical experts wearing glasses.

Chen Mo, accompanied by Zhang Kai, Li Yue, and others, stepped forward to greet them.

”Director Li, welcome to Tianxing Group.” Chen Mo extended his hand and said in a calm tone.

Director Li hurriedly stepped forward, grasped Chen Mo’s hand, and said with a smile: ”President Chen, I’ve long admired your name! Meeting you today, you truly are young, promising, and possess an extraordinary demeanor. You are worthy of being the worlds richest person; to have achieved such a great career at such a young age is truly admirable.”

Director Li genuinely admired Chen Mo. To be so young, to have started from scratch, to have topped the list as the worlds richest person, and to have developed so many technological innovations that benefit the country and the people—what was even more rare was his low-key and steady personality, devoid of any arrogance. Such a young person was truly rare.

”Director Li, you flatter me.” Chen Mo smiled faintly, turned to the side to lead the way, and said: ”Please come inside; let us discuss the details in our VIP lounge.”

The group followed Chen Mo into the main building lobby. Upon entering the lobby, Director Li and his accompanying officials and experts were instantly stunned.

The twenty-meter-high lobby, with its polished mirror-marble floors, intelligent starry ceiling lights, floating reception desk, and ecological greenery accents, was minimalist yet grand, full of futuristic vibes, and exuded top-tier quality in every detail.

Director Li couldn’t help but exclaim: ”President Chen, your headquarters is truly magnificent! Not just domestically, but even globally, there is nothing that can compare to it. It is truly a futuristic technology city.”

”Director Li, you overpraise it; it’s just a place for office work and research.” Chen Mo said with a smile, then led everyone to take the exclusive elevator directly to the VIP lounge on the upper floors.

The elevator ascended rapidly, and in just a few dozen seconds, it arrived at the floor where the VIP lounge was located. The VIP lounge was equally spacious and grand, with luxurious and elegant décor and an excellent view. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, one could take in the entire view of She Mountain and the beautiful scenery of the campus.

Everyone took their seats. Staff brought in tea and then quietly withdrew, leaving only the core personnel from both sides in the VIP lounge.

Director Li picked up his teacup, took a sip, and without beating around the bush, got straight to the point: ”President Chen, you must be aware of the purpose of my personal visit today. Let’s be direct and speak plainly.”

”Director Li, please go ahead.” Chen Mo made a gesture of invitation.

Director Li put down his teacup, his expression becoming serious as he said: ”Although our domestic public surveillance system has become widespread, most of it consists of traditional monitoring that can only record footage for evidence and cannot actively identify or issue warnings. Every year, the pursuit of fugitives across the country consumes vast amounts of manpower, material resources, and financial capital. Even so, many fugitives still manage to roam freely, posing a significant threat to social security.”

”We have been paying attention to loopholes in public security and control. Later, we learned that Tianxing Group has developed top-tier facial recognition technology that is highly accurate, responsive, and capable of precisely identifying disguised fugitives. We organized experts to evaluate it, and this technology is currently the most advanced in the world, fully capable of addressing the shortcomings in our domestic security.”

”Combined with your strength, President Chen—as the worlds richest person, with immense financial power and outstanding credibility, and with Tianxing Group’s top-tier R&D capabilities—after deliberation, we unanimously agreed that this national-level security project would be most suitable if entrusted to Tianxing Group.”

Director Li looked at Chen Mo and said in a sincere tone: ”Our plan is to fully integrate Tianxing’s facial recognition technology into the national public surveillance network to create a national-level intelligent security system. The initial phase plans to invest ten billion in funds to first conduct pilots in major cities across the country. Once the pilots are successful, it will be rolled out nationwide, covering all cities, counties, and towns.”

”All equipment upgrades, system debugging, and technical integration will be the responsibility of Tianxing Group. Subsequent maintenance and updates will also be fully handled by you. Once the project is implemented, the level of public security nationwide will see a qualitative improvement, and the sense of security among the common people will be greatly enhanced.”

After speaking, Director Li looked at Chen Mo, waiting for his reply. The accompanying officials and experts were also looking at Chen Mo.

Chen Mo’s expression was calm. After listening to Director Li, he spoke without the slightest hesitation: ”Director Li, Tianxing accepts this project.”

Upon hearing this, Director Li’s face instantly lit up with joy. Just as he was about to speak, he was completely stunned by Chen Mo’s next words.

”However, I have one condition and one decision.” Chen Mo looked at Director Li and said: ”My decision is that for the initial nationwide pilot, all costs for technical deployment, equipment upgrades, and system integration will be fully borne by Tianxing Group. We will undertake the construction for free and will not accept a single cent from the state.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the entire room instantly fell silent, quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
