Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

187: Chapter 187 UndercurrentsDirector Li’s eyes widened in shock, thinking he had misheard, and he asked in disbelief:

”Mr. Chen, what did you say? Fully free? The first phase involves an investment of ten billion; are you sure?”

The accompanying officials and experts were also stunned, each one staring at Chen Mo with expressions of utter incredulity.

Ten billion in funding, fully free—this was no small sum.

Oh, they almost forgot—this was Chen Mo, the Chen Mo who treated money as if it were nothing.

When Li Yue and Zhang Kai heard Chen Mo’s words, although they knew this was nothing to him, their mouths still twitched.

Chen Mo smiled and said:

”I’m sure, fully free.

As a child of Huaxia and the worlds richest person, I have the ability and the responsibility to contribute to the country’s public security and the safety of the people.

Money is merely a worldly possession; if it can bring social stability and peace of mind to the people, it is worth more than anything.”

Then, Chen Mo continued:

”As for my condition, there is only one.

This Face Recognition System must strictly protect citizen privacy. All data must only be used for public security prevention and fugitive apprehension; it must never be abused, leaked, or used for other commercial purposes.

The entire process will be supervised by both the Official Authorities and Tianxing to ensure compliance and legality, and it must never infringe upon the personal rights of the people.”

After hearing Chen Mo’s words, Director Li was deeply impressed:

”Mr. Chen, thank you!

On behalf of the people of the entire country, I thank you!

Your vision and sense of responsibility are truly admirable!

Having an entrepreneur like you is a blessing for the country and the people!”

All the accompanying officials and experts also applauded to express their admiration.

They had seen countless wealthy entrepreneurs, but they had never seen anyone like Chen Mo, who possessed such patriotism and responsibility, willing to provide ten billion in funding for free just to benefit the people.

Chen Mo smiled and said:

”Director Li, you flatter me; this is just what I should do.”

”Good! Good! Good!”

Director Li said the word ’good’ three times in a row:

”Mr. Chen, we fully agree to your conditions! We will supervise the entire process together to strictly protect citizen privacy and ensure the technology is never abused!”

The two parties reached an agreement on the spot without the slightest disagreement.

Next, the legal and technical teams from both sides began to coordinate the details and draft the cooperation agreement.

Everything progressed very smoothly.

Afterward, Chen Mo took Director Li and his group to visit the Tianxing Group’s R&D Center.

Walking into the R&D Building and seeing the top-tier laboratories, high-end equipment, and busy technical backbone, Director Li and the accompanying experts were even more amazed.

The research conditions here were better than many national research institutions, and the equipment was all top-of-the-line; no wonder they could develop such powerful technology.

Experts from the Technology Department gave a live demonstration of the Face Recognition System. Facing various disguise tests, the system accurately identified everything with extremely fast response speeds and amazing results.

After watching the demonstration, the accompanying security experts gave a thumbs up and were full of praise, stating that this technology would definitely change the national security landscape.

After the visit, Director Li and his group left happy and satisfied.

Before leaving, Director Li shook Chen Mo’s hand firmly, thanked him repeatedly, and promised to fully cooperate with Tianxing Group’s work by opening a green channel to ensure the project’s smooth progress, stating that departments at all levels nationwide must cooperate unconditionally.

That afternoon, the strategic cooperation between the National Public Security Administration and Tianxing Group was officially announced to the public.

As soon as the news broke, it instantly exploded across the internet, its popularity completely overshadowing the previous headquarters completion. it rushed to the top of all hot search lists, and major official media scrambled to report it as a headline. Top media outlets like CCTV News and Peoples Daily published articles praising Chen Mo, commending his patriotism and responsibility as the worlds richest person, calling Tianxing Group a benchmark for national enterprises.

Domestic netizens were in a complete frenzy, and the comment sections were instantly flooded with a wave of praise from across the web.

”My god! Chen Mo is so awesome! A ten-billion national project, built for free! This is the true worlds richest person—responsible and visionary!”

”I’m moved to tears! Wealthy, capable, and caring for the country and its people—this is the kind of idol we should follow!”

”Before, I only knew Chen Mo was the worlds richest person, but I didn’t expect him to have such a grand vision, providing security for the country for free. It’s so admirable!”

”Tianxing Group is incredible; their face recognition technology is top-tier in the country, and Chen Mo is the pride of our people!”

”We won’t have to worry about fugitives running rampant anymore. With this system, public security will definitely get better and better. My sense of security is maxed out!”

”A thumbs up for Chen Mo! A thumbs up for Tianxing Group! This is a true national entrepreneur, a pillar of the nation!”

”Donating ten billion just like that—wait, no, it’s free construction—this kind of boldness is unmatched!”

”Following such an entrepreneur and such a company gives me peace of mind! From now on, I’m a loyal fan of Tianxing!”

In addition to ordinary netizens, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and stars from all walks of life also reposted and liked the news, praising Chen Mo’s responsibility.

Local government departments and police official social media accounts also posted messages of thanks, expressing their respect for Chen Mo and Tianxing Group.

Overseas media also scrambled to report on this matter, and the global financial and tech circles were shocked by Chen Mo’s actions.

Foreign media praised Chen Mo as the worlds richest person with the greatest vision and marveled at the responsibility shown by Dragon Kingdom enterprises. The name of Tianxing Group resounded globally, and its brand value skyrocketed, leaping to become a top-tier global tech security giant.

For a time, flowers, applause, and praise all poured toward Chen Mo and Tianxing Group.

However, while everyone else was immersed in joy and glory, Chen Mo remained absolutely calm.

Chen Mo knew very well that since Tianxing Group was currently too much in the limelight and his reputation was so high, it would inevitably attract jealousy and wariness from others.

Especially those established security firms, foreign capital forces, and competitors who had always seen Tianxing as a thorn in their side; they would definitely not stand by and watch Tianxing grow step by step, nor would they watch him bask in glory after securing a national project.

Beneath the spotlight, crises are bound to be hidden.

Sure enough, before long, Li Yue came to report:

”Mr. Chen, smear campaigns against us have started appearing online. Someone is intentionally spreading rumors that our face recognition technology will infringe on citizen privacy and steal personal information, inciting netizens to boycott our project.”

”Also, our R&D network has been attacked by unknown hackers attempting to steal our Core Face Recognition Algorithm.

Additionally, suspicious individuals have been spotted on the campus, seemingly trying to sneak into the R&D Building to sabotage equipment.”

”I’ve looked into it, and all of this is being orchestrated by someone behind the scenes.

It’s established foreign security giants who have teamed up with several hostile domestic enterprises and some foreign capital to pull these tricks.

They are jealous of our project and fearful of our technology, so they want to secretly cause trouble and obstruct the implementation of our project.”
